  3. That was an amazing show by Prince. I only watch the Superbowl for the commercials. Now that I have EyeTV on my computer I can watch TV on my computer screen while I'm doing other stuff. Can also pause and backup like you can on Tivo too. Pretty cool. --------------------- A reminder to check out the new songs that will be featured today on Rose Radio at 11:00 a.m. (Pacific Time). 6. Yay! There is hope for me yet. My desk and and the whole area around is... not neat. Definitely not neat. ------------------------- Clay definitely had me at "Take". Sure, I also thought he was one of the bad ones when he walked in the room, but the second he started singing, I knew I had misjudged. I was totally fascinated and after he sang "Open Arms", I was on the internet searching for any information. I found a site where some guy was posting realplayer clips of the performances and I watched them over and over. I couldn't seem to get enough of him. And, apparently, I am still just as fascinated by him even four years later. Who knew? ------------------------- Tomorrow at noon (Pacific time) on Rose Radio I will be playing the songs I am adding to the playlist. This week I'm adding Clay's "Everytime You Go Away". Some of the other tracks are by John Stevens, Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler and Taylor Hicks. Also tracks by Marty Casey (runner-up to Rockstar:INXS), Roisin Murphy and O-Zone. Definitely an eclectic mix!
  7. I saw him on Idol Chat with Kimberly and Rosana. I think he is going to be a regular on that program through this season of AI. I actually think he is better at this than Kimberly. He has a good onscreen presence. I purchased his jazz album so I can put some of his tracks on Rose Radio. Yes! Couchie brought me over to your house once. I brought sushi, which I don't think anyone ate. I had a blast meeting all of you! :04:
  8. I was surprised at how much I like Carmen and Jon Peter Lewis. I also have tracks by Charles Grigsby on there. There is a track each available for Nikki McKibbin and Ryan Starr and I plan to add those next week.
  9. Hi! Thanks for telling everyone about my radio station. I still have plenty of room for more listeners, so check it out. Also, let me know if you have any requests or suggestions to keep it fresh. Rose Radio
  10. Yes. She wrote it for American Idol.
  11. Hi everybody! I haven't been here in a while. How are you all doing? I admit it, my mom really needed a new copy of MOAM since she lost hers last year in a car accident. So, I figured this week would be a really good time to replace it! Heh. I'll go back later and get her new copies of Josh Groban and Michael Buble. She likes them too and they also got lost in the car accident.
  12. Yeah. The microphone is great. Only fuzzing out a bit on the loudest sounds.
  13. So you have both streams or just CV? too bad they didn;t ahve WJ covered for the alst night...it seemed the usually have through the tour... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just CV
  14. ::waves to Couchie:: I wish. I have to go spend the weekend with my mom. She was in the hospital last week and hasn't been feeling very secure at home. I will stopping by Japantown in the morning on my way up there to pick up some sushi though. Yum! And my brother might go up there in the morning too bringing some yummy boiled crab from Fisherman's wharf. Man, I love living here in San Francisco.
  15. Some people have been writing the author of that article and he seems to actually like Clay. Here are some of his replies: claysession at CH: Butterflyshine at CV:
  16. Okay, I've been doing some serious thinking about how Clay should dress for his performances. I know it must be a real conundrum for him. After all, when he wears quirky people want him to wear more serious clothes. When he wears more classic and serious stuff, people say he looks old and dresses like grandpa. If his concerts are classy, then he is being too restrained and boring. If his concerts are fun and entertaining, then he is not being serious enough about his music. So, after much consideration about what everybody says they want Clay to do, it seems the best consensus is that he should do only rock concerts because everyone seems to love Rock!Star!Clay! And, after all, rock stars are serious musicians who never wear costumes or do anything silly on stage. With that in mind I elect that Clay should wear this or this. Or maybe this would be more to your taste.
  17. I find it disheartening when there is a discussion of some perceived troublesome aspect of the foundation and only the negative perceptions are viewed as valid. I have seen discussions where people with experience in working in or with small foundations are ignored and their comments trivialized. Especially if they assert that the foundation really is doing fine, that the problems they are having are not unusual and that they will most likely work out the kinks in time. That they really have done a remarkable job so far. It is a shame that the story that is being picked up now is the MSNBC gossip piece and not the WRAL article. I just hope that Clay had a plan in place for this eventuality. I agree diamondjake2001 that some had their own vision for TBAF and are disappointed that it is not addressing the issues that they want to see addressed. I think it would be wise to read the mission statement and realize that the foundation is there for a specific purpose that is more general in nature than some would like it to be:
  18. Hi! Is this going to be a linear thread format? Loved the blog and vacation pics. Nice place!
  19. Hi! Well, I'm called roseviolet for no particular reason. I was trying to think up a screen name, but didn't want it to be Claycentric. Used to grow African violets. Hmmm. Violet. Shoot. Someone is already using violet. Dang. How about if I stuck the word 'rose' in front of it? Hey, it worked. Voila. roseviolet. I'm so lame. I was pretty much hooked by Clay from the audition on. Didn't take me long to start searching for him on the web and immediately found him being discussed on a number of boards. I lurked at a number of boards and eventually found myself hanging around the Clay thread at TWoP for the most part. Moved along with them to the Clackhouse and now I pretty much split my time between there and Clayversity. I'm finding the whole experience of being a fan rather interesting. It is not something I am inclined to do normally. At first I was just intrigued by him and loved his voice. Later on in the season I found myself becoming much more emotionally invested in him. When he lost the competition, I surprised myself by being devasted by the loss and was depressed for days. Now I'm just thrilled that he is doing so well and that he seems to be happy. I hope to hear him sing for a long time.
