  1. I have an old Coach bag that my husband bought me for a gift. He picked it out and I really love it. But because of a little screw holding the handle on to the bag I have had to have it repaired many times. The first few times they repaired it for free and even cleaned and polished the bag. More recently I had to send a check with it and they did not clean it up. Change in management.

This evening my husband wanted me to go with him to a bonsai demonstration. He also wanted advice regarding a sutsaki azalea that he was having a problem designing. Unfortunately the session lasted almost three hours and I was bored senseless.

However I did enjoy the guy talking about his philosophy of the art. He starterd out as a water color artist. He talked about being so proud of his work until some guy who had no experience would come up to him and say "I don't like it." He mentioned how much it hurt although he knew the critic had no knowlege upon which to base his criticism.

Whwn he took lessons from a famous Bonsai master, the expert told him not to believe more than 50% of what anyone tells him. It is important to grow and change so don't do what everyone else is doing or has done.

Okay you can all wake up now. :whistling-1:

  2. Strummer 6, thank you for bringing over all of those interview suggestions. I wish i were more organized. Somewhere on the harddrive of at least three computers now...

I also wanted to mention two other radio/tv interviews and a print one as well.

There was an interview within the last year on the Public Radio station in New York by a Leo somebody where he talked about his Unicef travels...he may have just gotten back from Afganistan...A long, well-conducted interview...loved it.

I think this was Leonard Lopat. Very good interview.

  3. Wow you guys have covered a lot of territory since I went to the gym to shake my bon bon to songs with flirticious and girlicious in them. Someone asked the instructor if she's a big fan of Project Runway. After that we emptied the garage into the SUV and went to the dump. It's actually quite luxurious, paved and all.

Sorry about your MIL Iseemee. It's nice that you maintained a relationship with her.

I bought a clothesline two months ago and haven't put it up yet due to our deck cleaning and the amount of birds that hang out in our woods. Might have to wash things several times.

I'm sure Clay is like most of us and has good moods and bad moods. I remember being surprised at several concerts when the lights when down and his smile turned into a somberness. Based on comments from those he has worked with, he does sound like an all around good guy and fun to be with.

I don't think love songs lend themselves to silliness nor do songs describing a period of maturation. If Clay ever does a kids album I think he will let his silly loose.

Scarlett and Kandre, have a great time.

  4. Other interviews that I enjoyed (other than those already mentioned):

    1. Tonight Show when Clay brought along the film of his throat. Didn't he say it reminded him of a gynecological exam. EEp! :sayitagain:

    2. The Walmart Interviews from ATDW. He was interviewing for an announcer, I think. :cryingwlaughter:

    3. The Valentine Candy song on Kimmel. :loveletter:

I dvr'd the Rachel Ray Show and watched it tonight. Very good interview. It reminded me of the CNN interview about UNICEF and Myanmar (sp).

After our fifth visit from the Time Warner folks, I think our digital is good to go. At first the guy refused to help me with the dvd player I was setting up. Since we didn't yell and thanked him for fixing the cable, he showed me how to set up the dvd. Seems like you need three remotes to operate it. Oy!

ETA: I'll second that motion to keep the current banner for a while.

  5. Add me to the no vacation list. In fact I've been working around the house. I even vacuumed today which is the chore I hate the most.

My vacation will be going to Spamalot again. Of course we always arrange family get togethers when I head North. I think I'm leaving Mr. Fear home this time. That'll be our vacation.

Hope everyone has great vacations. :canfly: I invited our cat sitter over to eat tonight so I guess I'd better get going. She's a friend too who just so happens to have a pet sitter business. :splatt:

  6. My youngest son has had many years of problems with focusing and the resulting anger when he can't. He was never on medication as it was determined that none would help him. I think I've said it before that he has atypical ADHD.

As a youngster he did really well with tutoring. His tutor was a teacher who was staying at home to raise her kids. She was exceptional at identifying problems and working with him on them. I was sorry when she went back to work again.

After reaching his mid thirties he seemed determined to help himself. He is on a carb free diet. He lost quite a bit of weight and has less problems focusing and organizing. Last year after a job interview that went bad, he was given prozak to calm him down, but I think that was just temporary.

He is still on track to get his master's degree in December and seems to be doing quite well at working a full time job in management and going to school at night. He seems to know what he wants and how to get it now. So now my older son who never had any problems growing up is questioning what he has done with his life and what he should do with the rest of it. Oy! Thank goodness he has always found a way to take care of himself.

  7. Brought this post over from CV:

Hi all - I don't post much but lurk on CV almost everyday - I have to ask for a candle for one of our very devoted members of CV, CH, & CB - Clayzedover - She had a stroke on Friday and is in the hospital - Right now she is paralyzed on her left side. I know she couldn't wait to see Clay again in Spamalot and was planning on going to the Gala . Let's all pray for her. I don't post on CH and I know she is an active member over there so if someone can bring this post over so they will know what happened I would appreciate it. I'll keep everyone informed of her condition Thank You, Geri

I believe she posts here too. Wishing her a fast and complete recovery.

  8. Or that ultimate question...... did they put the placenta in the freezer or bury it in the back yard?

Well we did see that photo of him with an aluminum foil covered plate at the hospital. Could be like when we visited a nephew working at Mt Mitchell in NC as a forestry student. He served us lunch after moving around all the dead vols he had in the fridge to study later. Whatever we ate tasted good.

I really don't need details about Clay and Jaymes' relationship. As long as they are both happy. I think I'm almost as happy as they are about Parker. Just think about what started as a teensy tiny speck has made at least two people very happy.

And if people think C & J's relationship is weird, they haven't met playbiller's and my families. :lilredani: I think we could write a book.

  9. Happy Birthday cha cha

    :04: :fest09: :hb2: :2164: :partygirl::fest06::nanarow:

Wow you guys are talkative. Took a while to catch up.

I guess I'll be making it up the highway once again to see Spamalot. Hopefully Mr. Fear will accompany me. It's a long drive.

The hospital photos in High Definition are quite good. It appears that some were taken at an angle because the birth day photos Clay is much slimmer. I tried to copy them but this laptop is not good for HD quality.

After four trips we have the dvr and HD working at our house . They had to send out the big guns. He determined that they will come back and rewire everything for the cable. I guess we have to hide the other three computers in our house since we only pay for one. EEck! :scream:
  10. Well, if I stuck to my guns, I wouldn't have bought AIW at Walmart --- or several copies of OMWH w/bonus at Walmart. We all have our price.

Although I felt bad walking into Walmart, I felt really bad when I added a few other things to my purchases. I'm over it.

    Okay, I'll stop!

    Those are so cute.

Here's one of Parker's new outfits:

    Those are so cute.

I don't remember anything about my kids other than kicking my husband out of the room when I was in labor. He thinks he's so funny and I didn't.

I waited for the video clack. I will never go to any of those sites either. I also hate when someone links to a gossip site and doesn't give you a clue. Someone did this on another board and I ended up at Perez Hilton with window after window opening up. I had to shut off the computer and clean up the spyware as soon as I turned it on again.

I'm probably the only one who think Clay looks cute in those cargo pants and plaid shirt. I love plaid and have quite a few myself. I never ever thought he was a slob. I'm quite messy myself.

The weather in NC has been so much nicer these last few days in the mid eighties and less humid. It was perfect weather to bring home a baby. I hope parenthood is all that they hoped it would be.

  11. And bottle, heee yep sounds very professional. What did that numerologist say about business acumen... so maybe he'll head an accounting firm.

Hush your mouth couchie. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. :cryingwlaughter: Hopefully Parker will find a less tedious and more monitarily rewarding business to go into.

I can understand those fans not happy with Clay's decisions. Personally I am ecstatic over this since I am so fond of things that make Clay happy. But I won't spend a lot of time trying to convince anyone to agree with me. Some of those people who disagree just keep posting the same thing over and over ad nauseum.

And I really take offense at those calling Clay a liar and wrong wrong wrong without any disclaimer "jmo or ymmv".

    And that's jmo. :8:

Thanks for counting down aikim. I must be desperate enough that I'll probably watch Rachel Ray and the View repeats. This technally challanged person is finally getting a dvr so I can replay them over and over. I had forgotten how much I had enjoyed Clay on Scrubs until I watched it on tv last week. :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  12. I truly appreciate those among us who are high-minded and trying to understand those who are disappointed in Clay or think children should only be conceived the old-fashioned way by two married people (of opposite sexes).

I, however, admit only to thinking, "GOODBYE YOU BITCHES AND GOOD RIDDANCE!!!"

    So shoot me.

Wandacleo, I must idolize you as I am no longer taking the high road.

    <Sorry I'm over it.>

    Cindilu :naughtywag:

  13. Playbiller, I believe Aiken is his maternal grandparents last name.

I was trying to think of an adequate name for Clay and Jaymes relationship as we know it. Finally I came up with commitment. They have made a lifelong committment to each other which cannot ever be broken for the lifetime of baby Parker. And like wandacleo said sometimes marriages can have spouses that are not as loving as their (Clay and Jaymes) relationship. The baby comes first now in their lives.

I reported a hateful comment on the OFC, I only wish others that disagree with her post would not keep quoting it. It could go on forever. Ignore is my favorite action in these cases.

  14. Wow! I am so excited. I didn't know it would affect me at all.

    Congratulations Clay and Jaymes

It's a boy. And a good size one too, considering how small Jaymes is. As I said when the news first leaked, What a lucky baby. Loved that Clay blogged it even though I was at pilates at the time, standing on one foot with my eyes closed trying not to fall.

He never forgets to say that he loves us fans. I think this is the start of a new Clay and hopefully all the losers will leave him alone. :F_05BL17blowkiss:
