  1. I want a picture of Clay and Reed too and I think we will eventually get one, but I also think we may have to be a little patient. If you think about it, last night was a really big deal for Clay. Heck the last several months have been a big deal for him! But last night was the first time he has gone with Reed (and just the two of them plus Jerome, not Clay's usual entourage) to an event together that he knew the fans and general public would hear about. And as much as I am sure he is comfortable with Reed and being with him around friends and people in the industry, the fans and general public are something else all together. Clay has come a long way in the last few months. I can't help but think what a sweet and patient guy Reed is to have given Clay the space and time to get to this place on his own schedule. I also think Reed making a new public myspace page where Clay's fans can join his friends list while maintaining his original one as private for friends and family speaks volumes about how what's important to Clay (in this case his fans) is also important to Reed. We all know Clay is a private person but he has also always shared bits and pieces of his personal life and his personal self with us, when he is ready and comfortable doing so. So as much as I would love to see a posed photo of them together, I also want it to be when Clay wants to share that with us. And in time, I think he will.

Now on a more selfish note, perhaps some candids from the after party will eventually turn up because while I want to give Clay his space I really want to see this outfit he was wearing. Professor Aiken and glasses??? just kill me now!

  2. I knew what LNM was but not BM

Really I can only probably afford to go to one concert & that is only if it is close to me. So if Clay does a summer tour & a Christmas tour both with an orchestra I guess I would choose the Christmas one.

My niece & nephew official lost their April vacation this week. Too many snow days :( so they won't be able to come to visit that week like we planned.

I never ever get tired of hearing Invisible. That's my niece's all time favorite Clay song. Mine is I survived You.

It was BW which is Broken Wings. I love the sound of that one, so it would be very cool to hear live!

I am sorry your niece and nephew lost their April vacation. That must be hard for the kids.

  3. Of course I will be happy with whatever Clay decides to do! But if given a choice I would prefer a band. I am thinking a fun tour with lots of energy like the JBT was and I don't feel that as much with an orchestra. I know the classics and TV medley were like that, but overall I think a band would be better for songs like Ashes, EIDN and Falling. And I would love some smart ass Clay banter!!! Hoping for something that is pure fun where you can laugh and dance and act like a fool if you want to! hee

Oh, and for some reason I'd love to hear Invisible again!

  4. Add me to the list of people who want a tour! I would like a few months to pay off some bills and take care of some real life stuff first, but I am pretty much there for whatever Clay wants to do and whenever he wants to do it!

Maybe its cause I was in high school in the late 80s, but I happen to think eyeliner on a guy can be really sexy looking.... but truth be told I think Clay looks good no matter what, from all spiffed up to a wrinkled mess, the man is just so adorable. And I happen to love his quirks!

gbmifan - I have had those injections so I know exactly what you mean!

    Smitten - Just WORD!

  5. I don't think Reed would be approving requests from Clay Fans to join his friends list if it bothered him all that much.

As far as staring at Reed it was a little hard for me not to! He was walking the opposite direction of me up the aisle as I was walking down. I wasn't paying any attention until he was like inches from my face! I was looking down and then looked up and SMACK Reed Kelly was right there in front of me! LMAO! I tried to be cool, smiled and just kept walking. But damn his eyes are seriously intense and the whole thing kinda threw me off for a few seconds. LOL

I don't care if he and Clay are a couple or just friends. Its just so great to see Clay happy and surrounded by people who care about him, no matter what the specifics of the relationship are.

  6. Regarding Juniors...

In May, the burger & onion rings were fabulous and the plain cheesecake was good but not necessarily something I would rave about. When I went in November, I skipped the cheesecake but ordered the burger & onion rings cause I remember them being good; that time the burger was okay but the onion rings not so much and in fact they were quite doughy and nasty. For the last show trip I skipped the meal and had the raspberry swirl cheesecake which was to die for. So I am guessing maybe it depends on who is preparing the food that day! lol

IMO the draw of Juniors is because its so close to Shubert and the atmosphere there is fun (esp. when its crawling with fans), not because its the best food you've ever had.

  7. Fear; That is the same problem I have...can't run my virus scans because they stop halfway through...tried safe mode, but my virus scans won't run in safe mode. So, I hesitate to download anything else if it won't finish scanning. Talked to a friend last night who has a computer whiz for a son and he is going to come over and see what he can do...may have to re-format the whole computer.

I know that sometimes it seems like a pain to reformat your computer, but honestly, it's usually the best thing you can do when you have viruses that won't be "healed". It's one good reason to keep all your data, and also your install files for any downloaded software, etc, backed up on external drives, or on data DVDs.

I so agree! Clack does not live on my local hard drive only on externals. In fact, a while back when we had a couple of houses nearby getting robbed so when I left the house I took all my external hard drives and hid them in places where things would not seem of value to a robber, like in between clothes in a laundry basket, under the bathroom sink with the toilet paper and the small portable ones I hid behind my shoes in my shoe rack. What?!?! That stuff is precious cargo! hee

  8. For those having trouble with spyware, malware and trojans, I highly suggest Spybot Search & Destroy available at http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html in addition to whatever virus software you use. Its a free program and I think its one of the best out there. I get tons of spyware due to surfing and this always cleans up the mess.

Shoot our office email server is down so I gotta restart things... back in a while to finish what I wanted to say...

  9. This might be sacrilege but is anyone going to any other shows while there? Everything seems cheap. Has anyone seen Alter Boys?

    :ruserious:

I just couldn't bring myself to do it! I knew I would be miserable thinking I was missing a Clay performance so I am just going to see Spamalot. hee

annabear - So glad you are going with georgiesmybaby!

  10. Hi Everyone, Sorry I missed the holidays. I have been down really sick for a week. I was fine last weekend and then BAM late Sunday night got hit by a horrible flu followed by a sinus infection (I am prone to them; this is my 2nd or 3rd this year but definitely the worst). In the words of Mr. Aiken, I thought I was gonna die!!! Well maybe not, but I sure did feel like total crap. I spend Christmas watching a House marathon and eating popsicles and then went to the doctor yesterday and got some antibiotics. (I love Augmentin) So I am finally starting to feel a bit alive today although my voice is totally shot. My cats can't figure it out. lol Hoping now that I have the antibiotics I will get better quickly cause I gotta be well to see Clay next weekend!

I am massively behind but wanted to wish everyone a belated Merry Christmas. Hope your holidays were filled with friends, family and love.

  11. Add me to the list of those having trouble finding the Christmas spirit without a JNT... been saying this for two weeks but it just does not seem like Christmas without Clay. I can't decide if past JNT clack makes it better or worse. I know this is horrible to say (since its not even Christmas yet) but in many ways I am ready for it to all be over with. LOL!

BUT-- I am looking forward to a few extra days off work around the holidays so no complaints there!

Just LOVED reading vanislandgirl's recap. What a great experience for her!

  12. Thanks for all the suggestions! Fear, that salad deal sounds really good, and I'm thinking that I may be able to convince my husband to have the sushi (because we can't get sushi around here).

Are we on a new page yet? This is for annabear, and me too -- he looks so adorable in this picture, I can't stop looking at it...

Oh, definitely add ME to that list of admirers of this particular pic of Clay...it's right up there with my faves of all time.

Clay is absolutely gorgeous in this photo! He radiates happiness and looks so relaxed and comfortable. I just love it!!!
