Gotta say that it is frustrating to have to depend on the actual fan network for information about Clay and his CD...I don't get it. I read there's no track listing now on Amazon or B&N..which is weird....and makes me wonder if my throbbing bunion (down smutters) is trying to tell me something---like the songs we THINK are going to be on the CD aren't EXACTLY the songs that are going to be on this album...which makes me think that maybe WY is NOT the first single after all and he's just yanking our chains (down smutters.) Yeah, he's a little shit.

Yeah, EAYOR's talking about that 9/21 GMA rumor; evidently, it originated on Page Six, the gossip column, so whatever. I definitely would like to see RCA actually PROMOTING Clay: a list of his appearances on the site, at least. It does seem that the fandom does most of the newspreading... (and djs111, I have to admit that part of MY frustration with whoever Team Clay is or isn't DOES have to do with not being able to plan ahead for my travel and hotel accommodations' needs! And the whole nationwide CD release party thing, with the designated PR/press contact network, is impressive for sure, but also a little creepy. Teen Choice? Lord, I was unfortunate enough to click on that just as Britney was standing there, looking rather skanky (IMO) and basking in the prolonged cheering from the crowd and then introducing her husband. I couldn't watch his whole 'performance'; I just wished that once he DID get up from the piano bench to do his rap whatever he does thing, he'd have sat right back down on the piano bench. Who IS that person and why would anyone consider him a talent on the music scene? (Rhetorical question :glare: )

Yeah, that....I have an friend on the other side of the country who's lived her whole life immersed in music---she sings, she teaches both voice and instrumental music, she conducts, plays many instruments, etc. I had her listen to Solitaire on headphones when it first came out and she gave an honest assessment, pointing out the strained high note at the end (the 'OH'..he didn't always sound strained when he sang live, but in the recorded version he does sound without breath support on that note, IMO and hers too...), but also about the amazing control of his voice he has in the higher register, etc. Bet she'd tell it like it is on this one, too....

So anyhoo.... I called a buddy of mine. Her daughter plays softball with mine and during a tournament game last summer, somehow we got talking about Clay... Turns out she dissolves into puddles of goo over him, too! So we have so much fun now during softball season! Well.. I told her to get ready, I was coming to take her for a little ride. Picked her up, handed her my laptop to show her the Library Dude picture and then cranked up my downloaded "Without You" from my iPod that I connected to my hubby's new car stereo (a birthday present from me!) and we went tooling down the road. I mean to tell ya, that song was BLASTING and I could still hear her moaning. One: It was the first time she'd seen the new pics. She petted the pretty lapttop screen. Two: She started mumbling something about wanting to be alone with the song, that she needed privacy. Three: She insisted I keep driving while she replayed the song, trying out different settings on the Equalizer. "Powerful" "SuperBass" "Vocal (my fave)" "Flat" "Pop".... Four: She's ready to do favors or scrub somebody's bathrooms for a ticket to Kimmel! So while we're tooling around town with Clay crying so amazingly in our ears, I get a call from Couchie! And we oohed an aaaahd a while. Then I got a call from another Claybuddy who lives near Philly. She's coming out to visit with me and go to Kimmel, too! :04: Here we go again, Clay people!
