I wonder ... 1) If AI#7 will mention Spamalot 2) If Simon will attend a performance... I mean, he's English and the English just love Monty Python. I imagine he's already seen it, but will he go back and see Clay especially since he went on and on about Clay being perfect for Broadway. I guess the question is... does he care? ?

I can't get over how you guys notice every little detail about Clay! KAndre mentioned the shirt he was wearing (outside signing autographs) was the one he wore for BOTW, and so I went and checked out the Clack for BOTW and true enough, the stripes on the collar matched. This is all too much! :lmaosmiley-1: (But I LOVE IT!)

I would love to know how Fay felt last night. Any reports on anyone talking to her after the show? And Brett too, but just imagine being Clay's mother in the audience, watching and listening to the audience and cast applaud her first baby.

Serious suggestion!!! Any chance of a GLOSSARY of terms and abbreviations used in this forum? cellcert = live performance piped through a cell phone cert = concert dl = download eHP = ? ... plus a few more that I will no doubt come across. Just for spoon-feeding the igorant newbies..... Any chance?

I am not sure which thread/sub-forum to post this in, but since I've been living in THIS one, it might as well be this one. Last year, I joined another Clay forum and was disappointed with it, I really felt lost and like an outsider, and the forum wasn't user-friendly for someone with my limited technical skills. I can't believe how helpful everyone has been in this forum and so willing to help me catch up with news and information about Clay, not just here on the board but in PM as well. And the forum colors here are beautiful and so easy on the eyes. I really want to thank those responsible for making this such a great place and most of all, such a welcoming place for someone like me who has so much to catch up on. My intention originally was to lurk and soak up everything I've missed, rather than post, but now that I've found that my posts bring me even more goodies, I guess I will lurk AND post.... lol

Thanks soooo much Ansamcw... actually even if I were able to go, I would still watch these first as a "warm-up", so that I wouldn't be totally out of my comfort zone because I have never been able to ''get' Monty Python. It's like the first time I went to an Opera, my friend had to explain the story to me first so that I wouldn't be totally lost.

Hm... you know how when a Broadway show is successful... it ends up as a blockbuster movie? And you know how a former Idol finalist who did NOT win Idol but was cast in a major role in the movie version of a Broadway hit ... and won the biggest movie award of all? Surely it would NOT stop people from going. Broadway is Broadway, you could never capture the spirit of Broadway on video so it would surely only serve to entice people to go and to make those who live too far away jealous as hell! Surely the clips on You Tube did not stop anyone from attending a Clay concert? If I were living close enough to go, the only doubt I would have about Spamalot is that I am NOT a Monty Python fan. But a true fan would be like a parent, you go to your kid's recital for one reason and one reason only - because your kid is performing! Also, Spamalot is so different to anything Clay has done since 2003 that I think the novelty factor for both him and the fans would be something worth experiencing. OK, maybe I am rambling on too much for someone from the other end of the world but that's how I see it!!

Yeah I didn't even take it as a diss...more like teasing. It was just about the hair and red jacket...it was an obvious thing to say because of the auditioner. It's a compliment.... Clay is easily one of the most memorable. Ah well, I will be watching American Idol again on YouTube since it is not being screened Down Under on the free television channels. I believe those who have Foxtel Cable TV here will be able to see it though. That's not me, I can't justify the cost of Foxtel when I only watch one hour of TV per day on average. I'll be looking for the YouTube videos if you guys talk about anyone special... I mean, if you find another Clay Aiken( as if..) ...

Thanks for that! "I Am Changing" is my favourite song from Dreamgirls (I have the DVD). I am sure that song is what won Bianca Ryan the AGT's title, rather than "And I AM Telling You". LOL I watched America's Got Talent entirely on YouTube because it wasn't screened in Oz.

The admins and mods will have to talk about this. Personally...I don;t think download links should be posted on the boards. You Tube links...I think people should just check you tube on their own. Clay made a specific request and I think we should try to honor that. Well, my understanding is that it is against the rules to take pics/videos at a Broadway show, and that's certainly the way it should be. However, if perchance THEY themselves record some of it and it winds up on YouTUbe, you can be sure I will find it because I check YouTube daily for new uploads about Clay. If I do find anything, I will probably make reference to it here because I know all too well how it feels to be left out of everything from TV to live gigs because I live at the other end of the world and if it's weren't for Clack Unlimited and YouTube, I would feel even more deprived! I definitely won't post any YouTube links here that relate to Spamalot because the mods here can do that if they decide it's okay to do so.

Yes, she has it set to turn too quick for me too. To get to the pictures: below the slideshow, you will see a box that says "View all Images". It will take you to the slideshow at slide.com, doubleclick on the picture (these ones are a little slower) and it will take you to the original hosting site, where you can save it in the original size or larger (see "View full size" bottom left of the picture). Actually, the music I love today hasn't got a lot to do with the music I grew up with. I like lots of different kinds of music but I tend to have an artist of the moment, and Clay has been my moment artist since 2004 and another favourite is Casey Donovan who has never been forgiven by some fans for winning Australian Idol #2 at the expense of the highly favoured Anthony Callea who was runner-up. Casey has just released an EP which includes a self-penned song called Did It Again... about addiction. TUT TUT both she and Anthony were smokers during the Idol series. Some posts in here reminded me of the lyrics of the song because I read about how some Clay addicts have tried to reduce their Clay-fix and just when they think they have made it, they fall off the band wagon. I totally related because I tell myself I am fully capable of packing up and going to bed without having to check on YouTube to see if there is any new clack uploaded. That's how I stumbled on Quiana's And I Am Telling You... I did a search on Clay for the most recent and her vid was included with his latest ones added.

Clack : I only recently found out what Clack was derived from, although I kinda worked it out (as Randy would say). LOL you know how Asians (mainly oriental asians) can't pronounce their "R"s, so it could be dangerous if you are in South East Asia talking about 'clack', non-Claysians may give you strange looks!. ... I surely am looking forward to all that.. Some of what you say above I don't quite understand YET but I have seen Open Arms on from Clack and I agree with you, I don't like his look there, he did look hawt for the Wildcard performance though. However, as you know, the first time I clapped eyes on Clay was during the AI3 series when he did Solitaire and rendered me speechless and spellbound. (For those who don't know, we didn't have AI1 and 2 screened in Australia). So I kinda worked backwards to see all the stuff leading up to it but of course there is still much I haven't seen and can't believe that I will have my own collection of Clack. As you know I have recently recruited a new Claydawg in Sydney so I guess there will be others besides me who will be sending you quiet thanks in the years to come. My intention is to immediately burn backup copies from your DVDs and use my copies and preserve yours in a special DVD case so that if anything happens to my copies, I have the masters!!! Oh and yes I do like Kelly Clarkson but not enough for you to especially include her, unless it involves Clay. I have more than enough of Kelly, she is very popular in Australia but Clay is still relatively unknown unless the person concerned is a big Idol fan. (Kelly has been to Australia several times and did a guest performance (Miss Independent) on Australia Idol #1, and got a standing O from our Idol judges. BTW, for those who are interested...
