  1. So now that I've been worded by KAndre, can I apply for some sort of entry level sub-minion position?  Will I get my very own boa to wear?  Maybe an orange one - Clay would be sure to notice me in the audience wearing his favorite color...

Gee, that was fast - there's a box on my front door step.  Slightly singed, but it probably went through the same delivery process that tore a big hole in my fan club package...  Let me just open it up, and slip my new boa around my neck.

AACCKK - it's a boa alright - a boa constrictor!!!!  And this package isn't from [pant, pant] Texas, it's from.... TSATHY!!!! [Gasp, gasp, gasp]  He must have gotten wind of my [huff, huff] intention to TOUCH.BRIDE. if given the opportunity...

Curses to you TSATHY!!!  As my last breathe is squeezed out of me, I shout:  TSATHY.NOT.BIG.BONED.  TSATHY.JUST.PLAIN.FAT.  [pant, gasp, gurgle, thunk]

Bwah...I was wondering if Tsathy will find us in our new home...I guess we now know the answer to that.

For those that are not familiar with Tsathy here is the thread in the Clackhouse that explains all...tsathy tales...

  2. I am a mother of a lovely 4 year old little girl with Down syndrome...her name is Caitlin. I feel so blessed to be her mother because through her I learned to appreciate my children for who they are and not who I want them to be. Being a mom of a special child like Cai has many challenges for sure but the rewards are so overwhelming that I feel so blessed that I was given the privilege to care for her.

This thread is a place for people to share their experiences...their joys, frustrations, tips, information, challenges...and just any story you may want to share about your child.

  3. Ok gotta chime in here...

Some of you may know that I live in a small town in the middle of Quebec Canada...so the nearest English movie house is an hour away and the movies come pretty late... and I have three daughters so the VCR and DVD's usually play disney, Sponge Bob or some pre-teen movie...anyway...

Batman movie...loved it. Had to watch this from a bootleg download that was shaky since my codecs are all screwed up...But it grabbed my interest from the beginning that I watched this shaky movie till the end. I think this is my favorite Batman of all because they didn;t treat it like a comic book but more like a novel about real people. Batman was very real...and I like the fact that the love angle is not so stupid...they treated each other like intelligent human beings...they were honest and also made realistic choices. Hope they continue this series in the same style...

Madagascar...love this film, so much more than Shrek and Sharktales...I could watch this again and again...good thing because my 4 year old watches it everyday.

Hoping to get a download of Chocolate factory...if its good...my daughters love the Gene Wilder version.

  4. To me, Clay came off in the TV Guide article as having a lot of substance.  He made some pretty profound comments about relationships and family that make my heart ache just a little bit.

And on the shallow side, which is infinitely more fun, the pictures are entirely lickable.  Rrrawh!!  I was a little worried about the state of the eyebrows after the "Wicked" pics, but they seem to have recovered nicely.

Oh I'm a lover of visible eyebrows too...ditto on the profound statements and Couchie I do hope he can feel secure enough to just get out of LA.

I think this second CD is really worrying him...he has heard enough from the media, the fans, that this could make or break him...I don't personally agree...but maybe that is worrying him and that is why he feels he cannot really come home. Hopefull if the second one is a success as well he will feel confident enough to just get out of LA

I really want him to find a significant other...sigh

  5. The TV guide scans are now posted in the FCA gallery...link is at the top of the page, below the banner.

    Several things struck me:

...he really seem different. I wonder if the trip to Indonesia and Uganda made him more introspective.

He is sooo gorgeous...I like this new look and that pose...

The positioning is changing. I think their target demographic has changed. They are going for the 20 to 40 group I think. Even his attitude of being slightly jaded, searching for a place to belong, wanting to settle down but is conflicted by the pressure of his career is very typical in this age. Gone is the giggly guy in awe of his surroundings.

Sad that the CD is not coming this year...but with two concerts...and 100 songs in JBT...I cannot complain.

I think this happened because Clay is really taking his music seriously. This is not just him singing or interpreting other people's songsn, this is Clay expressing himself through song. I suspect there was a lot of conflict with CLive with this album and he finally was able to get his own way...a new EP that will allow him to take control of the music. So the project had to be pushed back until he was comfortable with the direction. I have no probelm with that. We get new clack...two concerts till the end of the year and several TV appearance I'm sure.

Love the talk show idea...but more like donahue more issue oriented I bet. I think that will be a fantastic ...I am just as fascinated with his mind as his voice...bring it on...

AWWW...I truly feel for CLay right now...just want to hug him and tell him ...its okay for him to find his own space ..

This article sure is meaty...answered a lot of our questions. I for one am happy with the direction he is taking. I am happy to go along for the ride.

SO more excited for the concert now...BEATLES...yesssss!!!!

  6. Elvis Medley...Sam Cook... GooGooDolls...Funk...Hair Band...Andrew Sisters?...Moam...

Do we know enough to try and guess what Clay will have in his Concert...Try and make a guess...

list down 10 to 24 songs you think will be on the set list. we will see who can guess the most songs.

You can make/edit predictions until the 6pm ET on July 28...

Who will have the bragging rights of having the best insight into Clay's musical taste...

  7. <snip>

Okay, I'm prepared to take my punishment for whining.  [Makes plans to escape from KAndre's torture device by getting her monologing.  A useful tip a picked up from watching The Incredibles, along with the "No capes!" rule.  ;) ]

    Bwah...love the Incredibles...

But seriously...the disheveled look is what made those shots so sexy...it looks like he just finished re-enacting the limousine scene from No Way Out...rowr...

I just think Mr. Aiken will always be a little unconventional with his fashion sense...

  8. I'd like to remind people that we have started a pin trading section where people can post about what they are looking for and what they have to offer...good way of completing the 2005 series.

I predict the Pin thing will be here to stay...just like the different boards for CLay, the cellcerts, the concert get togethers...its just something else that will make our fandom unique.

I see this developing like stamp collecting...there will be different series that could be collected...e.g. the states series....wouldn't it be cool if we could complete all 50 states...then there is the board/fan group series...the JBT concert series.

Then we can do different designs for the upcoming CD release...etc.

Is there any other celebrities/artist out there that have a series of pins?

  9. EEEEEE I love that pose too...

I really have no problem with what he said on the tv guide interveiw...there is one thing I am really eager to see...what is the Clay sound? That is very exciting to me. I think I will totally like the songs he will choose because so far I have liked his choices for the concerts. I truly think that is the best clue we have.

Some people have said that they think it will be glory noting...AC style. I personally do not see that. What song has he chosen in the last concerts that fit this. Solitaire is out this was chosen for him or he chose it because of the AI theme. I don't think the moam songs fit either since he already said that he does not relate to them. The two CCM song choice of GN and YWT tells me that he likes unusual melodic phrases, dramatic lyrics...then we have WDC, the duets he chose, the acoustic numbers...the way he rearranged IWCY...this tells me that the CLay sound will be unique, dynamic and breathtaking...just like him...I can't wait.

There is one song I heard recently that is number one in my Clay wish list...Getting over you...that song makes me cry and I truly hope will be a song Clay could sing in the future

So any thoughts on what the Clay sound will be?

  10. Our Wild About Clay board is fairly new.  It was created in Dec 2004 after our old board shut down because the owners were getting really busy with real life.  We felt like orphans wandering around in the internet world but luckily we had a plan to meet at another board to try to regroup.  I had been working on a family forum and thought that maybe, just maybe if people were interested I could create a board for us to gather in.  The hardest part was trying to think of a name but Wild About Clay popped up and I loved the acronym which describes many of our members WAC (or WACky or WhACked  ).  Please come and visit us if you have some time - we welcome everyone with open arms and answer every post - you are definitely more than just a screen name there.  We have some strange "conversations" in our chat thread but we definitely go off-topic in all of our threads.  We talk about Clay and ourselves, post pictures of Clay and ourselves, and just have a good old time!!

Thanks to the FCA creators for giving me the opportunity to ramble on here about our wonderful little board!!

    Wild About Clay forum (WAC)

Just took a peak and it looks really neat. I like your color scheme...haven;t been able to really go in and read...but when things slows down I think I will...

    thanks for sharing

  12. To be honest, I was so busy doing the selling, that the buying was not much for me.  I did get a few, maybe 6 different pins with some multiples of certain ones.  By the time I got to the buying part, they were all sold out!  LOL

    d

Yup me too... and seriously ...Toronto is calling and I need to save for my 14 hour train ride. Totally worth it for my first concert.

SO now I really just have 6 different pins...but I guess I will have to trade for some of my favorites.

  13. Welcome Wacmom

    glad you can join us...

just saw the TV guide film clip and it was precious....

he did look more at ease during that photo shoot and he looks more mature.

I also think he is sending a message to everyone...the media and fans alike that he will make the songs that would suit him best...he won;t do songs just to further his career.,

Gotta admire a guy with that much integrity...go Clay
