  1. Althought I stopped doing it years ago I used to use "castings" to mesh the random grey hairs with the blonde hairs. What t does s make the grey look like high lights. I did it to warm up the color of my hair which is exremely ashy and wanders between blonde and light brown depending on the light so while my hair was not grey it would phptpgraph as grey and that was not good. the positive was that it was a rinse and if I made a mistake like wanting bright red hair once I could just stand in the shower and shampoo shampoo sampoo until it was gone.

plus it only took 30 minutes that I could spend most of on the computer to complete.

  2. From CB - Slg111

OMG, OMG, OMG!!! I cannot believe this happened. I am a fourth grade teacher at a private school in L.A. Today I got a new student from England who just came to the US last week. You WILL NOT believe who her father is.

JOHN DU PREZ, the COMPOSER of SPAMALOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not kidding. You could have knocked me down with a feather. I managed to control myself while speaking to him about Spamalot, but when they left the room, I let out the biggest WHOOOO! you've ever heard. He AUDITIONED Clay!!! Who he said is "quite good." I had no trouble talking about Spamalot obviously, because I think it's the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life, Clay or no Clay. I told him I had seen it seven times. He asked if I knew Clay was coming back, I said of course (at one point he said, "Ah, you're a Claymate!) and I was like, yes sir, I am! Anyway I said I couldn't wait to see him again because I was going to get tickets for over our Xmas break. He instantly said, "Well, just let me know when you're going, I'll get you some tickets, and see if I can get you backstage." I probably turned beet red and managed to say, well, thank you so much!

What do you guys think about that?!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION.... this is like ONE DEGREE OF SEPARATION or something!

    Wow.

The "Quite good" was said in that wonderful English accent, and was very heartfelt. Hard to describe in words, but trust me, it was ULTRA POSITIVE! More like "Quite good!!! (I'm always on alert for meanings behind words...) Just the way the British talk I think. If an American said the same thing, it would be, Really good! Something like that. Plus he auditioned him. If he didn't think Clay was "quite good!" he wouldn't have gotten the part.
  3. Heh, A few weeks ago I was talking to a guy I used to work with and he was saying he wishes he was older so he could retire, not that he wanted to be older or miss the years, he just wasn't sure how long he could support himself (and his wife, who also works) and they don't even have any kids, I said well it won't be too much longer for you, he looked at me and then said he was 45. heh, he really looks a lot older. Anyway after we both got laid off, he accepted he job back at the company at a 20% cut and reduced holidays and vacations...Hah! I refused and collected my full pay and health coverage and seniority for the pension and retirement for 6 months and sat home.

Clay crap stuff feel free to scroll, I was blogging around and I found a site that was giving away all the idol music for free. every single albums by anyone who was ever on Ai, music from before they we on the show - so I figure I would write and contact some people and get this taken down - well, no siree - they all fight it - for rapdshare.com, I would have to give them my name address and phone number to report this, not to mention they wanted every link of the 100 or so links. I just gave them Clay's and none of my personal information. I wrote the label, they don't seem to have a place to report this, they should have a separate link for it but noooOOOoooo. Then I try to write to google, the blog host, but this is even more complicated, I am supposed to get a lawyer? They are hosting illegal downloads and I am supposed to get a lawyer? No wonder the business is in the toilet with everyone giving free downloads. Hey... isn't that what fans are for?

heh, I give my sister a hard time for holding resentments, but i really can hold on to a few myself, heh. remember when people all promised to never steal from Clay guess that isn't true anymore.

time to stop reading blogs (and angsting) and go back to writing one - so far I only have one published. It's hard, whine especially when you can't prove what you are about to say about banking law and you sister keeps warning you about being sued.

  4. I didn't live through the Depression but I have been an Oracle/Sybase/SQLServer DBA so I'm a pack rat too!

Hmm, I was a DB2 DBA, then switched contracts and spent the next 12 ears managing ORACLE/SyBase/SQLServer people How is that for the same people conclomerate together. I am a pack rat but have promised to clean up my act before I die as a favor tomy surviving family. I do have a will with a list of people to inherit clack. I hae some interesing stuff, mainly a lot of official merchandise ornaments.

Ooh! We used to walk down to the RailRoad tracks and pick the blackberries for Nannie to make Blackberry Pie!!! Yum!

Heh, fear and I used to walk down to the railroad tracks as small children (7 and 4) to collect rasberries. I think the tracks were about a mile away - I think someone would call child services today. What the heck we used to get on busses together to go to town and shop and al sorts of stuff no kid today would be allowed to do - like playing in the nearby garage dump, jumping the ravines and looking for rats and snakes - I think it was a chemical dump too, so far I still only have 2 eyes..

  5. YOu can now buy Ruben's last Album, the return, on Itunes and that ilk - why? because he was caught in the Louis Vitton law suit where BMG used various of their logos without permission - it was used in a Britney video, no onger to be show, and other places and the paper on the ack of Ruben's CD had a Louis Vitton water mark. The hard print album has been withdrawn, but it is still avaialbe on line.Sorry,I don't have the articles anymore and I am packing the car and am busy, but the crux of it was a settlemetn - the CD was recalled from stores and no new CD copy will be manufactured.

  6. Doesthis mean I have to put my Tony Bennett didn't sell many records when records sold well post out here again? I have to search for it

My facvorite is the the Johnny Mathis Christmas album didn't even go gold it's first year, it too k years but it is now the best selling Christmas album. As long as no album goes out of print like Ruben's latest - do to a small copyright infringement. That album may not ever sell well, unless his internet sales pick up.

  7. I'm back. hah.

Am I neurotic or do we get a lot of lurkers int he middle of the night when we are supposed to be sleeping and I am amusing myself running diagnostics on the computer? I was just surprised to see how many lurkers there were.

Yay - things run so much better and look so much better - who knew there was a new driver!

Nice pictures no longer freeze my computer. Whee - I can enjoy all the pretties again Thanks everyone.

  8. wish me luck, as my computer kept crashing last night my computer wsas automatically diagnosed with a need for a new driver - i confirmed that it was the right driver myself, then went to the offical site myself and did download an update. Installing it now - may not see you for a while - may end up tossing this computer - the clack is on two separate and backed up hard drives - not to worry.

  9. Those of you who beliong to the OFC and need a good laugh should go to the Spamalot vs touring thread - to read amatuer actors critique of Clay's acting - you see they felt he was playing for laughs instead of staying in character - in a Monty Python Play :lmaosmiley-1: BWAH - going back in history to the original Monty Python, tell me, what character did the minister of silly walks keep or did he play it a bit wide for laugh or or did the actors properly gioce the dead parrot the seriouslness that subject deserved? or maybe someone just doesn't have a sense of humor? On the first show that Clay did, I did have a critique and that was that he was taking it all too serious, but by the 4th? show, I thought he nailed it. Monty Pythion is not a show for people who are very shakespearean, but for the improve type of actor - you need to react in that show so much and to suspend disbelief - it really isn't about real life, in case some one actually thought it was supposed to be realistic.

I think we need a new emoticon for acting advice for clay to go with this one :wordpooper: I just had a serious time keeping in my chair and not falling to the floor laughing at that part of the thread.

Oh well, I have to get going.

    Congrats on your party Wandacleo

Very odd, so many lurkers and only one other member here - not even anponymous people.

Come on - sign in, you know you have something to say!,

Oh good an anonymous user, oh wait, that is me.

Back on acting - it is funny there is usually one scene in some shouws that are so uncharateristic to me and catch me by surprise - with Clay, the best scene I saw him in was sorting trays in the realistic non-funny part of Scrubs - it struck me as odd becuase he looked perfectly serious doing it, as if it was really his job. It is an odd scene to be hung up on, but what can I say we all see things differently. I can take it if you laugh at this.

  10. If you look at the top of the page there is a gallery (look immediately under the banner) you can store pictures in as well. Sometimes my computer stops dead on the pages here when there are a lot of high quality pictures - this does not give anyone permission to stop posting them though! 5 going on 6 year old computers are kind of out of the running as the boss of us.

  11. Before Clay got on the roof that day, there was aphotographer, but I remember someone else being on the roof earlier in the run, not Clay, but someone else - anyone remember? I can't remember anyone else leaving but Sir Glalahd, yet, I think it predated that. Maybe the adjoining theater?

It was a good day, that last day, it followed to closely after the BCA/EB and the album was ready to come out (the album I happen to lorve - don't pick on that sweetie or I wil smack you) and Clay had his own little surprise.

  12. FYI - I think the Olympics did help sell some albums for Clay overseas. While sales in the US went up only 800 this week, sales estimated world wide seem to have gone between 2 or 3 thousand. I don't exactly remember what they were before, but it is definitely over 2000. So that is good news, they have him estimated at max sales of 178800, I think is was 176??? as the max sales before.

playbiller, i love following numbers. Where can we check out these world sales stats?

Keeping in mind no one knows if these figures are accurate, they are frequently quoted on other fan boards -worldwidealbums.net You look for total by artist. Clay is under C because for some reason they are by first name????

  13. Hi BettyJean - So can we stay with you when we visit Hawaii? Just Kidding cough cough

Hey, LaluvsClay, I know you from the Clay board, you know me, just under a different name, heh. Registration problem kept me from keeping the same name.

  14. Well, if you are stranded at the airport, come to the beach with me, I am leaving tomorrow night. Surely another week off is nothing to world travlers, a nice labor day weekend at the beach should be fun. The water is warm, the life guards are here for the last week and the restaurants will all be open. And everyone speaks English - should make it easier to get around. As long as I don't have to start back before Tuesday - that is when the rebuilder is coming to get paid for what he did so far and discuss the new counters. After that, I can bring you back - no bathing suit? They are all on sale!

  15. Well, let us not forget he had a beautiful smile on his face a lot of the show, except when he was trying to concentrate and then he has a beatiful serious look.

I hasd seen the show several times and some ofthe kids are over the top synchophants and I have seen people treat them as little adults or small kids, but I don't thinkI ever saw any one be as kind and encouraging to the kids and still treat them as kids in an age appropriate way. The jaw wiggling was fascinating because you could see the wheels turning in his head while there was audience noise and Jeff talking to him in the background, he still had to answer Jeff so he could not shut him out, but he was really weighing his options carefully.

I don't know if you know it, but Kim Locke was on that lyrics song show for her favorite charity (camp heartland for children with various diseases and she had won 500K and decided to go for the million and lost and went home with 100K. She is now trying to recoup the money that she lost for the group by holding a series of fund raisers, including a gala where Ruben and the LeBlanc borthers and a special guest will appear near NYC. I was a bit surprisedthat she ws selling tickets for 1000 and 250 to the gala, although it is close, those prices are certainly not tempting to me. I strongly doubt the special guest is Clay since he will be on stage that weekend. I just don't want to give the wrong impression to people.

  16. As I recall the story, Clay was supposed to be filmed after Kellie and then she did not come out for some reason and Clay had to go out early. I think he just did something fast to get out there, Idoubt if he was "greasy", probably a quick fix to get him out. I don't want to say why Kellie did not come out because it would only be a guess, could have been any reason.

Personally, if I had to pick a worse hair session it would be AI rewind. I would have preferred 5th grader hair there, although who knows how they did that show, since it was so half ass.

By the way, I guess we should not complain about how the filming of AI2 went, with the season 3 and 4 together and a special show just for Carrie, they are going to be running stuff together really bad!
