So, I was listening to MCWL on my iPod today and I realized something... I don't have Merry Christmas, With Love as an actual CD! :o My brother procured (don't ask me how) a copy of it either when it first came out or shortly afterwords and we never listened to it (which is why I didn't become a Clay fan until OMWH) and then I dug the burned copy out again after I had become a 'mate and added it to my iTunes. Which means I don't actually have the CD! I'm a bad fan! I have a hole in my collection! I'm going to buy a copy off of Amazon.com, I think.

I work for my university and I just realized (after finally deciphering their pay system) that they owe me for 3 weeks worth of work. :/ At least one week's worth is my fault (in that I didn't catch the problem sooner) but this is my first job and I was royally confused by their pay system. I've emailed my bosses to see if they're going to handle it (which, it's partly their fault, so that's a real confidence-booster) or if I need to go deal with payroll myself. Ick.

Anyway, just needed to rant a little. Wish me luck in getting my money!

It's funny. For me, UM is a Clay song, plain and simple. I don't even know that I've heard the original.

I'm such a goof. Some posts back, someone mentioned how David Foster intro'd Clay as his brother-in-law and I was momentarily confused. I was going like, Well, isn't he? Oh, wait... Hee.

Hm. Young, cute, male AI runner-up releases a pop first album and a Christmas follow-up. Wasn't that something Clay got soundly derided for? And now they're doing it to Archuleta... that makes sense. </sarcasm> Also... a Christmas album in mid-October? Is that a little early or is it just me?

Clay content: Clay Aiken has absolutely ruined anyone else singing Christmas music for me. I listened to the samples of DA singing and on every one that Clay has also sung, I was thinking the entire time that it was man vs. boy. Clay's voice is just so much richer... more powerful... and then on the songs that DA sang that Clay hasn't, I just kept wondering how they would sound if he did record them!

I know I haven't been a fan very long, but goodness! I can't believe that I can watch a video of Clay that I've seen many, many times before and still be a grinning fool at the end! I know all the jokes, I've heard the performance, and yet I'm still left with an ear-to-ear smile!

It's kind of funny. These two are so similar and they're also the final two!
