  1. I forgot 2 things in my earlier post. I'm sorry to post ho...

    :Iluvclaysbutt:

    and

    :elephanthugs: , FCA.

    Scarlett,

I was going to ask if that sign actually says something...but in quoting it, I see that it's called : Iluvclaysbutt:, so..... is that what it really says, lol?

canfly, that's what we intended but the Mandarin word we used implies something more ardent. It's more like "completely adore" instead of "luv".

  2. I like both pictures, but I voted for #1 because I've never seen it before, and I'm a pushover for a vulnerable look on a man's face.

keepingfaith, I dragged this quote over from the contest thread, just for a good excuse to post some of the other photos from that same time. They are among my all-time favs!

(I'm sure a certain beverage container stopper will appreciate this one as well)

    Thudclay.jpg

Well dang, there's one more, but it seems to have escaped my photobucket. I'll be back...

    Okay more than one more.

And these are the ones I was really looking for. How adorable is he?

I saaaawoooon for the EXTREME adorableness in all those pictures. First time I've seen them, and the two with him standing on the sides of his shoes are MACRO adorable head to toe. THANKS!!!

Thank you so much for the beautiful pictures!!! :BlowKiss: Can I just block-vote for these already?!!! Could never resist his expressive look. I just ::heart:: the guy so much!!!

Sending lots of huge bearhugs to all who need them especially merrieeee, gmb and anna!!! I hope things start looking up for you v. soon (our soon)!!!

It's a fine sunny day outside. I hope the weather is also nice wherever the sweet birthday celebrant is spending his special day!!!

    :GA_FCA:

  3. {{{{{merrieeee}}}}} :hugs-1:

Permaswooned!!! Glad to see you posting! I need to talk to you because we had an unfinished project last year -- an inspirational book to inform others about Unicef, with links that lead to the official site. If you have some time, I would like to get the pages you designed up and published. If anyone else has some pages to add to the book and/or further ideas, please post them on the thread that the mods created for us. Couchie & luckiest, are you still ok with hosting the pages here?

Oh my goodness, it's after midnight...

    ETA:

    HBD, Sweet P!!! (tm: FromClaygary)

    :happybirthday02:

  4. This was my first difficult match because I love glasses Clay but the first picture represents that gorgeous calendar -- why didn't we ever get another one? What to do? What to do?!!!

(and no I'm not creating another ID, I'll always be Scarlett)

*sighs and goes eeny, meeny, miny, moe...*

  5. Yanno, it's also possible that his 'looking forward to a big week' was meant for the post he posted it in. As in looking forward to a big week of new questions from us.

    :cryingwlaughter:

I couldn't find the smack emoticon that they have at CV so this will have to do (not that I can find it at CV either)

    :mallet:

    Wut?

    :bolt:

    May I be of assistance?

    smack.gif:smack:

I have lots of other abusive type emotes in my arsenal:

    baseballbat.gif

    flyswatter.gif

    shoot.gif

    spankin.gif

    bitchslap2.gif

    kickedoutsmile.gif

    wheehit.gif

    7.gif

    catfight.gif

Any of those work for ya GDG?

I have a few pages to catch up on....

Thanks, as anyone who knows me, I can never find the emoticon that I need. The only reason I find the laughing one is cause it's at the top. I would have been less violent if I had known I just had to type in :smack: but then again, by the time I need it next time, I will have forgotten.

AND cindilu2 you know wut. *sigh* obviously my :smack: doesn't work. Probably since I don't have a photobucket to pull from hmmm smack.gif heee now I'm a thief.

I'm usually v. appreciative of emoticons but you guys are giving Solo too many ideas. How about if one of you sits next to her at the next show/concert/thing-that-has-not-YET-been-announced?

  6. lilyshine, I didn't see your post before I added mine (sorry about that) but yes, ITA with this:

It doesn't matter what the photo is called or where it is put as long as it is tagged in lots of different ways.

And we probably need to assign a new unique id to all the items, so we'll know exactly what we're talking about

as we work on them and so that we can match up the "tags" entered by multiple people correctly.

  7. ldyj, yes, the dimensions (types of tags and their values) are the most important parts.

One way to think about it is as a spreadsheet with

Column A: a link to the actual piece of clack

Column B: Date the picture was taken or date of the event

Column C: City where it was held

Column D: State where it was held

Column E: Country where it was held

Colunn F: Event name (eg. so that we can find all the AI appearances)

Column G: Network (eg. so that we can find all the ones from ABC or CBS -- if this is relevant to us)

Column G: Song that was being sung

Column H: Event Sponsor or Coordinator (eg. Unicef )

Column I: Song he was singing, if any (eg. so that we could find all versions of a particular song)

Column J: Other performers (this is a link to another multi-level spreadsheet because we want

the people searchable individually so that we can find the time

he sang with Ruben or was in a group performance with Julia)

    Column K: Glasses (y/n)

    Column L: Stubble (y/n)

    Column M: Sideburns (y/n)

Column L: Footwear (Boots, sandals, none, .... --- the values we predefine are important)

Column M: Shirt color type (solid/striped/plaid/other)

Column M: Shirt color type subgroup

(if solid red/blue/brown/etc, if striped, stripe pattern 1-500,

    if plaid, plaid pattern 1-500)

Column N: Sleeve length (long sleeves, short sleeves, no sleeves -- do we have one?)

Column O: Approximate number of layers

    Column P: Hair color

Column Q: Hair length (someone who specializes in hair needs to name the categories)

    Column S: Hair style nickname

    Column T: Outfit nickname

    ...

    Column ZZZ:

These are just samples -- I don't know what the final list will be but the column headings

and the allowed values are the important parts.

We're limited by the effort and energy we can put into the classification system.

Is a column worth updating for every piece of clack? Each column or dimension needs

dedicated people to maintain it and keep it up to date.

As long as we have persons who will commit to a category, regardless of weight or significance

-- eg. any volunteers for Column Z: tongue (y/n -- or better yet amount shown: tippy tippy tip,

tippy tip, tip, a small bit, oh about half, quite a lot, see the tonsils!)

So, we need people to suggest "column headings", discrete values for them, and we need volunteers

to classify "columns" . Please don't feel constrained by the use of "columns" -- this is

just a way to illustrate what we want. The "columns" for co-performers, for instance, will not

    be a simple column.

  8. :thankyou: Thanks for all the ideas!!! The nice thing about digital cataloging (as opposed to physical cards) is that we can catalog by many methods all at once.

The way we store things physically does not have to be the way they will viewed -- I know this is the way the vaults work right now but that's because we did not put additional indexing on the clips. (Another project is to create the same categories for videos and just use links to the real vaults -- eg. an aggregated web page with all the clips from CH/CV/CU listed by date for instance, or by hair color if we so choose)

So, please keep the ideas coming! It doesn't have to be just one.
