I guess I should be happy this is going over a lot of people's heads, or that it doesn't bother them because they don't interpret it as I do, but the part about masturbating in front of children at school or in camp squicks me right out.

I guess I laughed at the "running around in circles part" and his lipbite re: the centrifuge and his big yawn at the end.

I’ve been to the other boards and I’ve seen the vitriol and it ain’t pretty.

I'm glad that I havent' been to the other "skeery" boards to read it. Out of curiousity after resisting for a couple of days and only cuz I'd heard how insane it had gotten...I decided to go to the OFC to see the train wreck. I only read the last page and a half of the OFC thread before it got locked and then disappeared and it was nuts and that's all that I've read outside of here and the shed. I think that I'll keep it that way.

If it's as bad at some of the boards as it was at OFC and as bad as I've heard that it is, I have no interest in reading it and I hope that nobody's passing it onto Clay or Jaymes.

I think that this oughta be a wake up call for a few people to take a few steps baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack if it's affecting them this greatly.

canfly, you would have NEVER survived the first few years here at FCA. I think we had a limit of FIVE emoticons per post back then. Part of it was as djs says -- many of us access this site at work *coughontheslycough*. Also, the admins here came from a board (the CH) where emoticons were not allowed at ALL, so it was what we were "used to."

Having said that -- we've loosened up quite a bit around here, and have added many, many emoties. I wouldn't worry about it, but do try to remember that "we're at work" thing. Hee.

Once upon a time way back when...likely early 2005 or so, I applied to the CH and never got a reply. A couple of other people that I know had the same experience and I was kinda like "how rude!" At the very least they could reply and say "sorry, we're not taking new members at this time" but no answer. Period. After that when people linked me occasionally to something there, I soon realized that I was not CH material anyhow. I don't do rules well. No emoties? Only one post per page? I remember sitting there watching Alspaz at Luckiest house, composing a post and she was like forever trying to decide what she was going to post, so she wouldn't get trouted. I was like...that's nuts. I freely admit to never going to the CH to read (unless linked directly by somebody for some specific reason) cuz if I can't post, I ain't going there. End stop. I just sit there all lazylike at the Shed and let people bring the stuffs over, lol.

Yeah, I like them (emoticons) when I am at home, but I won`t open FCA at work unless I have images turned off.

I read at school at recess and often the kiddies come in for Nutrition Break while I'm still reading and I think that they're intrigued by the emoties, lol.

They used to ask, "Whatcha playing?" Then they realized that it wasn't a computer game, so they lost interest pretty quickly, lol. (too meny wurds for Grade Ones to read anyhow, lol)

Not that all the emoticons are not fun, they are, I enjoy them - but this is one board I would never access from work, and I think dial-up might just take a lot longer, too.

Canfly...amazed at how you can do all those quotes thing. I can never keep all of them straight when I copy them and I often forget what I wanted so say when I reach the end...

Zeezee. Just open another window. Start on whatever page you want to read/quote and paste what you want to quote in your reply window. Highlight it and it the quote button and then type whatcha wanna say. Go back to the page that you're reading and next then you wanna comment on, copy that, rinse and repeat.

lucky - I don't thinkit will change anyone's mind, either. I just wanted to illustatrate that he has actually answered the question. I get tired of people saying, "if he would just come out already." as if his being portrayed as not wanting to talk about it any more has drawn the conclusion that he is gay. When right there in that interview, he clearly said he wasn't.

It boils my blood when people's words get twisted around. It seems to happen more often that we know.

I understand what you're both trying to say. I think that Luckiest is saying that she, like Clay has given up trying to convince anybody cuz people are gonna believe what they want. I guess I wish that he hadn't given up with the ATDW Diane Sawyer interview cuz it had been so long since he'd said it on a widely broadcast show...but I guess he felt like it was beating a dead horse so...

Kewl! I'm good at nagging. BTW, changing the names, will not affect where they've been posted in previous posts with the old name, unless the person goes back and edits their post. I changed a couple of names on emotes on my board and it didn't create red Xs like moving stuff in PB does.

The assumptions are wrong, Cha cha, I don't do montages but it would be cool to make one and include that and his answer to Diane S in the one interview re: representing all of the dorks who aren't gay and don't sleep around and also his answer in the Vancouver interview during JNT2, when he was talking about the qualities he would look for in a wife.

I'm still in the we-really-only-know-this-much car. I haven't seen anything to indicate any truth beyond Jaymes being pregnant. I still don't think we are going to hear anything from Clay about it, not anytime soon anyway. And that silence doesn't tell ME anything except that Clay doesn't respond to tabloid gossip and he doesn't talk about his personal life. Even if it got picked up by mainstream press it is still gossip about his personal life. He just spent the better part of 2 album cycles reiterating that it isn't something he's willing to discuss. To change horses now would seem counter-productive to that message. He drew a line in the sand. He can't just hop back and forth.

One of the most interesting observations of people's reactions to this newest 'news' is realizing how opposing opinions are actually using the same 'evidence' to come to their contradictory conclusions. That is, his silence on this either means it's true OR it means it's false and believers of both opinions will point to the fact that he IS being silent as proof that they're right!

Just what I needed.

I can't remember when Clay started the FBM shtick, but it was during all the King of Controversy bits - Krippa and all that.

It never occurred to me until I just read that, that his shitck about the rumour of him having a kid was about FBM. I'd never heard about her back then...so very strange now after having seen her hanging out at spamalot and watching the show stone-faced and hanging around the CD signing line...

Maybe because it took me nearly 4 years to conceive (with some medical assistance), or maybe it's because I started bleeding at 24 weeks and remember the terror I went through at that time, or maybe it's because a friend who was pregnant at the same time I was lost her baby at nearly 8 months, or maybe it's because 2 co-workers over 40 both lost their pregnancies THIS year at 3 months and nearly 7 months respectively, but whatever the cause, I NEVER take the outcome of any pregnancy for granted. I can MORE than understand why no statement of any kind to anyone may not occur until after that much-wanted baby arrives safe and sound!!

I totally get that. Our principal just recently had a stillbirth of her baby at 8 months. She's probably about 45? She just noticed that she hadn't felt the baby moving for awhile. 2 days prior had had a checkup and everything declared fine. So you never know.

I thought that by this six month, Jaymes was pretty safe. Apparently not!

Nope. I bet she wants to kill David's "rep".

I have no idea what the temp is here other than its hot, which is not good for someone going thru peri-menopause. I'd love a nice cold iceburg right about now.

The part-time/long distance Dad thing is what makes me not buy it. BTW, what's IIT mean. I've seen it 2 or 3 times.

Clay is only saying he doesn't like avocados because he wants the California Avocado Association to pay big bucks for him to recant and say he loves them now

Saying he hates avocados is a sekrit signal to fake baby mamas

He has betrayed his fans, who have given up avocados in a show of support

So I have three ways I'm processing this whole thing. It keeps me sane.

1. Clay and Jaymes are in a loving, committed relationship and are having a baby together. They may or may not sign a paper in the future to 'prove it' or may have done so in the past already. They are in love and plan to share their lives together with their child. They might even adopt more later.

2. Clay and Jaymes have a close, abiding love for each other and both want a child very badly. They've discussed the issue exhaustively and decided that in their present circumstances they are comfortable sharing a child, even though they realize that they do not have/want a future together as a romantic/life-partner relationship. They've considered the ramifications of this plan on their potential future relationships with others and agree to always be devoted parents to their child, regardless.

3. It's all a bunch of hooey and another example of the kind of journalism our media feeds our celebrity news-crazed public.

Awww, thanks for trying to cheer me up, Fear. Wish I could have dreams like that! I'm fine, just a little bewildered by some of what I've read on various boards. And I know, I know, it's my own fault for wandering. I just can't fathom some of the reactions, and some of the jealousy (not surprising) and downright hate (quite surprising) I'm reading towards Jaymes. And the anger directed towards Clay...it blows my mind. Makes me wonder if I've wandered into an alternate universe. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by anything anymore.

Yes, he does. Times like these separate "fairweather friends" from the real ones.

I will admit that I am having a hard time understanding some of the reactions...the extreme sadness some are feeling just seems out of proportion to the situation to me and I have come to the conclusion that they are more sad for themselves than for Clay because their dreams and fantasies have been shattered. And I do think some have held Clay up to such high standards that it was inevitable that he would disappointment them at some point and I don't think Clay can be blamed for that.

Nope. He can't. They set themselves up for that.

I think a lot of the anger directed at Jaymes is again...because she stole the fantasy...the older woman-younger man scenario has been played out for the last 5 years on the boards and she may actually be living that fantasy and maybe it is not so much fun to fantasize when it is a reality. Not sure if that makes any sense..but just the feeling I have been getting.

Considering, I haven't bought into it, I'm good, lol. Reminds me...I got an email notification of a fanfic update tonight. Maybe, there'll be some smut in it!

At this point I'm pretty sure that it is true with a few important details missing. I think Clay and Jaymes are a little more than best buddies. I don't think they are married but I wouldn't be surprised if they did eventually. Imagine the two of them alone after the baby is born looking at each other and realizing that they produced this child. Sounds like fanfic but I might actually remember some of those feelings. Hey my kids were born 11 months apart.

So, I just spent a few hours at the after-hours emergency vet clinic. It seems that one of my cats was having difficulting urinating.....my son noticed him straining and squatting, and we were afraid to let it go the night. Good thing because they said he has a blockage. So we had to leave him there overnight, and they were going to catheterize him and drain it and flush it.....no, you DO NOT want to see the estimate sheet. Had a slight panic in the waiting room when my debit card kept being refused for lesser and lesser amounts......managed to give them a little something to hold them over until morning, but I have to pick him up at 8 a.m. as they close during regular business hours, so had to make a couple of emergency phone calls to scare up some funds. Then I have to take him to the regular vet tomorrow. Ouch. So much for saving my pennies for gala.............

I lost my cellphone. I suspect that it either got run over by a car behind the hangar at the Stratford airport or that I accidentally threw it in the garbage in the hangar cuz we searched EVERYwhere for it. It rang for the day and then suddenly went "the caller that you are trying to reach is currently unavailable" and I'd just charged it in the morning. I'll never know what happened to it sadly. I got a new phone. I now need to get back a bajillion phone numbers, including yours, lol.

See, I really don't give that article any more weight or value than the TMZ one. I don't think a second or third hand account like that is really all that accurate. Sure, I've read that Jaymes is still friends with BJ, blah blah blah. But it all boils down to the fact that neither Clay or Jaymes has commented. And unless I hear it from one of them, I'm just not going to believe anything. The facts are that Jaymes is pregnant, and Clay is her v.v. good friend. I don't think it is outside the realm of possibility that they decided to have a baby together, whether romantically involved or not. I also don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that the baby has nothing to do with Clay. So I'm still biding my time until we get some real information.

I think that you're verra, verra smart! I'm more "I ain't believing it until Jaymes or Clay says so" vs could be either.

ETA: While I'm on the subject, can I just add that after viewing that TMZ video (from the vault, ewwww, wouldn't dirty my hands to go to that site) I am not convinced that Clay pushed the camera. Could have been anyone or anything, and the sound effects could have been added after-the-fact. But if he did, good for him!

I couldn't see "hawt, pissy Clay" that people were getting all excited over. He looked "no happy" and possibly might have shoved the camera out of the way and the after report from the Gala goer would indicate that it was just to get to his car.

How do I make latte? Well, first off, I don't drink your typical latte, I drink chai tea latte. So all I do is nuke some skim milk in the microwave, add a tea bag and a sweetener, and voila! Non-fat Chai tea latte (or really chai tea misto, since I don't use the syrup). Probably means nothing to anyone who hasn't ordered at Starbuck's before.

What makes it "chai"? Is that the boiling of the milk in the microwave? I make tea weirdly. I put 2 teaspoons of sugar in a mug, cold tap water (cuz hot is soft water in our house), teabag and boil it in the nukrowave. Then add some milk after.

When I logged into goggle, there was a new article in the Calgary press (I think) restating BJ Cook's position that the child is not Clay's. I have given it several hits to get it to the top. Is that a good idea so people see there could be another side to this story?

My husband just came into the sunroom to tell me that they really made fun of Clay on the TV Guide Channel. He said they were laughing about him. I stopped watching that channel after the first Close Up they did fo Clay. They are so witty. Ugh!

My husband is smart enough to run out of the room after dropping off this info. Good thing I didn't have anything nearby that was sharp.

I keep having these images in my head of Clay on Dr. Phil talking about bullying. The bullying continues. Bigger bullies. Bigger playground. He's stuck to ignoring as his method of dealing with them but at the same time I think of the song "Coward of the County" and I think that one of these days he's just gonna crack. I couldn't see much in that TZM vid. It was too dark and too fast but I guess that he shoved the camera? How much can he take? Why should he have to take this crap?
