  1. WOOHOO -- Carolina basketball on TV this afternoon! Finally past the ESPNU games. Goldarngirl and cindilu2, if the comments in the Carolina blog are an indication, your Sendspace download is getting quite a workout. I won't know hit numbers until Monday morning. Seriously, there are lots of positive, "downloading now" comments. Way to go! Glad you like the slide show, Scarlett. Have an awesome new week, FCA! Caro
  2. Hello, again! The Carolina blog just went up, and I thank all who helped. Cindy and I have exchanged 15 emails on the subject, LOL! Hopefully, I credited everyone correctly. I went by your posts, goldarngirl. Please don't hesitate to let me know if anything needs changing. The wallpapers are in a slide show, and Cindy sent me a jpeg of December at about the same time I snipped part of the month to show some of the time line detail. I used both as clickables. Waving to Scarlett, too! Have a great weekend all! Caro
  3. Ditto -- awesome calendar, which I am featuring in the new Carolina blog. It's almost done, and I will upload it tonight. Thank you to cindilu2 for putting up with eight -- make that 8! -- emails and making me a jpeg file of December to use as an example. I love the timelines, goldarngirl. I know so little about PDF, so I will just ask here. Can the calendar be used online AND printed? What do you recommend to people? How are some FCA members planning to use it? Also, is there a link to the FCA timeline section, or do you want me to use the board link? Thnx! Caro
  4. Would love to see Clay and Ruben together again ... and would love to play oboe in the backup orchestra! Caro
  5. Caro, thanks for the ever increasingly more beautiful links and thanks to Cindi for brining the pretties! ps. Congratulations in advance!!! I was hoping to add to your list of countries but you're growing faster than I can plan any travels! Yay for a world tour *what a nice thought to begin the day!* On topic: Thank you, Scarlett. Looking forward to the new country! Just added this Sendspace audio download of the SURROUND UM video to the Carolina entry. My friend Sally says the blog is always a progressive affair. She usually waits to comment on the second or third day. HEEE!!! Have a great day, all! Caro
  6. Thank you, liney23. I have now changed the UM video in the Carolina blog for the third time. Check out the SURROUND version from San Jose posted at YouTube today. The video is by rob91902 and the audio by kjmmom. WOW!!! Y'all enjoy! :04: Caro
  7. Happy Veterans/Remembrance Day! Condolences to you and your family, jmh! I haven't written the entry yet, but the Carolina blog has been visited by 134 countries, the newest of which are Nepal, Yemen, Cote D'Ivoire, Ghana, Congo, and Kazakstan. Surely, there is a worldwide tour in Clay Aiken's future! This is a clickable of cindilu2's graphic currently running in the blog. Special thnx to FCA's very talented graphic artist, who is on the verge of finishing of course work for her degree! Definitely grounds for a board PARTY! Thnx again, Cindy. For sure, your art inspired the blog. Have a great day, all! Caro Drop by anytime: Carolina On My Mind Click to stream Clay Aiken at MySpace
  8. The new Carolina On My Mind blog goes one more round with "Unchained Melody." When cindilu2 posted our new FCA banner, I began hinting for a graphic. Both are published in the blog. Besides some UM history, there are three video players of Clay singing UM. I hope you enjoy and thank you for your hits/comments. Ditto! Have an awesome day, all! Caro
  9. What a wonderful morning surprise, Scarlett! Many thnx and all the best with your work load ... Have an awesome new week, all! Caro
  10. Awesome banner, cindilu2! Ditto -- my epiphany, too! Clayzy, I wrote something similar in the current Carolina blog. Like everyone else, I have been in clack heaven all weekend. As better videos became available, I changed the blog's YouTube link for the newest "best" video. To me, the best audio is from the first video by moonriver919. Sigh ... I now have the new 11/23 Deck the Halls order deadline in the blog. Hope y'all are selling lots of wreaths, georgiesmybaby! Have a great week, all! Caro
  11. WOOHOO -- what a fantastic performance! I have uploaded a new Carolina On My Mind blog with Fountaindawg's sunny graphic, moonriver919's recap and video from last night, plus an mp3 Sendspace of UM. Hope you enjoy! Last night Aspiegirl reappeared online about the time we were hearing from the DF&F Concert. In the process, she wrote an amazing blog entitled Behind the Wall of Autism that is well worth the read. Hope she will soon be creating montages again soon! Agreed, luckiest1 ... plus I'll take that wonderful "Moon River" interpretation, too. Have an awesome Saturday, all! 12. This is the paragraph I added to the Carolina blog: ETA: The totals have been changing. Caro
  13. Certain states in the US don't allow gay adoption. I think NC may be one and I know for sure Florida is one. I watched a documentary about a gay couple in Portland OR who adopted a few kids in FL with special needs. My son's child (not really his) by girlfriend (he helped raise her and still is although now she is 20) was friends with one of them. In total they had about 8 kids. They had to leave FL because the state wanted to take the children away from them, although there might not be anyone else willing to adopt. All part of the mess in this country as a result of not considering everyone equal. I have a friend whose daughter was in a lesbian relationship, supposedly for life. Their union ceremony (of sorts) was in Indiana. They chose from a donor bank, and my friend's daughter carried and bore twin babies. Her partner has recently decided to leave the relationship and is suing for partial custody. They reside in Florida. It's a crazy system we have to sort out. Caro
  14. for all needing health and job-related prayers. The rough economy really hits music teachers; I lost another student this week. So sorry to read about the Ft. Hood tragedy this afternoon. Like everyone here, I am keeping an eye on America's Giving Challenge. I hope the Inclusion Project can at least end up in 12 or above. An extra $10,000 would be awesome. Go, Clay Nation! Just a note to let you know that Ideal Idol is plugging ymarie's wonderful essay in the Carolina blog. Remarkable Journey with Clay is at the top of the right column in "News and Articles." Hopefully, you will drop by. The essay is worth the read! Happy Birthday to Shamrock! :04: One of your pictures is running in the blog, Shamrock. Have a great evening, all! Caro
  15. Clay Aiken Makes a Difference The new Carolina On My Mind blog makes the case for its headline with ymarie's extraordinary six-year recap (certain to inspire lots of head-nodding), graphics by Fountaindawg and cindilu2, info about this week’s Final Push Party for America's Giving Challenge, a montage by LovesClaysVoice with links to others. There is also an ode to my home's sudden silence. Hope you enjoy! Your hits, comments, tweets, retweets connected to specific blogs lend them weight with Google and other portals. It's important that you mention "Clay Aiken" in the comment. My previous entry was picked up not by my lead but through a fan's remarks: Bloggers continue to thank you for your efforts, even if it's just a hit, because we know the difference this makes on the Internet. It only takes a minute and when one stops and comments, that is even better. Thank you, liney. With my TV outage, I spent some much-needed time playing with/editing new pix of the grandkids. After reading your post last night, I checked the "Deck the Halls" link in an earlier Carolina entry, and it works. I will plug DTH and other fundraisers getting closing in on their deadlines in the next blog, georgiesmybaby. Have an awesome rest of the week, FCA! Caro
  16. Happy Birthday to Canfly! Hope everyone is having a super day! Caro
  17. merrieeee, how awesome! She's a little doll! My family trick or treated as a butterfly/princess and a giraffe. Here are clickables of Lia and Kai on a warm night in Texas: There are more shots in the Carolina blog. 18. LOL, that's the timeline we use in piano/violin lessons. After Halloween, all the students are to bring their Christmas books. Have a great day, all! 19. Today's Carolina On My Mind blog features cindilu2's new November calendar (photo by Shamrock, with and without dates), Yollie950's Halloween montage (lots of Clay pix and videos to MJ's "Thriller"), a plug for the Nov. 5-6 Final Push America's Giving Challenge Party, and glimpses of trick or treating with the grandchildren in West Texas. Kai was a giraffe, and Lia alternated between being a butterfly and a princess. :04: Your hits and comments do help at Google, so thank you for your support. Have a great week, all! Caro
  20. Exercise for you and her, Couchie! Many thnx for the no edit counter! Caro
  21. Couchie, love the Halloween and real live pix of Layla Ali and Pacquiao! How kewl that your mother went Trick or Treating! Happy November, all! Caro
  22. I updated the Carolina blog with the donations contributed during the Oct. 30-31 Trick or Treat for Inclusion Campaign. Plans are to have a Final Push Party during the last 24 hours of the America's Giving Challenge. To date, a total of $14,800 has been earned by the National Inclusion Project in donations and awards. Hope your Halloween is a SCREAM! Caro
  23. In addition to current fall charity giveaway campaigns, holiday fundraising standbys are upon us -- Wrapping for Inclusion, Deck the Halls, and a Clay Aiken calendar for the new year. As she has for several years, Rosa Shurtz created the 2010 calendar with photos by toni7babe. After expenses, all proceeds will go to the National Inclusion Project. Clickable Calendar Cover See the new Carolina On My Mind blog for more info, sample months, and the mid-November order deadline/procedure. When do we cut the cake, cindilu2? Have a great week, FCA! Caro
  24. Good Morning, FCA! The Clay Nation is competing with many large, international charities in the America's Giving Challenge. Several fan boards decided to try to pool our donations on Oct. 30 and 31 with a Trick of Treat for Inclusion campaign. You can read about it in the new Carolina On My Mind blog. CANN also has a blog on the topic, and Claysmelody will, too. Your hits and comments will lend levity to these entries on Google and are greatly appreciated. In the Carolina blog, there is also a segment about the Deck the Halls for Inclusion fundraiser, which I'm sure you plan to support by Nov. 16. Thank you to Georgiesmybaby and FromClaygary for all the info. The Project link works in Mozilla; but on IE, I get the home page for Rockdale Wreaths. Please let me know if people can add something to make sure the funds go to the foundation. Have a great day, all! Caro ETA: The truncated link is now fixed. Many thnx!
