  1. I went through the set list just to compare, and here are the songs and the years that they have been sung. I was just curious, since he's calling it a "best of" all of the previous tours. Other than Celebrate Me Home, which I would have loved to hear again, I am thrilled with his choices! All Is Well (2006,2007) Christmas Waltz (2004,2005,2006,2007) O Holy Night (2004,2005,2007) Away in a Manager/O Little Town of Bethlehem/Silent Night Medley (2007 with Quiana/Angela) Mary Did You Know (2004,2005,2006,2007) O Come O Come Emmanuel (2005 Jacob,2006,2007) Hark the Herald Angels Sing/Come All Ye Faithful (2004,2005,2006,2007) Welcome to Our World (2007) Most Wonderful Time of the Year/Sleigh Ride/Jingle Bells/Winter Wonderland Medley (2007) Merry Christmas with Love (2004,2005,2006,2007) What Are You Doing New Year's Eve (2004) First Noel (2004,2005,2006) I'll Be Home for Christmas (2004,2007) The Christmas Song (2004,2005,2006,2007) Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (2004,2005,2006,2007) My Grown Up Christmas List (2004 Quiana, 2005 Quiana, 2006,2007) Don't Save It All For Christmas Day (2004,2005,2006,2007) All Year Long (new)
  2. OMG I love that sexy face clip! Ha ha ha. I have been able to listen to the last two cellcerts and they were clear as a bell. Last night I had it over speakers at full volume while my daughter and I made some interesting Madagascar vanilla fruit salad thingy for her Travel & Tourism project. I love that it's not sounding under water this year. I could never handle those streams, I always end up turning them off. But to be able to hear the jokes & the banter is priceless! We've had snow on and off the last few days. Nothing accumulating too much so far, but my fingers are firmly crossed that we will be able to drive to our shows, starting in a couple of weeks. I will be heartbroken if we can't. I am spoiling myself silly, except for the first and last songs. I don't want to see the visual for the AIW opening, and I haven't even listened to the encore. I want there to be something completely new to look forward to.
  3. Run, don't walk, to watch the clack that is being uploaded. He is totally glowing, looks amazing, and sounds better than ever! I am going to leave myself unspoiled for All Year Long, but the rest, probaby not. I have no will power.
  4. I just woke up to Clay's tweet on my phone. Oh no. I worry that he is going to push himself to perform for the first few shows and end up sicker and having to cancel dates. I hope he takes care of himself and does what's best.
  5. Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans! Just a normal work day here. I'm loving all the pre-tour press and interviews. I have my mom coming out tomorrow for the weekend, so I'm not sure that I will be able to listen to the CV cellcert on Friday night, but I'm hoping I can. I don't have my first tickets to the show until Dec. 8th so there is no way I will stay unspoiled!
  6. I'll be at Shippensburg, Detroit and St. Charles. Can't wait! Glad to hear you are able to get to a couple of concerts, KarenEh.
  7. Wow, it's coming up quick! Can't wait to find out what he has in store for us this time around. I personally am hoping for something along the lines of the JNaT 2006!
  8. Well the Clay lunch in Toronto was pretty small yesterday, but it was good to see people again. Today we are having unseasonably warm temps so I took advantage and cleaned up the yard, pulled the rest of the beets & leeks, and bagged up some leaves. I am sure we'll have snow before long.
  9. I loved that pasta fundraiser last time! I wonder if there is anyone taking Canadian orders again? Today, I am off to a Cluncheon in Toronto with claymatron.
  10. I saw Clay's tweet last night about no announcement yet for the M&G winners. Does anyone know when it's supposed to happen? ETA never mind, the OFC says Nov 14th for Anaheim so I assume nothing will be announced until then.
  11. Hi from Skate Canada. Apparently, they tell me I don't smile enough when the cameras are down in our corner of the rink. LOL now I'm paranoid, and feel like I need to paste a perma-grin on. I am so happy to read that we are going to get the M&G's again! Yay! I was lucky last time, so maybe I'll get lucky again. It only took 8 years, so why not? Good luck to all who have never won!
  12. Hi all, we finally got home last night around 10 p.m. after almost 14 hours. It's about a 10 hour drive, and we stopped twice for sit down meals, plus there was a massive delay at the border, first on the US side with traffic being diverted to a different highway exit, and then going through the actual border crossing, with a huge back up of cars. I have slept very little this weekend, and as those I met know, I developed a pretty bad cold right before the gala, so I'm feeling pretty crappy today! I think I was running on adrenaline all weekend. Thank goodness I had the foresight to book today off as a holiday....I am not so sure I'll be seeing the inside of my office this week. I may have to work from home a couple of days, but on Thursday I am off to Windsor for Skate Canada. So I really need to rest and nip this thing in the bud. It was so great to see so many familiar faces in D.C.! It was like a big high school reunion at the gala itself. Even just walking around to see the sights, we were running into people we knew or recognized everywhere. We stayed at the Harrington Hotel, and we saw Sean & Ben checking in. We passed Faye a few times, and Diane Bubel as well. It was just so much fun to be a part of it all. I am so glad we made the trek. I wish we could have stayed a few days to properly see the city, but as we were joking all weekend, who knows where Clay will send us next. So sorry we missed the FCA dinner, but glad to have caught up with couchie, ldyjocelyn, jmh123 & FearOfH20 for a little while at the Marriott. I won't even attempt to list everyone I spoke with for fear of missing names, but it was great to see you all! Looking forward to seeing more familiar faces on the Christmas tour. Now, everyone please cross their fingers for no major snowfall until after it ends!
  13. Clay added a line at the end of The Real Me tonight. The way I heard it, it was "Beautiful, wonderful me, that's what you see". It just about killed me. ETA: after a few hours sleep, I still am in overload mode. So much Clay last night that just caught me off guard! The first half went by without much of Clay...he and Diane finally came out to announce an award recipient, and then Clay sang Because You Loved Me to us as a thank you for our support. The auction portion was fun and crazy with Clay and Arsenio, but very brief. There was music from Ruben & Debbie. I really can't remember the order of things, but Ruben sang wonderfully and Debbie...well, she shook her booty in very little clothing while making the attempt to sing. And then, like sex with no foreplay....Clay took over and launched into Everything I Dont Need with the aim to kill us all! He teased us by NOT singing the "well well" or "well now" part at all, and then proceeded to growl and wail his way through an extended version of the song, making words up occasionally when he screwed up. It didn't matter, his intent to make us scream was quite clear. When the first chord of Invisible sounded, I was transported back to concerts past, and was on my feet immediately, arms pumping. The suited gentlemen to my right were probably not sure what was going on. I missed last year's gala, so I was beside myself with excitement that he was going to give it to us again. Complete with every old nuance and shirt tug he could find a spot for. It was the stuff of dreams. Well, my dreams anyway, being a complete Invisible freak. It was like he was that young, make 'em scream 24 year old wide eyed kid, but now with a very knowing glint in this eye. Where did this killer attitude come from? This is the man who prefers ballads? Really? Clay and Ruben dialed things down a bit with a duet to Extreme's "More Than Words". This is one of my all time favorite songs, so I sat there in total shock, straining to hear Clay's harmonies. Ruben sang the melody beautifully, but I would have happily donated a sizable amount of money to have had them switch parts. Still, it was something I never thought I'd get to hear, so I was thrilled. Clay said something about feeling like he was back on Idol before launching into a full version of To Love Somebody. Did I mention he was in great voice? Omg!!! Lots of made up lyrics and laughter, but he went for all the high notes and nailed them. Completely amazing and fantastic performance. At one point in the show Debbie asked "does he ever miss a note?" to which we all giddily yelled "no!" Heh, it was true last night. The duet with Debbie was pretty, but only because of Clay. He sang it very high, with such a sappy sweet smile for her. It was her song so I didn't know it. She plays a mean piano, I'll give her that much. She also spoke quite eloquently during the NIP awards. But she really can't sing... Clay told us "2 more songs" before introducing Ruben again to sing his favorite song from Idol, Flying Without Wings. And then he said he always chooses a song each year to thank us with. He was very heartfelt and sincere. And then, after only 18 months of waiting, since we drove to Fort Wayne in the hopes of hearing it (but got fucking Misty instead), Clay made our dreams come true, and sang The Real Me. . It's a special song for my daughter, since she has some of the lyrics tattooed on her leg. It's also Cindilu2's favorite song. You could have heard a pin drop throughout, and it was perfect. And as I already mentioned, the last line killed me all over again. Yes Clay, you are wonderful and beautiful in our eyes. <3
  14. Hey from Walmart Hagerstown! Lol there are 4 of us, heading back to the hotel shortly to get some sleep. See y'all tomorrow!
  15. Nice hair, hope he wears it that way tomorrow! We are all assembling at my house by 10 a.m. for the drive to MD. We are stopping in Hagerstown tonight, and will hit D.C. in the morning. Can't wait to see everyone!
  16. I'm sure things will pick up with all the Clay we will get between now and the New Year! Heh, EEEEEEE first page! :)
