  1. Well.... I hadn't "found" the fandom yet when MOAM came out, so I went to Walmart at 6:30 am and bought the CD, then proceeded to listen to it on my way to work. I listened to like 30 seconds of each song because I couldn't wait to hear them all! LOL Then, once I went thru the whole thing, I listened to each song in its entirety over and over again throughout my workday, and on the way home, and when I was going to sleep... I know REALLY LAME huh????? But it was special to me. *g*

  2. Fear, I have picked out my outfit - but now I'm afraid I'm gonna be :freezing:

    post-1474-1223992192_thumb.jpg

    Ack!

I may turn a nice shade of blue - but that's not gonna look too good with my turquoise dress!

    ETA:

Wish I could go see SPAM one more time!

Are you staying at the Marriott? If so, I would not worry at all about the temperature. You won't even have to go outside! And even if you have to go outside I don't think it will be all that bad. In fact, I am sure it will be QUITE WARM inside the gala. hee

It was in the low 50s this AM when I left for work wearing capris, a short sleeve top and sandals, and I was quite comfortable. Of course after the hot humid summer I love the cooler temps!

  3. Back from the oral surgeon; it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I opted for novacaine rather than general anathesia and I am glad I did. I am still numb and sitting here eating some applesauce. Already popped three motrin; they said to take them before the novacaine wore off. So, not feel too bad right now...actually the corner of my mouth is sore from them having to stretch it to get into my mouth...I have a very small mouth and it is very difficult to get instruments back there, so they had to take the tooth out in pieces. Bad news is they took x-rays and discovered an impacted wisdom tooth that may have to come out at some point. But at least now, I know what to look forward to.

Going to finish my applesauce and get a cold pack for my face.

    Kim

Glad you are OK. I have that same small mouth problem so I totally understand what you mean about that! Get some rest.

  4. I bought the candycorn kisses. They are okay but I still prefer the original candycorn.
I bought some the other day too. I'm disappointed because they don't taste like candy corn at all to me, just white chocolate. The Honeycrisp apples, on the other hand, have so far been DELICIOUS!

ETA: Wish me luck - I'm off to sign my life and bank account away for my new condo! I'm :D and  at the same time...

I am probably gonna look like an idiot, but what is a honeycrisp apple????

  5. It's been a real eye opener about some fans to say the least. Many people have fantasies and I think that is a perfectly healthy thing. However, some of these fans seem to have crossed their fantasies with the real world and have consequentially become delusional. And when real life destroyed that delusion, their world came crashing down around them. Its really sad if you think about it. And also scary.

  6. J4Clay at the OFC is a serious attention whore for sure and I am also sick of it. She reminds me of when a super skinny person is constantly saying how fat they are, just so you will say they aren't. I wish people would stop taking the bait because its really sickening how many people she is trying to manipulate...

Just so I'm clear (if this is indeed the person who is advertising their seat). It was okay with God that she go to see (and laud) an irreverent play that also includes a rather ringing endorsement for homosexuality, as long as Clay wasn't gay. And now that he is, and she can't support him any longer it's okay to go one last time. I guess that's a different God - the one who could misplace a cup? Not the one whose sending Clay to hell? Allrighty then. I guess that's also the same God who will forgive her lusting after a stranger half her age all over the internet for years (because she didn't, you know, engage in the physical act), and will also forgive Clay being gay as long as he never actually engages in the physical act of love? It must be a pretty, pretty sky in the world these people live in.

LMAO!!!! You know what is SO FUNNY about that?????? She is the one who has accused many of picking and choosing which "rules" from the bible to follow or ignore in order to suit their own personal interests. pot kettle black much????

People.com... I think Clay is going to get a lot of respect for not falling on his knees to apologize but instead confidently stating, he is not defined only by his sexuality, that he is the same person and nothing has changed. I admire him so much for that.

  7. Gala folks -

While pondering a get together Sunday after the gala, Armadillo Grill would not have brunch food, more "Amer-exican" tacos, burritos and the like so it'd be more like lunch food. Its pretty affordable though and if enough people have cars we could carpool over there from the hotel. Its an order at the counter type of place as well. I love their cheese sauce on the nachos!!! For sight seeing, I think there is a menu on the wall that Clay signed too. hee

fromclaygary will also post some hotel brunch info (I think) for consideration.

Oh and all the comments about the support thread -- just a big ole WORD! Nuff said. Won't let that crap spoil my joy anymore.

    I simply adore him!!!

  8. I was awake last night when he blogged, so I left a text message for a friend thinking she would receive it first thing this morning. But no, I woke her at 2AM. Don't you think everyone should have a friend like me? :whistling-1: Ooops... sorry Cheri. I *think* that she still loves me. Well, maybe. :F_05BL17blowkiss:

Just for the record... I am GLAD that you woke me up! Never to hesitate waking me when Clay blogs! hee

    Armadillo Grill.

    Just sayin'

    :lilredani:

ya think???? I thought that was an awfully far walk for people who don't have a car???

  9. Ummmm... Fear...I had arranged a ride back to Greensboro after the Gala, but the person is leaving very early Sunday morning. If you stay for the brunch, could I bum a ride back with you? I would love to get together with everyone.

If you're staying overnight, I can take you back the next day....would love to have the time to spend with you at the brunch! I have to change hotels Sunday, and pick up the rental vehicle but you could stay at the hotel while I do that.

ETA: it's MONday I'm changing hotels  ....so, if you want to stay over Sunday night?...or, go back with fear  In any case, we'll get you home.

I look forward to hearing what you found out because the more I think about what is around, the more I think the hotel is our best option for a brunch. I really love the idea of getting together! :00000441:

From Claygary and Fear... thx so much for helping georgiesmybaby with the transportation! I would be so sad if she could not come!

  10. Hi this is Cheri aka Claylove.... heard I was referenced here! lol j/k I am local so I would be glad to help plan/coordinate a brunch on Sunday if you like. I haven't posted here much (if at all) but think maybe its time I check it out!

Are you the Claylove that helped plan the JNT05 Oakland show? If so I still have your raffle tickets.... somewhere around here. :cryingwlaughter:

The one in the same! I used to live in Northern California. And no worries about the raffle tickets. lmao

Let me think on the restaurant thing. I work downtown and I am pretty familiar with the options but mostly for lunch. I also want to see what is in walking distance from the Mariott. The hotel may very well be the best option.

I am going out in just a few to shop for gala dresses so I will post back later on.

  11. It's not just you, and I believe it's deliberate~AND the right thing to do. Re a place~I'm sure the hotel will have a restaurant....would that work? Often the Marriotts have a buffet brunch; don't know if this one does offhand but I'm sure I could find out.

And/Or I can check with Cheri if you like, and you check with Donna...

Also--have a friend who needs to sell a gala tix so yes if there is interest it can most likely be done!

As for how I feel about Clay and his blog -- I simply adore him!!!

    Much love :-)

  12. Okay I admit I joined about a month ago and I have posted very little, but I know I posted in a TBAF forum and now for the life of me I cannot even find where that is. Was it moved?? Can somebody help me please? Am I losing mind or what?

Oh and I read someone had put all their clack for the month into a folder to easily burn a DVD?? Oh, I am so guilty of this! I have a folder on my ClayDrive (yep that is the external drive I bought just for you know who) and in there a ClayTV folder, and it that a folder for each month of 2004 and 2005 with all the appearances on TV and such. It makes burning chronological DVDs sooooo much easier! Oh and if ya wondered I've also got the concert clack and special events clack organized in similar ways. What can I say?? I am an organizer and planner. So be it!

  13. Hello There - I am new here. Actually I was asked to stop by and provide some info in the TBAF forum but I figured I might as well come by the main thread and say hello to everyone here too! So I have been lurking a bit today and this seems like a nice and friendly board you have here. So glad to hear you are loving the JBT as much as I have. It never gets old. I was lucky enough to do some travelling and I caught ten shows, but would have gone to every single one if I could have. I was still sad that I missed New Hampshire, because I just adore Clay in glasses. (I am sorry that he scratched his eye in Toronto though). Of course now that I have burned up a bunch of my vacation time with this tour, I am guessing I will only be able to catch a few Christmas shows.... isn't it terrible when real life interfers with Clay time?????

Well I will stop by and chat some more another day. I am loving Tears Run Dry. The Boston version was fantastic and I want to go burn a mp3 so I can listen in the car tomorrow.

    Glad to meet everyone!

  14. Yes, I will regularly check here for questions. We are starting to recruit for volunteers in September. I have a message into the Project Coordinator to see exactly who to contact if you want to volunteer (just to be sure its the same as last year). I will let you know as I receive a response.

As for supplies, that would depend on the needs of your geographic location. Some cities have merchants that provide wrapping supplies (such as Borders) and others need to provide everything. So you'd need to ask your state coordinator about that.

Each state has a state coordinator, then we have several city team leaders (CTL) within each state. The CTLs schedule wrapping booths, coordinate volunteers and oversee the wrapping project as a whole.

If you let me know where you live, I can probably be more specific or point you to the person in charge of your area. Just send me a PM with your info and email address.

    Thanks!

  15. Hello There -

My name is Cheri and I am a state coordinator (volunteer) for TBAF. I was asked to come by and talk to you all about TBAF and Wrapping For Inclusion, which I am thrilled to do. I am not sure what you know and what you don't. So if you ask questions or give me an idea of what you would like me to cover, that would be great.

Wrapping for Inclusion is just now getting going. State Coordinators will be working with existing and new City Team Leaders to schedule wrapping locations and recruiting volunteers. We've kind of held off since everyone is travelling for the JBT but I suspect local efforts will get going in the coming weeks. At least, I am about to delve into it myself!

Also, just for your clarification, Fran Skinner Lewis is no longer with TBAF in any capacity, advisory or otherwise. She has returned full time to her private law practice and has no association with TBAF.

So post away your questions! I am here to help.

    Claylove,

    ~Cheri

P.S. I have heard that Jaymes told someone we would have Christmas Tour dates in the next few weeks. Hopefully this is true so we can plan wrap dates around the concerts!
