  1. I've had my iPod do things like that too. I sometimes think they have a mind of their own.

I had my ipod for almost 3 years before I got my iMac. The first time I plugged it in to the iMac, it was like it had finally arrived on the home planet or something. Seriously....it synched faster and charged longer than it ever had before.

    Just sayin'... :twinklewhore:

  2. IIRC the story about it being changed or snuck onto the album was fanlore that got turned into stone cold fact in some quarters.

I can only speak to what I don't like about the song. I don't like the beat. Or the melody. Or the lyrics. And I especially don't like the intro bars. To me it sounds cheesy and dated. Like someone said ... "hey guys how about one with a faux-Latin sound?"

Maybe Clay really just doesn't like the song? *shrug* Not everything is a vast Clive-wing conspiracy :cryingwlaughter:

  3. As a carb watcher, deep dish doesn't do it for me, either. A thin veggie is more to my liking.

Also, why would anyone have thought Clay was in a Starbucks when he doesn't drink coffee?

I don't drink coffee either, shorty. I LOVE their iced chai tea latte and get it too often!

I order a soy-chai-latte (hot or cold depending on season) when I go to either Starbucks or Crane Coffee....

& I DO drink coffee :cryingwlaughter:

  4. Totally catty gossip--feel free to scroll if you are pure of spirit.

My friend had the good fortune to sit next to a "famous" Clack gatherer who gave her an earful when she found out Carol wasn't on the boards. (NOT Scarlett, by the way.) The woman said she is a personal friend of Clay's and was able to meet with him and take a list of questions to him, but when others are around, he acts very professional so people won't be jealous AND that she spends so much of her time providing Clack for others and doesn't get the appreciation she deserves for her sacrifices.

Holy crap. It just never ends.... :cryingwlaughter:

  5. The song that has grown on me the most is It's Only Make Believe. That one goes on repeat more often than not, along with Mack the Knife.

    :yeahthat:

I've only listened to the two bonus songs on the deluxe cd once. Neither of them really grabbed me. And I will admit to being a teensy weensy bit disappointed in BMUB. I didn't expect that. Misty is still the song I skip sometimes. Although I think the way Clay sings "it's what I want you to do" is sublime.

I only ever buy 2 physical copies of Clay's CDs. One to listen to and one to leave shrink-wrapped in my Clay box. :cocktail:

When I purchased my 2nd CD at Target today (the one that will stay unopened) the cashier smiled and said...."Clay Aiken....now that's when American Idol was gooooood. I like him. He's such a nice man."

*sigh* I really do love this CD. No surprise since I already knew and loved many of these songs. (And, hello! Clay is singing them!) Musically I've always been an older soul. Not that I don't find more modern music that I like, I'm just often attracted to songs from before my time.

  6. Huh. I didn't bother to try to get in with my old email and password. I just created a new account. I did it without thinking. I just figured new site, new sign up. It never occured to me that I should do any thing else until I tried to change my user name to jamar1700. And the site said there already WAS a user with that name.

    Ruh roh :cryingwlaughter:

So yeah. The old account is jamar1700, but I don't think I can access it. The new name is just jamar. So if you try to friend me and I don't answer that may be why.

    :)

  7. After the "Deflated" blog .... I didn't expect to get much in the way of communication from him in that type of format.

Perhaps they are trying to control his press at this time. Not taking a chance on it taking any wacky turns. The way it has been known to when people take bits & pieces of what Clay says and blow them out of proportion.

    JMO

Can't wait fot the CD and the Tour and the Show.

  8. Well I must be nutty because I  my dentists & my periodontist. They are so gentle and make my teeth look great. And yes I've had some painful work done including a gum tuck, an extraction and several crowns. I always tell people if you hate to go to the dentist, it's time to find a new dentist. Because it doesn't have to be that way.

Now if only I could find a doctor I felt the same way about.

The constant nitpicking gets old but I've decided some people are just like that. It's who they are. And they are everywhere really, not just Clayland. I have some in my family. I've worked with them, And don't get me started on the baseball & basketball boards I belong to. IMO it's just rampant in our culture. I wish it weren't.

  9. [We considered going down to spring training, but the airfare was too much. Are you coming up to see a game at Target Field?

Well if you ever have the opportunity, I'd grab it. It was a great vacation. We're going to try to come up for a series in July. We'll buy on the secondary market if we do. We did that for all the Spring Training games and got awesome seats. Prices were relative. Not nearly as expensive as seeing 6 Clay concerts. :cryingwlaughter:

Took some (mumblemumble700mumblemumble) pictures. I can email you some if you'd like.
