licky, I think the name change is permanent. Or it is to ME, at least. :F_05BL17blowkiss: Nice balloon picutres. I so want to ride in one of those some day....maybe for my 50th birthday!
muski, you're probably on a plane RIGHT NOW TO SEE CLAY (EEEEEEEE!), but send my congrats to Carrie and the teams. I read your post and I could FEEL the caring you have for your daughter. *sniff*
What adorable pictures from last night!
licky, I CERTAINLY remember that show -- I was there live for it, and had my binoculars trainined on Clay that entire night. That's one of my all time favorite clips of him....just jamming away, totally unaware that so many of us were watching HIM>
I can't wait to hear more from the Pala girls!
Gotta run...a rehearsal this morning, then housecleaning all day. *waves at atinal*

laughn, I'm sorry I didn't give you credit for that post. As far as the name thing goes....findingclayaiken. getclayaiken. Eh, I was tired. Besides, we're strating to get some cross-pollination between the two boards. (Which means I should actually, you know, post over there, right?)
-
Did she say flat Clay is dancing?
As much as I'd love to stay up for this, I don't think I'm going to make it much longer. Everyone have a great night, and looking forward to the clack tomorrow.

Bringing this over from findingclayaiken:
M&G gal talking on the stream...asked him if there was a chance that LAA would be on his next album and he said he didn't know, but that Jamie wanted it and he thought it might be. Going to be in Omaha NB for Christmas, but that's as far west as he might be. 10 in the M&G. Wearing the same clothes as last nightThe ring was given to him by a fan board. Outside engraved in Latin, 'use your voice.' From JanWhatever of CDB reporting from Kitty4Clay:
The ring he is wearing is a gift from Kitty, Morgan, and two other friends of theirs! It is titanium and has an engraving on it of "Use Your Voice" written in Latin! How great that he is wearing it!Could it be Jaymes and not Jamie?
Sorry sounds really really good tonight. Love the quality of his voice during this song.
-
I think I've heard of this place before. Sounds good to me.
-
I can't stand that I'm not going to any more.
I know, I know. For me, it's the bad part of seeing early shows. And being a responsible adult too -- that really sucks some times.
-
OK, so did he put the jacket back on or not after TOA?
I'm fading fast actually. I'm not sure if I'm gonna make it past this first half. Stayed up too late last night, I guess. *g*
-
He's mouthing along with these songs....which I've noticed he does often. I think he really REALLY likes this portion of the show so much.
OK, the big question....will he rip off the jacket tonight?
Sounds like he did!
I love this whole bit! He's so hysterical!
-
I'm having a hard time hearing much of anything here tonight.....although it cleared up pretty good right now. Talking about some other theme songs....Family Ties.
No one can remember the songs, so he's thinking the theme medley is going to go over REAL good. *g*
He likes that "brain fart" thing, doesn't he?
-
During the WW theme, he was putting rabbit ears behind Jesse's head!
-
It's always hard to exactly tell via a cellcert, but he sounds wonderful to me.
OK, he just interjected something there. He's full of it tonight, it sounds like.
-
Is this THE flat Clay?
Oh dear...I'm skeered.
-
Angie doing IWKWLI tonight.
The banter is not coming in good at all.
-
Reports are that he's looking gorgeous...and sounding fantastic. Hair kind of floofy, but in a good way. It's the voice that's killer tonight though.
Man, I'm getting depressed. I want to see him again.
Red and white striped socks! Hee. I'm always interested in the sock report.
I missed the ring thing! Cool...a new ring for him to auction later! *g*
-
Yeah, he held a LOT of notes a LOT longer tonight. Cool.
EIH. Sigh. I know this isn't a favorite of some, but I think this is a beautiful song. Sigh.
-
I switched to the CV cellcert....it's coming in really pretty good. Their report is that the hair looks very similar to last night.
-
That's DolcePienza.
EEEEE! HYCA!!!
Light suit jacket, striped shirt.
-
Gee, I'm having popcorn and beer after "bowling" two rounds with my husband on our Wii. *g*
Is anyone here going to do the CV cellcert? I can do either CV or CH.
YAY for jmh's mom!
-
EEEEEEEEEEE! Ansa's in Pala! What a great view from your room!!!! Too bad Clay wasn't at the sound check. And the winery sounds like a lot of fun.
YSRN, if you make that trip to the show...pick me up in Illinois first? Pweeze? *g*
georgiaclay, I see you down there! *waves and :F_05BL17blowkiss: *

Email received from the BAF and Aron Hall:
Dear Supporter,As you may be aware, Bubel/Aiken Foundation co-founder Clay Aiken is appearing on a celebrity edition of “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” hosted by Jeff Foxworthy on FOX. The show will air later, but Clay is taping his episode on August 28. For more info on the show, copy and paste this web address into your internet browser:
Beyond receiving the amazing exposure the show will bring, the Foundation will receive at least a $25,000 donation from the show. Anything beyond the $25,000 that Clay earns by answering "elementary" questions will also be donated to the Foundation. He will need to answer 6 questions to get beyond the minimum. 11 questions correct means the Foundation will receive a $1 MILLION check from the show.
We would like to issue a challenge to all of you. We would like you to pledge an amount for each correct answer Clay gives on the show. Whether it's 50 cents or 100 dollars, every amount will help us get closer to our goal of 100 Let's ALL Play camps in 2008.
If you would like to make a pledge, simply reply to this email (pledge@bubelaiken.org) with your pledge amount. We would like to receive all pledges by August 21 when we will announce the total pledges made. After the show, we will announce the number of correct answers (we're going to assume 11) and then you can make your donations online at www.bubelaiken.org or send in a check or money order to:
The Bubel/Aiken Foundation
ATTN: Smarter Pledge
8601 Six Forks Road
Suite 400
Raleigh, NC 27615
If you are a member of a Beta Alpha Chapter, you can include the chapter name with your donation and your chapter will receive the credit.
Also, and this is a big ALSO, why not take this opportunity to pass on this challenge to your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors? This not only will help with this particular drive, but can also spread more awareness about the Foundation.
Thank you so much for your support!
Sincerely,
Aron Hall

Thank you Maddy for posting that! Sounds like you've got a really nice relative there, to think of you like that. Also some nice insight into "the family." Very cool!
-
You rang?
-
Can.
Not.
Beeth.
Just watched the end of the TV Medley from last night (via jojoct :F_05BL17blowkiss: ), specifically the Jeffersons clip. It's a good thing I have my own office, because I fell off my chair from laughing so hard. Spastic!Clay! is all kinds of goofy. Funniest thing I've seen in years.
Also just watched the banter before WY...with the "wait a long time for the album." The way he cracks up after saying all this makes me just love that bad-assed snarky man all the more.
I guess he sang too, but I've just been concentrating on the banter and humor stuff. Heh.
That M&G recap is so cute. Conspiracy theories? Canadians? Roofs? Ruffs? Too, too funny.

Another late night for me....but it's so much fun! And the California girls should have another great night....
#13 The Aiken Experience. There's nothing else like it.

It's very very comparable to this picture from the previous night in San Diego:
Both pictures are so cool. I'd say THERE'S Rock!Star!Clay!, but that term has become a bit of a....bad set of words for me.
I'm hoping that when artquest gets back, she has her husband post too. (Sorry about the back...) I'd love to get a "he said/she said" take on this. The clack of WISYS is so funny. It's got to be a bit surreal for him too -- I mean, singing to a life size replica of himself? His mind must have boggled.
Off to watch more Pala clack!
OK, just watched the clack from jojoct called Bride to Be. This is what goes into the TV show medley. He starts singing The Facts of Life theme, and then goes into another one, one I'm not familiar with. "She's a small wonder...." ??????? So, librarian that I am....
God, you can find anything on YouTube anymore....
