I have ironed out the details of my NC trip in May. My daughter and I are going to drive as far as WV on the Monday, then continue on to Raleigh on the Tuesday. We have tickets for the Tuesday & Wednesday performances. Thursday we will hopefully visit with some NC friends and then head home Friday. My daughter has to be at work Saturday morning. I am hoping to get to gala in Charlotte this year but if I do it will be a whirlwind, fly in and fly out trip. I also have a skating event in October so I'm going to have to start saving if I want to be able to do both.....

Thanks, everyone. I've never been so frustrated in my life...I would start to feel a bit better, go back to work, just to have to leave again and take a few more days off sick. I think my superiors were starting to think I was scamming them. I went to the doctor twice before I could convince him that I wasn't going to get better on my own! Really, I think he just wanted rid of me and prescribed an antibiotic without diagnosing anything specific. I am feeling fairly human today, back at work, with just a bit of a stuffy nose and a lingering cough. But man! What a doozy that was. Sorry for anyone else who's been through it. And of course, it's been snowing off and on all day today with windchill sitting at about -9 C. Come on spring!!!

Happy Easter to all. I wasn't sure I was going to be up to cooking a big meal today but it's one of my better days so I went for it. I'm still dragging around almost 4 weeks after I first got this cold/flu/bronchial/sinus infection (whatever the heck it is!) but I finally got some antibiotics and am hopefully on the mend. So I'm still here, still reading, and enjoying the pictures.

The Worlds competition doesn't actually start until Wednesday. Here we get televised coverage everyday, but not sure in the US as NBC doesn't normally show that much. If you get Universal Sports you are in luck though! Today I am going out for dinner with 7 ladies who are in town for the week, and then we are heading downtown to watch the unveiling of the light and sound show, projected onto the side of the arena. Monday & Tuesday I'll be freezing my butt off at practices all day.

Congrats fear! I may be MIA this week as I'll be going crazy running back and forth to the World Figure Skating Championships here in town, and trying to do everything else I usually do (except go to work, yee haw, I have the week off!) If you are watching, I'm in 2nd row, so no doubt will be on TV again. Of course, I've caught a chest cold just in time, but I'm hoping to nip it in the bud by Monday.

Yesterday, one of the dogs had surgery, so we had to pick her up in the evening, and I ended up with a bunch of people staying for dinner. We did customs pizzas. So I started out listening at 7 pm, but I had so many things go on around me, and the sound (might just have been my laptop) was poor. The audio kept cutting in and out, and without headphones I wasn't really hearing it clearly. Because I had a houseful of people and stuff going on I eventually just shut it off. I am hoping that there will be a stream or a download so I can listen to it after-the-fact in a quieter time.

Thanks, guys. The World Championships are being held right here in London, ON this year starting on March 11, so I am getting geared up for that. They are doing a lot of publicity already, and yesterday they had World & Canadian Champion Patrick Chan right up the street at the mall for a meet & greet & autograph session. Tomorrow, they are holding an outdoor skate in the park with members of our National team, so I might dig out the old skates and attend that as well.
