  1. Tweet @clayaiken: Really awesome story! Check it out! http://goo.gl/y4S1u @EByard @glsen
  2. Quote: Clay Aiken ‏@clayaiken I'm tired of being a swing state! I miss the days when no one spent money on clogging up NC TV stations with political ads! :-/ #overit 5:23 PM - 22 Aug 12 via Twitter for iPhone
  3. Tweet @clayaiken: Lets B clear- THIS Aiken RESPECTS a womans right 2 choose. Maybe @RepToddAkin could use some lessons from me on the female body! Haha #irony
  4. Tweet: @clayaiken: Ironic, but true RT @TessRafferty: @clayaiken knows more about how a woman's body works than @RepToddAkin.
  5. Clay tweet: @clayaiken: 2nd place on Idol. 2nd place on Apprentice. And now thanks to @RepToddAkin I'm only the 2nd stupidest Aiken!
  6. On my iPad so I can't bring it over but there is a pic that people think is a back view of Parker. It is on CV.
  7. That's a beautiful blog! It made me tear up.
  8. Unfortunately we only got to see what NBC deemed was worthy! How could they not show Ray Davies of the Kinks? I was gobsmacked when they said we are going to our new show and come back in an hour to see The Who! All in all it was A+ for the show and Z- for NBC
  9. For those interested here is the media guide for the Opening Cermonies of the Olympic Games: http://www.london2012.com/mm/Document/Documents/Publications/01/30/43/40/OPENINGCEREMONYGUIDE_English.pdf
  10. I loved it! Fortunately I had lilyshine to give me some commentary that was actually useful, as opposed to the drivel of the network commentators. There was a lot of national symbolism that you also, merrieeee, understood, I'm sure--not the least of which was about what I kept calling "the hill". Anything you are in the mood to share here about the symbolism would be most interesting to me. I loved the national health segment and some of those doctors and nurses could really dance! Bean was hilarious--I usually don't laugh at him, but I laughed my face off. And I loved the segment with the Queen and James Bond. I think she's beautiful and such an amazing person. I was very impressed with the choices regarding the cauldron and the lighting of the torch, and also the choices of flag bearers. They did a fantastic job of conveying the meaning of the Olympic movement. For me that was the main reason I just could not get into the opening ceremonies..way too much symbolism for me and unless you really know your English history, I think a lot of people would be lost. It just did not keep my attention. I did enjoy the "Queen's" entrance..that was pretty funny. For me..I watch the ceremonies for the parade of nations..that to me is the most enjoyable. It seems like each host country tries to outdo the previous host country and sometimes it is just overkill. Kimf If the commentators had been on the top of their game they should have explained the symbolism. For example; Unless you knew who Isambard Kingdom Brunel was a lot of the Industrial Revolution section would have not been understood. I thought the coverage by NBC stank! They cut out some things that they didn't think people would understand. There was a brilliant intro done by Benedict Cumberbatch (swa-oon) that was not shown here! I dislike Bob Costas intently and that's all I'm going to say about that......and as for Seacrest interviewing people.....yuck! Did you know those were the Queen's Corgis! She was asked if she wanted stunt doubles for them and she said no!
  11. All I can say is the Opening Ceremony was bloody brilliant! Oh and Clay the dancers were all volunteers not professionals!
  12. I think he is a little YNW! I think he and his buddy Cameron decided to randomly put States names out there and have fun watching the fans extrapolate! He so knows that is what is done in the fandom. Of course I would only say that here. I might get trampled on if I said that elsewhere!
  13. Hey couchie did you get your phone back yet?
  14. Hee Hee! I'd forgotten about that trip....yep I also sneaked into the front row that same time! And she wasn't kidding I really was blind as a bat! I had cataract surgery not long after and could finally see. The doctor said I shouldn't have been driving hence the switcheroo of the drivers. God have we had fun or what? Hee I love this fandom! Oh yeah I almost forgot the time I jumped into a strangers car, at some mall, to go to my first Clay party! It was 00lsee by the way.
  15. Crazy?? Hmm. The whole experience is pretty crazy when you think about it! Two things come to mind. One.....Driving to Dallas, to a soccer stadium, to see HIM on the 4th of July , driving back to Houston, hosting a party for 100 Clay fans the next day, going to the Clay concert after and then leaving at 2 in the morning to go to Tulsa, getting stopped by State Troopers because I was being abducted by some strange people (Kandre swears it was because I was the token white person), going to the worst venue ever for a Clay show, screaming like a banshee with keepingfaith because he touched our hands and then turning around and driving back to Houston! Phew I'm tired thinking about it! And the other time was standing in the Schubert Alley when it was 19 below with the wind chill, giving a cellcert! I couldn't pry my fingers open to put the phone away....they were slightly frozen. I'm surprised I didn't get frostbite!
  16. It so pretty to see his name here! http://cumberlink.com/news/local/jackson-browne-liza-minnelli-among-featured-performers-at-luhrs-center/article_dcbd39a8-ce1d-11e1-82fe-001a4bcf887a.html
  17. That was when I knew I had it bad. I was so upset that he wasn't coming to Houston I was in tears. It never occurred to me to travel! I said then I was going to have to quit the fandom because I was too invested in him. Then I came to my senses and watched clack and felt a whole lot better. I have not missed a tour since! And by the way I still have it bad!
  18. Saw this at CV QUOTE Arsenio Hall ‏@ArsenioOFFICIAL @clayaiken <----- there is ONLY one logical and perfect choice for a new IDOL judge! Especially when it comes to IDOL alumni!!! #feelme? 6:00 PM - 13 Jul 12 via Echofon
  19. Happy birthday kimiye! How many days? I missed the Jukebox tour and vowed I would do whatever I could to see one show of each tour. I feel bad for those that can't do it. Since my DH has retired things are different but he is insisting that I do not give up my "girl" time! Meanwhile he is on a road trip with my dd to Mt Rushmore, the Badlands and Yellowstone while I work. Works for me!
  20. I think we are all going to be really close!
