  1. NO KIDDING!! I cannot get over how, at times, he just doesn't look like, um... himself!! NJUs must surely be scratching their heads if they only get periodic updates! My favourite look is towards the end of Idol when his hair was shortish and he looked adorable, and then around the time he launched ATDW when his hair was dark and not so short.... and when he was on Tyra and on LKL, oh and when he did the surprise thing at AI5.
  2. I went to that site and I just cannot CANNOT believe there are so many Clay sites. OMG, does Clay KNOW this forum and all those others actually exist? Surely there is no other artist with this many forums and sites dedicated to one artist... surely surely not!!! p.s. FABULOUS BANNER!!
  3. Honestly, I feel that Clay has something unique.. he is versatile in a way no other Idol (winner or non-winner) is. Not only can Clay be an international recording artist, he can do musical theatre where timing is everything. And if he can do musical theatre, he can do drama on Broadway as well. I wouldn't be suprised if some producers and casting directors have him ear-marked for projects being worked on. And further, there's a movie role waiting for him, I am sure.... But I am also sure he will one day host his own TV show, he is perfect for it. I also believe that while all these roles will fill his artistic needs and strengthen his influence, eventually, his main role will be as a humanitarian. He showed such incredible sensitivity to people with special needs when he was so young, so I believe that is at the core of who he is.
  4. OK, it's a day late, but in honor of St Patrick's day, you just have to give this one a look.... Pat and Mick walking down a street in London and Pat happens to look in one of the shop windows and sees a sign that catches his eye. The sign said 'Suits £5.00 each, Shirts £2.00 each, trousers £2.50 per pair'. Pat says to his pal, 'Mick, will you look at that! We could buy a whole lot of dose, and when we get back to Ireland, we could make a fortune. Now when we go into the shop, you be quiet, okay? Just let me do all the talking cause if they hear our accent, they might not be nice to us. I'll speak in my best English accent.' 'Roight y'are, Pat, I'll keep me mouth shut, so I will.' says Mick. In they go and Paddy, in his best English accent, says 'I'll take 50 suits at £5.00 each, 100 shirts at £2.00 each, and 50 pairs of trousers at £2.50 each. I'll back up my van and ......' The owner of the shop interrupts, 'You're from Ireland, aren't you?' 'Well...yes,' says a surprised Pat. 'How de hell d' y' know dat?' The owner says, 'Because this is a dry cleaners.'
  5. I have been watching clack for the last couple of hours and I still can't get over just how incredible Clay's Mack the Knife was. How come Charles and Vanessa were not included in Burt Bacharach's "What the World Needs Now" Seems that they would leave out just two people.
  6. Is there a scan of that Bio page somewhere in this forum? I couldn't find any at FCA (ldyj - clues?), but Clayversity has scans of the Spamalot Playbill. I can bring them over here this evening when I get home, if no one posts them before then. ETA: let me try an attachment... Double-click Bottlecap, thank you so much for that!! Gosh this forum is just amazing!
  7. Is there a scan of that Bio page somewhere in this forum? p.s. LOVE these stories, almost like being there myself. Well, hm, not really I guess. I HAVE been to NY, but not in the right decade....
  8. HA, that's MY strategy before bathing my dog!~~ But yeah, as a former cat owner, I can relate .... when she was a kitten... but I finally got it down to a fine art and she calmly endured the horror, knowing it would soon pass...
  9. Absolutely LOVE this one!!! Wow, so versatile and PORTABLE! Bookwhore, this is my favourite ... I sent it to some friends who loved this incredible cordless device as well!
  10. OMG Annabear ... and I thought I was a good recycler!!
  11. hey, I know it is not a joke, but I would gladly pay that amount if I could have this: healthcare in Australia Generally, those who pay lots more than Americans do for gas are paying high taxes which then go for roads and social services. Americans are just paying obscene profits to giant corporations. Huuuuuge difference! According to Wikipedia (assuming The Evil Marx Brother has not screwed with it), for the first quarter of 2008, the average tax per gallon of gas, including state taxes, is about .47 - the rest goes to the oil company. Well that's certainly a good point, but actually Medicare, our health care system, looks a lot better on paper than it does in practice. Isn't that right, Ausdon? However, from all accounts, it certainly seems better than what you have, and I honestly feel heart-sick about some of the stories I hear in the USA about those who don't have medical insurance. Some retirees struggle back into the workforce just so that they can get medical insurance for their existing medical condition. That's a dreadful reason to have to go to work.
  12. Is the time on this board Central or Eastern?
  13. Regarding your comment about Trenyce, I kinda agree... it think it must have been very hard for the others because it really was the Clay and Ruben Show, and the producers knew it was drawing the audiences. Re Clay leading the show.... so is the quote below correct? It's from Wikipedia and I am never sure what to believe when I read it from Wikipedia.
  14. Absolutely LOVE this one!!! Wow, so versatile and PORTABLE!
  15. OK, no one under 18 comes to this board, right? GOOD! Superman was kinda bored so he just started flying around looking for something to do. He's flying over Wonder Woman's house and sees her bedroom window is open. He stops for a glimpse and sees her lying on her bed naked. She's lying there and squirming around looking real hot. Superman was getting turned on looking at her so he decides what the hell, I can just fly in real quick, give her the ole' in-out and be out of there before she even knows what hit her. After all he is Superman. So, in he goes, wham-bam and he's out of there. Wonder Woman knew something happened and says, "What was that?" The invisible man says, "I don't know but, damn, is my ass sore."
  16. Bookwhore, I love the Polish cows too! Ausdon, ok, here's something to prove that Mama realllly means business, and how to tell when you're not Mom's favourite child anymore...
  17. Treenuts Watch Josh Gracin's prediction in an interview with Matt Lauer shortly after he was eliminated in 4th position. His prediction is eerie.... I honestly feel that if Simon had not told Clay (after BOTW) that it could win him the competition, Clay might well have won. But it no longer matters, it's not how you start your career, it's how you finish.... And anyway, I wish only the very best for Ruben too, I certainly understand why he was so popular too.
  18. OMG I can't get over all that SNOW in your front yard!

  19. Thanks for that ToldForThis! Humour can resolve a lot of 'ailments' and is also used for pain management. A friend of mine had a back injury and was off work for weeks and became very depressed. Part of her rehab involved visiting a pain management clinic where they played comedy video and told jokes. Everyone got so involved in the merriment and laughter that they realised they weren't thinking about their physical pain, and it almost disappeared or was drastically reduced. They all stated that their pain meds did not do half as well.
  20. p.s. those of you in the USA who are whining about paying approx US$3.50 per gallon for gas, have a thought for us Down Under who are paying approx US$5.40 for the equivalent... And that's NOT a joke!
  21. Hey Ausdon, they don't have wheelie bins ? :o :o :o :o Hey Claytonic, I would gladly swap mine for the regular kind if they would collect it a lot more often especially in this heat. Cindilu wow thats a lot of snow! I called my kids in to see that. {{Ivy}} It sounds a bit scary at your place. CalClay Welcome! Ausdon, I have a simple solution I have used for many years ..... if you have a garden, get a compost bin. I have never had to 'empty' a compost bin, it just breaks down all organic matter from your kitchen and garden. I know people in apartments who have a compost bin as well. I use the compost for my organic herbs and some veggies. I cannot imagine life without the green and yellow (reclycing) wheelie bins. Wish we had some of Cindilu's snow .... it's too hot today! Greenic
  22. Hey Ausdon, they don't have wheelie bins ? :o :o :o :o
  23. Yes, playbill you are right, and that makes sense. I didn't understand why they was an abridged version and why ANYONE would want the abridged version but of course NOW I know. They have replaced the one I got with the abridged version which is only a couple of hours long. It's not 5 hours of Clay but even one hour of Clay is better than 5 hours of someone narrating HIS story!
