  1. Good point. I hadn't really thought about that. I arrived home just in time to miss the interview...yep, thank heaven for Clack.
  2. I didn't know out of country didn't count. wow...and I don't know about the 'we' question. I guess I assume we are all 'we's to someone, therefore we all count.
  3. Ah...ok...thank you Ansa! and ldyj! at The Dude's rug comparison...That works! From clayniac2 at the CB: again!
  4. (my bolded) Not me. I don't think it's boring at all. It passed my head bopping test on the first listen. I'm totally content with OMWH being the lead single. Of course, I pretty much love the whole CD, so I don't hear boring anywhere. Can anyone explain the difference between the HDD numbers and Soundscan??
  5. It was a great interview, a great British accent, and a great song. All around... :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  6. I'm pretty certain if releasing ATDW, a album of covers for his sophomore CD, didn't stop Clay, then landing anywhere in the top 5 on the Billboards for his next recording won't hurt him either. Besides, I think this little guy (no, not Clay. I know better. I'm talking about the CD) will have legs. I gifted my co-worker OMWH last Tuesday. Today she came up to me and said, "OMG. #11. It took my breath away!" It took me a minute to understand what she was talking about. Unlike most of us who played the CD right away, (or prior in some cases ) my co-worker just started listening to it...and she loves it! Clay will have his face here and there for the next couple weeks doing promo. He'll be on Leno tonight and Kimmel next week. I believe people will start talking about this CD, you know...just like my co-worker. I think the buzz will build. Though I would have loved to see #1 sales and huge numbers, at this moment, I am content.
  7. My favorite song on the CD. I just love everything about it. The orchestra sounding like it's tuning up at the beginning, like everyones just trying to find their way, including the person singing. Gives me a feeling like he's talking to himself rather than singing lyrics for the world to hear. A song of total confusion, trying to figure out the why of 'us.' Begging for love and acceptance. Right now LOVE ME! So universal, so painful, so hopeful, so beautiful.
  8. I get that. I just like this song. I know Clay says this CD is lyric driven, but I actually find myself not listening to the lyrics on this song and just humming and bopping along.
  9. I couldn't be here last night, but I'm here now. When does it start, and what do we start with? Just read back Weight of the World it is!
  10. Ok, I protest! NSFW is not in the glossary up there ^ (and I am clueless, sorry) but your post did remind me of the lyrics to Brave Sir Robin... His head smashed in And his heart cut out And his liver removed And his bowls unplugged And his nostrils raped And his bottom burnt off And his pen--
  11. :lmaosmiley-1: O.M.G. funny, funny stuff...I think I'll take my opposable thumb and wipe my eye now.
  12. See, I bet that one line of marketing RCA didn't consider
  13. Whoever said 'timing is everything,' really knew what they were talking about...Hey, bottlecap....remember a couple of weeks ago sitting in a Dean and DeLuca's, about 100 feet away from Kathy Lee Gifford interview some guy we didn't know? That's where Clay will be today. Right there, with Kathy Lee, and I wonder if someone will be sitting in that same coffee shop wondering what's going on out there and who's being interviewed just like we were. Nah...everyone will know who's there by the crowds and the buzz. It will be a madhouse. Still I wonder who'll be in my seat today, looking out the window.
  14. the lovely gerwhisp made some caps from tonight... ...and I forgot to mention that you can now watch the clip here...Clay on Nightline ABC News
  15. Nice Nightline piece. Lots of little cool stuff, like the Sir Elton story about someone calling Elton to 'let the boy sing.' I'm still saying that. :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  16. Ashes is nice, but I adore Falling *tucks little synthy-thing under pillow for some late night lovin'* :F_05BL17blowkiss: Ok bottle, which one of us requests from 101.5 first? CG, just saw this... I've decided people are just nuts. Either that, or on some sort of weird power trip. They so need Clay/his music to fit into what they think it should be, they can't or won't listen to anyone, even Clay. I don't know who made these statements, or what was said exactly because I haven't had time to read everywhere yet, so it's hard for me to judge, but last night I read some of the posts following Clay's in the thread that Jaymes started and I was amazed at some of their remarks. Disagreeing with what Clay had just posted. Sort of amazed me. Sort of like they were going to have this pissing contest with Clay over radio play and who knew best how it worked.
  17. This IS a momentous day because I totally agree with you! :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  18. That man will always have my total respect. I hope he decides to rant more often.
  19. Holy shit! The man is amazing....No, it's not the same...unless he edited his post in the thread and I didn't see this before... he added stuff about radio play.
  20. from PodSoda at the CH...GMA reports!! (man, I hates heading to work on mornings like this )
