  1. :lmaosmiley-1: Exactly!! I forgot about the Fair....that'll be fun!! The vest from the hat picture - now I know why it's familiar. Never would have placed it without that hott and wonderful banner! mmm.....could be....but I don't think so; I think the banner one is much lighter than the Chinese food one. He does seem to have multiples of things he likes in various colors, often. Looking closer, I think you're right. The neckline should have tipped me off.
  2. The vest from the hat picture - now I know why it's familiar. Never would have placed it without that hott and wonderful banner!
  3. Varmit stories!!! Ducky will appreciate that. I'll spare the gory details and say that my DH and our two dogs caught their very first varmit - a young marmot - last weekend. Well, mice, don't count - we have lots of those here. Just moved to acreage on a prairie. I love pancake dough - especially buckwheat! I like most doughs, except pie dough. Cake dough is a favorite. An old favorite... First time I ever wanted to be a giraffe. ETA: No, the ONLY time I've ever wanted to be a giraffe.
  4. No,treenuts, at the very end of the loop you can see his hand come down but Clay was already walking by. He was busy trying to take pictures with the must-be-replaced-before-the-next-Clay-event camera.
  5. Just scrolling through my Spamalot pictures tonight and I thought I would share this. Mr. Salt took lots of pictures, but we desperately need a new camera, so this is one of the better ones. March 16.
  6. sounds to me like somebody has their priorities straight Plus the angst drives me nuts! Usually a rumor or bit of news catches my interest in the beginning, but I'm just not all that interested for very long. I have to admit I mulled over the baby rumor a bit more than usual - plus it's one of the few things I've been asked about. Mostly I'm dismayed the "People" is taken as an authority by friends who should know better. At least they ask, though, so I can say that nothing has been confirmed. I am looking forward to whatever is next, and SO missing a summer tour. The Cali Four-fer was a fantastic trip all around. Hoping for Christmas. Rats, I guess I didn't contribute enough to get the pictures. And yes, those shoulders are verra verra nice. Never enough pretty pictures!
  7. I don't remember seeing this - what was it from, the Mexico trip? ~ I'm sorry to say that I seldom have time to read the discussions here, let alone participate. There are some great discussions. By the time I read them, they're last week's news. I do, however, browse the pictures quite often.
  8. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, COUCHIE!!!!!!!! :F_05BL17blowkiss: Thanks, all for posting the pretties. I so badly needed some Clay. And thanks for the suggestion, ducky.
  9. snow Are you in Washington State? We had it too. ETA: Oops, I see you're from Montana.
  10. I think there's alot of merit in what you said; however, there are people who believe whatever they read in print - and are out there in the grocery store the minute the new NE or Star or Globe go on sale. Now, the question is, are these the people that would have bought Clay's CD otherwise? Probably not. But there are some really naive people in the world that just believe Elvis is still alive, someone had an alien baby, Clay Aiken is gay and had that encounter, and Brangelina have broken up. I have no idea what goes on in someone's life or what is in their background or whatever whatever that makes these sleezerags the fount of information for them. I just don't know. But I do know that they keep these shitsheets in business, hit the websites of the rumorhags, etc. Someone is keeping all these people in business. My aunt, who has been dead for years, used to buy NE faithfully. When asked why, she'd just say it was entertaining. I never knew if she believed any of the crap - I suspect not. It was also very out of character for her, and something I've wondered about. Before Clay, I just thought of the rag as reporting on space aliens and what not - fun to snicker over the headlines, but nothing to actually purchase.
  11. When I first read through the wonderful story above, I thought, "Clay isn't 20!" Then I reread and saw that "20" refers to "Hobart children". Just practicing to be a tabloid "journalist", I guess! ~ I love the cover. It sure caught my attention!
  12. Just Clay's pokey chest hairs. Never been a fan of the hairy man look but there is something about seeing that little glimpse of Clay's pokey chest hairs that elicits a visceral response in me. It is said that the mere glimpse of a woman's ankle during Victorian times was enough to arouse men. Those of you who have a DH or DL do you react the same way or is this just a result of my being without a man? One of my stage door pictures has the chest hair and bare neck and shoulders - just plain and simple erotic. And yes, I have a DH. Otherwise known as Random Cute Guy. I hear his name came up again recently. That's one of the few pictures I've downloaded in quite awhile. Grrrrrrrr.
  13. "Something!" I'll post SOMETHING too......... Good one!
  14. "Something!" I'm shallow. I just come for the pictures. Seriously, I just can't get into the discussion myself - my feelings just aren't that strong either way. I'll admit that I'm curious, though. Certainly is interesting to read people's reactions.
  15. Heee....I don't think it happens here, but on other boards there really are people who believe that since Clay joked about not liking avocados: He will never eat them ever He would never have a relationship with an avocado lover He would never eat in a restaurant that serves avocados He would never buy a house with an avocado tree in the yard The nutrient content of avocados is listed and Clay is reprimanded for not eating them And is sent books and lists about what he should eat Faye will be blamed for Clay not liking avocados Faye just prolly prepared avocados incorrectly when Clay was a poor pitiful child, because those southerners don't know how to fix or appreciate good food Clay is only saying he doesn't like avocados because he wants the California Avocado Association to pay big bucks for him to recant and say he loves them now Saying he hates avocados is a sekrit signal to fake baby mamas Saying he hates avocados means some tortuous intrusive clue about Santa M.....sorry, just typing that makes me pukle Saying he hates avocados means he is leaving RCA There will be a thread at OFC denouncing his disdain for avocados There will be a thread at OFC praising him for hating avocados and showing support for Cesar Chavez I honestly could continue for another 20 minutes, but SOME people have deliberately and willfully chosen to regard my humorous sense of irony as, um, sarcasm...... If he is seen eating avocado: He is a liar He prolly lied about OTHER STUFF TOO He has betrayed his fans, who have given up avocados in a show of support Some of us just get an uncontrollable tic when we hear how Clay hates something :-O (edited because my sense of irony does not reside in a bone in my arm) I don't post here often, mainly because I usually don't have the time to keep up, but I just had to pop in and say this is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time! I had to read it to my DH - a Clay fan as well.
  16. Good point and it's going to be interesting to see how DC's career grows. I do see some similarities in qualities of the two men---I know that DC's the first guy on the show since Clay that I actually find myself attracted to in interesting ways. Never mind 'pretty boys' like Ace and Michael John, etc. DC's got a twinkle in his eye and a knowing something in his grin that makes me think there's something worth finding out about, you know? I find DC interesting, too, also the first since Clay. Definitely not the same kind of interest, but interest nonetheless. Tijala, we're practically neighbors! Well, I'm in Central Washington, closer to Seattle than Spokane, but still, it's nice to "see" a Washington face! I've heard that the fan group in Spokane is (or was) quite active. When DH and I were headed to St. Paul for NAT my mother could not believe that we were getting together with people that I met on the in.ter.net. She was appalled and very frightened for us. Probably thought she'd never see us again. Now my family accepts my friendships, but still makes fun of our traveling to see Clay. Now, back to my usually lurking...
  17. Thank you, kind posters-of-pictures, for the wonderful distraction from work.
  18. I find the line "last of a dying breed" distracting. "What would I want from you?" - interesting
  19. This one's really growing on me, for it's differentness, I think. Both in musical style and vocally. We've had hints of this edge before - "I Survived You" live. I think this will be a great live song. I like the contrasts in the vocals throughout. Ducky pointed out the "Well, well" elsewhere - yep. Niiiice.
  20. Ooooooh, I like it, too! He's singing really quiet on 'turn around and see what love does for me' and then there's a sudden dynamic change - he starts singing much louder, and the instruments all start wailing, too. It's COOOOL!!! VERY! Really sets off the next line. I like the last "the ashes" - tender.
  21. Good question. Innocent, less confident, maybe. I suppose that could be considered "cold" in a way.
  22. When I first got the CD I played this song over and over and over until I had the lyrics down perfect. I had a long drive home on Tuesday, but it's one of those songs that I need to sing along with - loud - and move. Got lots of funny looks from other drivers. I just can't sit still and listen. I really haven't spent that much time enjoying Clay's voice per se because I'm so into the lyrics and guitars.
  23. This my new anthem. LOVE the guitar - I've been waiting to hear Clay with some decent guitar work! The second verse really speaks to me. The idea of the Voice of "Reason" - that negative voice. The last chorus is my favorite, with the quiet first line. I like how he pauses before "so cold". I can picture him singing this in concert, pacing around the stage and really getting into the chorus. This one will be really fun live.
