  1. Couch Tomato, If I am not there when you get into yes.com, just introduce yourself as new by typing in the dialog box below where you see yes and the smiley faces, then hit enter. I just started this on Monday and had NO clue what to do. Now I am actually helping others and still learning myself. But, I have to warn you--it is addictive!! I am able to spend a lot of time on it right now, because I had foot surgery and cannot get up except for the bathroom. So, I figure this is a good time for me to be productive. (Will not be able to drive for 10 weeks.) I am an active person and do not like to sit around complaining and worrying about things that I cannot control. I am doing this and trying to "always look on the bright side." And I strongly feel that our man has a bright--no--make that brilliant--future!
  2. can you explain Yes.com..I want to help too!! Yay for OMWH!! I will try! First go to yes.com and set up an account. I somehow did it--I think you go to the upper right hand box. It was pretty quick. Once you have done that, type Clay Aiken in the box that says "Search for Channels." Click on that and you will get a microphone with Clay's name. Click on the mic and you will be in a little chat room. Once you get there, we will help yoiu. What name will you use? I am srifan there--Southern Rhode Island Fan. Good luck and hope to see you there.
  3. Not a big poster, but just wanted to say that I love unconventional Clay!! Have been over at yes.com voting when he gets a spin. Come on over if you can. Figure my time is better spent being proactive and voting and streaming--that can be helpful. Speculating about his private life is not helpful (to Clay), so I am choosing to avoid that! Love this board! Think some folks here might also be "unconventional" and that is all good.
  4. Awww...I remember that! Hey...how about this one, biggie sized? Click twice for full effect. Okay! How many of you "supersized" this last picture and then tried to count the chest hairs?? :Thud
  5. Yup!! I think that car will be pretty full. But, what a ride!!! Funny, I don't like rollercoasters at all. But, this whole Clay thing sure has been one rollercoaster ride for me. One minute I am on Cloud 9 and the next thing I know I am crying my eyes out!!! That picture was posted right when I was crying my eyes out and now I am okay, so thanks!!
  6. If it is wrong, then I will see you in Hell!! (Did the same thing.) And I bet we'll see lots of other fans there, too. LOL
  7. Haven't stopped by to post in a while. Just needed to come here to escape the angst. This CD is freakin' brilliant and I love every song on it. After one finishes, I want to hit "replay," then I remember how good the next song is and I want to hear that one, too!! In an interview not long after MOAM, Clay talked about how difficult it would be to replicate those sales figures and said that if he made a CD he was proud of, he would feel that it was a success regardless of sales. Well, this CD is one HUGE success. I also happen to think that it is going to continue to sell as word gets out about how great it is. If you want to feel good, go over to Amazon and read the reviews (yeah, I know most are fans, but still--he is the only artist in the top few to have 5 stars and over 90 reviews). Well, have to take a quick nap before Leno. I am thrilled that he will sing--thought he was just getting couch time. And yes, I love OMWH for his first single and I think that he sings the shit out of it!!!
  8. Couldn't get the "Satifsy Me" utube to work. I decided after I watched the OHN from CITH in South Bend that I knew exactly what he was thinking. He was thinking, "HOT DAMN! There are some seriously good lookin' women out there in that audience. Think maybe I'd better wear my glasses for the rest of this tour so I can get a better look at them." Hey, lots of other people out there claim to know what he is thinking, so figured I'd put in my two cents.!!
  9. Skybar, I think I also need to take a little break from the boards. You'd think this would be over with by now. No political shows for me, though. I'm going to watch Clay sing OHN from the South Bend CITH. Someone on another board just showed a clip of it where he has a break from singing and you can see his eyes scanning the audience for almost a full minute. I was so fascinated with that little clip that I just went and download the whole song. So, if you've seen it, what do you think--was he undressing us with his eyes or was he just doing a button check?
  10. Not a frequent poster--usually have to come here and post when I am upset--sorry about that!! Have had to do lots of scrolling on other boards during the last 20 hours or so. Was just so upset that so much attention was being given to Clay's decision to skip the matinee stage door. I totally respect and support his decision. There is no way that I or anyone else but him could possibly know exactly why. So many seemed to know what he should or shouldn't have done and what he should learn from this, etc. Sometimes the poor guy just has too many mothers and can't win. On a more positive note--a friend of mine went a few weeks ago and we are going together on April 5. She told me that when she saw him outside at the stage door it was like looking at the sun. Can't wait to go and see that wonderful, glowing man. But, if for some reason he doesn't do the stage door when I am there, you can bet your life I will not complain. He does not owe that to me or anyone else! Lawd Jesus!! Just as I posted this I saw the picture above my post of Clay "French kissing" Moanica. Now, that sure cheered me up!!
  11. OH SHIT!! Can't believe it. Big Patriots fan here. (But, I am a bigger Clay Aiken fan, so I'll be okay.)
  12. Kind of late with this--but just had to say--loved Tom Petty. Always loved "Free Fallin." The thing that really struck me was--here's this guy my age up there performing and you look out into the audience and there are all these PYTs. Then you have this cute guy Clay Aiken who is about half my age and you look out into his audience and.......there I am and lots more just like me. (Yes, I know he also has lots of young fans, too. ) What great exposure for Tom Petty--he is starting a tour in the US and Canada and, you guessed it, tickets go on sale tomorrow. I'm taping Jane Austen, but the way this game is going, don't know why I am watching it and not PBS.
  13. I've never felt that Jerome was there solely to protect Clay from his fans. There are probably threats out there that we are unaware of. Just look at some of the horrible comments that are generated whenever there is a "news" (using the term loosely) article out there and you get an idea of how many crazies there are that would wish Clay harm. I have finally stopped reading those comments as some of them almost made me physically ill.
  14. Muskifest, I'm with you. Just tired, plain tired of the crap that gets printed about Clay. Really just feel physically exhausted today after reading the article and various boards. A little suggestion for Clay--Insist that all interviews be taped. Then when you get misquoted or quotes are taken out of context or some dumb ass reporter makes it sound as if you can't even speak grammatically correct sentences, you'll have proof of what was really said. Maybe if the interviewer knew she was being taped, she wouldn't take such liberties. God, I am pissed. (And that is strong language coming from me.) Well, I do know one thing. Clay will not crack. I believe that titanium is pretty durable.
  15. I'll be there at the 2:00 show on April 5. EEEEEEEE!!
  16. Also dashed home for a quick lunch--couldn't wait until after work! Stood in front of the tv--didn't eat much. Watched three times--it really was a "quickie" and went back to work a happy person. Didn't know that the look on my face was called an ICG. Glad to know that there is a name for it.
  17. Without question--HE IS THE AMERICAN IDOL just as jmh123 said. Or maybe Simon is just jealous because when you go to those gorgeous pictures at the Yahoo site, you can click to "recommend" them. Clay's all have well over 100 "recommends." Simon's picture comes up right after Clay's. Guess how many recommends Simon has------zero!!!
  18. I'll second that thanks to all who are sharing photos, videos and recaps--next best thing to being there. After being on pins and needles all day Friday it was so wonderful when the reports started coming in. Good God, I am so proud of him. (And he's cute, too!!) Funny, after all the different hairstyles--spikes, bangs, light, dark, sideburns or no sideburns--turns out that (to me anyway) his very best look is one where he has been wearing wigs all evening and then takes off the wig and just has natural Clay hair!!! (Well, maybe he had a little help with the blond--but you know what I mean.) He has just never looked better than he does in those autograph signing pictures and videos. Maybe it's just the sheer joy that radiates off him--whatever it is--it's his best look yet.
  19. I am so proud. He always exceeds our expectations. So glad to hear about the crowd's reception. Can't wait to see some stagedoor pictures. Had he already changed out of his costume when he came out. I cannot stop smiling and I don't think I will sleep a wink--yes my laptop is here in bed with me and it is keeping me awake!!
  20. Posted earlier that I'd be sleeping with my laptop tonight. Someone replied that that was an "eHP" thing to do . Here's my question: "Will my iPod be jealous since I usually sleep with it?" So cute on the Yahoo page--top searches: # 2 Are You Smarter Than..... #3 Clay Aiken I think most people would have to say, "No." He is one smart man!! And did I mention that he is also cute. Sorry--very giddy--on pins and needles--can think of nothing but Clay and wish I didn't have to wait until April to see him. All my good wishes are with him for tonight.
  21. Just logged onto my Yahoo mail page and Clay is on the Yahoo home page as #3 for top searches. So, do ya think his 15 minutes of fame just might last a little longer??!! For all of you who are lucky enough to be going tomorrow night--I envy the hell out of you and I hope you have a blast and I KNOW Clay will be amazing. Just can't wait to hear some reports. Will be taking my new laptop to bed tomorrow night.
  22. Psssst! Claygasm----I like Simon, too!! He did say that Clay was the best thing that ever happened to AI.
  23. Good Gawd--I have led a sheltered life. I never heard the term "chicken choker." Pretty much figured out what it means, however. Heck, until a few years ago I had also never heard of the term "package." One of my daughters who was then in high school explained that one to me. It's no wonder I am not fit for anything except for walking the dogs!! Yeah--Simon is obsessed alright. Plus, he's smart enough to know that a Clay mention will create buzz.
  24. You can leave a comment after the blurb that is written by Vicky. You have to register, but it is quick. You can tell my comment because it is a double post!! I always seem to do that. At least on this board I can go back and edit when that happpens, but on CB I can't. CRAP--I always feel so DUMB when that happens. Loved the little video. CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!!
