  1. Hallelujah, Tweeterwall is over!!! I think there were some amazing results from the poll as the fan base came together like days of old. I read FCA posts from 9/13 to the present, and many of you were impressed with the OFC Thread. There were similar cheerleading threads on CA message boards -- the Clayboard, international fan boards, etc. For at least a day, we knew Clay would come in second, so that's what I wrote about in the blog ... The Carolina On My Mind blog celebrates the conclusion of Tweeterwall and grandson Kai's second birthday. Clay epitomizes an Ultimate World Idol, which I supported with info familiar to you, the next chapter with Decca, and Wednesday's updated list of 128 countries recording visits to the blog. Clay is truly worldwide! The lead Clay graphic is by Cotton with others by AmazingCA, Claystruck, Ashes, and Sally. Thank you for your visits and comments. For those who enjoy the Kai reports, this entry includes a birthday graphic and a short video of grandson's latest drumming escapade. Here is the art by Ashes (Claysmelody at FCA) celebrating our family's birthday boy: Clickable Kai Again, WOOHOO and on to the next chapter! First, I have to teach violin lessons. See you in a bit ... Have an awesome day, all! :thbighug-1: Caro
  2. Yesterday I posted a short remembrance blog about 9-11 that opens with Yollie950's "Grace of God" montage. I never made it to FCA, but since reading about the late Bill Biggart, jmh, I have added a couple of paragraphs, links, and his opening photo from "The Final Horror." Thank you, jmh, for sharing this amazing story, which is now part of the Carolina entry. If you drop by the blog, I hope you will share your recollections and experiences from that day. Most of us have vivid memories from 9-11, even if we just casually watching the TODAY Show that morning. Hope all is well with you folks. I see you have been very busy, Scarlett. RE Tweeterwall and the Internet in general, I think we have to be alert for possible spyware/adware/virus invasions at all times. As others have said, I haven't seen the Tweeterwall problem since last week. Perhaps the site took care of it. Even so, click on the RED X and not CANCEL or in inside the small box if it appears. I added the link below. Have a wonderful weekend! Caro --------------------------- Drop by anytime: Carolina On My Mind VOTE for Clay at Tweeterwall: Ultimate World Idol
  3. Caro mentions it coming up a couple of times for her right in the post I quoted. And, yes, you may have to reformat your hard drive, but it won't be literally destroyed, so if you don't mind losing all of your computer files, no biggie. I saw the "thing" one time, and I know a couple other fans who did, also. I have posted the warning in all the threads where I know people are voting. I also included info in the current blog. However, as goldarngirl said, we haven't seen the spyware/virus for several days; and we've been at this for over a week. According to a tweet tonight, a ticker will be added to the poll tomorrow counting down the final days. Stay safe. This is a good rule to remember when traveling the Net anytime anywhere. Caro
  4. I agree with everyone else. How wonderful to wake up to one awesome Q&A session with Clay! Our guy is so funny! One more WOOHOO for the calendar! The Clay Nation is up against three fan bases in the Ultimate World Idol Poll. The latest details are in the new Carolina On My Mind blog. Included are a montage by LovesClaysVoice and graphics, one of which you saw here first. Yay, cindilu2! If you're inclined to help vote, we need all the troops possible at the Ultimate World Idol Poll. Have an awesome week, all! Caro
  5. Ohhhhhhh, thank you, cindilu2! The best is yet to come! Love the double stripes in Quebec! Caro
  6. Thank you, tree, cindilu2, and some of your "anonymous" friends. The site definitely needs a warning posted. There's some kind of spyware that can pop up telling you your computer is infected. DO NOT CLICK on CANCEL. Click the RED X in the right hand corner of the small window. From what I've read, it's a hacker trying to download spyware onto your computer. It's happened to me a couple of times, and I hit the red x to close the little window. I have also scanned my computer afterwards and found nothing. Hope everything works out for strummer6. :thbighug-1: Caro
  7. Ohhhh, cindilu2, I want a graphic along the lines of that wonderful banner! Sorry to hit y'all with this, but we have a situation you can help solve. We have three new Clay blogs at Google: Carolina On My Mind Clay-The Man Clay Aiken News Network We need your comments because above all three is an old story about Clay riding AL's coattails. The activity you create in the blogs raises their position for Google searches. The comments don't have to be long; just mention "Clay Aiken" in them. Besides Aspiegirl's wonderful BOTW montage from Clay's 2003 MDA Telethon, the Carolina blog features a "Remembering Khrystyna" segment, and urges CA fans to continue voting in the World Idol poll. Many thnx to georgiesmybaby and others who offered assistance with K-na's tribute. I didn't know her, but wish I had. I hope you will tell her friends and family about the entry. Thank you for your support in the blogs. :thbighug-1: Happy Birthday to ausdon! Wishing all a wonderful Labor Day Weekend! Caro
  8. The new Carolina On My Mind blog features a look back at Clay's 2003 MDA Telethon performance with Aspiegirl's BOTW montage, the intro by Jerry Lewis, and a graphic by cindilu2. The entry also includes a segment and video about Khrystyna, as well as World Idol poll updates. Clay is currently in second place (nothing new!); but earlier this week, he moved from #40 to #2 when fans began to mobilize. A World Idol voting link is placed front and center under the main headline, so I hope you -- and your voting skills from the past -- will join us every 20 minutes: Ultimate World Idol Poll. Georgiesmybaby, please pass along this link to K-Na's other boards, family, and friends. Btw, I need a picture of K-Na to post with the OFC blog if anyone has one. Many thnx! Happy Birthday to Claysmelody! Y'all have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend! Caro
  9. Congratulations, luckiest1! You're also in the middle of my Clay Aiken Spotlight Blogroll. Happy Birthday, merrieeee! Happy Labor Day Weekend, all! Caro --------------------------- Drop by sometime: Carolina On My Mind VOTE for Clay at Tweeterwall: Ultimate World Idol
  10. Clayzy, that's awesome! I would love to have been a fly on the wall. georgiesmybaby, we share your grief. Are you planning to send the post to Ideal Idol? Caro
  11. Clay Fans Hit World Idol Poll I know some of you are not into voting, but the Clay Nation is on a roll at the Tweeterwall site, and we could use your help. This is a blurb about the new Carolina On My Mind blog: SueRue's OMWH montage highlights tour/TV performances, UNICEF trips, a gala, et al with clips of each song. In addition to the graphic interlude, cindilu2's September calendar has been added. luckiest1, I notice you have updated your blog; and I will be by .... SOON! Have a great week, all! Caro
  12. Hee, well thanks to Jamie Oliver I know how. I've been cooking recipes from a couple of his cookbooks, and yesterday I even started a blog about it, more a record for myself than anything else. Kind of a diary of my cooking escapades, if you will. Hee. I'm having fun. nice blog. Should we expect a movie version of Luckiest & Jamie ? Hee, not any time soon, but thanks for taking a peek! And thanks to Carolina Clay for commenting AND becoming my first "follower". My pleasure, luckiest1! Scarlett, we are counting on you being in the zone at the gala. Maybe you should practice! There are always awesome pix in the FCA thread! Have a great evening, all! Caro
  13. Took me a while, but the new Carolina On My Mind blog with all the Decca news, pix, graphics, etc., is now up. Graphics are by cindilu2, AmazingCA, SueReu, and Fountaindawg. Also featured are a segment about "Including Samuel," as well as Fountaindawg's take on what the boards were like BEFORE THE PIX. Hope you enjoy! Banner is looking mighty fine, cindilu2! Loving all the excitement! Have a great day, all! Caro
  14. Definitely! Love the list, aikim, and the addendum, bottlecap! This man says I know who I am, I like who I am, I am FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! My bad -- I thought the thumbnail would show! keepingfaith, I so agree! Love the banner, cindilu2! LOL, guess my avatar is coming back into style. Many thnx, katy4clay! Caro
  15. Thank you, liney23. I just added a montage to the Carolina that copingincalifornia made using "An Irish Lullaby" (Too Ra Lu Ra Loo Ra). Cha Cha, there are compliments for the candlelight vigil pix. Many thnx! Caro
  16. Cha Cha, who took the picture, and when was the vigil? I should add it to the new Carolina On My Mind blog about Teddy Kennedy, a driving force for the rights of many who could not speak for themselves like the disabled. I kept thinking of Clay when putting the blog together, and I included gerwhisp's Measure of a Man montage. Caro - you can credit "xiann" and just say "tweeted by xiann from Dupont Circle" - I am pretty sure she took it with her iphone about 7:30 pm this evening. "she" meaning my daughter xiann. Cha Cha, please thank your daughter for me. I added a clickable photo under this quote from Time magazine about a "torch" and "beacon fires": Thank you, treenuts, Scarlett, and others who appreciated the compilation. Some cannot get past the Ted Kennedy's early demons and flaws; but I don't know how anyone can argue with the 2500 pieces of legislation advancing the rights of women, minorities, immigrants, gays, and the disabled. Have a great day, all! Caro
  17. Have a great week, all! Caro
  18. Thank you. I'm just the conduit. Cindilu2, Ashes (Claysmelody here), and "the gang" are the artists. I chase 'em down. Caro
  19. Cindy, your montage is a work of art, very well done. Kudos to you! Aunt Caro now has a nephew enrolled in college 2.2 miles from her house, which will probably become a regular motel stop for the parents of said student. All were unprepared for the big change in having their oldest son leave home. I understand the freshman doesn't know how to run a washing machine. Bet he learns that maneuver REAL SOON! Caro
  20. I enjoyed the picture-filled scroll as I caught up ... Awesome, Penny! I'm sure musicfan123 will answer you if you post the question at CANN. Readers who leave comments have a special place in the hearts of bloggers, and their remarks often complete the circle of dialogue set in motion by the writer. The new Carolina On My Mind blog features a mailbag of witty, thoughtful remarks from the past three entries. Clickable by toni7babe In addition to two clickable graphic interludes from the SRHP Tour (AmazingCA, cindilu2, chachatrusty, Ashes, Ambassador of Love), the blog opens with "He's Got a Way," a wonderful montage by LovesClaysVoice. The above photo by toni7babe leads the OFC version. Hope you enjoy! Have an awesome week, all! Caro
  21. Music? I love everything Clay sings and can't wait to hear more. Since I commemorated the 8/19/07 finale in the previous blog, I thought it only right to add the wonderful postscript provided by cindydoe and ncclayfan, who with their friend MAL flew home to NC on the same Delta flight as Clay. Their story is the main topic of the latest Carolina On My Mind blog. Hope you enjoy! Many thnx to them for sharing their special story with us. So far, several comments are by people who had never before read the story. Looking forward to new tours, too! Happy TGIF, all! :thbighug-1: Caro
  22. Wow, I finished bringing in the groceries just in time. It's pouring down rain this hour. Supposed to be 5% chance at 2 p.m., so I guess I timed that trip just right. I can't access CV at work, but I suspect the server maintenance issues that d-mom posted about being done overnight are taking longer than the tech geeks said they would. None of the tech stuff ever seems to go smoothly for that board. That is what I suspected...she is probably tearing her hair out by now! Kim I still can't get into CV either. Plus I'm on a new computer without the address for the emergency site. Can someone PM that to me? I wonder if the main CV address will remain the same. Guess time will tell. Off to catch up. Have a great day, all! Caro
  23. WOOHOO!!! Wonderful news, aikim! Awesome that merrieeee will be attending the Gala! I am never ahead, but I posted an Orlando SRHP Concert (8/19/07) anniversary blog one day early! Hope you enjoy the performance videos, photos, and NJU stories: Carolina On My Mind. Have a great week, all! Caro
  24. Thank you to all who visited the Carolina blog and commented there or here. Left out of Google alerts for months, the Carolina site currently has a string of two for two going. (Yay!) However, for some reason, this entry is buried in the Google dungeons, so your hits might help it find the way to Page 1 for blogs about Clay. Keeping it all in the FCA family, the blog leads with a cindilu2 graphic. Hope you enjoy! Caro, thank you so much for the blog of happy memories -- good times!!! Scarlett, georgiesmybaby! et al -- you are so welcome! We are very fortunate canfly172 was sitting on the "faaaaaaaaaar left" to get that wonderful footage of Clay behind Quiana while she very appropriately sang "When the Lights Go Down." Sorry about your camera though. I was also glad to be able to share four new pix of my grandson. The camera out west is finally fixed and, hopefully, there will be many more coming this way: Clickable of Kai at pool. Kai, who will be 2 in September, loves the pool, the park, and just about anyplace that involves action. I understand he is enjoying the new dump truck from his grandmother and specializes in unloading dominoes any and everywhere. Happy Birthday to Cagney! Have a great day, all! Caro
