  2. Ha! Got you all beat! My husband and I walked with 20,000 of our closest friends in the Race for the Cure here in central Illinois. This area hosted one of the first RFTC's back in 1986, and it's still going strong today. It helped that we had a gorgeous day to walk -- 60 degrees or so in the morning, so it was a bit chilly, but a beautiful sunshiny day.

    Thanks for doing that! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

ugh got tulsa tickets..WHILE holding a garage sale....not fun...seats are not good...why do I never have good luck and some always do???

oh well still cant wait to go!!!!!!!

Where are you sitting? Mine weren't the best either, but not too bad. Section B Row N Seat 7

Well my day was tough too. I sat on my arse on this computer for the most part. First getting ticket stress this morning. Then answering PM's and emails. Going to this board and that. Yuck. I should never leave here. Spent time on the phone talking with my friend. Then my sis called to wish me a late happy birthday. Let's see what else. Oh I cleaned myself up, brushed my teeth and washed my hair. Shaved my legs. I now have a load of clothes in the dryer and am getting ready to go make a milkshake........ Whew. I'm tired.

could be worse, could be better.....

  4. Hee. As a 28 year old, Clay should be having a 10 year high school reunion coming up. I think not only should Clay 'chopper in (per his Kimmel comments in 2004), he should make a grand entrance with Tyra as his date. I think that would be an appropriate to any of the troglodytes that were ever mean to him in high school and who are now fat, balding, and selling used cars.

My goodness that just gives me the warm and fuzzies thinking about that scenario! I think that's a lot better than inventing Post-Its*g*

me too...perfect f.u. dont you think?????

  5. The teefies all look the same to me. The third picture is smaller overall, and the resolution isn't particularly good in any of them. I like the hair in the first one best.

oh me likey the hair in the first one too! rawrrrrrrrrrr

I have airline tickets in hand...good god they were expensive but we are definitely coming to houston and then on to tulsa! hotel reservations made...

just need tulsa tickets and houston ones are good so i will take whatever when the time comes!!!

how many days until mr hottie is singing to me???????????? :Tour3:

  6. Hey everybody -- let's hit the wayback machine!

    This one is really cool....

    coolprofileold.jpg

Ah yes, the days of young Clay. He looks funny with the spikes now, doesn't he?

There are some really good pics there...I like the one he is sitting by the clothes hanging...a LOT..and the two where he has his head in Kim's lap and she is playing with his hair....(MAJOR SIGH) are good!

  7. Oh..and speaking of satisfied....I just spent the last hour or so watching a few montages on YouTube by rocknrlmom...hadn't seen those before.

    Dayum.

    She's good.

    And Double Dayum.

    Clay Aiken is HAWT.

    Dayum. :hubbahubba:

    :F_05BL17blowkiss:

    why thank you...

and I am SO overdue on making a new one.....sometimes I step back when there are so many being made...BUT help..someone has requested one in 'honor' of the beard and stubble! OH SO CAN DO! BUT I need song suggestions...anyone?????????

AND looks like since no midwest dates and I tanked on trying for some others we are now gonna try the Houston/Tulsa ones...

SO if you know where to find some Houston tix or have some let me know..need two for sure..and probably 3 if I can talk my friend from Oregon into these and I think I can! maybe add Dallas....cheaper to fly there than Houston.....

A select number of 2007 summer tour tickets will be auctioned off to benefit the Bubel/Aiken Foundation. This year’s foundation ticket auction is being organized through Ticketmaster. Venues on this tour that do not use the Ticketmaster system will not be able to participate. Ticketmaster shows should have two pairs of front row tickets and a meet’n’greet to bid on for approximately a 10-day auction.

You may currently bid on a pair of front row tickets for the shows on 7/19 in Canadaigua, NY and for the 8/18 show in West Palm Beach, FL by clicking here.

You can also check this link for additional auctions as they are confirmed. Ticketmaster-venue shows that have not yet had a presale or onsale should generally have the Bubel/Aiken auction start at the same time of the presale, but check the auction page for individual confirmations.

I am NOT rich WHY????????????????? I would so bid on one......duh huh?

  9. rcknrllmom I so echo your sentiments about being in the same room with him when he sings. I also got the pleasure of winning a stub hub in NY on 12/4/05 and got to spend about 20 minutes with him. What a wonderful experience. Sure hope I can win a free meet and greet this time around.

What concerts are you heading to?

So far NONE...I have been waiting to see a final schedule to see if there are any around here I can get to...IF not...then I have to figure out how to get two tickets to one somewhere and a way there, etc!!!!!!!! I am pretty zen about it though.....something will work out somehow! someday...somewhere!

  10. Gosh, I just went back an read over some of this thread and I sure do see "like lots" of familar names here. Hi rcknrllmom There are more that I recognize too so hi to all of you too!!!!!

:F_05BL17blowkiss: Good to see you here!!

muski YES! Clay does replenish my soul every day with all he does, with his voice, but never ever like being in the same room with him and hearing him live....there is nothing that compares!!

  11. Another day, another tour stop to be announced? Do you think the 20 that are there are it? Do you think if they are it Team Clay will tell us that's it? Do you think he's teaching at Idol Camp during that gap in the schedule between Tulsa and Philly?

I NEED the full schedule. I have decisions to make!!

And yes, he's hot. That's part of the problem. That's why I am spending more money than I have a right to to follow him. Live!Clay! is my addiction, but somewhere along the line I might have to get real.

On a more serious note, I mentioned an old friend of mine from college - a fellow drama major - is an associate professor in Va. Tech's theater department. I lost touch with him awhile back, but I couldn't stop thinking about him since the shootings so I went to the school's website, looked up his email and touched base with him. This is part of what he wrote back:

This is really an horrendous thing. Words indeed fail ...

    But I am fine!

My office is some 50 yards from the crime scene. From my window I

could see stretchers laid on the lawn. It was somehow unreal,

disjointed, unclear, (a word used a lot is surreal) ... in spite of

the screaming sirens and tactical police in body armor with BIG guns.

It hit me after I got home early Monday afternoon when the news

reports were more than vague speculation.

    I have wept buckets.

These things remind us of our utter frailty and our limit. There is

    chaos all around now.

    Things have changed.

For some reason, reading those words from someone I knew back when our lives were carefree and fun, from someone I knew when we were in college where events like this were never in our thoughts, were very chilling to me.

"These things remind us of our utter frailty and our limit." I think we all forget at times how fragile life is, how it can all shatter in a moment. I know for me I fritter away time like I'll always have tomorrow. I never want to live like I'm dying tomorrow, but I do want to make a greater effort to get as much out of the life I have as I can because life is fragile. I so often look at my life and say what a waste. Not sure how I'll change that, but I want to.

Wow that just has me in tears. I KNOW that life is fragile....lost my father at age 4. Ran across a book once that was called The Loss That Is Forever...about how losing a parent affects your whole life. Since I learned about mortality so young and how someone you love can be taken at any time my whole world was changed. When I faced my own mortality almost 5 years ago , with 4 young children, I have decided to live my life. To have fun...to find the JOY!! I have to sometimes remind myself to not sweat the small stuff because none of it really matters in the end!!

And I SURE HOPE that isnt the last of the dates to be announced...I MUST go see this tour...Clay live just replenishes my soul...and I need a bit of that right now!!!!!!!!!

  12. Well, someone has learned how to appeal for funds.

Hey, Clay, some of us have no income! Sheesh - he is making me look for a job, isn't he.

It is all for the Chirrun'

You and me both! I did get to spend some of my tax refund and am feeling guilty...got a laptop on sale..a great sale and been wanting one for a long long time, okay years.....cant wait to pop in a Clay DVD and see it....woohoo....

I am almost giving up hope to getting to see him this summer. I should play the lottery today....friday the 13th has always been my lucky day! hmmmm.....well the money I spent on the laptop COULD have got tickets somewhere for my daughter and me....BUT airfare, nope, maybe for one....sigh...

He either has to come closer to me or we are going to have to hitchhike somewhere!!!!!!!!
