  1. Question for FromClaygary or georgiesmybaby: I am in the middle of the "Deck the Halls" blog. Is there a National Inclusion Project code people need to type when they place an online wreath order at this page? Btw, no wreaths are showing on the above link. I need the addy for the National Inclusion Page! Thank you! Caro
  2. Claysmelody, that would be AWEsome! Any chance I could ask you to advertise our Deck the Halls Fundraiser in your blog? Please PM me if you could..... FromClaygary, I'm sure many bloggers will advertise Deck the Halls. Georgiesmybaby PM'd me the info, which I sent to musicfan (CANN), Claysmelody (Clay-the Man), etc. CANN is running a segment today. When we write about the fundraisers, Facebook members are welcome to post the lead (2-3 paragraphs, etc.) with a link to the blogs. I'm not a member of Facebook. The Carolina blog will be up this weekend. Glad we can help! Have a great weekend, all! Caro --------------------------- Drop by anytime: Carolina On My Mind Trick or Treat for National Inclusion Project Oct. 30-31 w/ donation to America's Giving Challenge.
  3. Wonderful recap, luckiest1! Thnx for sharing your weekend. That's the main theme of the latest Carolina On My Mind blog. Featured are videos by bigappleforclay and yollie950, as well as AmazingCA's graphic of toni7babe's photos. Here it is as a clickable: Clickable by AmazingCA Love the pix on the Christie Cookie Facebook site! I enjoyed reading through some comments, too. Clay's "thank you" came in about the time I posted the blog, so I included that with a pix and a link. How great the entire Clay Nation could celebrate the Charity Giveaway together! Two of today's students are home sick with the flu. Hope you and your families are well. Have a great day, all! Caro
  4. \ luckiest1, that "coughing up a lung" is the best description I've heard lately. I finally went to the doctor this morning. My ailment is a "bronchial/sinusitis" combo. I currently have at least one music student with swine flu. Feel better soon ... and don't take three weeks to see the doc as I did! Love the CV poster's description of the Jaymes-Parker meeting in Chapel Hill, merrieee. I can just picture those uncut curls. Thnx for the DTH info, georgiesmybaby! Take care, all ... Caro
  5. RE the latter, georgiesmybaby, I've been reading along and will take all the info you have on DTH. Musicfan123, who writes the CANN blog, will be home tonight. You can PM me here. Thank you for all the clack, recaps, etc. I loved "attending" the Gala through your reports. Canfly, hope you feel better. I didn't teach again today, but I think I'm almost well. In making the calls, I learned that the student who coughed for one solid hour last Monday later developed flu. Guess his teacher did, too. Happy Birthday, ClayIzzaQT! The current Carolina On My Mind blog is about the Gala, Cookie win, and Giving Challenge. Your visits are always appreciated. Have a great evening, all! Caro
  6. In August, I wrote a blog about the Gala Champions honorees. Here is some of what I had on Patrick Henry Hughes and his father: There is an video at YouTube. Caro
  7. How awesome about the Christie Cookie win but also that their representative heard all this! Caro
  8. *raises hand* *raises hand also* Here's a link for DITTO -- safe travels to all headed this way! I hope the Carolina rain and cool temps turn to sunshine before you arrive! Caro
  9. I just uploaded a blog in honor of Papa Aiken at Carolina On My Mind. Your hits and comments are always appreciated. Included are the Beautiful Star graphic by cindilu2 and hosaa's wonderful montage. I was planning to add info about the charity drives, but I think I will wait and do that tomorrow. All my tweets go directly into the "All Friends" column (instead of "Clay Aiken"), but Ashes retweeted the blog into the correct location. I wonder if they have me automatically programmed for that. Love Durham's Facebook info. Thnx for sharing! Have a restful/productive/enjoyable weekend, all! Caro
  10. I'm not quite sure why we'd WANT to do that when the intention was clearly to close the site in honor of Clay's Papa? Surely we can honor that wish for this short time. I didn't mean any disrespect. I found that way in looking for a condolence thread. I think others have since posted a direct link. Caro
  11. My condolences to Clay and his family. I love that he and his Papa were close all these years. I'm sure I already have your wonderful "Beautiful Star" graphic, cindilu2; but I saved it again. In another vein, love the new banner, 'mam! You can get into the OFC from Papa's page. At the tribute page, right click on "terms of service" at the bottom and open a new tab. You can then click on Fan HQ for the blog pages or the Message Board link. There are currently 115 fans on the blog side. Have a good weekend, all! Caro
  12. Long time no see! I always do my income tax just before the 10/15 deadline, so I have been offline most of the week. It's been crazy catching up ... Once I put the figures in the mail, I sat down and wrote a new Carolina On My Mind entry. You have no doubt seen the highlighted topics (Christie Cookies, Charity Evaluator, etc.), but your visits are always welcome. Some of the "entertainment" are the "Power of the Dream" montage by LovesClaysVoice, an October calendar by cindilu2 ... plus new pix of Kai and Lia. We definitely have a red head in baby sister! Sending good thoughts and prayers your way, georgiesmybaby. This is a really great idea you posted: Have a great evening, all! Caro
  13. Happy Birthday, goldarngirl, with belated greetings to liney23! WOOHOO for our chairty!!! 1. Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Lenexa, KS 12737 2. National Inclusion Project Raleigh, NC 12587 3. Young Singers Foundation Tulsa, OK 11734 Have a great evening, all ... Caro
  14. Very creative, Bottle! Are you saving your money in case that blue shirt ever goes on the auction block? Thnx, tree, for dropping by the Carolina blog. I am working on income tax this weekend, so the DWTS-Christie Cookies entry will be current a few more days. I added a new montage link for WYSYLM by LovesClaysVoice this morning. Happy Birthday, keepingfaith! Have a great weekend, all! Caro
  15. Love all the pix ... and, Bottle, I'm with you on the blue shirt! The new Carolina On My Mind blog features the winning combination of Clay Aiken songs and DWTS with several montages, two in players. In between is a "commercial" for the continued recruitment of charity giveaway votes. Hope you enjoy! I have had a BAD bad cold and finally feel as if I'll live. I start making up M-T lessons this afternoon. Hope y'all are well. Have an awesome rest of the week! Caro
  16. If you still have emails to write recruiting charity giveaway votes, here is a wonderful video SueRue created about the and posted at YouTube this afternoon. Also great as an addition at Facebook, MySpace, etc. Throughout, Clay sings "Open Arms" and in voice overs explains about the foundation. It would be an excellent link in an email to others. I added the montage in a video player in the current Carolina blog. It's time to locate more votes to reach #1 or #2! No kidding! I would add West Point to the list. Awesome pix! And you are welcome. Caro --------------------------- Drop by anytime: Carolina On My Mind VOTE for the National Inclusion Project: Christie Cookies Charity Giveaway
  17. Don't know what got into me, but I slept in for the first time in a while. I have a new Carolina blog -- Aiken Fans Compile Cookie Votes -- encouraging all to spread the word to casual and Not.Just.Us fans for the giveaway. Besides two other segments, the clickable interlude features graphics by Ashes and AmazingCA. The gorgeous lead picture is this one by PermaSwooned from the 2008 Gala: Thank you for your comments and visits to all the blogs. I always need a retweet because mine never go into the "Clay Aiken" column at Twitter; instead, they are an automatic for "All Friends." There are retweet and share buttons/links on the blog for Twitter and Facebook. I haven't joined FB yet, but I'm weakening. Many thnx for sharing! Just talked with my daughter and hope to have new grandchildren pix soon. Meanwhile, I'm having a Patrick Swayze Saturday as I have "Ghost" playing and "Dirty Dancing" on tap. Tree, glad you enjoyed it. We definitely have some awesome tour photos and graphics. Here's hoping for many more! I've never seen that picture before. Can sumbunny post the original pweease? The graphic artists don't usually include the concert location when they give credit. Here are smugmug links for kareneh and scrpkym. Happy hunting! Again, thnx for the blog visits/tweets/shares! Have an awesome day, all! Caro
  18. Tree, glad you enjoyed it. We definitely have some awesome tour photos and graphics. Here's hoping for many more! Caro
  19. Christie's Cookies sent out a Facebook comment earlier this evening that lists the Top 5 charities so far. It's already out of date: WOOHOO -- National Inclusion into 4th place! See RESULTS!!! Caro
  20. I sent a couple of "bulk" mailings out RE the Christie Cookies Charity Giveaway. I wish I had added to line that the recipients (family, friends, parents of students, former students, etc.) are welcome to send it to others. Happy Birthday to aikim! Love the pix party, liney23 and ldyj! Have a great evening, all! Caro --------------------------- Drop by anytime: Carolina On My Mind VOTE for the National Inclusion Project: Christie Cookies Charity Giveaway
  21. I love that the ATDW anniversary fell on the weekend when Clay's fans are amassing votes for the Inclusion Project, so I made it the theme of the new Carolina On My Mind blog. Included is an interlude of ATDW graphics (** waves to cindilu2**) plus a short montage by LovesClaysVoice that you can add to Facebook, MySpace, etc., pages. What a great way to celebrate love in ATDW!!! Me too!! I was in the middle of one of those crazy eight interchanges between freeways and it HIT ME! HYCA is one of my favorite songs on one of my favorite CD's by my very favorite singerman!!! Happy belated anniversary to ATDW!!! Love this! Have an awesome week, all! Caro
  22. FromClaygary, that means that all 10,088 OFC members can vote with their Clayonline email address no matter what country. For those in the US, it is very easy to establish accounts with G-mail (Google), Yahoo, AOL, etc. The National Inclusion Project has moved to #22 just tonight. Here is a link for the results page that you can refresh. WOOHOO!!! Caro
  23. Happy TGIF! Happy Anniversary, aikim! Happy Birthday, Idyj! Have a great day, all! Caro
  24. Thank you, Desertrose and justclay12. Be sure to see the 10-second video of Kai playing the drums in the Carolina blog. A person at the OFC said to warn my daughter he is going to give her a run for her money. Here's to reading "Clay" and "studio" in the same sentence ... OFTEN! Hang in there, Scarlett. Caro
