Canfly, I am shocked to hear that you don't do rules well. Never would have guessed.
Who you bin talkin' to???
Didn't we start out with no emoticons? My worse nightmare!!!
Wars? We can have wars with emotes??? Ooooooooooooooooooh! Count me in!Love the emoticon wars..:PickMe-1:
Where? Where? Where?Oh and we have a thread where people can post the emoticons they want added.Forgive me if this has been posted before, but I laughed my head off at this.
It's a made up Soup interview. He asks questions about Clay getting "the sample" and it's Clay's answers from a 2003 interview. Maybe some won't think it's funny, butcha gotta laugh right???
At least it's blatantly ridiculous, lol.
-
ETA,
BTW, your apostrophe is French. Still haven't re-booted huh? :lmaosmiley-1:
-
Muski?
You're nuts. You do know that don't you?
Heinz?
Are the pix being a problem for you?

Once upon a time way back when...likely early 2005 or so, I applied to the CH and never got a reply. A couple of other people that I know had the same experience and I was kinda like "how rude!" At the very least they could reply and say "sorry, we're not taking new members at this time" but no answer. Period. After that when people linked me occasionally to something there, I soon realized that I was not CH material anyhow. I don't do rules well. No emoties? Only one post per page? I remember sitting there watching Alspaz at Luckiest house, composing a post and she was like forever trying to decide what she was going to post, so she wouldn't get trouted. I was like...that's nuts. I freely admit to never going to the CH to read (unless linked directly by somebody for some specific reason) cuz if I can't post, I ain't going there. End stop. I just sit there all lazylike at the Shed and let people bring the stuffs over, lol.canfly, you would have NEVER survived the first few years here at FCA. I think we had a limit of FIVE emoticons per post back then. Part of it was as djs says -- many of us access this site at work *coughontheslycough*. Also, the admins here came from a board (the CH) where emoticons were not allowed at ALL, so it was what we were "used to."Having said that -- we've loosened up quite a bit around here, and have added many, many emoties. I wouldn't worry about it, but do try to remember that "we're at work" thing. Hee.
Zactly.Yeah, I like them (emoticons) when I am at home, but I won`t open FCA at work unless I have images turned off.Ooops - I quoted the wrong post up there! I meant to respond to lucky!
to wit.........
So.......... if you always turn off the images anyway, would it really make a difference???
And whatcha doin' reading Clay Aiken messageboards at work anyhow???
I read at school at recess and often the kiddies come in for Nutrition Break while I'm still reading and I think that they're intrigued by the emoties, lol.
They used to ask, "Whatcha playing?" Then they realized that it wasn't a computer game, so they lost interest pretty quickly, lol. (too meny wurds for Grade Ones to read anyhow, lol)
-
Oh.Not that all the emoticons are not fun, they are, I enjoy them - but this is one board I would never access from work, and I think dial-up might just take a lot longer, too.should I take out some of the pix or make thumbnails?
-
Canfly...amazed at how you can do all those quotes thing. I can never keep all of them straight when I copy them and I often forget what I wanted so say when I reach the end...
Zeezee. Just open another window. Start on whatever page you want to read/quote and paste what you want to quote in your reply window. Highlight it and it the quote button and then type whatcha wanna say. Go back to the page that you're reading and next then you wanna comment on, copy that, rinse and repeat.
I understand what you're both trying to say. I think that Luckiest is saying that she, like Clay has given up trying to convince anybody cuz people are gonna believe what they want. I guess I wish that he hadn't given up with the ATDW Diane Sawyer interview cuz it had been so long since he'd said it on a widely broadcast show...but I guess he felt like it was beating a dead horse so...lucky - I don't thinkit will change anyone's mind, either. I just wanted to illustatrate that he has actually answered the question. I get tired of people saying, "if he would just come out already." as if his being portrayed as not wanting to talk about it any more has drawn the conclusion that he is gay. When right there in that interview, he clearly said he wasn't.It boils my blood when people's words get twisted around. It seems to happen more often that we know.
K. I'll go hunting...canfly - if you can point me to those other interviews, I could give it a try!
Kewl! I'm good at nagging. BTW, changing the names, will not affect where they've been posted in previous posts with the old name, unless the person goes back and edits their post. I changed a couple of names on emotes on my board and it didn't create red Xs like moving stuff in PB does.and if you can get them to change the limit on emoties I've been trying for months!!(and why does blowkiss have F_05BL17 in front of the name? I've always wondered!!)
Hee, congrats on your new status canfly!Time to celebrate!
-
I'm a body guard!!!
From dogwalker to bodyguard in one week!
I done good huh?
Whaddayamean I posted more emotes than the board allows???
Whatzzizz the limit?
Good grief. I've taken out half and still getting the same message. What is is only like 10?
I upped it to be like 200 emotes per post on my board, lol cuz I had over 100 in one post and it told me I'd posted more than the board would allow and I said, "I'll show YOU!!!".

A couple of screencaps from the CNN interview posted this morning (via ClayIzzaQT at CV).
He's CUTE when he's earnest.
He's CUTE when he's smirky.
Am I the only one who thinks he looks absolutely HOT in that interview? Gawd...his eyes! And his grin....
:th74:
Oy...I wanna go look at Clay again in that CNN interview.
Only kinda hawt that I like isn't spelled "hot"!
*high fives canfly on her hatred of heat*
I followed the link and read the notes and THIS is interesting:Am I recalling INcorrectly that the musicpass cards were to be available in June? Does anyone else remember?Cause, God knows, I need another copy of OMWH. (PS according to this these are supposed to be very good files.)
Gee....if there is a different bonus song, then he'll have another spike in sales, lol. Will there be bonus material on the MusicPass cards?Yes. All of the cards will feature either bonus material or in the case of compilations, an extensive number of tracks.
What type of bonus material will be included in the card?
Bonus material can include music videos, interviews with the artist, bonus audio tracks, lyrics, and more.
Me too! :00000441:hello !!! I am a newbie here! Can you tell from my post count, lol?
I see I am a dog walker... wait'll i tell my cats!!Working hard to move up from dogwalker to bodyguard.
I'd do better if I'd stop these freakin' quotaramas!!!
I've seen your name somewhere...CV fanfic, lol?
Re:
The assumptions are wrong, Cha cha, I don't do montages but it would be cool to make one and include that and his answer to Diane S in the one interview re: representing all of the dorks who aren't gay and don't sleep around and also his answer in the Vancouver interview during JNT2, when he was talking about the qualities he would look for in a wife.
Oh but there's always the quote button andI'm still here. I just seem to slip into lurking more and more. I don't really mean too. It's just that by the time I've gotten home from work...all the good stuff has been said. *g*I'm still in the we-really-only-know-this-much car. I haven't seen anything to indicate any truth beyond Jaymes being pregnant. I still don't think we are going to hear anything from Clay about it, not anytime soon anyway. And that silence doesn't tell ME anything except that Clay doesn't respond to tabloid gossip and he doesn't talk about his personal life. Even if it got picked up by mainstream press it is still gossip about his personal life. He just spent the better part of 2 album cycles reiterating that it isn't something he's willing to discuss. To change horses now would seem counter-productive to that message. He drew a line in the sand. He can't just hop back and forth.
Yup.One of the most interesting observations of people's reactions to this newest 'news' is realizing how opposing opinions are actually using the same 'evidence' to come to their contradictory conclusions. That is, his silence on this either means it's true OR it means it's false and believers of both opinions will point to the fact that he IS being silent as proof that they're right!
I've had that happen at school a couple of times. What's happened, is that you've made your keyboard FRENCH. Don't ask me how you've done it or how I did it but re-booting does cure it!My computer is doing that weird thing again where the keys aren`t typing what I think they should. I mean, if I try to type the board code for putting something in a quote, this is what I get:^^quote¸¸
And a question mark has become:
É
I think I need to reboot. Or find my manual.

OK... if IIF = If It's True
Would/could it naturally follow that IIU = If It's Untrue ??
Someone please say yay or nay so that I can update the acronym Glossary in one fell swoop
IIT = If it's trueIIU = If If um
Well, it would appear that we have an answer!
Where's the glossary, lol?
I'm in charge of the acronyms thread at the Shed. Man. People make up new ones every day, lol.
No "we" don't. "We" hates the summer temps and wishes Spring and early fall could last longer. I was quite happy with the cool temps we've been having lately. I absolutely ABHORE the temp today. It's humid. It's hot. It's sticky. I HATE it. I HATE it. I HATE it. I really and truly don't understand people like yourself and Clayphoria who love the sticky, humid heat. How can you possibly enjoy being all hot and sweaty and sticky????QUOTE(jmh123 @ Jun 6 2008, 11:45 PM)It's 100 degrees here, in June. Early June. A little too much summer for me.
You obviously don`t live in Canada. We have to relish every.single.summerlike.day. They disappear all too soon.
ICKY!! ICKY!!! IKCY!!!
I'm trying. I was finishing reports, so really couldn't do it more than once a day and you people talk a lot in one day!!!QUOTE(canfly172 @ Jun 7 2008, 02:39 AM)QUOTE
So, canfly, how you liking this linear thread thing?
It's annoying the crap outta me. How the HELL do you catch up on it??? I'm so used to separate threads for everything...mind you none of them EVER stay on topic, lol.
Hee, you just need to catch up more often!
QUOTEAm I the ONLY local person that didn't have a clue about the existence of this DVD until last week?.
Sowwy.
As far as I'm concerned, it's just too darn hot.X 100
Man, his face really DID look bloated in that skating picture that bottlecap posted.
Random canfly thought... how did you pick a name like bottlecap???
I often wonder how people picked out their screen names.
Mine's pretty self-explanatory I think:
One new thing. He said that he hasn't been to LA in 9 months, so if clip taped in May, then since last August after the SRHP tour.QUOTEA "new" interview just showed up at CNN here. It appears to have been taped in May but they just chose to post it today. Nothing new, but includes CD promo and an pertinent clip from an old interview.
Truly shocking.Am I correct in saying that in the original (old) interview that they showed a small clip from, his next statement was something along the lines of "their assumptions are wrong"? If I am indeed remembering this correctly, what a SHOCK that today's media would think to conveniently leave out that part of his statement.I love his hair in the CNN interview. Reminded me of Tyra hair only blonder with more forehead showing. More forehead showing is definitely a HUGE plus in canfly's book. (translation for those who don't know me. canfly hated the bangs with a passion and is THARILLLLLLLLED that they're gone!)
Canfly... I love your catch-up posts, too.
It's dark here? Shit.I'm glad you came over to the dark side... hehe.
Prolly the same as Cold Resist. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. You don't teach Grade 1s, who's mother's never taught them to cover their mouths when then cough. For some reason, we're having a late Spring plethora of bugs in my room.Sorry you have a cold in the heat (or any other time). I haven't had one in years. I found a product called Cold Snap that knocks them out if you start taking it the instant you feel that cold starting.
Which one, lol?I love your little emoticon!I'm a bit of an emote ho, lol.
I love the emotes here but y'all :teehee, need to rename some of them something that makes sense.
:rant (I know...I know...newbie should not come on board and start critiquing right away, lol) I set up all of the emotes on my small Invision board and you can name them whatever you want to name them when you upload them.
Heinz has had the email that I've use now for 2 or 3 years but could be that she sent it to my old one that I only use for Incredimail claytionery and didn't get looked at for pretty much the whole run of spamalot cuz there are over 4000 claytionery emails sitting in there. OK....MUST re-print off the order form NOW and order it so I can see it demmit!!!Me~have you changed your email address or sumpin'? Cause I DID send a note to heinz' "list" saying we were going to group order...Maybe you didn't know what I was talking about at the time?
Sowwy2!!
Glad that you're feeling better. I didn't know that you were having problems.
Probably LOTS."That CNN interview uses that very old TVGuide channel interview where he talks about people making assumptions about him because he's not visibly dating in the tabloids and magazines, etc. But of course they also left off the next sentence which (paraphrased) was "those assumptions would be wrong". After that full interview surfaced, it made me wonder just how many times he did answer fully and it was left on the cutting room floor or cut out by a print editor. "Posting before I lose this and then I'll keep going.
Man, you guys talk a lot. Good thing that I'm sick and not in a mood to DO anything.
please tell me that I didn't emote whore myself out of a post here, lol...
ETA,
Apparently not cuz none of the codes that I typed worked, lol.
Made a trip to PB and added a few.
-
lol...well, I'm considering the 3 or 4 pages that I didn't get to last night "lost causes".Canfly always love your long catch up posts. That used to be me!
It's annoying the crap outta me. How the HELL do you catch up on it??? I'm so used to separate threads for everything...mind you none of them EVER stay on topic, lol.So, canfly, how you liking this linear thread thing?
Must go find link and reprint off order form cuz I was busy doing Report Cards and the one that I stuffed in my lunchbox to fill out but never got to is decidedly WRINKLYED.Wheeeeee! Tonight I'm gonna get my Broadway Cares DVD! Thanks to FromClaygary!Random thought. I'm sitting here in the dark cuz it's cooler cuz I don't have a/c and it's too damned hot and there are little bugs all over my screen and bugging me and...
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!
I hate heat. Just looked and it's like 30 or 31 deg C (don't know what that is in farenheit but too hot for meeeeeeeeeeeee) until monday and then it's supposed to cool off.
Gee...I can think of a few questions...playbiller, I think that's been there since the beginning of the OFC redesign. I've just never thought I had anything to ask him! Hee.
Hey! I.don.gets.it is my line. Somebody even made me a smiley for it:And I don't get the Jaymes hate I've seen on some other boards. What the hell did she do to any of them? I don't gets it.
Well...dammit. Why didn't you tell me that before? OK. I hate her now.Well of course it's ok to hate Jaymes cuz if it weren't for her Clay would be on tour right now doncha know.
IIU???? translation?I I U ...sooooo how many more months of I I U - LOL
Thanks for telling me ONE Of them. Well, that's ONE down. If It's Unknown?Okay - I know IIF = If It's TrueBut what the heck is IIU ???
"if if um...if if um..."As in the clueless guard that Clay played in Spamalot....
Oh.
:fssign:
Just what I needed. That couchie, always trying to cut down on typing...and adding one more abbreviation to our lexicon...
It never occurred to me until I just read that, that his shitck about the rumour of him having a kid was about FBM. I'd never heard about her back then...so very strange now after having seen her hanging out at spamalot and watching the show stone-faced and hanging around the CD signing line...I can't remember when Clay started the FBM shtick, but it was during all the King of Controversy bits - Krippa and all that.
I totally get that. Our principal just recently had a stillbirth of her baby at 8 months. She's probably about 45? She just noticed that she hadn't felt the baby moving for awhile. 2 days prior had had a checkup and everything declared fine. So you never know.Maybe because it took me nearly 4 years to conceive (with some medical assistance), or maybe it's because I started bleeding at 24 weeks and remember the terror I went through at that time, or maybe it's because a friend who was pregnant at the same time I was lost her baby at nearly 8 months, or maybe it's because 2 co-workers over 40 both lost their pregnancies THIS year at 3 months and nearly 7 months respectively, but whatever the cause, I NEVER take the outcome of any pregnancy for granted. I can MORE than understand why no statement of any kind to anyone may not occur until after that much-wanted baby arrives safe and sound!!
Nope. I bet she wants to kill David's "rep".I thought that by this six month, Jaymes was pretty safe. Apparently not!
(well, not the perimenopause part...)I have no idea what the temp is here other than its hot, which is not good for someone going thru peri-menopause. I'd love a nice cold iceburg right about now.
You're mean and I think that you're nuts too!Hee, well I'm loving the heat! I hatesssssssss the cold, so I celebrate it when it goes away. My kids think I'm nuts. But I put the A/C on for them if it goes over 30 C.
Am I the ONLY local person that didn't have a clue about the existence of this DVD until last week?Hmmm did you pic everyone's DVD up or.... I give up insert a praying emoticon here.Well, I'm done. I slept from 7 until 10 pm tonight, so now trying to get so I can go back to bed, lol.
Heat sucks. Having a cold when it's hot sucks even more. Why do they call them colds, when they make you hot?
Anyhoo...night...
-
Yeah. Me too. No such luck.Dang! I was all excited that there might be a picture of well-hung Clay in that TMZ article.
Yup. Is too.It gets interestinger and interestinger to me. And interestinger is so a word!
Stop reading. Some people even seem to think he's misrepresented himself in some way over the years. I'm not judging, or at least I'm trying not to, but I'm just really quite surprised and a bit overwhelmed at some of what I'm reading.
The part-time/long distance Dad thing is what makes me not buy it. BTW, what's IIT mean. I've seen it 2 or 3 times.I think he would make an awesome father and would or will love a child completely. IIT - the only way I'll be disappointed in him is if he lives 3000 miles or so away from that child and only has visitations. Somehow this doesn't synch with MY PERSONAL OPINION of how Clay would approach fatherhood - long-distance parenting.Nobody is stuck in time.Clay may have learned to like avocados. Does that make him a liar?
I don't think, though, that people's characters change without GREAT effort, self-awareness, and (probably) therapy.
So, I don't take everything that Clay has said as gospel for the whole of his life.
But, I know a good man when I see one.
Sufficient for me.
Yup and that sux.Clay is often held to words he said 5 years ago. That's just wrong because everyone changes.
Too funny! Yet sad at the same time cuz so true.on other boards there really are people who believe that since Clay joked about not liking avocados:He will never eat them ever
He would never have a relationship with an avocado lover
He would never eat in a restaurant that serves avocados
He would never buy a house with an avocado tree in the yard
The nutrient content of avocados is listed and Clay is reprimanded for not eating them
And is sent books and lists about what he should eat
Faye will be blamed for Clay not liking avocados
Faye just prolly prepared avocados incorrectly when Clay was a poor pitiful child, because those southerners don't know how to fix or appreciate good food
Clay is only saying he doesn't like avocados because he wants the California Avocado Association to pay big bucks for him to recant and say he loves them now
Saying he hates avocados is a sekrit signal to fake baby mamas
Saying he hates avocados means some tortuous intrusive clue about Santa M.....sorry, just typing that makes me pukle
Saying he hates avocados means he is leaving RCA
There will be a thread at OFC denouncing his disdain for avocados
There will be a thread at OFC praising him for hating avocados and showing support for Cesar Chavez
I honestly could continue for another 20 minutes, but SOME people have deliberately and willfully chosen to regard my humorous sense of irony as, um, sarcasm......
If he is seen eating avocado:
He is a liar
He prolly lied about OTHER STUFF TOO
He has betrayed his fans, who have given up avocados in a show of support
"It's all a bunch of hooey". TM canfly. So I have three ways I'm processing this whole thing. It keeps me sane.1. Clay and Jaymes are in a loving, committed relationship and are having a baby together. They may or may not sign a paper in the future to 'prove it' or may have done so in the past already. They are in love and plan to share their lives together with their child. They might even adopt more later.
2. Clay and Jaymes have a close, abiding love for each other and both want a child very badly. They've discussed the issue exhaustively and decided that in their present circumstances they are comfortable sharing a child, even though they realize that they do not have/want a future together as a romantic/life-partner relationship. They've considered the ramifications of this plan on their potential future relationships with others and agree to always be devoted parents to their child, regardless.
3. It's all a bunch of hooey and another example of the kind of journalism our media feeds our celebrity news-crazed public.
Me either.ETA: no spelling of 'gigilo' 'gigalo' looks right to me!
See...look. Neither of us had to lift a finger to check a dictionary, lol.(GIGOLO) and I like the scenarios you stated. Makes sense.
Am not too sensitive. Am not. Am not. Am not! :hissyI remember when I first found the Clay message boards, I was so struck by the humor that was demonstrated by regular posters. I miss those days when we were able to laugh at us I wonder what happened, was it when outsiders started laughing at us (Cue stereotypical Claymate reference) that we became so sensitive?
Repeat after me, "I will not go to the skeery places! I will not go to the skeery places! I will not go to the skeery places!"Awww, thanks for trying to cheer me up, Fear. Wish I could have dreams like that! I'm fine, just a little bewildered by some of what I've read on various boards. And I know, I know, it's my own fault for wandering. I just can't fathom some of the reactions, and some of the jealousy (not surprising) and downright hate (quite surprising) I'm reading towards Jaymes. And the anger directed towards Clay...it blows my mind. Makes me wonder if I've wandered into an alternate universe. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by anything anymore.
:groan:"I always knew Clay would have a Foster child!"
Yes, he does. Times like these separate "fairweather friends" from the real ones. You rock, Ruben!
Nope. He can't. They set themselves up for that.I will admit that I am having a hard time understanding some of the reactions...the extreme sadness some are feeling just seems out of proportion to the situation to me and I have come to the conclusion that they are more sad for themselves than for Clay because their dreams and fantasies have been shattered. And I do think some have held Clay up to such high standards that it was inevitable that he would disappointment them at some point and I don't think Clay can be blamed for that.
Considering, I haven't bought into it, I'm good, lol. Reminds me...I got an email notification of a fanfic update tonight. Maybe, there'll be some smut in it!I think a lot of the anger directed at Jaymes is again...because she stole the fantasy...the older woman-younger man scenario has been played out for the last 5 years on the boards and she may actually be living that fantasy and maybe it is not so much fun to fantasize when it is a reality. Not sure if that makes any sense..but just the feeling I have been getting.OK...there are 3 more pages for me to read but I'm cross-eyed and going to bed.
:dragclay:

I bit the bullet and went over.
Picture is just a headshot of spikey hair Clay on the right and the horse on the left and a needle up through the middle.
Insult to Clay part was at the end:
When it comes to getting chicks pregnant, size really does matter.Superhorse Big Brown will reportedly make as much as $50 million in stud fees if he wins the Triple Crown. That's as much as $100K per mare.
Not sure how much Jaymes Foster had to pony up for Clayken's swimmers, but we're guessing he didn't command quite as much -- especially for being such a long shot.
:fssign:
If you want to look at it, without going to TMZ, I posted it at the Shed here:
http://theclaymatewoodshed75085.yuku.com/topic/3201?page=34
Back to your regularily scheduled OMWH vocal performance dissection, lol.
-
-
CP at the Shed thinks that cat is a dead ringer for her cat...cept not as fat. I think it looks like luckiest's kitty Kirby...cept not as...er...well filled out.Even better....Shrubbery that smells like cat pee!!
(Fine....I miss Spamalot a lot.)
I have found with the FCA it really does take very little to make people happy..... and yay, for that!
Edited cuz it's "not as fat" not "not at fat", lol.
-
Sebastian let me pet him once and purred but most of the time he vamooses, lol.
Your WHAT can't drive? How close to the Sarnia airport are you, lol? Luckiest or Goldarngirl would have to drive and pick us up at the London airport though, lol.canfly re the driving....my spathyfillium can't drive either...and that's the only "us" there is in this house...unless you're volunteering to fly up and drive me? Gawd, I would LOVE that!I only skimmed a little...Back to reports....ugh.
-
At this point I'm pretty sure that it is true with a few important details missing. I think Clay and Jaymes are a little more than best buddies. I don't think they are married but I wouldn't be surprised if they did eventually. Imagine the two of them alone after the baby is born looking at each other and realizing that they produced this child. Sounds like fanfic but I might actually remember some of those feelings. Hey my kids were born 11 months apart.
Hee, get out of my brain.........I keep imagining all sorts of scenarios too, they make me all and schmoopie. Who knew I was such a shipper?
So, I just spent a few hours at the after-hours emergency vet clinic. It seems that one of my cats was having difficulting urinating.....my son noticed him straining and squatting, and we were afraid to let it go the night. Good thing because they said he has a blockage. So we had to leave him there overnight, and they were going to catheterize him and drain it and flush it.....no, you DO NOT want to see the estimate sheet. Had a slight panic in the waiting room when my debit card kept being refused for lesser and lesser amounts......managed to give them a little something to hold them over until morning, but I have to pick him up at 8 a.m. as they close during regular business hours, so had to make a couple of emergency phone calls to scare up some funds. Then I have to take him to the regular vet tomorrow. Ouch. So much for saving my pennies for gala.............
Well, skipping pg 19 to 25...
Awwww. Poor kitty. My orange kitty had that. Not fun.
Which kitty? Friendly fat kitty or skeerdy cat?
-
Adabe ace!I lost my wallet the other day. Had to mentally retrace my steps. Guess where I found it?In the freezer, with the frozen bread. Yep, I'd been grocery shopping, and had thought I'd throw it in the bag so I wouldn't forget it in the car.
I lost my cellphone. I suspect that it either got run over by a car behind the hangar at the Stratford airport or that I accidentally threw it in the garbage in the hangar cuz we searched EVERYwhere for it. It rang for the day and then suddenly went "the caller that you are trying to reach is currently unavailable" and I'd just charged it in the morning. I'll never know what happened to it sadly. I got a new phone. I now need to get back a bajillion phone numbers, including yours, lol.
(cept I'm hearing there ain't gonna be no danged air date??? )From Corabeth at the CH:QUOTE
Just got an email from RMD and he's going to keep an eye out for the airdate of the Ford Theater benefit and let me know.
clackclackclackclack. I NEEDS it!
Luckily I don't drink coffee or lattes (never had one, lol....kinda like cigarettes) and teabags are pretty cheap. Ain't no danged Starbucks or even a Tim Hortons in the semi-boonies where I live anyhow, lol.QUOTE(Gibby @ Jun 3 2008, 11:47 AM)BWAH!!! And good luck with your resolution. Is there something you can substitute for the latte? I've found that I'm more successful if I find something to replace whatever it is I'm taking away. Perhaps you could make your own latte at work, or something like that.
Bingo! That's what I'm doing. I used to do it every day but I got lazy recently. But it's much cheaper!
I think that you're verra, verra smart! I'm more "I ain't believing it until Jaymes or Clay says so" vs could be either.See, I really don't give that article any more weight or value than the TMZ one. I don't think a second or third hand account like that is really all that accurate. Sure, I've read that Jaymes is still friends with BJ, blah blah blah. But it all boils down to the fact that neither Clay or Jaymes has commented. And unless I hear it from one of them, I'm just not going to believe anything. The facts are that Jaymes is pregnant, and Clay is her v.v. good friend. I don't think it is outside the realm of possibility that they decided to have a baby together, whether romantically involved or not. I also don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that the baby has nothing to do with Clay. So I'm still biding my time until we get some real information.
I couldn't see "hawt, pissy Clay" that people were getting all excited over. He looked "no happy" and possibly might have shoved the camera out of the way and the after report from the Gala goer would indicate that it was just to get to his car.ETA: While I'm on the subject, can I just add that after viewing that TMZ video (from the vault, ewwww, wouldn't dirty my hands to go to that site) I am not convinced that Clay pushed the camera. Could have been anyone or anything, and the sound effects could have been added after-the-fact. But if he did, good for him!
What makes it "chai"? Is that the boiling of the milk in the microwave? I make tea weirdly. I put 2 teaspoons of sugar in a mug, cold tap water (cuz hot is soft water in our house), teabag and boil it in the nukrowave. Then add some milk after. How do I make latte? Well, first off, I don't drink your typical latte, I drink chai tea latte. So all I do is nuke some skim milk in the microwave, add a tea bag and a sweetener, and voila! Non-fat Chai tea latte (or really chai tea misto, since I don't use the syrup). Probably means nothing to anyone who hasn't ordered at Starbuck's before.I'm neva gonna get through all of this, lol...

I'm catching up 7 pages. Quoting as I go...
That's sounding kind of familiar.Canfly, DCAT - Doing Clay Aiken Tour - came from Clay himself on Quiana's MySpace. She had an appearance calendar on the front page and several entries about a few concerts she had scheduled in South Carolina, and one entry for Chautaugua in late July saying 'An Evening with Clay Aiken.'Clay responded that it sounded like Quiana would be "doing him" that night;, hence, the Doing Clay Aiken Tour.
At least that's the way I remember it.
That sounds even MORE familiar. Yup. You're right about her putting "Doing Clay Aiken Tour" on her calendar. She then changed it after snarky Clay gave her a hard time.I thought she'd actually written "Doing Clay Aiken Tour" on her calendar, and Clay came to her my space and made a comment that it sounded like they were having an affair or something???????
Lots apparently. :thumbsupBut what do I know??Think is I remember that but it's always been Soft Rock And A Hard Place Tour everywhere that I've ever seen.
Y'all have your own private little name tag for it, lol. (unless they have the same at the CH cuz I wouldn't know cuz they won't let me post there (go figure.... ) Actually, I'm not CH material. I applied once and never got any acknowledgment but in the end for the best cuz they haves too meny rulez there from what I've heard.
Only one post per page? No emotes? Screw THAT, lol.
YW.canfly, thank you so much for posting that link. In the clack orgy just a bit ago I missed this interview. Could our collective boyfriend be any more articulate?
Damned straight! (especially considering I think that spermgate is a bunch of hooey, lol)We can still call him our collective boyfriend can't we?
Sounds like it. I don't do google alerts but the more non-Clayfans that can read that statement the better, IMO.When I logged into goggle, there was a new article in the Calgary press (I think) restating BJ Cook's position that the child is not Clay's. I have given it several hits to get it to the top. Is that a good idea so people see there could be another side to this story?
Y'all don't?I have also typed "Y'all" and deleted it more than once!! And we sure don't say it here!
Hmmm...luckiest1 is working for GDG. That sounds promising...My life has become a cycle of work and baseball. Maybe it will rain today. Heh, at least goldarngirl hopes it will.
I was about 15 min away from you today. Had a class trip to Storybook Gardens. Luckily, we only got a little spit and then just cloud and actually a little sun when they were playing in the splashpad!ETA: And as it turns out, it is raining! Guess I should have looked out the window.....LOL.
I saw this earlier today. Why the heck would Clay be in Virginia?Posted by Badger03QUOTE
I work at a CrackerBarrel in VA, and he came in! I was at the amusement park with my kids yesterday so I didn't find out until I got to work this morning. Aparently the server who waited on him asked him if he was Clay. He said "No" and winked and then said "Please don't say anything!" So, what does she do? She tells everyone, and everyone bothered him and he left unhappy! Poor Clay! If it had been me waiting on him, I would have kept his secret! I would have kept him all to myself and then told everyone when he was gone!
I wish I could find a way to apologize to him for my coworkers insensitivity and stupidity!
I just said that. What on earth was Clay doing in Virginia at a Cracker Barrel? Did he drive home from D.C.?
Kewl.Broadway Cares DVD*staples this post to kf's forehead*
I have mine printed out but haven't filled it out yet.
AMAP? Likely a good idea to let somebody else drive. Hope that you're feeling better soon.I'm probably dangerous driving, as it's my right leg that is affected and I can't properly brake or gas the sucker...so I'm trying to stay out of the car AMAP.OK, that's page 17 and 18.
I'd better start skimming huh?
Posting...CF wonders if there is a quote limit...

I'm at 99%....er YAY! It's done, so no....off to watch.
I have a totally and completely unrelated question.
I was just doing a little snooping around outside of this thread, lol and I saw this:
DOING CLAY AIKEN TOUR
So how the heck did you guys come up with THAT title? Not that it's not something that we'd all like to do but who thought it up and what inspired it? (gotta be a good story here...)
I've only ever heard it referred to as SRAAHPT or SRAAHP or SRHP or SRHPT.
I think that I remember luckiest1 calling it something else though.
ETA,
OK, I've seen the Myanmar vid before.

BTW, if any of you are still feeling blue, go to wherever you find your Clack and watch the CNN Clay/Myanmar interview. (sp?)
Guaranteed to remind you why you're here!
Something's missing--wrong network, wrong country, something, I think. I can't find anything like this. There was an MSNBC Myanmar interview. Is that it?
Oh crap!
I have it saved on my DVR so I didn't watch it via any of the Vaults!
Sorry for the misidentifying!
I think that's the one!
I don't know why I was thinking CNN!
What dat? Where dat?
ETA,
Found it. Last thing on this MSNBC list says Myanmar.

I keep having these images in my head of Clay on Dr. Phil talking about bullying. The bullying continues. Bigger bullies. Bigger playground. He's stuck to ignoring as his method of dealing with them but at the same time I think of the song "Coward of the County" and I think that one of these days he's just gonna crack. I couldn't see much in that TZM vid. It was too dark and too fast but I guess that he shoved the camera? How much can he take? Why should he have to take this crap?My husband just came into the sunroom to tell me that they really made fun of Clay on the TV Guide Channel. He said they were laughing about him. I stopped watching that channel after the first Close Up they did fo Clay. They are so witty. Ugh!My husband is smart enough to run out of the room after dropping off this info. Good thing I didn't have anything nearby that was sharp.

Awwwwwwwwwwwww... David Hibbard is so wonderful as Patsy.Did y'all see this? From CV

Awwww... CF waves to luckiest's momma! And more recently she attended one of our local cluncheons. She enjoyed herself. She now sees it more as a "family" than a fandom.
Compared to WHAT other people? And she also sees that maybe I am not so obsessed after all, compared to other people.
#34: So, how about that Clay Aiken?

Ok, so that part isn't so funny thinking about it that way...
I guess I laughed at the "running around in circles part" and his lipbite re: the centrifuge and his big yawn at the end.
Actually, I'd like to see the orginal interview.
If it's as bad at some of the boards as it was at OFC and as bad as I've heard that it is, I have no interest in reading it and I hope that nobody's passing it onto Clay or Jaymes.
I think that this oughta be a wake up call for a few people to take a few steps baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack if it's affecting them this greatly.
