I realize the above quote is from a post a page or so back (sometimes it takes me a while to catch up) but I was so impressed with the truth of it..... I thought it deserved to be on THIS page too. I do love it when a little light shines through all the crud that fogs some of the boards. On the whole this site is pretty sensible...able to sort fiction and reality......Now , about that picture....hmmm,I like it.

Watched the beginning of AI....SAW CLAY ....that was sufficient for me...switched channels...same ole,same ole ...big yawn !!!!!!! Ya got that right, merrieeee Well said.

..........he decided to just be himself and people would either like him or not and he had no control over that. I'm so proud of him that he still lives by that creed. Great line from a great book, Liney23 I for one am glad he made that decision. One thing we don't need is a clone of all th other celebrities out there. Our guy is himself and is happy with that. He makes me laugh, thud,cry and wonder what he's going to do next. What more could I ask for.

I do hope they got a lot of pictures.......can't wait to see our "hawt professor man". It must have been amazing to see them all up on stage...I'm going to miss the Spamalot clack !!! I definetely noticed......in fact I don't think I saw the top part of the screen in that one. WERE THERE ACTUALLY SHOTS OF HIS FACE ????? OMG...talk about HAWT!!!!! I was actually thinking I was imagining it because NOBODY was commenting. Glad to know this was actual footage of "the Clay ass". Let me try again...sorry for the oops !!! AH, Cindilu2.....there's the rub!!!!!! That staement says a lot and is a truth that a lot of fans having difficulty will not admit. THEY need the attention...if they go then there is a huge void they have to fill and dragging this on and on keeps them in the spotlight so to speak. Until we stop responding to them...they will not stop...IMO This constant rehashing gives them a reason to stay....they want to stay but don't know how. Does that make any sense at all? It did when I started writing...now it sounds like gibberish.......Let's talk about the weather !!!!!!

I think the problem was that there was too much for one show. Maybe if it gets picked up it will become more organized with fewer guests. I also think Rosie's nerves were showing in the monologue but I imagine with all that's been going on in her world and the fact that she really wants this to take off....there were bound to be a few nerves twitching at the start. Not quite Ed Sullivan but with some work it could be good. How old is Lisa Minneli and when did she lose her voice? I felt bad for her, she had a powerful voice. I'm really glad she didn't attempt to sing New York, New York( or is it just one New York? whatever) Clay looked great( as always....hawt, hawt, hawt) and he never appears nervous...just himself and so at home on stage. Hopefully we'll get a few more clips. I do wish he had had a bit more time but at least he didn't get hit in the face with a pie. (I did enjoy that moment...Conan grates on my nerves and that was so appropriate...IMO) I did notice (I think)...and I'm probably being really picky here.....that when she was acknowledging people in the finale, pulling the names out of the air as they finally came to mind.....I did not hear her say Clay Aiken. Maybe I missed it....definetely an oversight I think.

I don't know much about reading palms....but in that first pic is that long line his lifeline..hmmmmm I sure hope so........relates to a lot of Clay stuff, long fingers, long toes, long tongue, long.........whatever comes to mind, and now I'm long gone. Can't believe I came out of lurking to post that....it was a long day at work...that's my story and I;m sticking to it. By the way I got a google alert today that said Jordin Sparks was dropped from her label. Is that really true? I thought she was doing well....so much for what I know.

WOW......wish I were going to be there, have I got questions. How much is it to participate? I saw the PayPal reference. This is a great idea...a better idea would have been to do a couple of these...one a month maybe...kaching $$$$$$$$$$ Wait a minute...... Quick question.....when is the fund raising over? I too think it would be great if Clay's fans that can't attend could be included somehow, but I have deffinetely learned, as the years pass, that what I would like and the reality of life are very seldom the same thing. I'm not sure how much control Clay has on how the fund raising is done. I'm sure their are limitations that even he can't get passed, especially when it comes to other members of the cast and the show itself. So, I'll give him the benefit of a doubt here and say ...I think he's doing the best he can.

How come I keep getting polled to see who I'm voting for in the Nov 4th election.......... I'M CANADIAN.. this is the third time I've been polled. I do LOVE the clips from the Gala...he is HAWT.........HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Just a note to anyone folllowing Spamalot tonight....the CB reports are saying Clay fell.....not too much detail , other than they said he hurt himself. However, knowing how things tend to get exagerated...I think I'll wait and see before I start praying for him. I've banged my butt good and hard quite a few times and I'm still kicking. OUCH !!!!!!

I may be wrong but I feel that some of these people who shut themselves off and say they are stepping away or back from Clay, are in reality looking for attention. It sounds like your friend already had her mind set before the Gala and I think it's unfortunate that she chose to possibly put a damper on your experience. It is no longer about Clay for some of these people , it is now about them and their inability to reason or listen to reason. Unfortunately, the more you try to help the worse they appear to get......it's too bad but on the plus side 3 new people joined one of the boards I belonged to today.....wish your friend well. Nuff said...it's just my opinion. From what I've been reading on the boards everyone was excited with the way the Gala went( ok....not everyone, but that's par for the course) I am excited that Clay sang so beautifully and the Gala was a success. I am going to get me to one of these things one day...come hell or high water !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a feeling that the number of people causing all the ruckus is relatively few...it's just that they are posting over and over and over. They're like a dog with a bone..can't give it up. As I hop from board to board......and that is a feat in itself....I find the "majority " of fans (with brains) seem to have settled with this news and a few are now trying to concentrate on helping the struggling ones......but I have to say that there are a few struggling fans( or some overly dramatic ones...whichever you prefer) that don't really want to be helped. Too bad...so sad...that's their loss. Personally, I am getting tired of it. He seems to be gettng a really good reception at the SD and the shows are going well. The majority of fans are still with him, the entertainment shows are being really nice...all in all,I do believe at some point we may have some semblance of normalcy in this fandom. Now if they would just stop that thread at the OFC and put all the other threads in the back of the boards( you know some of them are just wailing for attention....so put them away)...the one's wrestling with their religion will figure it out eventually......then maybe we can get started on this new chapter of the Clay Aiken Group of Fans ( with brains) Club. Claygasm....I hear you and I know exactly what you're saying. I too am looking forward to the day when we can talk in our fangirly way about Clay.........not Clay the gay man. The time will come but I realize , as I know you do too, that it may take a little while. Just to change to topic a bit....I just wanted to make a comment about Jaymes. I don't really understand the feelings some of the fans have about her and I REALLY don't want anyone to now provide a list of faults for me to read....it's ok I don't need to know the past and besides I'm too sleepy to take it in anyway. I recall in an interview that Clay was asked what type of woman he preferred and he said (this is NOT a direct quote) he wanted a woman who was strong, who had her own opinions about things( he didn't necessarily need someone who would agree with his every word), he didn't want someone who was "frufru"(whatever that means) and he wanted someone who had a goal in life. IMO...he has found her...they love each other and they are best friends. I hope they are there for each other for a very long time. Parker is a very lucky little boy..a lot of conventional marriages don't stand the test of time but I have a feeling their love and friendship is here for the long haul. JMO FOLKS.
