  1. Favorite memory of the Mall: My mom had just had a hip replacement and I found a store that had gadgets and whatnot, and I found a keychain of a hip!
  2. My theory: He forgot! I lean towards the idea that it was something Clay wanted to do; one pathway to the TV show that he wants so badly. I hope he narrates the whole season. And I also hope that it doesn't get preempted by football everyweek. Those dogs! They have had some serious training! Oh! Oh! Oh, rats! I got the top of the page!
  3. I was going to try to catch up here, but I give up. Too much RL. Canuck, back a few days ago you talked about who you met in CA. When you came over to introduce yourself to my DH, you said your first and last name and it took me a minute to figure out who you were. If you had just said your first name I would have been okay.
  4. The Best Buy site says A Clay Aiken Christmas so my guess is that it's a re-release of ACAC. Clay's Christmas music gets played on the radio, so maybe they want to have something available for purchase. Happy Birthday, Aikim!!! :00003653:
  5. Well that was just weird. I'm using an old computer and somehow I ended up on the LoFi version of this site. Boy was that hard to read! The pictures still came up okay, though.
  6. Thank you for the info - I had missed that. That's a lot of books! Congrats! This just cracked me up! Is there an address for those of us who don't have paypal but would like to send a check? couchie I have a terrible time with paypal and I've given up. It has to do with passwords and their security protection. I would like to send something to help - either for now or as a cushion. Exciting times, Caro! Happy Birthday AAIT!!! :04: {{{Clay and Family}}}
  7. I thought ACAC was nice. Not great, just nice. I watched mine once, but then it didn't work so I just didn't buy a new one. Where did this DVD rumor come from? Or did I just make that up?
  8. Selfish me, I'm afraid that having kids would make him tour less! I do love to "ship" to tease certain people though.
  9. Word. I can only imagine that it would take a special kind of person to let the comments and criticism just roll off her back. A thick skin is one thing, but I think it would still get to most people.
  10. To smut or not to smut... ~ I would do him under trees I would do him on my knees I would do him in the breeze I would do him on a bus But if it's only us ~ That's all I've got.
  11. So it's Happy Not-a-Birthday, bottlecap? Yeah, couchie, you don't want to call my husband a Claymate. He calls himself a Clay Dawg, although he's never been to the site. His screen name on OFC (I think he's posted once) is MrSaltwaterDAWG, in case anyone would have any doubt. If I may brag, MrS is more likely to tell people that we are vacationing around Clay concerts than I am. High brow or low brow, keep 'em coming! Caro, I left this comment in your blog, but it deserves mentioning again: Your sweet Grandbaby blog is the first one from you that I have ever seen without Clay pictures! :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  12. Oh, I just love poetry! Especially this high-brow stuff. Such a thoughtful subject (or at least one I like to give a lot of thought). Solo, no I didn't know if you were kidding or not. That video of you and the whole camera incident is one of the few on my harddrive. I can't get enough of the "When I See You Smile" serenade to Flat Clay in Pala. I found this version. Includes lots of banter. Too Fun! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGe941M4Eh4
  13. Couchie Clay was very happy at Kimmel, you're right. I thought of him as more excited and cranked up, though, at least during the performance. He was quite sweet in the signing line. My DH asked him how he was holding up (we were near the back of the line) and Clay said he was doing well. Lordy, he looked cute. I've been on a Memory Lane kick recently - I've been pulling out the dusty tour CDs from the pocket in my truck. I've forgotten how much I loved Kyrie, Rosanna and Your Were There. That was the NAT, wasn't it? Great tour.
  14. BWAAAAAAHHHH!!! :lmaosmiley-1: Who's going to illustrate this literary masterpiece? And will it be X-rated? I have a vague recollection of having done something similar, using pictures of Clay inserted into a 'revisionist' version of some Dr. Seuss book, but now for the life of me I can't remember which one. It waaaay back in the dark ages. I think on RHT. I remember, too. It was around Dr. Seuss' birthday. We added pictures, something about "against a door" and we used the picture of Clay leaning against a silver corrogated metal wall or garage door or something.
  15. Holy smokes, look at those eyelashes! I loved his look around the CD release. I really like the clean-shaven look, but a little scruff (and a little burn) are very sweet. Claymate. I hated that at first, then just got used to it. I don't mind now - it just seems like part of the territory.
  16. Does Jerome really have a list? I kinda always thought you'd sleep with Clay, but maybe I was wrong. :eusa_whistle: Ew, no, not Josh Groban! Yum! Double yum! All kinds of yum! Was that really a year ago? A year ago I was heading to CA for Kimmel and the CD signing. Good times. Canuck that's hilarious!
  17. Lots of congrats and celebrations in order today! Happy Birthday, ldyjocelyn! :00003653: Happy Anniversary, Aikim! :04: Congratulations on the new Grandson, Caro! :laola0: And thanks to all who brought lovely gifts for these occasions! :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  18. I wondered if maybe something was stuck, or caught up in his boxers and he was trying to shake it loose. **goes to check View New Posts" button to see who's talking about what where** Now I'm just watching cracking up! There goes all the hott and sexy. Mandler I love that last one - makes me think of his laugh - the big "ha ha ha" belly laugh he does on occasion, which I happen to think is quite hott. So, no, not much of a departure for me.
  19. Wow, I never thought of it that way. He surely did not make those move at the CA 4 fer I saw. My, my, my that Houston move was pretty hot. Although the exaggerated moves at the succeeding concerts were very funny, I would have loved to have seen him just that way. Clay sounded so good on many of those songs - especially Usher. He was funny in CA, but I just wanted him to let go of the camp and sing them straight.
  20. Looks to me like when she was all up on him screaming, she might have dropped a ferret down his pants. I need to page back and check again.
  21. Yeah, very mesmerizing. xxx4clay I've had those darn TV themes in my head off and on since CA. Darn him.
  22. Ok. Collards, spinach, mixed baby greens, eggplant, tomatoes (or is that a fruit), green beans, brussel sprouts, red peppers, onions - yeah, best bought fresh at the local farmers market.
  23. Ducky congrats on body guard status, a position that could allow for intimate conversations. Rats, I forgot to quote two posts I wanted to respond to and now I can't find them. First - the drinking and angel smilies. Neither for me, please - can I have the mineral water and devil ones? Wait, I can't find mineral water and devil ones. Second, dang, I wish I could find the other post because it's got me really thinking - unusual for a Saturday morning. It was about "objectifying" Clay, made in jest, of course. Lord knows I do it all the time, but sometimes it really bugs me in myself. Typically it's after I've had some sort of close contact with the man - definitely after my M&G a couple of years ago, but even at the bus line this summer. In LA, we were lined up at a curb and near me, "up line", was a parked car. Clay went around the car to connect with the line and again, and as he was coming around he sighed deep and heavy, then he went back into "public" mode again. Seeing that made me appreciate - even more - the effort that goes into "walking the line". Recently I've thought about what it must feel like to be watched in binoculars. Last tour I was into eyelashes, this summer tour, freckles, and always, those hands (!). I do my fair share of . I'm not criticizing. Today I'm just feeling a bit like I have an angel (guess I need that smilie after all) on one shoulder and the devil (my usual) on the other. I'm really okay with all the ogling, objectifying and general enjoyment of Clay's many and marvelous physical attributes when he's in "public" mode; in my mind that's what fuels some of his celebrity. But my angel side really does admire his character. In many ways he's a role model for me - very human, perfectly imperfect. As my DH has said, "He's just a good guy." Was that all just rumination?? My really important point of the morning is that I must admit that ice cream is not my favorite. I will often turn it down, although DH makes good milkshakes. I even tried Briar's Peach ice cream once. Meh. I'll just take plain ole peaches.
  24. Wow, that's gorgeous! Thank you. What a show that was! Back when the board was much slower, a post at the top of the page could sit there for hours and hours all alone. That's how the tradition started. Thank you for the explanation. It all makes sense now. Now I get it! I guess I'm just slow. Good one!
