I thought the first tip, about making sub-groups of your friend list, was the greatest thing! And once I did that, I was able to go into the individual privacy setting of all the different things (profile, personal info, picture albums, applications, etc) and set them accordingly. Now I won't feel weird adding work people as friends!

Haven't tried this yet but I'll say thanks in advance because this sounds like it will work for me! I have a couple of "non-clayfans" on my facebook page and was wondering about making 2 separate Facebook pages. I'll look at this tonight.

Hee, I'm on youtube too. I did a stupid today and accidentally wiped the bulk of the stuff off of my iPod trying to put the contents onto my interim computer... only half worked, I got all the stuff I've purchased from iTunes, so no Clack at all. I have all the other stuff saved to a backup hard drive, so I'm not particularly worried.

Anyway, I'm rewatching a lot of the AI stuff on YouTube since I had a sudden hankering for it and, naturally, don't have it at my fingertips like I usually do. I may not be a huge fan of AI (never have, really) but I love those original Clay moments. The first time I saw Clay was on Leno singing OMWH, but when I really fell flat on my face was when I looked him up on YouTube. Sometimes I'll forget just how unique his voice is, but there's nothing like a quick spin through those videos to remind me!

ETA: Hmm... did I read somewhere that he had an allergic reaction to something before Tell Her About It or did I imagine that? Because he looks fine to me...

It blows me away when I find somebody like yourself who wasn't a fan, who discovered him recently. The only minor worry I have is about Clay filling venues, knowing that we've lost "fans" after Clay "came out", so it's nice to hear that we're gaining new ones!

While I may need way more info to form an opinion, it doesn't stop me from hoping. I'd love to see him on idol to wipe up the floor with everyone else. Maybe he can use Simon's face to do it.

From your profile....in the grey taskbar, at the bottom left, you should see "Applications"; if it's not in the list already, you can "find more" (top right in that popup). It's called Ilike, and when you add the application you'll see all sorts of neat stuff you can do.

Or........I sent a thing earlier to all us ON folks that says "LF wants Clay Aiken to come to Toronto, Canada"; you should see that on your wall. If you click on "Vote for your town" in that, I think it will ask to add the application for you.

Yes, if you scroll down a person's "info" page (the same place where they have contact info, education info, etc) you will see their "pages". Apparently I have 11, including Clay and Blue Rodeo and Milk and Spamalot! You can also see their "groups". Those are things like "Supporter of the BAF" and "I wish I could quit school and follow Clay Aiken around the country". Hee, I'm not making that one up, either. So what if I'm not a student?

I could join the "I wish I could quit school and follow Clay Aiken around the country" group but I gotta add that if I quit, then I'd be broke...so best I can do is to "be strategically sick" on certain days...oddly enough...always a Friday or Monday.

Lotza good discussion here. I gots to go get groceries, so I'll just say that as far as people posting on messageboard goes, I usually try to give the benefit of the doubt but when the posts are "different" my "suspicious" radar pops up.

As far as what I read in papers or magazines, I'm a born skeptic, so I question most everything.

I'm currently questioning how wise it is to be sending/receiving gifts from friends on facebook. I wonder that there could be some spyware/malaware involved somehow because it "needs to access your account information to work properly".

Re: the emotes, you can't move them around on invision. You can delete and replace and move them up into a spot near the top sometimes and then re-add one that you don't want near the top, so it goes to the bottom, but it's unpredictable. I found with regular invision, that if you deleted one and added another without leaving the admin page, it would put it in the place of the deleted emote...but you had to do it right away and "just right" and it's been a year or so since I messed around with doing that. The renaming is easy. The relocating is tricky. With Yuku, you can replace an emote directly into another emotes spot, so it's more straightforward and less "please let this work".

I'm glad to see you gradually renaming emotes to make sense so people can just type the code of their favourites vs searching through the huge long list. Any chance we could rename thewave emote to be :thewave cuz I always screw up :lalaol0 or whatever it is.

The Playlist CD I think, not OMWH, unless I'm looking at the wrong poll. ....and not surprising at all in my world, but hey, what do I know?

Thanks to a few good friends, I've discovered that someone is pretending to be me on there. BIG SHOCKER! And though, I normally ignore such BS, I've learned that this person (who obviously has too much time on their hands) is being inappropriately rude with some fans, and that pisses me off a bit! ;-)

While I do have a Facebook page, I have opted to keep it pretty private and really only use it rarely to keep in touch with my "Spam-Fam", my LA peeps, and a few longtime friends from home. Just wanted to make you aware... if you've "friended" me on Facebook, you've "friended" a wacko and a poser.

I was over at Amazon and the "Best Of Clay Aiken" page led me to OMWH and to read some reviews. I was taken by a review from "someone who loved Clay on Idol" but didn't like MOAM at all -- thought it was "plastic" music -- and ignored ATDW because it was warmed over covers -- but just discovered OMWH and can't get enough of it.

And then there's me ... and I love all three. Lucky me.

I gotta agree do a degree with the "plastic" music comment. A lot of MOAM was pure bubblegum. I didn't love ATDW because I didn't like some of the songs to start with but I do love most of OMWH.

ETA: Haven't watched Idol, but hearing about Simon's remark that one of the singers reminded him of Clay Aiken .... did that kid get through?

Glad to hear that Tasapio is still a fan. She helped me once to quickly set up somebody else's unfamiliar camera for me.

I'll have to go check out her NAT pix cuz I really only discovered her pix during JBT. I'm assuming Beemer (leg-hump girl has them all but who knows). I've been meaning to recap my clack from that show. It was my 3rd show ever that I video-taped (only smuggled in one camera that trip, lol) and I was way back in Row S or something but it turned out not too badly (as far as clack from that show goes). I didn't know how to cap at the time, so what was up at Gonzo's site was done from a VHS tape and CV lost it in the transition.

I joined Facebook awhile back through a flying friend but honestly I don't need Facebook to be letting high school friends find me because frankly the ones I care about, I know where they are....sooooooooooooooooo...really the main use for it would be for Clay friends. I have a couple of Clay friends who have made their screen names be their Facebook names...and I'd kind of like to do that...BUT I have the problem of needing a first name and last name or first name, middle name, last name. Right now I'm working on mid-terms and trying to fight some nasty stomach flu that seems like it is never going to go away. I hate being sick so I'm extremely cranky right now.

Now that I've driven to NYC by myself, I'm feeling much braver. Maybe I'll even try a plane the next time, although I may need sedatives to get me through it.

The crash due to icing on the flight from Newark into Buffalo freaked me out because of how much flying back and forth between Buffalo and NYC that I did over the course of Spam 1 and Spam 2. I was a little freaked coming back from NYC into Buffalo the last time Jan 4th night because we were coming through major snow and I was sitting out looking at some crap on the wings and as the flaps came down and we started our decent, it started getting really rough and I just didn't like the weather conditions cuz I know how snow can turn to freezing rain in cloud. Me no likey. Normally, I'm checking the aviation weather on my laptop when it's iffy cuz I can read that crap but I didn't have it out that trip...so was "flying blind" so to speak. I was coming into Buffalo that night at about...yup 10:00pm, so yeah...that crash freaked me out some. I've vowed a) avoid turboprop planes and to check the weather and if I don't like it, I'm staying on the ground cuz while we may all have a damned good idea of where the pilots screwed up that night and hopefully all will be more diligent in the future, ya never know. I have nothing against turbo props. Hell, I fly around with only one little fan out front turning around, but then I don't fly through icing conditions. Period. Endstop. I have friends who are pilots, who tried flying commercial for companies and ya know...they check the weather and then...they GO...through crap, they aren't necessarily comfortable with. Sorry. Pilot rant. Buffalo crash shouldn't have happened.

Such as........ tonight THE BACHELOR is chosing his bride.

Tonight Jason, who is a really cute guy from Seattle with a 4 yr old son, gets bombarded with emotions...... (see preview) because DeAnna, the girl who took him all the way to the top 2 on the Bachelorette last year, makes a surprise appearance because "she made a mistake."

They are billing it as "the most emotional finale yet." (of course they always say that!)

But I'll be right there watching!!! I can't wait to see what happens.

Thanks for the pictures. I can never get over how Clay can look so different in different pictures. Of course he always looks completely gorgeous. Most celebrities always look the same in their pictures. I can not figure out how Clay can manage so many different looks and I am not just talking about the hair style or hair color. The facial features, even though they are the same, manage to look different to me. Beautiful man!

clayzy, just realize that there COULD be some crazy people out there who would be willing to pick you up, even if they live 15 hours away from you, and drag you to a concert 15 hours away from you. Bring you back in less than 24 hours too. Just sayin'. *g*

Seriously, one of the things I love about this fandom is the crazy things I've done over the years to help other fans get to see Clay. Sleeping with people I don't know, things like that. Love it.

That might have to be where I draw the line...

And I'm psyched to learn that one of the perks to being a Claymate/fan is that you can defy the laws of time! When do I acquire this new ability?

Don't know about the defying time part but I know all about the dragging/being "dragged" to concerts way too far away and sleeping with people I don't know, lol. We are truly insane...but extremely trustworthy, lol.

I had a "professhunul" do it for me. Worked well.

It's my, uh, NJU? friends that I'd have a hard time rounding up and convincing to go with me. *hunts for a nice lasso* A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, ya know?

If I had to pick between dragging some NJU's and jumping in a car/van/some type of vehicle with a bunch of Clay fans, I know what I'd choose every time! It's a totally different experience.

Travel does seem to be the theme. I do think that we'll get a tour (personally hoping for July/August, lol) but he needs to do SOMEthing to sell tickets to more than just us and somehow needs to promote his music more.

I love that song for the low "go" but I also love it because that is the one that they changed up the most (well, tied with BW) from the original. When I played ATDW for my husband, that was the song that perked his ears up -- thought it an inspired arrangement. And I will never forget Clay walking on stage during the intro to that song. Truly lovely, IMO.
