  1. Don't forget merrieeee, YSRN and playbiller while you're at it. Since the awesome kind and wonderful Gibby :F_05BL17blowkiss: helped me escape a sporking with Roseanne *big wet sloppy MUAH!!!*, I'll volunteer to do this if artquest is still on vacation. I already listen to ATD constantly anyways.
  2. OK, missy. Is this a serious recommendation? Should I post it to FCA Media? But you gotta tell me who shot the video! You have 3 choices, I think - floridabelle, spotlightlover or canfly172. *stares at list.... gives a quizzical look....quickly rummages around hard drive .... searches again... sighs and hangs head....* Uh, I think I just gave YSRN an excuse. To end with a nice thought..... The best thing about falling asleep at the computer is that the first thing you see when you wake up is the screensaver, just inches from your face! *thanks, cindilu2!*
  3. Oh please keep it away! I noticed that it was gone but kept quiet in case it wasn't intentional. Hee! Speaking of instruments, he learned to use mine too.... *sighs*
  4. Um, Halo 3 was released only a week ago. Maybe Guitar Hero™ Encore: Rocks the 80s™?. ---- and I so wanna do him still!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Been missing ya, BC! *searches for staples/glue (to keep you on the board)*
  5. Good for you -- could you post a link? Been wanting to say this too.... This is going to come off so self-righteous that I'm going to have to smut again big time just to maintain my eHP eligibility but there is just way too much time and resources put into righting the perceived "wrongs" that were directed at Clay and in getting him the "respect he deserves". Of all the hundreds of thousands of grave injustices occuring everyday in this world, many of them in our very own neighborhoods, and all crying out for advocates, champions, letter-writers, outraged-bloggers we focus on ensuring that not a single negative thing is said or written about Clay???! Something that even he has asked us directly not to do? And for what? So that the tabloids some people read and the creepy djs they listen to will stop dissing their favorite guy? If only people spend even 1/10th of that effort learning about the voiceless victims who really need their help. Respect is something Clay earns for himself and he's been making great headway in this mong the people who truly matter - leaders in his community, industry and govenment. Having fans who attempt to buy or force respect from idiots who are not themselves respectable or who go with what's popular at the moment is not only not worthwhile, it even taints this same effort that they're trying to help. We talked about imagining how 10 years ago, high-school Clay would not have been able to predict all that he has today. (or didn't he?) Well we also need to look ahead 10 or 20 years into the future. Me, I see a bright one for him based on solid work and in doing the right things with what he's given. If fans really want to help this along, doing positive things (eg. even the simple act of buying 1 less copy of a tabloid or giving 1 less hit to a stupid website) instead of getting embroiled in the negative (actually paying for the garbage, reading it, expressing outrage to family members and co-workers and then continuing to keep it alive by blogging about it) really pays off in the long run. Whew, all done! Now I'm looking for an opportunity to smut... JBT - this was when I really, really lost it! Tough to pick -- but the heartland series (Rochester, Clio, Kettering, Toledo, <something I missed>, Interlochen) will always be on my mind -- specially Clio. If real estate prices drop even more, Clay should just get a partner, buy out that venue and sell concert weekend packages to us. It'll help the economy of the area & the food and lodging and shopping opportunities are wonderful too! JNT05 - there are v. few things I would exchange for the Iowa/KC experience.
  6. Slaps down a tenner that Clay doesn't do the Corey interview. You're on. It's a control thing. And besides he gets to ask the questions, his way.
  7. What clip??????????? Did I miss some clack????????? BWAH!!! Because they might show some clips of 2007 Clay in the foreground and the old AI2 clip playing in the back. On AI2 he was wearing a lot of bronzer and it would look weird to see so much contrast between present Clay and old Clay, so they had to put bronzer on the new Clay and so he had to shave his arms. (Whew! That's longer than most consipracies, but at least it's possible -- I'm sure Muski could write great fanfic with old & new Clay both!)
  8. Ah, CG...when I read this at first I could've SWORN it said, "Let Clay Aiken take you into the back....." I was soooooo going with him, too. Well, I prefer it as "Let Clay take you from the back" but have it your way. I would so go too...
  9. Thanks very much, luckiest1! Didn't know you did all that!!!! Smooches! FromClaygary, Yay for Williamsport! I might see you and Karen Eh? over there. (And I can buy&bring stuff from the Quilt show if you want anything) *cyber-holds both your hands and jumps up and down* Clack -- the original tapes will go to the TBAF, maybe in my lifetime of they want it and have a place for it; the full backups go to Solo. Ansa, are we quite sure of the results of those tests? Maybe you can test a few more times just to be sure. Hee! Thanks to you and couchie for taking to a whole new level!!! ETA: Make that "and if they know what to do with it". Last thing I'd want isr some custodian who'd scratch his head and toss out a box labeled "Clack". I said "in my lifetime" because my dad passed on at 95 and my maternal grandfather at 97, but who knows.. with the way people drive on concert roadtrips (*giggles* Not that I'm complaining, just stating fact)... *shrugs* Shady, I fell asleep at the computer too! Been doing a lot of that lately -- I'll need to do some yoga exercises pretty soon... Good luck and stay safe at your campout!
  10. eeep... uh, did we remember to let that the last ones go? whose turn was it? jazzgirl, you're right about the city of Houston though. Except for one other place, people haven't been nicer. When I moved here about 12 years ago I used to wander around downtown at lunchtime but I had to stop carrying a map because every single time I paused for a few moments to glance at the map, people would come up to me to offer to help. I was grateful that everyone was helpful but it was starting to get embarassing when it happened day after day. Most of my high school class is here in the US so I don't know how the reunions back home are doing. We have a yahoo group and service projects and stuff. Unfortunately, my 3 best friends became involved in fundamentalist groups here and the last time I had one of them over at home for a weekend it just didn't work out very well -- apart from trying to convert my family the entire time (and this was so unlike the happy, snarky, partner-in-crime I fondly remember) she sincerely, honestly believed that the final battle between good and evil was going to take place here in Texas and frequently gushed over how lucky I was to live here. Finally, I had to say something to the effect of, "Well, I'm not sure I want the Final Battle between Good and Evil to happen in my hometown because it would be blacked out on pay-per-view". That sort of killed the weekend, but she forgave me and keeps including me in "Repent-now" chain e-mails. *sigh* ETA: sylvie, Gracie Eleanor -- such a nice name for a lovely girl. She looks so peaceful! Would love to see pictures of some of your knitting/needlework too.
  11. I *am* a founding member of the eHP -- more specifically, I'm the eHP member who can answer questions like "Is there a camera in there?" by opening eyes real wide and twirling a lock of hair around one finger. (technically, took 4 of them into the Hard Rock venue in Orlando) Yes please, THANK YOU!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Thanks a bunch, Ansa! Feels like home already! ETA: Yikes! This would end up at the top of the page.
  12. (my bolding) Now there's the understatement of the year! The International Quilt Festival is one of the largest quilt events in the world, and still I believe the largest conference event hosted by the city of Houston. You should definitely have a look-see! It's dedicated to all kinds of needlework, not just quilting, and you'll see all manner of delicious things. If you're art-inclined, or color-inclined, it's a must! Don't plan on going for just one day though...I warn ya! And take a camera...you'll be able to take pictures, as long as you don't use your flash. There are always dyestuff companies there as well...for sure Jacquard. I've been to it many, many times but not since 2003...wonder what happened then? We have met, actually, but very briefly and casually so I'm sure you don't remember. I think it was Canandaigua, and probably jmh123 who introduced us...could have been goldarngirl...or maybe luckiest1? Hee...see what I mean? I'm not even sure! I'm the funny-looking one with the spiky hair which most people remember. FromClaygary, I met you and jmh123? I'm v. sorry. And here I was thinking how much I really want to meet both of you. I can't blame anyone else for that. And still red-faced on the Quilt Festival! LOL! Everyone around here seems to think it's a big deal but I chalked it up to local pride. So you've been to Houston for the show? If they have dye stuff, I'm definitely there! How considerate of Clay to start the tour at the end of November. How about getting Jerome involved? Better yet, get Jerome AND whips involved! (can I take the video? please?) The board is getting greener by the minute for me. Yay, Ansa and couchie!!! Hugs and smooches to you both!
  13. {{{Bookwhore}}} Didn't know about that. I guess I'd forgotten his old image -- the one that sticks to my head right now is of him leading merrieeee and others by the hand (just like in kindergarten) at the Asheville busline. Would love to see the picture of you standing up to him!!!
  14. Looks to see why everyone else's siggy works... oh, the color functions don't work with siggies. cindilu2, I saw it!
  15. Wheeee, a nice clean place to roll around in! *stretches lazily...uuuunnngh!* Love the new functions but one side of me wants to grab globs of paint and toss them all over! (or challenge Solo to a paintball match) *give Ansa a virtual back rub, in anticipation of all the work she's doing for us* couchie, my PM box gives this message "Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/findingc/public_html/sources/components_ucp/gallery.php on line 50" --- Not complaining & not rushin' (& i'm only printing out the message to help whoever is working the ticket) ... I answered all my PM's before the upgrade. What 'View New Posts'? Nods knowingly (while searching desperately)... oh, found it!
  16. It's different in every place. It wasn't Jerome in LA, it was a venue person. He was polite but firm and told me to put away the camera. He didn't lose his cool when 10 minutes later he had to say the exact same thing to toofargone who was behind me using what was obviously the same camera. In Columbus, the Ohio police were patrolling the grounds and they were curt and threatening; they said that they would escort me out of the venue if they see me using a camera. My worst experience was in Tampa. I wasn't even taking Clack at the time but one usher practically climbed on my lap while trying to nab the person behind me. couchie, it would be cute to get 'scolded' by Jerome but he doesn't seem to be in that business anymore. {{{AAIT}}} Thanks, Gibby!
  17. I was so disappointed because I was nabbed right after the Classics! Angela's parents were behind us and I was hoping to put together something nice for them -- *headbang* I handed the camera to toofargone who sat near me just for that purpose but by the time we got it set up, it was already in the middle of Angela's song. *more headbangs* FromClaygary, wow those are gorgeous!!! I've never done quilts but there's going to be a big show here in Houston on the first weekend in November. I think I'll go swing by just in case there's something interesting. Also, Karen Eh? used to teach quilting techniques, I think. Wonder if she's going to take her equipment to Kazakhstan? (ps. the place where I work has an office in Moncton; maybe we'll meet over there sometime) For Gibby, Ansa & Toots, these were done by better knitters using the colorways: DixieHellcat with Unicef07 QueenP with Unicef07 anubee with always & forever KAndre pointing to the Raleigh NAT yarn DixieHellcat made this hair wrap and mini-sock pin from the Raleigh NAT yarn
  18. ...sigh... I think I'm destined to always be a dog walker. Too bad because if my fantasies dreams ever came true and Clay were to hire me, Body Guard would be my job of choice. Imagine the possibilities. They're endless really. In my mind anyway. Can you think of a better job? xxx4clay, well, I kinda thought dog walker had something to do with those yoga positions we were talking about... Toots, Thanks! I guess it's an addiction since I dyed all those racks of yarn in the (Designs & Patterns) folder myself. LA audio clips -- It's probably too late for most but I added 24 files from The Greek to the folder. I'm beginning to love the LA vids. FromClaygary, I mostly dye and knit and I'm trying to learn to spin. I love to dye yarn in Clay colorways. Also made my first tapestry loom a couple of weeks ago. But I'm pretty much a newbie -- started out in the Spring of 2006 (since I found myself with lots of time on my hands). Tell us about what you do! Smooches! ps. Your GREAT grandson is a cutie! I bet he'll have his way with the ladies --- like someone we know. Hee! ETA: Gibby, Ansa, I'll post a picture of a couple of shawls I made but the work I love is the one I linked to above for FromClaygary (hand-dyed yarn for other knitters). DixieHellCat made lovely scarves from the Unicef and Fantasy (AI4) colorways and anubee had another beautiful one from the "Always and Forever" colorway. I'll link to their work since they're much better knitters than I am.
  19. I exchanged PM's with cindilu2 about the early sound of Tulsa songs and since I'm taking down a server at midnight tonight (and so have a bit of bandwidth until then), this is a link to all the unposted audio from Tulsa, Knoxville and Tampa. The link will be active until midnight and I will try to add audio from The Greek too. (Hope no one thinks this is unfair -- it's just that if we wait for the normal video process, it could take weeks to cover all these) BTW, the coughing guy in Knoxville was really trying v. hard not to do so; it was frustrating but unfortunate. I'll get on Goldwave sometime to try to tone him down. Link to audio files, today only!!! (9/23/2007) Awwww, unfortunately we usually meet in Houston so this will probably have to wait until you take a trip east. Or if you go to Dallas sometime, I can drive there to meet you. *keeps fingers crossed* *raises hand* Guilty. Yes, we were late to Pala, sorry. I'll watch for you on the representing lists -- must.meet.soon! BTW, if you were there in the afternoon, you must have seen Jesse? Any descriptions/recaps? Congratulations, Carolina Clay!!! What a handsome grandson. (And a Texan too!) I'm Scarlett everywhere except for OFC and CB where I'm Scarlett12O.
  20. I'm awful too so I wasn't going to mention this but just in case the people who knew my travel plans (cough-eHP-cough) read your post about our meeting in California and think I picked up someone over there -- I didn't -- KAndre was my partner throughout the state. Besides, we couldn't fit anyone else into the miata. :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  21. I did meet you, Scarlett, but you were in sorta busy at the time! I was toni7babe's guest at the CH preparty in Houston and she introduced us, you were so gracious and it was wonderful to meet you, but you were sorta busy at the time! Great party!! :F_05BL17blowkiss: I saw you a few times after that, but it was always in a group. AnAmeraikenInTX, I am such a dweeb and I apologize. I know now why ClayIzzaQT was puzzled when I said that it was so nice to meet her in Houston. toni7babe (my sweetheart) and I had PM'ed earlier about her travelling with ClayIzzaQT and when she introduced us, it was her name that stuck in my head. Which part of Texas are you from? Are you close enough to do an eHP lunch? I'm also going to a Fiber Arts Fair in the Hill Country right before the JNT06, if that's more convenient. :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  22. Yes, thanks very much for printing the lyrics, cindilu2! clayzedover, I'd like to think that that he wanted those songs sung at his show but thought he might get too caught up in them if he did them himself. xxx4clay, I'm the complete opposite. I know when I met you and can remember each time we saw each other again during the summer tour, but I kept thinking to myself after reading all these posts -- why haven't I met AAIT?
  23. Not as behind as me! :3: We're not behind, we're merely waiting patiently. Now, y'all may like my WPB but I happen to know that someone I lurve was sitting in my other WPB seat (and it may have been slightly better for audio; i took the one that was optimal for vids) So, yes, I'm very patient and can wait forever. I just hope I didn't kill her EIH when I got up to talk to her in the middle of the song because I was having problems (bad tape, bad battery) -- kicks self repeatedly -- yes, how how stoopid was that? *cries* (btw, nice to see ya CG. Hugs!!!)
  24. Happy birthday, aikim!!! Thanks for sending us off with a smile to begin each day! Lucia, Happy Birthday! Hope this is right.... "Parabéns pra você, nesta data querida. Muitas felidicades, muitos anos de vida." AnAmeraikenInTX, belated Happy Birthday!!! Thanks for your beautiful pictures and fanfic recommendation on chat yesterday! If there's anyone who can get people to a concert no matter where weather or traffic or lost purses flung them, it's Solo. For the Newark concert, she was going to pick up 3 of us at the airport (Newark, natch) but because of thunderstorms in the area not a single one of us ended up there -- PerusingOne took JFK instead, KAndre was supposed to fly into LaGuardia via Philly and I took a different flight into Philly. She and Damien plowed through traffice on the turnpike while simultaneously giving directions to PerusingOne on how to get to the hotel... in short, we all made it. If you need to get to a Clay Aiken concert, you can always count on Solo. (The pre-party's an entirely different matter :medium-smiley-070: though she'll try her best. We did get to playbiller's Newark preparty where the seafood was to die for!) However, the most entertaining ride belongs to KAndre! If Knotsberry Farms ever opens an Annex in Pala, they should just trace the route we took to the concert and it'll be their most popular thrill ride ever. (And btw, KAndre and I made it to the concert too!!!) Take me with you, please!!! (I like Fuji's and Gala's too)
