  1. Here's hoping that all FCAers will be covered today in the gala ticket sales. :thbighug-1: Please post any extra tickets that you may end up with here on main....likewise, post if you strike out and are in need of a ticket. Hopefully between all of us we can make sure everyone gets what they need.

    :word:

Good luck everyone!! I am trying today as well, for a friend who has no computer access at the moment (wouldncha know??)............ :friends:

    :fca:

    Yikes.

  2. OH and FromClaygary you should have kicked me off the computer. I would have shared.

Heh!! It's good for my tolerance of the shakes to be away from it for a bit....you're a good read-out-loud'er!

We had a wicked, wicked storm here last night that seemed to go on forever. The worst lightning I've seen in years, some hail, huge winds that knocked over my tomato plants (that were caged) and thunder that was out of this world. I went to bed about an hour after it started and it still raged on, waking the dog up with a massive clap of thunder at one point. Sure seems to have cooled things off this morning, since we were up in to the 40s with the humidex yesterday. However, the forecast is for more of the same today.

Yep, that was it!! Being on the 400 in that was not so good. There were people pulled off the road all the way along, but even that's dangerous on the highway....and you never know if it's going to peter out or do that all night long.

  3. I've been several days with no computer access, and I know I'm late, but just wanted to say a belated but heartfelt

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY

To our dear little Sweet P:

    Parker Foster Aiken

I love the new name of the charity and as well as being proud of Clay et al I am so proud of the Clay Nation too. A lot of us knew the name but did not let on...quite a feat for us don'tcha think?

I absolutely do!!..............and I thank you and all the rest for doing that!

((((merrieeee, georgiesmybaby and anyone else who might need one))))

Huge big storm here tonight on my way home........must have been 70 mph winds, hard to keep the car on the road....and heavy rain, and lightning everywhere! I was very glad to see home! 30 kmh all the way from about Alliston. :Imok:

  4. I have recently entered the world of Facebook...have no clue what I am doing; but I wanted to be a fan of the Inclusion Project, so I bit the bullet and joined up.

Just look for Glinda, The Good Witch, that is me! Didn't want to use a real picture and since I am an Ozophile...I thought it was appropriate...figured I would scare people off if used the Wicked Witch! :cryingwlaughter:

    Kim

THAT's why FB is down....it was Glinda, the good witch!! :hysterical:

  5. :hysterical: Did ya happen to notice I was the 4th person to sign up on the Foundation's page on FB? :crapsign: I think I almost beat Aron & Clay. :hahaha: FLUKE. I was searching to see if they had updated Causes, and that popped up, so I joined. Cripes, I prefer to be more inconspicuous.

 Nohing better than being 4th  I just think it's very, very cool to see all the "family" members signed up there; or at least, all the ones that have FB accounts! All the names we mentioned last night...I miss them too! I think the only ones I missed seeing are Quiana and Angie, and I'm sure they'll get there. :) I have no idea why that tickles me so much, but it just does.

  6. Thanks for this! I have read some really stupid stuff about the acronym already. :whistling-1: God, some people amaze me. (Hee, does anyone remember Clay's definition of "amaze"? Think Asheville DCAT.)

:hysterical: Yep!! I haven't seen anything other than the "famous marketing guru" spreading her venom...but thanks for the heads-up gmb!

My mouth tends to go with "Inclusion Project"...think that'll work, gmb?

  7. Did I forget to mention that I am proud to be a fan of humanitarian Clay? The foundation (I assume it is still a foundation) is an important part of Clay's life that we are all involved in to varying degrees.

Count me in for the same.

Of course, it helps when the co-founders have such great smiles...

OMG, ldyj, WHERE did that picture come from???!! I absolutely LOVE that!! Is it recent? It looks it...

  8. I too like that they kept the same logo (gives a sense of continuity) and will get used to the new name in time. I think I'm just soooooooo used to "TBAF" that "NIP" isn't quite the same. I do like how much more descriptive it is, though -- to me anyway.

I love that blogging fool. Even if he's not blogging what "we" want, I still feel his joy and excitement in the new project, and I certainly appreciate that.

BTW...Reed Kelly is a fan of the National Inclusion Project on Facebook. :flirtysmile3:

....and Emma Bubel, and Nick and Deborah Leisey, and Jamie B.....:). So nice to "see" everyone there...and so many being added, you can hardly keep up to it! It's like trying to read Clay's blog comments

I'm excited :dancingpickle: and a bit teary *sniff* :flirtysmile3:

  9. :flirtysmile3::flirtysmile3::flirtysmile3:

    :dancingpickle: :dancingpickle: :dancingpickle:

    National Inclusion Project!

Be sure and click "share" as you get some really nice choices to help spread the message on FB

(my bolding) Can anyone help me with this? Obviously I'm an idiot, but I don't see an option to "Share"...and I'd love to!!

    I get:

beside the logo: Donate, Connect, Events, Shop, and the Gala announcement

at the top: Programs, get involved, news&events, about us, resources, contact.

I've tried clicking on each of these, and I see no "Share"......????? What am I missing?

ETA: never mind....I just found it! For other blind people, it's waaaaaaaaaaaaay down at the bottom of the page...you need to scroll down, under the Mitsubishi logo...pretty cool! Be sure to select your choice of "thumbnail"..there are several.

ETA2 just because I can: on a personal note....really glad they kept the same logo (ie, the flower) and colors

  10. I seem to always choose Clay in a suit. I loved when he wore the striped shirts and polka dot ties. I hope I'm still around to vote for Clay someday. He dresses like a politician. A well dressed politician at any rate. We will be needing a new senator in NC soon. I like the independence of his mind. He doesn't seem to belong to a particular party as his criticism of our Democratic Gov showed.

All this because of a picture. :cryingwlaughter:

Yeah. That. Even though the US might frown on my voting for him....:)
