  1. liney How about you distract them while I go in for the kill?

    :cryingwlaughter::cryingwlaughter::cryingwlaughter:

    Let's see...

Jerome... I have some Better Than Sex cake in the dining room, wanna have some????

Reed... I think you just got a call to star on Broadway in a new show at the Shubert, but you gotta show up right away! HURRY!

    Pssst... merrieeee... you're clear!

O.M.G... claylove... that is a fantastic picture!!! I'm sorry... I just drooled all over it! Tag it quick... I predict it's gonna travel all over the fandom. That is one great picture!

  2. Thank you for the photos bottlecap and FromClaygary. I wonder if this man is an agent or PR person.

It is good to see Clay looking well and happy. I am pleased for Clay that he has had his jaw problem corrected.

I love this man and his voice but....I got imprinted with a different face and I look at him now and really, it is taking me a long time to get used to this new face.

Despite all the changes brought by maturity, hair style and weight loss or gain, the basic structure of his face didn't change, now his face has a different structure and I just hope that soon, please soon, I will look at a photo of the new Clay and consider it as beautiful as the pre surgery photos that have been posted in the FCA Photo Tourney.

Call me shallow if you will but if I can't share these thoughts here, where can I?

Lotus... you are only shallow if his looks are all that attract you to him. Since that is not the case, what we have here is a preference. I think a lot of people associate early Clay with all the excitement that was going on then. I love pictures of him since his coming out, cause I project onto him the happiness I imagine he is feeling to be free of the charade.

Some of his earlier pictures were breathtakingly beautiful, as are some of his more recent pictures... just in a different way.

In looking over "that guy's" flicker photos and he has a large number of pictures of him with celebrities, including rock stars, TV stars, everything -- and the location is almost always at the airport -- so he's either a limo driver, or an airline/airport exec who collects pictures of himself with celebrities.

I am very used to Clay's "new" face, and I have just the opposite reaction when I look at early photos. In so many of them his face is almost too thin and drawn. He was a cutie then, don't get me wrong ... but the fuller face is symmetrical and classically handsome, and he's still cute. His forehead is proportionate to his entire face now, instead of being exceedingly high. Maturity has been very very good to Clay. And no sign of male pattern baldness -- even with all the dyes, bleaches, highlights ... and hats! He's gonna look hot for decades.

keeping... bolding above is absolutely true!!! S.W.O.O.N.

TTPax... THANK YOU! I love that cropped pic of Clay. It is my screensaver as we speak!

  3. This was a hard one. He does have the look of Parker in #2. The "I'm waiting with bated breath to see if you do something funny that I can laugh at" look. :cryingwlaughter:

However, I voted for #1 cause he just looks so happy to be himself and still have people want to photograph him.

  4. God after looking at that photo above how can anyone say that man is not beautiful?

merrieeee.... who says Clay isn't beautiful... who... I'll knock them into next week!!! :cryingwlaughter:

Ok, sometimes he's cute, sometimes he's handsome, sometimes he's dorky-looking (bow-tie, anyone), and sometimes he is breathtakingly beautiful!

That's just one facet of the man that makes him so dang fascinating. You never know what you are going to get with him from one second to the next.

  5. I just watched the clack of Ft. Myers MOAM. W.O.W. That was awesome! I thought that the girls came out and gave him an ovation or some kind of acknowledgement that it was a tremendous performance. Am I remembering right? Is there clack of that part?

I know people talk about Orlando's MOAM, too. Was that the one I was thinking they made a big deal about?

    Anyone know?

    Thanks.

  6. Hubba Hubba! I lurved that show cindilu and your montage!!

    Hot bois

As an aside - Though I realize it is just a tv show, it does make me wonder if there is such a thing as many truly monogamous relationships between two men. Not that it really matters. heh

tree... I know of one couple who have been together for the last 12 years. I do think they exist, otherwise there would not have been so many wanting to get married. Wasn't Sulu and his guy together for many many years before they got married?

Caro... I just spent a looonnnggg time enjoying your blog and the pictures therein. I printed one of your clickables for September's calendar. Thanks!

  7. This is just too cute!

    From CV:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inZ4C62xe4g

merrieeee... thanks! I loved that YouTube. What a voice he had from a youngster. I was disappointed though that they didn't use the part from the Boy's Choir where he did the Jerry Lee Lewis part that he preproduced on the JBT. I LOVED seeing him do almost the same move when he was 11ish and when he was an adult. Love that man!!!!!

  8. Eeeeeeeeehhhhhh!! I just found my University friend, that was my bridesmaid when I got married on Facebook! :dancingpickle: Lost track of her 35 years ago!!

FromClaygary... How cool is that! My DD found friends from HS on FB.

hey-lookie me--I have an avatar!! Thanks guys for the help!!

Penny.... Congrats on the purdy avi! May it pop up frequently! :cryingwlaughter:

One of the few pictures I voted for that won. Love that picture but also like the blond man in the picture yesterday. I can not wait to see him on something again and of coarse hear him again.

I am sitting here in my bike clothes waiting for the weather to clear. Very cloudy and the radar looks like rain. The temp is only in the upper 50's and to be rained on would be very cold. We were suppose to do a training ride of 80 miles today, hopefully we will be able to take off in the next hour.

gbm... good luck! Can you wear a trash bag or something light like that over your clothes to stay dry? You put arm holes in them and they do work as ponchos. I've done it in my Girl Scout leader days.

  9. aikim... thank you so much for bringing over that twitter picture. Everyday Clay... still having people want their pictures with him... his career and life are just fine!

My deeply profound summary from today's thought provoking posts:

I fucking love ATDW! Especially Right Here Waiting! Fucking awesome!!

I have belonged to and possibly still hold my membership card to the FURCA club.

I can.not.fucking.wait for Clay's new kick ass CD. Whatever it may be, his fucking fantastic voice will be on it!

And yes, I want to fuck Clay Aiken :flirtysmile3:

    tree.... BWAH!!!

    BTW

I did get an e-mail from Mohegan Sun's guest relations dept. At first for some reason it went to my trash box. Glad I checked there. The woman told me they had many request for handicap seating but they would do their best with my request. When Mom & I went to pick up the tickets. We were given tickets in the first section last row :) (no stairs!!). So finally mom got to see her dream concert. My dad came too and he said that Barry Manilow was the best concert he had ever gone too. Dad said "you know some singers just go out & sing but you could tell BW really loved what he was doing". The 2 big screens showed clips of BW singing through the years. He had 3 encores. One of which was for Mandy. The screens showed clips of him singing the song on TV for the first time in the 70's then the lights came on & he came out on stage singing the song. They handed out glow sticks for the last song that said Fanillow on them :) and some gold streamers shot out into the audience from the stage after the last song. It was a lot of fun and I was so happy that my mom finally got to see her dream concert.

tribeca... so glad to hear you and mom and dad had a great time with Barry and you got the seats you needed! YAY!!!

More glasses pictures. Also, if you save them into photobucket, there is an option there for resizing it to avatar size.

I thought for sure I had one of the Disney green striped shirt with glasses that is one of my favorites, but I couldn't find it. Dang!

  10. #2 reflects the soul of Clay which is beautiful, but #1 was when he more or less "gave the finger" to Idol and I loved it!!!

at... you are me! :cryingwlaughter: Glad you're joining in!

Canfly... sup is short for "What's up" just in case you weren't kidding about not knowing. LOL

  11. it is all about the voice. Well, that and the face, body, intelligence, humor, compassion, etc. Great hair too. And the most beautiful smile on the planet.

Hmm maybe there is one "little" thing you left out? :whistling-1:

merrieeee.... little???? ahhhh..... now if you had said extra-large... :cryingwlaughter:

Yesterday, my 13 year old grandson and I spent the day together driving around and doing stuff. In the meantime we listened to Clay on my CD player. Scotty got to choose the tracks..from MOAM.. Invisible, Perfect Day and Run to Me; from ATDW.. HYCA and Broken Wings, and from OMWH.. Falling, EIDN, OMWH and MDYK. We also had an in-depth discussion about Clay's relationships with Jaymes, Reed and, of course, Parker. Scotty thinks the way things have turned out for Clay is very cool and if anyone can handle it, Clay can. It's pretty amazing how much wisdom can come from a 13 year old. He had listened to LTS audio in my car on a previous day out and when I asked if he thought Clay would be a good father, he commented. "Well, he sure knows what NOT to do!"

Claymatron... kewl grandson... very smart, too!

KAndre.... I'm with you... I like a tiny fraction less than all of what Clay has sung. I loved ATDW cause those songs that everyone said had been played to death... I didn't remember any of them much cause I wasn't listening to radio in those days. Now, the one I did know well, HYCA, which I admit I was tired of Dolly's version, I absolutely adore the way he slowed it down and made a whole different song outa it. Sexy is right!!!

Maybe one day a social psychologist can do a paper on why everyone else in the industry can record "standards" or "classics" but Clay records "covers" and gets pilloried for it. I have never uderstood it.

clayz... it is under Television/Kimmel/Interview & Performance dated 060926

  12. And my husband's family - chocolate cake, polish sausage and hard boiled eggs...

    spikesmom.... together???? O.M.G. :cryingwlaughter:

I loved his answers last night...

I get the feeling that since Clay has come out, he is not so afraid anymore of just being himself and letting the chips fall where they may. Those hanging on to their dreams for him need to let those dreams go and let him create his own dreams. I imagine I'll like his dreams jest fine!!!

Hopefully, he is financially solid. He has a family, a hunk of a boyfriend, and a wonderful new record label. For him, life is good. Seeing him this happy makes my life good, too!!!

I imagine he got real tired of the pretending to be what others wanted and is on a "this is who I am" kick that I love. The only thing that would disappoint me is if he never tours again. No matter what he has recorded, covers or not, his tours always have had a mix of tempos and been just plain F.U.N. and very entertaining. Unless he did the same sort of thing on tv, I needs him to tour oncet in a while.

Next year would be good, Clay! :cryingwlaughter:

  13. tree.... S.W.O.O.N.... verra verra niiiiiice :cryingwlaughter:

    katy... you're very welcome.

  14. keeping... :cryingwlaughter:

I am so happy to see that! It would be nice if nastiness was cut down.

I wonder if the ACLU will challenge that ruling???

In my opinion, people should have the freedom to say whatever they want... other people should then have the right to call them on it and sue if they feel damaged.

Wonder if this one will show up in the contest.... if not, it should (tongue hangs out)

  15. Smartcookie.... :welcome22:

    {{{{{{claylove and mom and dad and family}}}}}

Just popping in to say hi!

I'm loving the pics...that is one sexay man!

Things around my way are looking a little bit better and it looks like I will be able to go to the gala after all. Yeah!

merrieeee.... Yay! I'm glad things are looking better for you!!!

Just got an interesting phone call from my MIL...my BIL's daughter is going to be on Extreme Makeover! They live in Champaign, Illinois and the show blew into town today and they are going to be tearing down her house on Thursday...I guess they have to have the new house up in about a week. Everyone is very excited; although there is some concern about how they will handle things when it is all done since their taxes, etc. will go up. If you can't afford a $250,000 house before Extreme Makeover, how can you afford it afterwards? It would be interesting if they did a show going back to some of these people a year later to see how they are faring.

They have a 100 year-old house now that is being torn down...they are out of town right now, so the show will be packing up their house and putting things in storage so they can get building...not sure if I would like that.

It will be interesting though, to see how this all works out...I don't watch the show, but I will have to watch this episode.

    Kim

aikim... keep us posted. I went to school in Champaign Urbana and got married there, too! I'd love to watch that episode also.

You know if Clay had done a tour this year it's doubtul I would have been able to attend at all. But I'd still be listening on the cellcert rather than sitting here laughing at iCarly. Sam is the best teen character ever. Color me pathetic. Counting down to the first day of school and no more Disney channel, Nik, or Cartoon Network.

Couchie... hey, I have grandchildren and have watched iCarly, too. Sam is wonderful! It'll be interesting to see where that actress ends up one day! We need a new crop of comedic actresses.

FromClaygary.... Good luck on your interview!!!

Caro... I just caught up on your blog! Loved it, especially Lap and Lacie... LOL Now I have to go watch Ft. Myers clack and find the clack from Orlando where Clay/Quiana trade places. I don't remember that one for some reason.

  16. Tough... tough...

I, also, loved his first Kimmel appearance AND the outfit!!! (my strangeness).

However, he looked every bit the star when he strutted onto the stage for AI3. LOVED his hair, his suit, his manner, his voice. They talked about triple-platinum and his tour with Kelly. It was just awesome in every aspect.

#2 it is! with a sigh and a grin for #1

  17. {{{{{jmh and mom}}}}} Glad it turned out ok for you both!!!

th_Moscow3-1.jpg Just a bit of a Reed update, so scroll if you don't care. :cryingwlaughter:

Per his facebook, Reed left for Paris again yesterday. Mylene Farmer has a round of 5 huge stadium concerts coming up in September, and the crew will be spending two weeks prior to the first concert in Geneva rehearsing. Because the tour has reserved the Geneva stadium for the rehearsal period, a major soccer match had to be relocated - so this is a big deal.

Following the Mylene fan boards and blogs (using Google translator) has been a hoot, because they are just like us. One of the blog entries I read was all about the fans' plans to celebrate Mylene's birthday during her show on September 12 by breaking out the glowsticks during a particular song and then releasing white balloons. I haven't dug around deep enough to see if there's a rival fan board that's moaning and groaning about how lame those plans are and how they will refuse to participate, but I'm sure it's out there. :whistling-1:

bottle.... BWAH!!! Wonder if Reed gets to keep any of his costumes. I'll bet there is a couple Clay might like quite a bit... :cryingwlaughter:

goldarngirl... thanks for the montage.... it was GREAT!!!

Speaking of Harry Potter.... I went to see it at an IMAX theatre and the opening sequence, with the 3-D glasses, made me queasy... LOL All that swooping around London.... up and down.... back and forth.... around corners.... F.A.S.T. :cryingwlaughter:

  18. Ahem - I have decided on some entertainment tonight since all of y'all have doing concerts and vacations and babies - I am forcing taking my sister with me to The House of Blues, where we will see...

    wait for it....

    wait for it....

"Black in Black & Tragedy: Metal Tribute to the BeeGees"

    Woo Hoo!

Oddly enough, none of the men in my life (including my musician BIL) seemed to wanna go! I was shocked, SHOCKED I tell ya!

I will tell y'all about it when we get back, unless you want a cellcert.

This is just getting in the correct mindset for the Gala - I need to do a compare and contrast.

    KAndre... I'm shocked too....

What the hey is a Metal Tribute to the BeeGees???? :cryingwlaughter: However, I will say that I love the BeeGees so any approximation of their music/beat is "ok by metm CHA" :cryingwlaughter:

    FromClaygary... :bdayparty2::bdayparty2::bdayparty2:

Boy, am I beat.... my DD is having a party tonight so I went over to help her set up. I was on my feet for 4 solid hours cutting/arranging veggie trays, fruit trays, salads, cracker trays, bread, drinks, etc. Then I made a couple of flower arrangements for her and fixed the DGD's hair and tied the bows on their dresses (age 3 and 5). Phew!!!

I was thrilled to see the photo contest used one of my fave pictures. Just looking at his gorgeousness from the Trya photo shoot soothed my tired soul! Ahhhhhhh! Problem is, if I thud, I may not get back up... :cryingwlaughter:
