  1. Some posts are general and some do say things if you read between the lines. But I think its very much the fans way of telling Clay that when he is ready to be public about a relationship, he does not have to be afraid of reactions because we are happy for him. So whether Clay and Reed are together or not, I hope this thread can ease any fears he may have about it.

  2. We're here! Actually have been for a couple of hours, but we couldn't get the damned internet to work worth a....damn.......until now. So far, I'm pretty impressed by this hotel in Queens. They have a free shuttle to and from the airport, the room is clean and spacious by NYC standards, and when I complained about the connection, they did something to fix it. Now to drag my son out to dinner......seriously, he wants to stay here and order room service. Ugh. Have umbrella, will travel, right? :cryingwlaughter:

Will be seeing Clay from the 2nd row tonight, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Have a great time!!!! Show Clay the love!

  3. Welcome claylaughs (a.k.a. Smitten)! You should go ahead and post, not lurk. This is a cool board.

I thought this was interesting! Clay was more searched than Facebook! (Which by the way its tons of fun so if anyone is on Facebook and not on my friends list please tell me so I can add you)

The Lycos 50 Top 10 Search Terms for 2008

    7. Clay Aiken

<snip> However, when it comes to leading men online, film stars can't compare to singer Clay Aiken who takes home top honors as the most-searched man in 2008 for the 3rd consecutive year, driven by headlines of Aiken coming out publicly about his sexuality, and being a new Dad.<snip>

I did not know about xxx4clay. Sending positive thoughts and prayers her way.

  4. All I really know is that yesterday I was down in the dumps cause it just didn't seem like Christmas without Clay and the JNT. But today, truth or speculation, it has been fun. Its been so nice to know Clay was all over the tabloid sites and not be totally depressed and upset about it. What I said this morning still stands for me, I want Clay to feel comfortable to be who he is and true or not the tabloid/blog reaction indicates we are getting closer to that, and this alone makes me happy.

By the way, I captured this for anyone who wants to save it in their files:

Loved hearing him sing MCWL if only on an ecard!

  5. I for one am delighted that Clay is in a relationship. Not sure how many of you feel about the entire coming out, but I think that Clay appears to be so much happier and so confident with himself; even more than he already was.

I say good for him. If he's happy then that is all that matters to me.

I cannot agree with you more. :14:

Me too! I just want for Clay to be happy and loved by someone who appreciates him for the wonderful guy that he is.

I am torn about this Star thing and any other press attention. On one hand I know that Clay is a private person and even though he has come out, I don't know that he wants his private life splashed all over the press. However, if they did indeed go to the Rosie's Kids thing together then Clay knows it would be a possibly. Maybe he doesn't care and if so good for him! On the other hand, I think its good for him to be seen with people at public events even if its just casual dating or just friendship, if for no other reason than to present a public image of a typical gay guy not as weird or strange as he has battled in the past. Clay is in the public eye and for that reason his personal life may never be entirely private and that is something I think he has come to understand and to be okay with to a certain degree. Moreso as much as I do not want to chase off fans, there are some people in the fandom (at least at the OFC) who seem okay with him being gay so long as he doesn't act it or talk about it. I have a problem with that because its just not fair to him. It was his right to self-identify when he didn't say he was gay just as its now his right to self-identify that he is gay. And he should not temper anything about himself in that regard just to make others more "comfortable" IMO. I have always loved him for who he is and that will never change. I want him to be free to be who he is and feel comfortable to be himself.

  6. Berkeley's post was awesome. Thanks for pointing it out! I think Clay's response to "the news" mention in interviews is really just his way of saying his sexuality shouldn't be considered news in the first place. He does not define himself by his sexuality and doesn't want others to define him by it either. It may be part of who Clay is but its not all that Clay is. I just wish some people would see that.

  7. There are people I have stopped associating with because of their reactions and things they have said about Clay. There are many individuals on the boards that I do not respect or appreciate. There may very well be fractures in the internet fandom, but we have had those before too. The point is none of that will ever change how I feel about Clay or what he means to me. I don't need to agree with the people on the message boards to be a fan of Clay; I only need him.

And for the record, I may have been here since Day 1 but dang it, I am not a moldy oldie! *stomps foot* hee j/k

PS. I don't mean this board. I like it here :)

  8. Okay, wth is everybody? I'm in a crappy mood right now so feel free to scroll. I just got an email from one of those ex-Clay fans explaining to me all about how they cannot condone Clay's behavior, blah blah blah. How do they excuse theirs, is what I want to know. And no, I'm not patient like Clay so my response was not pleasant. Been reading too many idiot posts on political boards from anti-gay and anti-gay marriage people and it has put me in a foul mood.

I'd tell the bitch to bugger off. I'm sick to death of the anti-gay bigoted bullshit. I had my fill of it prior to the election when we were bombarded with hate ads for Proposition 8. My one consolation with Clay's ex-fans is that they are no loss.

(God, I'm so glad I didn't promise to give up swearing!)

I just wanna chime in on this. Its been a real struggle for me too and quite an eye opener as well. I have a few "friends" who I once thought did love Clay for who he is, but now judge him or "love him differently" whatever the heck that means. Well, its their loss because Clay is the kindest man with the biggest heart and I pity anyone who has thrown that away for no good reason. I just don't have time for that kind of ignorance in my life. I love Clay. Period. No strings.

  9. claylove, that cap is awesome -the best I've seen. Can I ask what software you use? (PM me if you don't mind!)

Thanks! I just did the cap pausing the video and using print screen & paste into Photoshop Elements, but I also have this program that filters noise better than anything I have ever seen and its actually free. The name of it escapes me at the moment, but I will post it later tonight. It really cleans up photos well.

  10. Happy Friday!

Sorry I have been MIA. Work and real life has been cutting into my Clay life and I don't like it! hee

Anyway, love the banner and loved pic of Clay, Jaymes and Parker on Dr. Phil. In fact, I did another screen shot and cleaned up the photo some so thought I would share in case anyone wants another version of it. Parker is so adorable. He is the most mesmerizing baby I have ever seen. He must get that from his Daddy, who is pretty mesmerizing himself! Here it is:

So glad its Friday. Have a major thing at work today and once that is over the weekend is mine. YAY!!

    Have a great day everyone.

  11. Well, supposedly Clay's name is no longer on the RCA artist page. RCA Artists Webpage

It took a long time for that page to load for me, so that's why I wrote "supposedly"; however, I now have the page open and

Yep--no Clay Aiken in the alphabetical list.

Guess lots of people got their wish re: evil RCA. RCA and Clay are no longer strange bedfellows.

    heh.

Surely that can't be the total list of their artists...the list is so short. Where are the rest of them?

If you go to RCA Home page You will find Clay there under New Releases.

WOW! This is really interesting that he is under new releases but not artists because there are people on that artist list who's most-recent release are well before Clay's. Makes you wonder what is going on....

Muski... so sorry things didn't work out quite as planned and I hope you get your credit card back. sounds like you have had quite an adventure!

Couchie... I have also had luck using Gold Bold for insect bites on burns (because it has an ingredient that is cooling) and also the Neosporin Cream with pain relief. That stuff has got me thru a number of bad cuts and minor burns.

OMG that photo is BEAUTIFUL!!!! :-)
