  1. OH, WOW!!! (tm Dennis) It will be my lifelong sorrow that I didn't see him in that beard in person....but that ATDW promo look was a really, really close second for droolworthyness.

Don't get me wrong, I love, worship and adore Clay's many looks and hairstyles, but the dark hair, bangs and stubble/beard seems to stimulate my saliva glands....BIGTIME!

Thanks for posting those, keepingfaith...I'm off to find a bib...and a mop! :whistling-1:

  2. FromClaygary ... we are one on the sideburns. I've held my tongue (fingers?) but the sideburns are definitely my sNOwflake.

Make that a threesome, I'm not a sideburns gal either, especially when his hair is shorter. But as I've said many times, I wouldn't kick him out of bed, regardless.

Aikim...Happy Birthday!! Wow, next year you're going to be celebrating yours and Mr Aikim's anniversary, your daughter's anniversary and your birthday...all within days of each other!

Gibby, thanks for posting that great review! Seems we're appreciated afterall!

  3. Adding my wishes for everyone in Ike's path to stay safe! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

Echoing this and remembering the horror of 9/11/01. Be safe, people!

OK, which one of you Ontario fans has a little red car with a bumper sticker that just says "CLAY"? My co-worker thought it was me....except my car is not red. Has a couple of Clay stickers, though!

I have a red van and a window sticker that says "I'd rather be at a Clay Aiken concert", but unless your co-worker has been in Stratford lately, it's not likely me.

  4. Happy birthday, ausdon!

Haven't commented on the Hannah/Clay picture...knowing that Clay is with Jaymes and the baby in NC, it is just a little squicky to me to be shipping him with Hannah...probably the Lone Ranger on this one.

    Kim

They say you're never alone in the Claynation, and I feel squicky about it too, even though I love Hannah to death and adore that photo of the two of them. My interpretation of Clay's expression is that he looks schmoopie and sad that Hannah is leaving the show and he got a little sentimental about it. Somehow though, until he absolutely denies a romantic relationship with Jaymes, I'm gonna feel funny about shipping him with anyone else. Think I'll just ship him with Parker for the time being.

God, I sound like such a prude...and anyone who knows me, knows that isn't true...AT ALL! (waves to cindilu2, luckiest1, From Claygary, goldarngirl, Bella 19, heinz and Iseeme!) :whistling-1:

I do have to agree on the statement "Wow, and GAH!" however! :hubbahubba:

  5. Good morning,

Thought I'd start the week (yes, I know it's Tuesday) with a shout out to my FCA friends...that would be all of you, of course. :F_05BL17blowkiss:

I had to work on Saturday and Sunday in my wine shop (although it's not really MY wine shop). On Saturday there were three of us working and it was steady, but not overwhelmingly busy. On Sunday I was working alone because Sunday is usually slow and all hell broke loose. Everyone thought that we'd be closed on Monday, which was not the case, and they all stocked up. I had $2230. in sales in 4 hours. That's a lot of wine when you consider the average sale is about $15.00. I know I had over a hundred customers, but everyone was cheerful and upbeat so it made the day go faster. I was sure tired when I got home though and, thankfully, had the day off yesterday.

Now I realize this little saga is not as interesting as our world travellers and holidayers, but I keep feeling like I should contribute something to the thread every once in awhile.

Clay, content? (with the accent on the second syllable). Yes, I think he is....very! :lilredani:

  6. (Waves to FromClaygary!! ) Are you still enjoying your holiday...no phone calls from work?

KAndre and Scarlett, enjoying your travelogue and the photos are gorgeous!

I've been working a lot this week, but last weekend my family threw a surprise party for my DH and me. (We both had special birthdays and 25th wedding anniversary this summer). Couldn't believe they pulled it off without either of us suspecting, the kids didn't even give it away.

Yay...only 50 days until the Gala. Won't be getting to Spamalot this fall or winter, just can't afford it, so the Gala is it for me, but since I've never been to one, I'm thrilled to be able to go. Also this will be my first trip to any of the southern states, except for Florida, years ago. Really looking forward to seeing Clay's hometown.

I've got to work two days this weekend (the joys of retail), although I do get Monday off. The job is so much fun, I really don't mind it. Talking to people about wine and then selling it to them is not exactly hard work for me.

  7. Wow, I just read words that resounded for me. "We all thought we'd lose him." Well, we're not going to lose him anytime soon. He's going to be on Broadway, again. He's going to be at the Gala, again! He'g going to be visible....at least until January 4th, again. And after that, a short break, maybe, and he'll be visible again, and again.

One can hope, and one can pray...and one can believe!!!

cindilu2, when I grow up, I want to be you :F_05BL17blowkiss: .....oh, wait... :hysterical:

  8. Some boards with declining posterage (I have trademarked that word. So there!) might want to consider that reading picky critical shit or thinly veiled self-important neener-neener crap every day is just not how others want to spend their free time. Has nothing to do with Clay's personal life choices. If I want to read about negative crap, I'll make CNN my home page. (And no, I don't mean Clay News Network). :-) Being a Clay fan is not a job or a grim responsibility, ya know.

Oh my. SO much word to this.

Every time I see someone bleating about the 'declining' message board activity I want to scream these words. Thanks for putting it so succinctly djs. It can't be said enough. My declinage postage (still gonna tm you on that one djs, I just bastardized it!) has absolutely nothing to do with any loss of interest in, or admiration for, Clay, and everything to do with being tired of the 'picky critical shit or thinly veiled self-important neener-neener crap' :wordpooper:

Clay Aiken? Love him - more today than yesterday. Not as much as tomorrow. Hey! I think there's a song in there somewhere!

Just woke up, gotta to to work, too tired to think, so....^^^^^^ Yeah, THAT!!

  9. Thanks so much annabear!

Funny about the cat, but it kind of makes sense...I notice there are some people whose voices I find grating so I imagine it would be the same with animals and cats have pretty sensitive ears.

    Kim

Yup, my DIL is a country music fan and has a pretty decent voice, but her cat couldn't stand when she sang...Reba (the cat), would literally attack her. To us non-country fans it was perfectly understandable because we often felt like doing the same, but that cat was really a critic and they eventually had to give her away....afterall, the kids are growing up to be country fans too! :cryingwlaughter:

However, with Grandma, they listen to, and appreciate, Clay! :whistling-1:
