  1. EEEEEEE! for Couch Tomato and bonniemeadow having such a great time at Oakland! [bottlecap adds to her To Do List: Write "I am not at all jealous of the JNT05 concert goers" 500 times.] The Clack is so wonderful this time around. How can that man look so beautiful, ethereal, and positively otherworldly when he sings "Good News"? Quiana, Jacob, and Angela's harmonies are so lovely. I can't image seeing it live, and not breaking down into tears. Sniff. After watching other Clack, I have added a couple of new Clay moves to my repertoire. Besides the signature shirt tug and the vintage jacket flip, I am trying to perfect the "Flipping the Horse's Reins" wrist thing. Right now, I think I would be lucky to get the horse to even move, much less break into a festive trot. I am also trying to get the DSIAFCD "Oh, Yeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh" knee bend thing down, but I need to study the footage a little more to get the proper angle to put my feet. Good thing there aren't security cameras in the elevators at my office. Luckily, Clay's moves are a little easier to replicate than Beyonce's. I have never been able to master the booty shake - I think I lack the appropriate flexibility in my lower back. Maybe that was TMI? ______________________ eta: I'm dyin' here. Checked ATCA for spot's Oakland "Christmas Serenade" video [What. I hadn't watched that part of the show yet, and I was reading that that particular version was very picturesque.] Anyway, how evil is she to label a clip "WhippingItOut"? ChokeSnortCough
  2. More album talk from Jam Showbiz, but not much new. Clay is still refuses to commit to a time frame for the release, and seems to indicate he will not be doing any writing. Could you try to be a little more vague, dude? An excerpt: In other news, yeah for our Joyful Noise Oakland peeps, Couch Tomato and bonniemeadow. You guys have a blast tonight! Ansa, thanks for the cellcert updates. I can't follow along live until the tour moves back east into my timezone, but I do read your recaps first thing in the morning.
  3. Hee, LuvTugs and Clayton-in-the-White-Suit sittin’ in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g…. Clay’s snowball hits LuvTugs, and she very convincingly starts to cry. When he comes over to comfort him, she yells: “Sucker!”, and grabs his scarf and takes off running. Clay has almost caught up to LuvTugs when she hears: “Hey, where’s the remote?” LuvTugs lets out a low growl, and considers burning Senior Master Sgt. Tugs’ dinner…. Clay, now on the run from an angry and jealous Mr. LuvTugs, stumbles into a clearing in the forest, and up to the isolated cabin located there. It is actually a science station, where bottlecap is researching the very rare and almost unknown North American woodland penguin. bottlecap is intrigued by the pale stranger with the spiky hair and well-fitted jeans. She sends him out into the forest to collect greenery to decorate the cabin for the holidays while she bakes cookies. As she is pulling the first batch of buttery, cinnamon sprinkled snickerdoodles out of the oven, she hears a most beautiful sound. “Pleaseeeeee, celebrate me home…”. It is the luminous stranger, returning to the cabin with a huge pine branch over his shoulder. Just as bottlecap’s heart is about to burst out of her chest, she hears the lovely Canadian-accented tones of Ansa’s voice asking: “Is there going to be any content to this post, or am I going to have to start banning people, eh?” bottlecap heaves a heavy sigh, and scurries off to check Lycos. Maybe there be an article where Clay threatens to record a number of Romanian waltzes…
  4. I've just seen a few pictures from Eugene so far, but I like the white outfits, and the striped socks are cracking me up. Just as long as they don't get too creative, and end up wearing red or bright green outfits at some point - that would really be over the top! Also, I am irrationally in love with the five buttons on each sleeve of the long DSIAFCD jacket. Details like that just reek of expensive hand-tailoring. Nothing like a man in a cutom-made suit to draw a woman's interest...... So, Couch Tomato and bonniemeadow, are you guys getting excited about Oakland yet? Are you running around in little circles and squealing to youselves? Remember, I want to hear all the details, from a description of the merchandise tables to waving at the buses. I'm living vicariously through you guys for this tour!
  5. I'm sure Skatejoy will certainly require some assistance from Security in applying that Clay-mandated black tape. And if she accidently got stuck to Jerome, and had to spend the concert with his arm around her - well I'm sure she would be willing to "take one for the team" if it was necessary. Ansa, the Aiken is certainly like an onion, isn't he; with unexpected layers appearing all the time. Who knows what secrects are tucked away in that magic laptop. [The computer people - not Waldo!] I have spent some time listening to the mp3s of the first half of the show this afternoon. His voice is so rich and warm on those songs. Clay may claim not to be a particularly sad or angsty person, but he can certainly convey a very real sense of longing and loneliness in "Celebrate Me Home". The "Please's" alone are enough to break your heart. I also had a thought this afternoon - this might actually be the last tour where it primarily is "just us". If the next album is as good as we hope for, and Clay gets the promotion he deserves, who knows where he will be by this time next year?
  6. ....and your blinking "I (Heart) Jerome" tiara. Between that, your big honking camera lenses, and your cohort buzztechie, who I picture wearing one or two (cough*hundred*cough) Finding Clay Aiken Good News pins, you should be quite eye-catching. So, if you are trying to remain unspoilered, I should probably not go on and on about how transcendently beautiful the religious music from the second half of the show is. I am almost afraid to watch the video, which has been oh so slowly downloading from ATCA to my hard drive. (Everyone in the Clay Nation must be hitting at the site at the same time - it is slower than molasses in winter.) Is it possible to wear out one's Window Media Player? 4 albums worth of material - I feel like I got that already this year, with all the music from the JBT and now the JNT05. I may have to look into buying CD-Rs by the pallet-load to keep up with my burning needs. [Yikes, that sounds like something that should be treated with a heavy-duty dose of antibiotics!]
  7. More album talk in the Register-Guard: Dude, make up your mind! I have penguins to costume over here, and I need you to pick a theme and stick to it!
  8. I KNOW! [tm Monica Geller] To tell you the truth though, I was never able to get the penguins to do much besides waddle around in circles, so the style and tempo of the music doesn't matter so much. Now the problem is what to do with twenty tiny herring-scented accordians. Is it true that you can sell anything on eBay? And do you think I can find twenty penguin-sized guitars there? ______________________ eta: Skatejoy, did you see that Jerome was at the Portland concert last night? Fingers crossed that your paths cross in a manner that is advantageous to you!
  9. For Couch Tomato and bonniemeadow and anyone else going to the Oakland concert. 10 Minutes in the Phone with Clay Aiken from Inside Bay Area:
  10. I've only had time to check out a couple of videos, and I've burnt the whole show into CDs to listen to at work today. I'm anxious to get a feel for how the whole show flows, and to actually be able to hear the dialogue in the vignettes. I'm also looking forward to getting more video perspectives on the show, as the Clack gathers get a chance to cover the action from different angles. LuvTugs, I don't get to go either, so Clack will be my lifeline!
  11. From the Official Fan Club. Jaymes Foster has given her permission for her message to be reposted, as long as it is quoted in its entirety. The original post is in The Man thread - JNT05 Clarifications (Jaymes Foster) on the OFC message board.

  13. So, based on having seen some of the Colorado photos earlier this year and the craptastic program for the JBT, I was feeling a little down about what the program for JNT05 would look like. Having seen some of the early scans, can I just say "GAH"? Clique, update that online store already, will ya? I need to have those pictures of Clay with the Christmas tree over his shoulder in my hot little hands sooner rather than later. I take back all the mean things I said about ya, and if you're quick, I might even order one of those goat things. Thanks so much.
  14. A brief summary of Clay's interview with K103 in Portland by AprilJoy at CV: eta: Link is here for the interview on the station's website - scroll down.
  15. SNIFF, SNIFF.... I love the smell of Clack in the morning. It smells like...... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I managed to wake up and catch the first half of the cellcert last night. I also skipped the snooze alarm, so I could check in on the early Clack before I had to get ready for work. It is so cool to have videos already accessible on All Things Clay Aiken, and to get a glimpse of some pictures. What I've seen of the setting looks lovely! Off to hunt Clack, and oh, yeah, maybe do some actual work here in the office today. I don't drink coffee, so I hope the Coke machine is well stocked! ____________________________________ eta: I will not whine about the lack of penguins. I will not whine about the lack of penguins. I will not whine about the lack of penguins.......
  16. I can't wait for the Clack of this - it's sounds very different! Go spotlightlover, jojoct, and scarlett! Merchandise - hoodies!
  17. A press release about State Farm teaming up with the BAF:
  18. Brief article about the JNT05 in Rolling Stone, including this comment:
  19. CLACK PANTS HAIR PENGUINS CLACK PANTS HAIR PENGUINS CLACK PANTS HAIR PENGUINS CLACK PANTS HAIR PENGUINS CLACK PANTS HAIR PENGUINS CLACK PANTS HAIR PENGUINS CLACK PANTS HAIR PENGUINS Hee - don't mind me, just limbering up for the day's postapalooza. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go get a backup for my E key - I suspect it's in for some heavy use in the next two months. ______________________ I guess I'm the only one spinning around in my chair with excitement here, so I'll just keep editting. A general thanks for acknowledging my silly posts - I am soooo not such a nutjob in my real life - I blame that on the Aiken. Also, this may be a good time to say thanks to Ms. Tomato and Ansa for this site - I am having a blast here, and with the whole pin thing. Can't wait to check in on the concert summaries late tonight or early tomorrow. buzztechie, I keep running across your pictures from JNT04 on other sites. What concerts are you and your pal Skatejoy going to this year, and how soon can we expect the Clack from you guys? Anybody on this thread going to the West Coast concerts besides Couch Tomato? I'm looking at our late night posters, LuvTugs and bonniemeadow. I need highly detailed recaps, and I need them soon! EEEE!
  20. Ha! The use of weaponry against flashers has been officially sanctioned! Go get 'em!! We can't lose access to the Clack!!! EEEEEEEEEEE! PENGUINS!!!!! PANTS!!!!!! HAIR!!!!! PANTS!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEE!!!!
  21. I double-dog-dare ya to go to one of the pin threads, and make that suggestion with a straight face. And I wouldn't want to bet against someone taking you up on that idea, either. So, have you got a photo in your stash somewhere that would illustrate such a theme? Something from one of the WDC performances, perhaps? ______________________________ Hee! The Broads believe in the dancing penguins, too.
  22. Ahh, you guys, let me have one more day of gratuitous references to flightless waterfowl, and then I will send them away on their long march. [Geez, I hope the JNT05 will give me a new source of schtick. I'm kind of running on empty here....] ______________________ Covers on the new CD: Thoughts? Personally, I love music I am familiar with, and would be happy to see Clay do a cover or two on the new CD, though not as a first or second single. I think one of the reasons I enjoyed watching RockStar INXS this summer so much was because of my familiarity with and affection for many of the songs they used. It gives me a good hook to get into a performance. Yeah, I know I'm a little weird that way.... and I'm resistant to new things sometimes.
  23. A very interesting album comment from an interview with The Oregonian:
  24. The Washington Post audio for the UNICEF chat is up here. ______________________________________ eta: The Insider Clack has plunged me into a deep, dark pit of utter and complete despair and desolation. There was absolutely no mention or glimpse of penguins, dancing or otherwise. I am bereft. I am off to drown my tears by bingeing on leftover Halloween candy, probably followed by an emergency trip to the dentist, as my jaws may become completely stuck together by Starburst Fruit Chews. An ingnominious end to a day that started with such promise.....
  25. A short blurb and a video on The Insider website. EEEEEEEEEEEE! My porch light's going off promptly at 7:30pm tonight - sorry, kids, the Aiken on TV is more important than handing out candy!
