So Scarlett (or some other Mac savvy person)....on my laptop that has iDVD as a built in application, would I then use what I've converted via the DivxtoDVD, with iDVD to burn a DVD? I've never done one before... CG? Muski, these steps are for a PC. For a Mac, how about installing Perian instead? It's supposed to allow iDVD to recognize XviD, FLV and many other formats. (and then Front Row and NicePlayer will be able to play these too)

00lsee, this was from a note that I'd sent another FCA'er earlier this year. It's one way (& IMO an easy way) to make DVDs from YouTube files using freeware: 1. I use the Firefox Extension, Download Helper, to save YouTube and other media files. It adds an icon to the the toolbar that lights up and rotates whenever there's a downloadable clip. Clicking it brings up a list of clips to download. Easy & works for most sites. 2. For clips that don't have to be edited or ones that you don't feel like spending time on (eg. most non-Clay) and can just be burned straight, download and Install DivxToDVD from this mirror page 3. There's an excellent tutorial for DivxToDVD here. It can also be used for burning a bunch of other formats. There is a commercial version that can do menus and things but I haven't tried it. It probably works well too. 4. DivxtoDVD creates a folder called VIDEO_TS that will contain your VOB files. 5. Use Nero or Roxio or some other DVD Burner to create the DVD For Roxio, a. Open MyDVD and create a new project b. Click on Add Files and select the .VOB files that were created by DivxToDVD c. Save or Burn 6. If the file needs tweaking, download and install Super (the mirror site is less confusing) to convert it to a file that your favorite video editor can handle. Super can convert just about anything to anything. Use your editor to apply the change you need and them burn it just like any regular file. CG, I guess I should hurry and render stuff that'll make you do something else entirely. And I know just the clip (Merrillville MDYK -- have to do it for Ansa anyway)... heh! Luckiest1, I haven't forgotten you! (pls ignore if you already found a better solution) 00lsee, FromClaygary, for burning clips that don't need editing I use the free utility, DivXtoDVD, that you can download from this mirror site. There's an excellent tutorial for DivxToDVD here. 00lsee, it can be used for a bunch of other formats, not just DivX, eg. flv. Xena, after sharing melted white & dark chocolate & caramel with you I can only say that you definitely don't need a manual. And the Lena "surprise"? Classic!!! (btw, did anyone ever get Xack/Lack of that?) We all wanted to take you home to Houston with us.

Well... the fold/not-a-fold was the reason why last night, Solo said to upload DSIAFCD first. And the reason for my "having a hard time packing" post this morning ('cause apparently so did he)

Apparently, knowing about the stick had nothing to do with being able to successfully drive through a whiteout! Have you ever willingly driven through a blizzard? Maybe I should do the driving to Cleveland. I was feeling rather proud of myself as I was approaching Erie -- hardly anyone else was and I thought that if "Maneuvering Out of a Skid" were an Olympic sport I'd have gotten a perfect 10... until I remembered that I had a GPS (that doesn't have a sense of humor), multiple cell phones, 4-wheel drive, etc. Someday, when I cross the Sinai Peninsula with a donkey and a week-old baby (no, not Clay's), then I'll really be proud.... driving by all by yourself in a winter wonderland give you time to think, especially if all you have for company are 5 Clay CDs. Hugs to everyone who missed the show -- but really, it was "Pensacola" all over again. KAndre woud've gotten into another fight if she'd been there.

Yes, the "extra part" of OHN was rapturous! (is it from Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring?) Uploading Erie OHN right now -- it's going to take 70 minutes (that's the best we can do with the wireless here) but Eva's waiting for it. I have to say that it was very interesting to watch this concert format with people carrying signs (actually, multi-part signs where each person holds a word or something), screaming "I Love You Clay", screaming "Marry Me, Clay", talking the phone about her friend reading a story WHILE the friend was reading, waving arms multiple times, using flashes, discussing the show with their seatmates. I sure wish KAndre had been with me tonight -- remember Pensacola? I read a few boards and personally I am totally disgusted with the fandom. I joined this fandom because I had blood pressure problems and needed to keep off the political boards and not because I wanted to associate with a bunch of "people persons" that can analyze all sorts of things without actually like knowing facts. Personal annoyance point - Pissy - I HATE that term when assoicated with Clay - Pissy is a cat, or maybe a small child. I am sick of people feeling that Clay is a child. And for those that use it - I hate it when I the word toofy applied to Clay - he is not 2. I hate it I hate it I hate it. [/tantrum} But I deal with it and move on. No one knows if Clay was in a good mood or a bad mood unless they were there and the stories that attendees come back with are filtered though their expectations, which are frequently outrageous. Meet and greets are so generous and unheard of in this format, you would think some people would go to them with good manners - but NOOO-OOO-OOO - One person asks about tights - Hee hee we are talking about your penis Clay - isn't that cute???? Another person is asked not to take notes and takes out her pencil again after being asked not to - just lets not worry about Clay's feelings he has to be nice to us no matter how rude and thoughtless we are because he is nice to the mentally challenged. This is a case of someone feeling more loyalty to the fan board than to Clay - Another person wants a picture with them doing devil horns behind his head, I am sure we all want pictures taken of us like that! Clay is not a rag doll to do our bidding he is a human being and deserves to be treated as such. No means no, does not only have to apply to rape or to women. Give me a break, this man is more than patient in that he does not just call off these meet and greets. Well, I must be the pissiest person of all times because I would have walked out at the tights question. I don't see this as much of a fandom anymore, more of a board loyalty game and one upmanship in how rude people can be and get away with it. I can do Unos both nights if need be but having driven around both towns late at night on a weekend Omaha's Unos seemed to be the only possibility while Merrillville had blocks and blocks of choices.
