  1. Cotton, just follow the bread crumbs to the theatre and you'll find your way. Claygasm said: For all I know someone here (FCA) could have had "an unusual" birth. Doesn't mean I would not respect them. Respect comes as a result of working hard in your field, being talented in your field and willingness to experiment. If cool was all that counted I could think of quite a few entertainers that would be unemployed now. Unfortunately the internet has colored our impressions of what "talent" is. If it's all about conforming or being scandalous, thank goodness Clay is not cool. We don't know the circumstances of Parker's birth, so to call it unusual is just your opinion. Clay has and I presume will continue to hold all personal information "close to the vest". Therefore I don't anticipate his discussing this with fans or the media. JMO For myself, I am "over the moon" happy that Clay and Jaymes have Parker in their lives.
  2. Congratulations ldyjocelyn!! You'll be there for all the Christmas decorations. :00000442: It's amazing how many times we can see the same show, but I guess it could be considered an improvisational show. I do feel for those fans who can't make even one show. But I do think that there will be even more down the road that everyone will be able to see. With the birth of Parker and all the responsibilities involved with a child, I'm hoping that the music industry will see and treat Clay as the adult he is.
  3. Still sending good thoughts for those in Ike's path. I hope power, phone and cable are restored soon for those who lost these utilities. I went to Costco yesterday to grocery shop and saw about 100 cars waiting all around the lot in line for gas. It scared me because I hadn't thought of it. Although we drive our Prius most of the time I went out and filled up the SUV. Now I'm hearing about a gas shortage. So obviously the effect of Ike will be felt nationwide. Clay content; Thanks for the hints Clay. Now I'll have to rewrite the bio since I didn't send it in yet.
  4. I'll be sending good thoughts to all of you in the path of Ike. Take care and be safe. Thanks again playbiller for the fudge. It's delicious and yes it is three pounds. I thought of you as I was jumping up and down at the gym this morning. Thinking sadly of all those who were affected by 9-11.
  5. Hey maybe that's me. I wrote one in under 150 words. It's to the point and absolutely not funny or snarky. Never could do that very well.
  6. One more little Clay thing- Anyone want to spend some more money? Signed poster from Morristown Community Theatre. Clay's Poster
  7. Congratulations Bookwhore. I know you'll have a great time seeing Clay in Spamalot. In that photo of Clay and Hannah, Clay's pupils appear to be dilated, which might enhance his eyes. So either he had his eyes examined that day, the flash affected his eyes or he is having a good time. His smile is great there also. Have a good night!
  8. Happy Birthday ausdon! :hb2: :medium-smiley-075: :medium-smiley-075: :medium-smiley-075: :fest33: Hope everyone has a great day today, especially ausdon. We are having a little (unfortunately very little) Hannah rain here today. Clay content: If anyone published a book of photos of Clay, it would drive everyone crazy figuring out which one is really him. But that's what makes him so very interesting.
  9. couchie said Never heard of it but this might have to be the "Honeycrisp"apple of the fall. The hunt for it sure went on for a while and if I remember some of us really liked them and others were unimpressed. I can't wait for hem to come out again. There must be a reason I chime in when food is mentioned. :8: Off to the gym so I can continue the quest for the perfect food. Clay content: Did you all see the nice photo in US magazine from janwhatever at CH? US magazine
  10. Happy Birthday merrieeee! I hope you have a wonderful day! :bliss2-1: :EmoticonRingAround: :2164: Gray hair! Mine's been gray for a long, long time. Never colored it. I wear it as a badge of living my life on my terms and I've been very lucky to be able to do so. :thdom2:
  11. muskifest, heres wishing for a quick rebound for MIL. I hope your husband is not too stressed.
  12. Thanks bottlecap, now I'm in the mood! Remember to check store for candy corn. I'm sure it'd available year round but this is the fresher time of the year.
  13. Congratulations on the new ipod, luckiest. We all need a reward once in a while. My husband and I chipped in to buy a second flat screen tv after seeing how much we liked digital tv. Now we each have one. We could have used it for more important things but we're not perfect. I haven't had a Twinkie in many years but as playbiller can atest, I have left her house with a box of Devil Dogs many times. I could also eat those chocolate covered peanut butter cakes, I forgot who makes them. I'm not a fan of chocolate but put it with peanut butter and I'm a goner. And speaking of rewards, I'm counting on bottlecap, to bring back the candy corn soon. It's almost that time of year.
  14. Are we still talking about Twinkies? Or have we moved on to Ding Dongs? Clay content, darned if I know. :chair: Is it time to start talking about meeting up before or after the Gala?
  15. I don't worry about Clay. I think he could have taken advantage of all his unwanted publicity a la Paris Hilton but instead wants to be known as a charitable, singer, actor and most importantly a family man. And I don't think I would have been as devoted a fan if he had gone Hollywood. If he can continue making enough money to have a stable career, I have a feeling he will be happy too. I am hoping he will someday get more respect for his voice and I think it will happen over time. As playbiller will attest from her research, some of the most famous singers don't get gold or platinum records immediately, they sell steadily over long periods of time. I think Clay has mentioned many times that he doesn't want to have celebrity go to his head so his path will be different than the usual singer. ETA: I wish I could like Indian food but I don't. I had a garden salad last time we went to an Indian restaurant. I love totally bland food. I'll eat plain rice, mashed potatoes, vegetables without toppings and plain chicken. Vanilla ice cream is my favorite dessert. I'll rarely eat chocolate. As a result my husband and sons like everything exotic.
  16. Very nice BettyJean. Do you use photoshop for them? I still have trouble posting a photo, but I'm pretty good with machinery. :8:
  17. Scarlett said: Twinkies. I think they have a shelf life of 100 years unless they have invented a new organic Twinkie which would have a shelf life of 1 week. I'd go for canned goods along with fruit, bread, preserved meat and cheese. Oh don't forget the raw nuts too. I like almonds. Cereal and you can get that milk that is preserved in boxes. Don't forget ice to put in coolers. We've lost power several times for days on end. Propane if you can use it too.
  18. How exciting ansa. I can remember when my kids were young, how a break from the norm was so anticipated. Add Clay to the formula and it's a WOW occasion. Hope you have a fantastic time. Clay was just a great, funny and smart guy on AYSTATG. He wasn't pop star Clay. I love it when we can get glimpses of what he is probably like in real life. His hair and make up was inconsequential to me. More important was how he related to the kids. The last scene of him shaking their hands and telling them how great they were was fantastic. This really cements my feelings as a fan of his. nc rocks, will you be our super secret Clay spy? Just kidding as I'm sure you don't run into him on a daily basis. But if you do....... Thanks again. If you're going to the Gala or Spam again we have threads to post your attendance there. Also we have get togethers when there are enough of us in the same place at the same time. And I'll vouch for this being a great group of people. Scarlett and Kandre, safe travels home.
  19. Hi nc rocks. Were you the one who saw him? So cute that he had a bag from a baby store.
  20. Thanks bottlecap for the Wicked info. We have , I think, 12 th row partially obstructed view. The ticket said the only obstruction is for some of the scenery but not any performers. It'll be fun sandwiched in between Spamalot performances and visiting elderly aunts. Since I worked and lived in NYC for four years I don't have any desire to do a lot of sightseeing, except maybe a few museums. However, my favorite place to visit and I even took my sons there, is the Cloisters in the Bronx. It is a medival museum of wall hangings and various paintings and statues around a courtyard garden where medival music is played. When I was in college it was a cool place to hang out with friends. But it used to be very crowded on weekends, weekdays not so much. Beautiful view of the Hudson River and Grant's Tomb.
  21. Thanks Kim, Spikesmom and Gibby for the encouragement about Wicked. I hope playbiller is looking forward to it too. Ldyj, that is one scary picture of torture by spork. I'm eternally greatful that I will not be at the receiving end of it.
  22. Good morning! Looks like you all have your day planned. I'm not going anywhere exciting but we are having lunch with friends at a nice restaurant today. Hade dinner last night with our youngest son at a nice Italian restaurant. The poor guy had so much on his plate and neded to talk that we sat outside on a brick patio later and talked for two hours despite him missing a class. Last night I got a pair of tickets to Wicked for one of our nonSpam nights while in NYC. I hope we're not disappointed, it comes so highly recommended. Muskifest, read an article in our local paper about that Chelsea woman. It appears that she also questioned the masculinity of the Jonas Bros and received death threats from his fans. Can't imagine a Clay fan ever doing that. Also their management threatened to take away E!s rights to any Jonas Bros video.
  23. Welcome back ausdon. Computers are not always our friends. I don't usually post because I don't get super secret information on where Clay is and what he's doing. It's sad to me that people aren't happy for him having a son- something he has talked about wanting for so long. So when I see someone criticizing him on a board for becoming a dad I just scroll. It doesn't pay to argue. I did report a woman who was being very disrespctful on the OFC and disregarding the tou. I'm getting pretty involved in the political scene again but will be leaving on election day to head out to Spamalot and playbiller. I never get my days straight.
  24. Annabear, I made an error, Playbiller and I are going on Nov 5th and Nov 8th. I said the 5th and 7th originally.
  25. My sister and I now have tickets for Nov 5 and Nov7 at 8PM. I'm afraid this may be my only trip as Mr. Fear and I drove up twice before in 2008. I'm going to the Gala also.
