  3. Report from toofargone of CH:

Just wanted to check in and give a little more insight from our friend "Steven" the usher...

He wanted us to know that they had a live band because it was being taped for aTV special for Christmas day and they wouldn't want people tuning in and hearing the backing track and think he was "lip synching." *g* Silly, silly man that Steven.

He also gave me a great demonstration of how the checking for cameras would go - asked to hold my purse, showed how he would hold it at the bottom and look "quickly" inside. There will be no wanding, metal detectors, etc., etc., Of course he did say it could depend on who was searching (we'll be looking for Steven!).

He was actually a very nice man and we stood around most of the afternoon and between all of us I believe we heard 7 of the 8 songs. But there is really only one song that matters... AIW!

I also read that he didn;t do the high note in rehearsals...so we do not know if he will do it for the show.

CH is having a stream at 10:30..good for peole that bought subscription for summer tour.

  4. Okay My name is marie, I am from birmingham, alabama, I was a ruben fan up until (this is the real truth of when I was clayverted. do not throw tomatoes at me.) january 2004, and that is when I started listen to clay sing, which blew me away. I could not beleve that i had not listened to him (clay) earlier. I love clay so much now, i sice then have brought all his albums. and i so wish i could go to his concerts but unforanly time and money has preventened me from going.

There was a so called friend (she's no longer my friend) who ( and I did post this on the CB months ago, it no longer exists) made fun of me for being a clayfrican-american because i listened to clay and said i was ethnicly confused. And no that has not discuraged me from listening to him, and she has always ragged on me for listening to him. I told her i can listen to anyone i want and if you have a problem with it, then so be it.

I so hope to see clay live one day.But until then i can look at the vids of his proformances and swoon over them them.

    Thanx for the welcome. :)

Oh I'm sure Couchie and KAndre can relate...but we love who we love!!

and I do hope you get to see Clay too...I was a long time Clay virgin before I saw him...but I am happy to have the Clack...cos I really can;t be a concert ho.

hope to see you on the main thread,..

  5. Hi everyone? I will tell everyone who i am if the topic is still active?

Welcome soulsista...this thread is always active when someone wants to introduce them self. Looking forward to getting to know you...

  6. Press release for scrapping 4 inclusion calendar:

Scrapping 4 Inclusion Announces 2008 Calendars

NewswireToday - /newswire/ - Calgary, Alberta, Canada, 10/23/2007 - Scrapping 4 Inclusion is proud to release a 2008 Calendar to benefit The Bubel/Aiken Foundation (TBAF). The Foundation was co-founded by Clay Aiken & Diane Bubel in 2003 to serve children with special needs and the goal of inclusion for ALL.

Digital Designer Erin Hooper and published poet Sally Meyer teamed up with Scrapping 4 Inclusion to create a beautiful, inspirational calendar to help spread the word about the importance of inclusion for ALL children and the mission of TBAF. This work of art has something to offer everyone, from scrapbook layout ideas to beautiful poetry and inspirational writings to some great photos of children simply living life to the fullest, together with no boundaries. Photos featured in the calendar include children with and without disabilities playing together at Let’s ALL Play Camps, participating in the Let’s ALL Scrapbook program as well as photos showcasing volunteers and TBAF staff working with the children. Also included are photos of one of the Scrapping 4 Inclusion fundraising events.

Erin Hooper, graciously donated her time and creativity to this project. Erin is a photographer and digital scrapbooker / artist from Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.

Products used for the calendar were graciously donated by Scrap Girls. Scrap Girls is making it simple and fun to become a great digital scrapbooker. They are a web-based company offering Digital Scrapbooking Supplies, Educational Movie Tutorials and eBooks, and Commercially Licensed Graphic Design Products. Scrap Girls also puts out an email newsletter six days a week full of inspiration, tutorials and digital scrapbooking freebies and they offer a free beginner’s eBook for anyone needing help understanding where to start with digital scrapbooking. Visit their website for more information.

Writing contributions for the calendar were provided by Sally Meyer. Growing up in England, Sally learned to enjoy the simpler, slower side of life. At the age of 23, she immigrated to Utah, where she married and raised eight children and two husbands. When her eighth child was diagnosed with autism, she turned to her favorite means of problem solving and soul searching—her pen and paper/keyboard. She wrote poems about living with a son who has a disability. Then going a step further she created a year-long journal of his life, which she one day hopes to publish. Sally's poetry has been published in magazines, books and many websites. She recently branched out into the world of screenwriting and has completed four full length feature scripts and a television series.

Scrapping 4 Inclusion volunteers also provided their heartfelt words describing their experiences during the Let’s ALL Scrapbook program for publication in this calendar.

The calendars can be purchased from the Scrapping 4 Inclusion Café Press store at cafepress.com/s4i. You can also find links to purchase the calendars from the Scrapping 4 Inclusion website and The Bubel/Aiken Foundation website. A 2008 Calendar will make a fantastic holiday gift. Products can be purchased directly from Café Press and shipped anywhere internationally and you can even include a ‘gift message’ with your order. About The Bubel/Aiken Foundation

The Bubel/Aiken Foundation provides services and financial assistance to promote the full integration of children with disabilities into the life environment of those without. The Foundation strives to create awareness about the diversity of individuals with disabilities and the possibilities that inclusion can bring. A step in the right direction, even if a small step, brings us closer to our goal. All children deserve to experience the fullness of a life lived without boundaries. Eliminating the stereotypes that have long been associated with physical and mental disability is the first step to erasing lines that divide us.

The mission of The Bubel/Aiken Foundation is creating communities where ALL children can learn, live, and play together. To learn more about The Bubel/Aiken Foundation please visit their Website.

  7. oh laughn those were great!!!

You probably were using the old Corel Paint program. I don't know if that is what eventually evolved to PSP cindilu2 uses so well. But I miss that old paint program too cos it was so realistic in using different mediums like water color, oil charcoal...etc. That program works in an entirely different ways than vectors or PS.

oh I googled it and its Corel painter. You should check it out cos that is a very realistic program and you are very good at it.
