  1. Here's a really neat montage; "If Johnny Met Clay" (for all you young'ns; Johnny is Johnny Carson; Tonight Show host before Jay Leno). Yeah, they would have been great together! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXM5Nqob55g

  6. The picture of Reed is from his Private Myspace; I edited out of my earlier post because I do not feel comfortable posting private pictures. Not sure what the policy is here about that; but just thought I would let everyone know. Kim
  7. I am removing the picture because I discovered that it was from Reed's Private Myspace and I don't feel comfortable posting private pictures. Kim
  8. Great news about Clay being at the awards show...something more to add to the countdown! Random Clay sighting from Canuck at CV: Anyone know what show Will Ferrell is in? Kim
  9. Children of the Corn movie was based on a short story by Stephen King...kids take over a town, kill all the adults and worship some entity that resides in the corn...I believe the story takes place in Nebraska. Kim
  10. Love the new banner...just about smacks you in the face when you log on...but I am not complaining. Clay as a designer...my first thought was maybe he would do his version of Mr. Blackwell! Kim
  11. I remember when I went from dial-up to high speed internet...I was a downloading fool! I remember early on in the fandom waiting two hours or more for something to download and totally amazed when it only took a couple of minutes with high speed! Enjoy! And don't miss any of the Stump The Band clack from the JBT...best Clay moments and really shows how good he is...especially When a Man Loves a Woman. Kim
  12. Good Morning Everyone, waves back to Jamar That was such a fun concert; hotter than heck though and I don't mean just because of Clay...all these clack memories...I think I may have to go watch a few! 9 Days until The First Day of Spring! 20 Days until Playlist: The Very Best of Clay Aiken! is available! 28 Days until Judge Aiken is holding Court on ANTM! Everyone have a great day! Kim
  13. Good Morning Everyone, 10 Days until The First Day of Spring! 21 Days until Playlist: The Very Best of Clay Aiken is available! 29 Days until Judge Aiken is holding Court on ANTM! Everyone have a great day! Kim
  14. Good Morning Everyone, I don't really do Romance movies per se...but I do like romantic comedies...but I am pretty much old school when it comes to those...Tracy and Hepburn; really anything from the 40's and 50's and also Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. And Casablanca is my favorite movie of all time although I never really thought of it as a Romance movie. 11 Days until The First Day of Spring! 22 Days until Playlist: The Very Best of Clay Aiken is available! 30 Days until Judge Aiken is holding Court on ANTM! Everyone have a great day! Kim
  15. That clip is from when he was doing Hometown Connection in NC...he was maybe 19-20. Kim
  16. Nope, you're not the only one...but then I never worry about Clay or his career. Never have understood why some fans go into panic mode when ever there is a "drought" (and how much I hate that word and wish we could get rid of it from the fan lexicon)...to me it is just normal process of being in the industry...sometimes you are visible and sometimes you are not. There is always so much we don't know versus what we do and even if we don't know what Clay is doing 24/7; doesn't mean he isn't working or planning things. I actually enjoy the down times because that means there will be something fun to look forward to in the future. Kim
  17. I donated a copy of "Our Friend Mikayla" to our library also, but since I do the cataloguing, no problem with it getting on the shelf. I also do withdrawing and it hasn't come back yet for that...so I am assuming it is still on the shelf...will have to check tomorrow when I go to work. Kim
  18. If he shows up on Idol and if he sings...and that's a big IF in my book...I would hope he would sing a new song from his new CD...the one he is putting together on his own label with Jaymes. Brought to you by Extrapolations R' Us. (I know nothing; tm Sgt. Schultz) Kim
  19. Thanks for bringing that over, Kim! My guess is that the something that might be up....is Charles Boyd's birthday party! ....but who knows!! That would be my guess too! Kim
  20. Good Morning Everyone, Couchie Yes, Libraries still take donations. 12 Days until The First Day of Spring! 23 Days until Playlist: The Very Best of Clay Aiken is available! 31 Days until Judge Aiken is holding Court on ANTM! Everyone have a great day! Kim
  21. I don't get it .... some people don't think wackos and posers are God's children, too? No, I think this person believes they are God's Children and Clay shouldn't be calling them wackos and posers even though they are. Kim
  22. ldyjocelyn, I spent hours and hours in the library in grade school (the Matilda connection) and I think that's what led me to one of favorite jobs ever -- helping build, index, search through and maintain efficient databases, because what's a database really except one very large library of records. This is going to sound silly to people born here but as I was growing up I'd heard about how extensive the libraries here were and how there were multiple copies of popular books -- and it was a big item in the Pro column for moving here for me. We used to have such long waiting lists for our Nancy Drew / Hardy Boys copies back home and you could forget about ever getting one of the Tintin or Asterix and Obelix books unless you got in under special circumstances. I'm still envious and somewhat sad about seeing shelves and shelves of books just lying there. In my part of the world, the cost of books and magazines was so high in proportion to other things that books were treasures to be shared around like the precious items they are. Speaking only for my library...but if you look at our statistics; the highest rating circulation items are DVD's, CD's, Video Games and Electronic Books...sad to say, it doesn't seem like books are that popular anymore...I can't imagine anything more pleasant than curling up on the couch, wrapped in an afghan reading a book. Don't think an electronic book would give me the same pleasure. Kim
  23. Oh I agree...don't think it is fans at all...guess I would have better things to do with $30 than to sign up at the fan club of someone I don't like just to cause trouble. But it doesn't surprise me at all. Kim
