Way too many great posts to WORD... so I'll just WORD you all!!! LOVE "let Clay be human"... and that's not to say one shouldn't voice their opinion when it's not all rosy and full of sunshine, you should... but good grief - once probably is enough! We've got so many dead horses in this fandom that I'm surprised horses aren't on the endangered species list!! (and if they are forgive me for being so stoopid.... ) Really looking forward to meeting some of you in Merrillville - wish it could be ALL of you... Heh. Only if it's the honesty that they want to hear.... I'm one of those that may not make it to NYC for a show (although I'm still holding out a small delusional hope... no, ldyjocelyn, I haven't actually started walking yet! ) and if I don't go, would I love to see some quick video? Absolutely, I can't lie... but if it doesn't show up, I'll suck it up... Lord knows I have to suck it up for other stuff - stuff that really matters in my life... so you do what you gotta do... I don't capture clack (video or even pictures), I do appreciate the hell out of it and the people who gather it... and I imagine the Clack gatherers are deciding what they will or won't do... quite frankly, I'm glad it's not me because I think they are damned if they do and damned if they don't on this one... Oh, and, keepingfaith, WORD to your post... and BWAH to your last line!!!!

Well, dang... of course, almost every year I have one set of lights that decides it's going to die the day after I have the whole damn tree decorated... I've taken to putting the tree up, adding the lights and leaving it for several days before I do anything else... nothing sucks more than trying to add a set of lights once the tree is already decorated... Maybe I need a mini tree... like 2' or smaller...

Can you pick me up along the way? I'll bring lots of hot coffee. You betcha! I have to come your way on the walk cuz there's no way in hell I'm swimming across Lake Michigan to go east!! Hee... yes, I should probably look at airfare, train and bus... it would sure beat the heck out of walking.... of course, think of how svelte I might look once I got there from that walk... guess that's one way to get some exercise in!

Ok, I'll go with you on that one... I usually don't try to borrow trouble - I don't need the angst... it just occurred to me that now knowing how much he doesn't want it out there, those with nothing better to do with their lives, will try to find a way to do it just because they know it will piss him off... (just ignore my poor use of grammar, etc., ok?).... Guess I need to find a way to get to NYC on a shoestring, huh? I better start walking now...

Of course, you're right... I'm just being selfish... I'd rather go without than to see him get into any kind of trouble or get heat because of his fans... I can see where it would be totally embarrassing for him... but as others have said (and maybe I read it on another board), other people could still do it and not be specifically be his fans... and given the shitheads out there, it wouldn't surprise me if someone does it to purposely embarrass him...

Add me to this list... Hopefully, if it doesn't surface until AFTER his run, it won't be so bad?... Not everyone can afford to go to NYC to see this.... I know I'll live without it, but it sure would be nice to see... even if it's just his big number....

I'd like to pay someone too... our tree is still laying in our backyard, but now buried under the 5" or so of snow we got this last week... Every year, the idea of getting a pre-lit artificial tree is sounding better and better... do they come with the ornaments on them already too?

Oh BWAH!!!! Uhhuh. And the sky in my world is this colour. Why do you ask??? Totally works for me! Life in my fandom is much simpler that way...

Nope, not at all. I used to download and watch everything too (multiple views of the same thing from the same venue and then all the venues after that!)... now, I will download if I went to a particular concert but usually only one version of the stuff... and I like the banter from the summer so I did download a lot of that... but with this Christmas tour, I've been very select about what I'm downloading... I love the guy, but I've realized over time that I don't need 20 versions of the same song - even if they are a tiny bit different... since he's pretty much singing straight up this tour, I just wait to hear about something "different", then I might download that... and I only listened on the first couple cellstreams... then I went to two concerts... now I just read the concert threads and see if anything different is going on - my expectation is that there isn't going to be that much different with each show (barring the Aiken Random Lyric Generator (tm someone but I have no idea who))... I may try one or two cellstream concerts between now and Merrillville (when I'm going to be there) but it's not as big a deal as it used to be to hear everything... and part of that is the reception I have with my computer/speakers... I love that people are willing to do it, I just find that I don't HAVE to listen each time... And re: Spamalot clack... would I love for there to be some... yes, because I don't think I'll be getting to it... but if there isn't any, I imagine I'll survive... I certainly do not want anyone to get into any kind of legal/civil trouble while trying to get it... it's not worth that in my opinion...

This is the way I'm approaching this too... sure, do I wish he could have world domination?... sometimes, but then sometimes, not so much. There's a price to be paid when you're THAT popular, I think. And I wonder how much he really wants that... I have no idea and don't pretend to know, but I wonder if he thinks about the price of that kind of fame and is maybe happier this way? I think that's the lighting... I do think his hair is a lighter color than this past summer but not as light as the lighting makes it appear... of course, the closest I've been this tour is about 15-16 rows back so maybe it is lighter up close... It does appear to be a reddish color though...

And weren't there a whole lot of naysayers the first night of the summer tour? Especially over the medleys? People who ended up being ok with it once they saw it and it evolved a little bit? I'm more than willing to wait until I see it live to make up my mind... but I admit it, I'm pretty easy to please so I am ok with what I heard tonight... I'd like to think that he'll be doing this for years to come so there's plenty of time for all the songs that people don't get now, for shows to have more banter, etc., etc. I like the change ups from year to year... I do love his banter but this is a Christmas show so it doesn't surprise me that there might not be that much of it this year. I love the funny, but maybe this year, this isn't the time or the place...

I feel this way alot when I see how some people post about him - whether it's his hair, his clothes, his weight, his song choices, etc., etc., ad nauseum... it's kind of sad actually. I realize everyone is entitled to their opinion, I just don't get all the angst, all the time... can't really think of anything he's worn, or how his hair is done, or even when he's somewhat stuck his foot in his mouth that makes me up.set. Nope, being a fan of Clay brings me joy and surprises galore and that's the way I like it... if my glasses sound rose colored, keep bringin' on that tint! I'm looking forward to this show - he sounded wonderful - and I don't mind the stories... I cry at sad commercials though so I guess I'd better pack some tissue...

SO.MUCH.WORD!!! I shouldn't be after all this time but I never cease to be amazed sometimes.... there's simply too much in RL to get one's panties in a twist about, I'm not about to do it over a show... if it doesn't bring a person joy why are they still hanging around, you know? Thanks again for this haven in the storm!! I may not talk much, but I'm reading and nodding along with you... and can't wait for Thursday and Friday!

And good luck with the touch pad, although I've already managed to forget who doesn't like it... besides me, that is... I have one on my work laptop and on a regular basis, I move e-mails into the wrong folders accidentally... my fingers hovering over the touch pad gets me in trouble every time... it's always fun trying to find them again...

Oh, thank God... I remember thinking at the time - "Oh no, WTF? What a fashion misstep!" I didn't think the shirt went with the pants AT.ALL! And the shirt, for me, was just all kinds of wrong... I still don't like it.... the song was ok for me - loved the voice! I probably mentioned this somewhere here but the voice had me right away... didn't notice him too much during Hollywood (of course, he wasn't shown all that much in my own defense... ) But Group 2 is where I fell and I was totally pissed that he didn't make it... but AI redeemed itself by bringing him back and that was really all she wrote for me. And I have to admit - didn't see the sexy until AI was all over - I thought he was cute but didn't see the sexy - it was that "OMG, OMG, OMG what was that move?" that caused my demise... I didn't either until the AI tour... I guess since I didn't see the sexy until then, I wasn't looking at the pants so much either... of course, I never looked at that on men up to that point anyway... don't know why but I didn't... not that I didn't smut with the best of them (I did, and still do) but never looked at that... apparently I spent too much time looking at the top half... I will admit to making up for lost time now though...

I'd say you're doing a pretty darn good job!! What a wonderful idea! I'm sorry I missed your initial post about the books... I love books and any time there's an opporunity to pass that love on some how, I'm in!! Luckily I'll be going to this concert, so I can take some with me. I, too, would be interested in any recommendations on what to purchase. I'm ok with going with my gut but if there are any that anyone knows of that would be good ones, I'd love to have some ideas. I never pass up a chance to hit the book store so this is gonna be some fun for me! Yippee!
