Saw The Proposal today. It was really cute and funny.
Sorta fluff.
But good fluff.

I kept reading the posts after beryl's post - I didn't go off to read her "goodbye" - and thank goodness.
Yeah me either, I'll just say...'buh 'bye.
I am a Christian and I know that GOD is my judge and that the only person that needs to live by my moral code is me.

That said....
Can we talk about certain politicians who feel a need to protect the sanctity of marriage from "those gay people"? IMO they would be better served by protecting the sanctity of their own marriages. You want to defend traditional marriage? Try keeping your pecker in your own marriage and stop lecturing everyone else.
*oooo was I channeling wanda there for a bit?*

nevermind...you'd have to have already done that...so I'm no help....
However for those of you whose computers haven't crashed it's a good idea to back up your iTunes music library every so often. Go to iTunes, File, Back up to disc. Didn't lose anything in my computer crash. /PSA

Geez how rude of me to leave this out of my previous post....
Happy Birthday Couchie!!!

This is exactly the type of project I would expect from Clay. I don't, for one minute, believe he will ever write a tell-all book or even a sequel to LTS. I don't see that as his style at all.
JMHO of course.

Awww. I think he's cute. I love the glasses and the hair.
So...he's just supposedly just walking along through the airport smiling to himself? Okay. Hee.
-
Oh Honey. This is nothing.
And we didn't even have the fan club blogs or anything.
*sidenote* wanna hear how far I had to walk to school when I was a kid?
It was uphill both ways, doncha know....
-
Yep. That's exactly the reaction he wants. The more he upsets people like you the happier he will be. Why not just leave the garbage at the curb, where it belongs?
-
So you don't have to go look
Honestly I would never dream of going and looking. I could really care less what shit they write about Clay. I don't put that crap in my brain. What's the point?

I read there were frost warnings for Northern Minnesota tonight.

Saw Angels and Demons. Eh. I think I read the book faster than I watched the movie.
Really NOT my type of book or movie. Read the book because it's Son #1's favorite and he asked me too. Went to the movie because E really really wanted to see it. She was very disappointed. Felt they left out too much. I can't imagine how long it would have seemed if they had added more. To me anyway. Yeah.

He later explained why.

I may have posted about his already, I can't remember and am too lazy to go back and look. This morning it's just easier to cut and paste.
I'm reading an interesting new book right now.
Appetite for Self Destruction: The Spectacular Crash of the Record Industry in the Digital Age. It's by Steve Knopper who is a contributing editor to Rolling Stone. I'm only up to the chapter on Napster but so far it's pretty interesting.
So far not much mention of RCA or Clive Davis.

Not having watched AI or heard this guy sing, I have noticed people say he's better on ballads. So who really expects that his CD is going to have lots of ballads?

Found this on my college basketball board. Thought it was interesting in light of recent discussion...
Wisconsin decommitment a lesson for message-board miscreants
One pertinent part...
Because this is not a story about Blue and Wisconsin as much as it's a story about message boards, and how total anonymity allows people to attack and attack and attack with little regard for the folks they are attacking. On a personal level, I can't tell you how many wild (and anonymous) words are written about me each month either on message boards or via e-mail; words that question my integrity, background, education, sexuality, hairstyle (that one's open for criticism, I suppose) and anything else you can imagine. Every once in a while, I actually take the time to respond in the most reasonable way I know. And more times than not, I get a response within hours from somebody apologizing and explaining how they would've never been so rude or brash or ignorant if they really believed I would read it.The player being trashed on the message board is a 16 yr old highschool student btw.

A bunch of folks like that as well. Will you share?me... ---->'s are made to share....

Guess not. Her loss.

Clay is allergic to tree-nuts.

I've watched it. It's just SUCH a blatant rip off of PR. Down to just about every last detail. Unfortunately the personalities are NOT up to par.
eta....ducky Let's just say the guy playing Tim Gunn is no Tim Gunn.

couchie...I just couldn't get by the weird hair and eye makeup. Shallow I know.

I've watched Aaron's show a couple of times. It's pretty good. He's so down to earth and real. I haven't seen Adams show yet but it sounds fun. Much better than the original concept he came up with.
I liked the woman too.Ack! Did NOT care for her at. all. I was so scared she would win.
Okay.
Everyone knows how
stupiddisingenuousironic it is for me to watch cooking shows right?

As a wise person once said... I wish I'd faced all of my life's problems when I was 17 and knew everything.
I'm always grateful to have had the experience of working in a high school BEFORE my kids were teenagers. I learned a lot and then found my own to be
pretty darn easyfairly low-maintenance to deal with.edited cuz once was probably enough...
