  2. New clack alert - I found these while tooling around WRAL Clay Aiken Attends Charity Gala in Raleigh This is from 4/26/07 And this Clay Aiken Thrills the DBAP from August 14/2--7
  3. Hey, I could have used them in that tropical storm digging out the rain channel the other day, there were times when I needed flippers, and why not high style ones?
  4. I remember being at the beach during a hurricane as a child and running around with pots catching water dripping into the house and people wading in the street - sometimes I wonder about my parents decisions, we were on vacation and they were determined not to leavethe rental house that was put together with spit and cardboard. Then again, the same things happened when we were home, we got home from vacation to a flooded basement a ruined family bible and one of those huge jukebox sized radios floating around. Or when a hurricane hit while we were in school (why were we in school? and they let us out to walk home when the eye was there - so while walkingthe 1/2 mile home, the eye passes and we are holding on to each other ducking trees. my mother drove out to get us, but she couldn't because there were tree limbs all over the road. Luckily we have not had a hurricane like that in the NE since I was small, hurricanes where hundreds died. I guess it just seems like nature is so unforgiving. So take care, leave early - a job is just a job, but a life is yours. Seems like you painted a picture with words very nicely, Cotton
  5. I think I will skip the service tonight, it is being held down the block for the 4 people we lost in this town. I knew two of them sort of,. One person worked in a store and the other person volunteered in the emergency squad and always stopped to pet my dog when we passed, he just really liked her personality, he rushed in to help when the first plane hit.
  6. The only funny bio in the playbill is John Cleese - and who would mess with the voice of God Why yes, I have read them all. There are a few with persoanl comments that read like an acceptance speech for a tony, but then they don't have much experience. Much love to my family, FSU ganga and the Ignunts. Husband to beautiful Jennifer and fatherto adorable Sophie. Proud new mom to Cassidy. Love to Erik Love and thanks to Nancy, teachers, friends, family and God. This one's for you Mom, dreams do come true. Why yes, I did read them all to get a feeling for latitude.
  7. Gee, sit down for a minute and you fall asleep - sort of woozie now According to worldwidealbums.net the estimated sales including international sales for A Thousand Different Waysis at least 644,500, up to 670,280 On My Way Here is at least 174,000, up to 180,960
  8. Maybe, heh, heh,Some one overheard Kristie satying she was moving out before the baby and they assumed she was the one having a baby instead of Clay. You know how some fans liketo be insiders and if they don't have all the information, they will rush and make something up to have a complete story. And this is why Clay fans have high blood pressure - it is all that salt we eat. Oh crap - I was letting dinner cool off (enough for 2 or 3 days} and the dog stole the large steak off the counter and ate it. I guess I didn't really need food anyway. I also think no cookies for bad dogs for a while.
  9. Take care, KF - I understand there are thousand of busses to evacuate people on the ready.
  10. Look, I don't consider my self funny at all, so I really don't care if someone does not get my sense of humor unless they actually try to assign some deep thought to any of my posts- that would be fans using their imaginations. A lot of time a post will touch on a subject of past incidents or posts and I will go off on a tangent, does not mean I am referring to a recent post on this board, it is just the memories come back to my head and I want to talk about them. Putting someone out there cuts many ways. Once reminded of the Christmas stories I remember some that were seriously maligned by some, like people who thought that MLK's sister was afraid of appearing on stage, rather than the fact that the theater was not wheel chair friendly and she could not appear - it was "think the worst before you know the truth". I was really moved by her story and and sad that her sister had to read the nasty comments. It was not my job to call on the people posting this stuff, since there is a fair amount of free speech on the boards, but the comment on the Christmas stories reminded me of that sad incident. A lot of time we all participate in putting down other fans (mob think) for not being as good and I am concously trying not to do it, treat all posters equal, but it is hard when you disagree. You will have to admit there were many who mocked the Christmas stories, I can go into the archives and find them. It is find not to like them as a rule, but to call out a particular story for mocking is hard because some people really threw their hearts into them and lay themselves open for dissection - sad faced emoticon.
  11. Oooooh, look more lurkers are posting, me like lurkers posting - quick lets insult some other well known fans!
  12. Numbers are out for this week from Barnes The international estimate should be out tomorrow.
  13. Contest rules up at the fan club - we have a deadline people! Get those pens scratching. Hey, Lotus beware of posting and running - I did that and left a big spelling blooper that had people ragging on me for hours before I got back to see it. had I stayed on, I could have corrected it quickly when the first PM arrived.
  14. Poor picked on Christmas stories is right, I enjoyed a lot of them, was touched by so many of them. The thought of the writers being on message boards and reading about thier stories being mocked made me feel so sad, It can't be fun putting your self out there, exposing your heart and having people not like what you write and post about it on a board you read or hear about.
  15. Snark is in the eyes of the beholder and some beholders have more of a history with people who use it not to be so much funny as mean, so it colors our interpretation of other things we read. It is like me not liking blonde jokes - I usually don't yell at friends when they tell them and others seem to enjoy them, but there are some people who tell them to get my goat and it just makes me more sensisitive than can seem reasonable to others. While I feel my emotional reaction is perfectly justified because I had to deal with someone who I knew told them just to bug me, they would sneak a glance at me after they told the joke and smirk. FYI, the last company I worked for have now topped offending me more than when I was laid off, now they have lost my personnel information and want me to be aware that I am now susceptable to identy theft. Thanks crappy company. - how did they lose it, pray tell? They copied them to tape and were sending them to the salt mines (where they store such stuff) and some tapes are missing from the truck - and my information has been identified as missing. My information has not changed in 4 years, I do not work for them anymore - what the heck were they backing up? This is why they are losing money, not because they employ a few Americans still. Personally, I think they are lying about how they lost my information. They used to lie about this stuff to clients all the time when I still worked there, they lose it when they send live information to India for test data.
  16. Hey, Scarlett, I have 3 big bags of Cheez doodles sitting on my dining room table. Out os sight, out of mind, heh.
  17. I'm a night owl on the east coast- should have been in bed long long ago.
  18. Ain't Misbehaving Website - with dates, etc. And a video of Ruben singing.
  19. Wow, the old one two punch of Clack. Blog/humanitarian video! Clay is coming into our line of sight again, can't you just feel it. BWAh - there was just an ad for Grease - now starring Ace from American Idol - do they know his last name? Starring? he is Kenincke, Ithink it is one ofthe smaller parts and no picture or anything, just a quick mention NOTICE: this message expires in 15 minutes - that is right, you just have 15 minutes to reply to it or else it will be expired! Hee. ETA - corrected spelling to give you less to reply to, time is ticking away people.
  20. Oh. yeah, but really, I have two projects on two different locations going on at the same time - and I can't afford a project supervisor! Hurumph,he probably has nannies and a house supervisor.
  21. Well, it doesn't really matter if it is public or not, several boards feel free to copy the blog word for word, and those that don't paraphrase pretty damn close. Remember when the fans vowed to never steal from Clay? Now a lot feel free to post taht they are not buy his album anymore, just using the illegal download that was passed around, so a blog is nothing. I have gone past worrying if it is a member only blog or not, it is a member only contest though, no getting around that. It would be nice if the fan club members got a few minutes head start on seeing the photos though. But I would accept a magazine spread over the fan club reveal any day. Good publicity is good publicity.
  22. SoooOOooo - speculation about photo spread? Obviously there is not one in the works now or he would know how Parker will be introduced, but the possibility exists since no decision has been made about introducing him. Awww Cindilu, you forgot that piece about "my dad pooping in his pants, too".
  23. Yes, that is what I meant, Members can see, but before, everyone could see it, I saw a lot of people at another board not able to see it and wondering why.
