  1. Well crap! I love ATDW and still listen to it all the time. Clay is the only one who can make me love a song that I previously didn't much like, such as Here You Come Again. When I first heard he was recording that I was like, you have got to be kidding?!?!? But then I heard it OMG. Who can make a twangy Dolly Parton song sexy?? Clay Aiken that's who. Apparently, I am not so objective because I love anything Clay sings. As soon as I hear that voice, its brand new for me and I have yet to prefer an original of anything over Clay's version. The fandom cracks me up because honestly I don't want to tell Clay what he should be doing or should be singing. I have enough decisions I have to make in my own life nevermind his. lol But I do want for him to make those decisions and be able to say how much he loves what he does, and to know that as a fan I back him 100%. Because I know whatever Clay touches will be new, fresh and golden for me. And if it puts that beautiful smile on his face too, its all good!
  2. Hi All, I am having a trying week and its only Tuesday. My mom took a bad fall yesterday and broke her L-12 Vertebrae. She is in the hospital and will be seeing the surgeon today to see if she requires surgery. Either way she has got a good amount of recovery ahead of her. She is one of the strongest people I know, so I know she will get thru this but its gonna be rough. She's the one who holds everything together. My Dad is trying but he is not the best caregiver in the world. LOL You're prayers are appreciated and if Clay blogs would someone please email or PM me???? I could use some words from the man about now.
  3. oh my gosh, crazy busy day!!! just wanted to send my happy birthday wishes to you cha cha trusty!! hope you had a great day :-)
  4. I just talked to megaclayfan and she also agrees so lets go with that. I am so sorry for all the confusion! And megaclayfan also wanted me to extend her apologies as well.
  5. We have someone who did not get a ticket and needs one. Can you help? You guys prolly know her mblovesclay needs a ticket. She's welcome to mine, but lilyshine posted her extra first, so I'll let her speak first. Looks like there will be plenty of folks wanting them. Whew. That would be cool sorry I missed your post first lillyshine. Just trying to find her one :-)

  9. OMG I hate not being able to post while at work!!! I read the messages cause I have them sent to my email but I cannot get on the board to post. Grrrr Anyway, I am so super excited and happy about the new label!! Woo!! Hoo!! And congratuations to CLAY!!
  10. I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but I did some creative cropping to make a desktop picture of just Clay:
  11. I just wanted to stop by and thank everyone for the lovely birthday wishes. I have never found a board that I felt particularly at home at before this one, so it means a lot to me. georgiesmybaby, that has got to be the sweetest thing anyone has ever said about me. **sniff** You are the best! Hope everyone has a great rest of the week. I am loving the photo game :-)
  12. Great news!!! Love the video too what a bonus! Just wanted to throw out there for anyone who will have trouble walking the four blocks from the hotel to the restaurant, there is a parking deck less than one block from the restaurant and its free on the weekends as well as some nearby street parking. This may also be an option for people who have rented cars and need to drive to the airport after the brunch.
  13. I'm not a librarian, but some of my friends have called me OCD about how my clack is organized Oh wait... maybe its a compliment! Basically I have everything sorted by date. On my photo hard drive I have categories like: 2003 2004 2005 etc Then inside each folder there are other folders naming the date. Here are some examples of my folders from 2009: 01-18-2009 Clay and Ruben at Lucky 32 01-22-2009 GFI 03-08-2009 JFK 03-22-2009 Reed's After Party 03-28-2009 GLAAD Awards 04-08-2009 ANTM 04-14-2009 30 Rock 04-14-2009 Clay and Diane Sawyer at Peninsula 04-21-2009 FEC Awards 04-25-2009 Clay in Beverly Hills 04-26-2009 Clay and Parker 05-03-2009 Clay Shopping 05-03-2009 Parker at lunch with Jaymes Well you get the idea. Inside each folder are the various photos I have saved. For concerts I do a similar thing. When the tour dates are announced I make a folder inside the year for that tour, then I make subfolders with the date and name of the venue. Then photos for each venue are saved. I usually also have a misc folder inside each tour folder for photos that I cannot determine the exact venue for. At times I may run across things that I do not have the dates for, especially with pre-AI photos so in those cases I have used some more general descriptions such as baby pics, teen pics, etc. By the way, my video clack is organized in this same basic way too. But I can always find things I know this is for general hard drive storage and you will probably be using something like Coppermine for this project but thought it was worth sharing my system anyway in case anyone was interested.
  14. Thanks cindilu2 stupdendous as always. I am sure you don't miss him. The fact that we spent last evening watching clack rather than going out and watching some other entertainer in the park. That's normal isn't it???? WELLLL ISN'T IT???? Sounds perfectly normal to me!! I spent last night watching the Best of Sterling Heights videos. What?!?!? That isn't what most people do on Friday nights to unwind after a long week?????? *g*
  15. Cool game idea! I can only get on the board in the evening after work so hopefully there will be a large enough window of time to play. I really wish Verizon had the iphone. I may have to try a Blackberry or something when I can upgrade in Jan because getting on the board (or the OFC) on my phone is next to impossible and its driving me nuts! lol Loved the Q&A :-)
  16. Oh my gosh I did not even think about the possibility of scans being used to make counterfeits! I just wanted a copy of the CD Cover to put the Album Art in my itunes library.
  17. Thanks for the prayers everyone. My Mom saw Archie after his two biopsies today and she said he seemed like a happy dog so I was so glad to hear that. Will keep you posted on the results. I am working on my itunes library and wondered if anyone saved a jpg (or other photo format) of the LWLHD Vol 2 or Redefined CD cover when they were floating around ebay? Also, just after the GMA interview that had video of Clay and Parker at home someone, I think Gerwhisp, did a mp3 of all the clips of Clay singing "Baby Mine" strung together. Does anyone have that by chance? Canfly, I use Photoshop Elements. Tribecca, I cannot believe the Mohegan Sun said that. If the show is reserved seating and your freebies were two particular seats, that is one thing. Did you specifically ask for "accessible" seating??? Because even if a show is general admission, theatre's still must have designated seating accessible by those with disabilities. Its part of the Americans with Disabilities Act. I believe ADA Title III, which is the section on Public Accommodations, would apply as it covers places like movie theaters, convention centers and sports arenas. Perhaps you need to ask them what their policy is for accessible seating or (and I hate this terminology with a passion) handicapped seating. There is no reason your Mom should not be able to attend a general admission show just because she has a walking disability.
  18. Hey Y'all, I know we have some animal lovers here, so I wanted to ask a favor. This is Archie. He is my sister's dog and is now about 8 years old. He is a rescue from the SPCA and I picked him out when he was just a puppy, about 8 weeks old. He is a great dog! Stubborn at times but full of love and protection of his family. In 2000, our house caught on fire and Archie is the reason my sister and I are here today. She and I were roommates then and he saved us. Then later in 2003 I had a lot of health issues and Archie would stay right with me and take care of me. He was the best therapy and one of the main reasons I was able to get to the point I could function again. So even though he is her dog, I have a special place in my heart for him and love him very much. Archie has been fighting an auto-immune disease and now he likely has a very rare form of cancer. He is having another biopsy tomorrow. He has been on steroids, antibiotics and is taking tramadill for the pain. He is not yet terminal so we are holding onto the option of treatment, pending the results of the tests. Any prayers or positive thoughts would be most appreciated. Thank you so much. He is a pointer mix. This is one of the photos I took of him late last year. I love how expressive he is.
  19. Awesome, thank you! I'll email them tomorrow!! Too bad it's not til 11 AM....but we might have to go with that. I wonder if they would consider an earlier start? Hmmmmm...... Can you also ask if their 2nd floor is accessible?? Maybe we also need to figure out how many people are renting cars/using shuttles in case we need to go outside of downtown. ETA: Tir Na Nog (the irish pub we went to lunch on Sat afternoon last year) also has a breakfast buffet starting at 10:30 am on Sunday: http://www.tnnirishpub.com/menus/sunday-brunch
  20. First and foremost.... love the pic of Clay and Reed!!! FromClaygary, I am so sorry about the Mariott but cannot say I am suprised. That is a horrid hotel as far as customer service goes IMO. I am thinking BAF must get quite a bit comped or donated. I think the Sheraton would be a good 2nd choice if they have the space. I don't think they have a private room though. There is a restaurant there on the 2nd floor called The Grove Cafe and they have a breakfast buffet for $12. If would like me to give them a call I would be glad to, just need to know apprx how many people we have. Most of the restaurants downtown that are within walking distance do not open for breakfast, so it could be a challenge. If people are renting cars, then there are many more places in Raleigh but outside of downtown. Those are just my thoughts...
  21. Oh I am so glad you said that. I thought it was just me. I just am not into overly muscular bodies. Never have been. However... LOVING all the pix of hot sexy singerman!!
  22. I'm here!!! Well, I just got here anyway. As some of you know I just recently moved back to Northern California. Today I went on my first EVER trip to IKEA. OMG I love that store!! I really enjoy interior design, particularly comtemporary design and I love to organize. My dream job is to be a professional organizer but that hasn't happened so far. So IKEA was right up my ally. I had a great time just looking at all the displays and may go back again in the future just for entertainment value. LOL! I would love to completely redo my own space but its not in the budget at the moment. I did pick up a few bargains and am thinking I can just freshen things up a bit here and there for the time being. Hope everyone is having a good weekend :-)
  23. How could I forget The Real Me????? That one always makes me shiver. And I wasn't even thinking about Christmas ones. All Is Well is awesome and I also really love Clay's version of My Grown Up Christmas List and I agree about Good News too. Dang it, I am moved by so many of Clay's songs its hard to choose. Not that I am complaining though. I love it! And I love him. *sniff* merrieeee - congrats on your remodel finally being complete!
  24. Thanks Everyone! Kandre... Houston ISY is my fave & pretty much the only one I listen to. Love the growls!!
