  1. Egg-actly! That's why I pick and choose my shows because I do want those good seats and I have no problem going through a broker to get them, but I'm not rich. Last year I saved my income tax refund for Clay and even then, NYC for the 09/19 GMA and the Regis Show had me going over my budget due to room and board in NYC. This years income tax is earmarked for two things (heh, not those two things) - new gutters on my house (because mine just fell the freak off!) and my car inspection (10 years old, but it's paid for!). Whatever is left over will be for Clay. I'm watching AI and you know? Tamyra Gray was really robbed. That girl is mad talented. Unfortunately she just didn't connect with the American Public. I'm off to make chicken and whole wheat pasta in a pesto sauce. I made it last night and it was so good, I'm making it again tonight.
  2. Well, I can honestly say that I'm a front row 'ho. Or 2nd, 3rd, 4th. I've never cared before but there nothing on this earth like the excitement of seeing Clay up close. I've had lousy seats, I've had meh seats, and I've had lots of front seats. I've already upgraded from 4th row to 1st row and I don't regret a single minute of it. I don't care if Clay sees me or not. Don't get me wrong, getting an eye-fuck or a smile is wonderful but it's not the reason I do it. I do it because adrenaline rush is like a drug. I've had Clay talk to me from the stage and sing to me and I've had times when he ignored me. Who cares? I get to see his freckles up close. I get to see him sweat. I get to see the various face scrunches. I've known some of the fans who sit in the front and hate the show *waves to CinPA-you know who, don't you?* I just don't understand them *scratches head* I may only go to one concert this tour, I don't know yet. Meadowbrook has a round trip flight from Philly to NH for around $88.00, but if I fly, I need to be up front or else it's not worth the expense of the flight, hotel room, food, and dog boarding. I'm not sweating tickets this year. I"m not jumping on the first concert. A friend did but I had to turn her down because I'm not driving 5 hours to stand in line for 12 hours to compete with 15 year olds running for the best general admission seats. Ain't gonna happen.
  3. Hi, everyone. I'm Shadylil. I know a lot of you guys from the Clackhouse. My home board is Clayton's Place (CP), a little board with some b-i-g snark. We were once described as irrevently intelligent by some journalist who did an article on Clay message boards. That cracked our shit up. Anyway, been in the fandom since April 2003, found Clay at 'Take'. Started on That's the Clay and thought that ALL message boards were angelwinger boards until I found the PRoC. I was a bit too angelwinger for them (which cracks me up today), but I learned about board freedom on CP. The two boards I post on are CP and CH. I basically can't stand the ofc anymore. Too many fan police and righteous people there. I've been to a lot of Clay concerts and I'm very lucky to have attended some of the 'milestone' concerts/events, like Wilkes IT, the first GMA in the Park, Regis and Kelly. I finally got to shake Clay's hand twice this past December at the buses. Why is it that just touching his hand makes me smile? Anyway, I love Clay Aiken, I love this fandom (most of the time) and if one can't have fun in their fandom, why are they here? I've made some really good RL friends from my Clay adventures like CinPA and Rockysmom and have met so many others that I consider friends.
  4. Hello everyone *waves* Perhaps I should use an emoticon to properly convey my meaning. You guys have a few emoticons that are right up my alley: :finger: (except this one looks as if he's trolling for boogers) The last time I saw so many dancing bananas was at a Clay Aiken concert. Well, OK, he only had one dancing banana but quality over quantity, people, and size really does matter. CinPA has been telling me to stop on in, so I thought I would and say hello to some old friends and some new people that I don't know. I like your board.
