  1. From CV. A site that picked up Clay blog: QUOTE We'll post the full diatribe after the jump, but for those of you who don't care enough to take three hours to read it, we'll sum it up for you: Clay somehow panders to his few "OMG this changes everything" fans without sounding hateful or condescending. We are slowly starting to respect this man-child more and more for the things he has to say on the gay issue his thoughts are eloquent and moving. There's few people who can speak to those who absolutely believe all homosexuals are going to hell without causing some sort of riot, and Clay is one of them. Bravo. http://www.mollygood.com/clay-killing-the-...-room-20081006/
  2. I always thought that it was silly looking for gender specific things in songs. I think he didn't sing "Touch" because he thought it was a stupid sounding out of date song. At the time , I don't it was a fit for Clay, either. Tom Jones, maybe. LOL!!!
  3. I got these YouTubes from CB. It looks like he had a good crowd for yesterday's stagedoors. That makes me very happy. You guys have a great Sunday. I love Clay Aiken and I'm so proud of him.
  4. djs111 I think you had me mixed up with another. I know nothing of this David of which you speak. LOL!!!!! ==================================================== merryclay - I have the feeling that Clay arranged things so that he will have a career even if most of his fans decamped for David Archuleta. Heeee.....that was the most insulting thing I read about Clay fan reaction, that they could flock to Archuleta.. a teenager. Good grief! Nothing against the boy, but not exactly a substitute.
  5. Clay looked very handsome last night. I love him. I'm working on going to Spam; he really needs us now. Those DB sweaters are pretty expensive. It also looks like cashmere. I always try to remember that Clay jumps out of his costume and wig, puts his clothes on , quickly, so he can come and sign autographs. Thanks Clay. I don't think he has a vain bone in his body. I respect that.
  6. I want to go to Spamalot. These kisses, hugs and pictures can't last much longer. I mean, if he would hug nutbars, he might actually hug me. We have a chance, girls. I bet he was dressed up in his Leno shirt to go eat with his friends that were in town. He is totally adorkable. My dreams are still the same. LOL!!!!! The Leno motorcycle signing outfit looked cool. I think the attack by the eggbeater to his head didn't help the whole look, last night. I luv him, he is the anti-cool. He is his own cool that far exceeds cool. Actually, I think he doesn't even think about all this, muchly.
  7. To me, it might kind of depend on who the victim was... Totally agree with the rest of your statement, though. ITA, too, except, I might let him have a swing of the axe at the madman.
  8. Someone tell the lie list maker, that in order to do that with Clay, she has to follow her finger -pointing with a list of all her personal lies, particularly the ones she did for self-preservation. Fair's fair oh self-rightous one. If I remember correctly the bible says--"judge not lest ye be judged".
  9. I'm coming out, world!!!! and OFC, of course. The funniest thing I read, yesterday was that being gay was the least of Clay's problems with that hair on Paula's. Heee!! I thought his hair was fine, but the post just hit me funny.
  10. I loved the stagedoor video.. That is all. I have to actually go out in the world and act normal today. That's a lot of pressure. LOL!!!
  11. cindilu said and I quote --Honestly? The only thing I fear in this fandom - and I think I have since the very first time I figured out how to use 'search' on the internet in a desperate need to know he wasn't lost to me (that would be May 22, 2003) is that he would stop performing. I personally would be heart broken. Whether it's right or wrong or 'weird', he (and my fandom) has become a part of my life - a much treasured part. I would mourn him (and it) terribly. -----------------------------yeah that!!!
  12. I just do not believe for one minute that Clay told any handlers before he told his mom and Brett and the rest of his family. I don't think it was about telling. I think people that worked with him closely all the time probably knew it. JMHO. I'm not trying to say that's etched in stone. My comment is just that, my comment. LOL!!!
  13. Heidi---No blame for the evil handlers. Image is their job. It's just part of show business. I only mentioned it as an added pressure for Clay. Of course, that's just my opinion. I have a hard time picturing them saying, sure, Clay come out, during any album cycle.
  14. REcap from the CH: QUOTE("yalcteef") Bare with me because I suck at recaps. Deezer, WinkyDink, and I went to Spamalot last night. The crowd was definitely a NJU crowd, specifically a lot of couples, including a gal in what looked like a wedding gown. The orchestra was full, the mezzanine was sparse (about 1/4 full), the balcony was a lot fuller (3/4 or more). These were probably the TKS tickets. That is a way people can afford to go to Broadway plays. We did not feel the spark that we did the last go around, but we think part of that was because the last show we had seen was closing night. Nothing could compare to that. Clay was his usual awesome self. The new king is ok, but the one scene which I hated him in was "All Alone". There was not the warmth like there was with Jonathan. The line "He (Patsy) is family" was just tossed out there. This number had always brought tears to my eyes, but this time around I felt cold. The new Lady of the Lake has a great voice, but she is no Hannah. The Herbert guard scene had some changes. Aside from the previous mentions how Clay is playing more stupidity, the other guard is no longer drunk. The energy was lower because the audience's energy was. At curtain call, Clay got the most applause. It surprised me that Rick did not get a nice ovation. I do not think the crowd knew all the parts he played (French tauter, knight of Ni, wizard) other than Lancelot. The crowd finally got into at the end; they were on their feet singing along loudly. There were about 25 Clay fans waiting at the stage door, including us. We did get Tom's and David' autographs. They were so nice. Clay did not come out as we expected because of what Jerome had said on the previous night about not coming out till Tuesday. The lady beside me thought it was sad that there was so little of us. However, when we walked down the street, there was even a smaller crowd for Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe). All in all it was an enjoyable and fun show.
  15. Claygasm, I have not seen anyone try and change your opinion - do you really believe that since you don't like Jaymes, we should all refrain from posting that we like her? Or love her. Or want to have her babies in some manner, after the orgy. No one has said your opinion was wrong, for you, - it is just a lot of us have a different opinion, and we will certainly express it! I do hope the media runs out of Z-listers, like Danny Bonaduce, to ask what they think of Clay coming out. Who gives a fuck what they think? Bizarre. Heeeee......at the rate people want to marry, have babies with, or just have one-night stands with Clay and /or Jaymes, maybe there is a show in there somewhere - Clay and Jaymes' BIG BIG Love! We could all take turns arranging milk bottles and such. (disclaimer - when I say "we all" I am using that phrase in a joking matter, I don't really include those who of course would be totally averse to the idea. I know I hatess it when someone else thinks they can speak for "all" the fans. There's no "we" in this fandom, that's for sho.) Oh, I think a lot of us would still do him. I don't think our chances have decreased, though. Just sayin'. I don't think Clay was going to be a Nascar poster boy anyways. But, and this goes for country music, too, never say never. ----------------------------------ITA I just think they should bury the body when they get through stoning Clay; it's starting to stink out there. Lots of look at mes.
  16. I'm starting to get sick reading the OFC. I'm not going back over there. I feel so badly for anyone that is hurting, I really do, but some of the entitlement and the self-righeousness sits heavy on my heart. CouchTomato- I did want to say one other thing about our dialogue. I live in Nashville and I know some people on Music Row. Gay and country music don't go very well together, so if anyone was worried that Clay might do a country album, I don't think that will be anytime soon. If you're gay in the Nashville country scene, you would want to keep that quiet. LOL!!!!
  17. I don't believe that. It's ok if you maintain your position CG. One less person to kill at the alter. Bookwhore will you marry me? Let's all have sympathy unconventional lifestyles together why don't we. Awww thanks justforfun. Come back and see us again! Couch, it's done all the time, particularly with people right out of the chute like he was at Idol. Image is very important, particularly when they have a fanbase like Clays. I think that caution plus wanting to save his family from the pain were all part of it. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't think Clay knew what to do. He got some bad advice. It all just got out of control and I don't think he knew what to do. He had to have been scared.
  18. They have the video of this interview on their website including David taking a phone call from Jaymes. From the CH....... QUOTE Whistler News.com David Foster praises Clay Aiken's unconventional family QUOTE TORONTO-Uber-producer David Foster says his sister Jaymes and former "American Idol" runner-up Clay Aiken have found a beautiful way to have a child. Foster made the comment while visiting Toronto on Wednesday, the same day Aiken revealed to the world that he's gay. They have the video of this interview on their website including David taking a phone call from Jaymes. http://www.whistlerquestion.com/article/20...=73331135315255
  19. From CV Ok just got off the phone with my friend who went tonight, she said there was no SD, and that Jerome did come out to look around a but, but no Clay ...She also said that there weren't that many Clay fans there tonight, which she thinks is normal anyway. But when she screamed for Clay at the end he looked up to her and smiled a BIG smile...then she gave him the "I love you sign" and he smiled and nodded again at her...she also wore this shirt that she made and she told me that EVERY staff member LOVED it...she told me that someone else from CB will post more about it later, they are at a restaurant right now lol ...so I couldn't hear her that well...but all in all she said that people "NJU" were really nice and supported through out the whole show...but again someone will post more about it later tonight about her story (I don't know who) and more of my friends story as well....and my friend also might post her story as well...tomorrow I think ~Heather~
  20. I'm of the opinion that Clay was strongly advised by his handlers to not come out, that it would be career suicide because of his mostly women fanbase.
  21. Did you guys read this- I didn't see it. From desertflower Bringing this over from Desertflower over at the CH. It might actually belong in the vent thread but I don't want to ruffle any feathers over there. I like what is says. I'm going to paraphrase a couple of Clayandr's post that are being lost in the shuffle of he lied/mislead banter. She says that Clay would continue to say that the 2006 tabloid stories are preposperous and despite media reports, Clay did not recieve a dime for the story in People.
  22. Clay and Jaymes will be on E news and GMA both tomorrow. Sat. is Paula's party. He'll be blonde , won't he?
