  1. I have a feeling when I hit submit, this is going to go up with that dreaded "Posts 1" thing over there in that post counter spot. This box I'm typing in doesn't look in the least familiar, so I'm almost positive that's going to happen. I finally decided to click on one of those email links I've been getting and I fell right into a gaggle of eHP folks in the tour thread.....somehow that didn't surprise me, either.

So.....I'm here. I read just back a few pages (mea culpa etc. but I have to go iron my pants for a date tonight with my husband.....time's pressing right now.) BUT thank God! I found a room full of people who are making some sense. I can't do that quoting thing and have nice creases, too. But....seriously.....it's a frickin' TV show. OR at least it was last time I turned it on.

Oh, and I made a stop gap avatar from the only 90 x90 pixel picture I had in photobucket. I think I want one of those fancy moving ones this time but this will have to do till I learn how to make one.

    :sickyet:

Welcome! To someone who takes some of the best pics out there!!!!!!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  2. Oh dear Lord, that man continues to slay me. I was bringing the Afghanistan story over, too. (Bet he still has his beard, don't you?)...and I see that YSRN gave a link. Well, here it is again...let's give it lots of hits. Damn. He's so...

That last thing---the metaphor about the dry land and new green grass---the man's a romantic. He's a poet. Things like that and even some of the words in LAA make me KNOW he has such artistic beauty within him. I hope he continues to let it out.

Crap. How silly to read a freakin' press release and get all blurry-visioned and all.

Makes all the shit going on on the boards and over Dallas/Tulsa/Frisco/wherever seem pretty petty, although I do sympathize with those who've incurred real financial hit from the fiasco. It's just that Clay's world is so much more than us. So much more than fans and concert dates and venue choices and juvenile exchanges on his fan site.

    He's just so much more.

    Clay in Afghanistan

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!! I cheated and just quoted...my eyes seem to be leaking at the moment!

  3. I'm going to be out of town for a few days, with no internet access. I'm going to be trying my luck at the slots at a casino in Iowa. So you guys do some eeeeeeeeeeing for me. Surely there will be something to eeeee about. Maybe it will be a midwest concert.

Luckiest and Roseviolet, you expressed my sentiments pretty darned well.

    OK, wish me luck!!!

Oh! WHich one?????? the newest one up here by me???? someone just won a million and a half at the slots there! second one who has......lucky!!!!!!!

  4. great recaps....wow....I am very impressed with claysession's intention of donating the manuscript back...and relieved that they rescheduled the dinner..was kind of worried about a extra full restaurant!

and wow....wish I could turn back time and be wise enought to have gone to the gala...

well nice thought. Loving all the pics and the audio. The Prayer brought me to tears.

and, is it April 2nd yet?????? yikes...

  5. well. I may have to post and run...i.e. Inclusion.....It CAN be done and successfully....why NOT? do we have special wal marts? grocery stores? no....If we have or want an inclusive world, we better start in the schools. If you want your child to learn about the right behavior...which classroom do you think the modeling should come from?

I could go on, but I wont , only to say that we had to fight for inclusion every step of the way....we were ganged up on by regular teachers in middle school...one finally stood up and said enough...ALL kids have worth. It was horrible. I have had teachers apologize to me....that they were sorry they fought the inclusion...It made a big difference to Jamie....and to ALL the kids he was included with. Can you imagine if we always segregated those with disabilities...how would these kids when they became adults know how to treat these people?

I always found , the kids were great, the adults not so much...

and now I am duct taping my mouth shut before it gets me into trouble....

  6. I agree that giving to a charity should be personal....I have mostly just seen info about the six degrees thing, but then maybe my scroll button went right through it...

I do WFI and give to the BAF for once reason...I have a son with a disability who is 19 . We fought every single year for inclusion and should not have had to. If contributing gets a curriculum for K-12 so that ALL kids should b e included, wonderful....again, it is personal to me..

as is the American Cancer Society...I pretty much fundraise all year long for that...Have a team for Relay and tell my story and try to sell my cookbook and ask for donations..post my Team's website....again, because it is personal....I am a survivor and I have lost too many ....

I donate when I can, which isnt always as much as I want, but then I try to donate my time, or by raising awareness.

That said, NO ONE should ever ever feel pressured to donate to anything. ANd for those who do this stuff to get noticed.....

well I better not say what I think of that!

  7. OK...sorry but when all of you white girls were singing I love you yeah yeah yeah I was screaming for The Jacksno Five. Heeee. Actually I was probably hiding in the closet with my radio and not listening to any of this devil music. heee.

Hee, I sang "she loves you yeah yeah yeah".........my mom has good old Super8 video of it! I was one year old and wore a Beatle wig. ;) By the time I was of screaming age, I was screaming for the Bay City Rollers! *waves to ldyjocelyn* I rediscovered the Beatles in my teens, along with a lot of other 50s and 60s music. I'd love Clay to sing Rocky Racoon (and just think, he wouldn't have to fake the accent like Paul did, LOL) or he could sing some George Harrison like Here Comes the Sun or Something and then I'd have to die on the spot. It's ok, because when I hear the guitar solo on RHW, I imagine George is playing it, anyways.

Come on, more dates! Although I think I'm already pretty much set with the ones that were announced yesterday. But I want EVERYONE to be able to find a concert that works for them! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

Oh the thought of Clay singing Something!!!!!!!!!! holy crap! just yeah baby!!

  8. I want all the dates 'soon'....sitting here in lonely ole Iowa......I would love love love to go to CA for the three-fer....wherever it will be me and my daughter so expenses X2. (Where IS that winning lottery ticket???) IF anything, I think Dallas would be the one if he comes no where closer....Anyone up for a road trip!!! seriously.....

off to look for that pot of gold!!!!!!!

  9. Color me dense (surprise) but I didn't even really know that his FU blog was in reaction to UNICEF posts...just thought it was just a "I've had it!" in general...

    cool.

Oh, and see my new old avie? A discussion of this moment in time from the Tampa IT made me nostalgic for this early glimpse of the 'real' Clay....

Man has some lubrication in those hip joints....

    from practice, perhaps? :hubbahubba:

Noticed the avi change right away...I mean how could you NOT?

  10. Kayla has yet another site....this is a TCG site...(trading card game....i guess....) its pretty cool...a lot of work yet again....

    Came For The Voice

Dont forget to drop by her other ones....the message board is pretty......i hope more come and post! and her other fan website has been updated....she has added some new wallpapers and other things and changed the layout....

    very very nice!!

  11. Hey!

I would welcome the newbies...but then you would go..WTH? I may have been a member long time, but dang if I cant get my butt to post more.....I should...I will! (Betcha were just holding your breath for that one! lol)

I never really thought that the scandal 'contest' was real anyhow......just Clay blowing off some steam...rather well at that...

playbiller...when you put the bobbin in, does the bobbin holder have like a little latch on it..hard to explain..a piece that you can pull .....you have to hold that out and put the bobbin in to lock it.....other thing to check is bobbin tension...if that gets out of whack it can do that too
