  1. Happy Independence Day a little bit early. What's everybody doing tomorrow?

    HAPPY 4TH!!

    thcb07ab44.gif

FromClaygary, that's so pretty! I love it!

I intend to try my hand at grilling some chicken leg quarters tomorrow. Ever since my dad dropped a tree on his gas grill, I've been the unofficial griller at our house on the little charcoal grill I begged my mom for. Here's to not burning or undercooking anything (too badly)!! :laugh2:

    HAPPY FOURTH!

  2. Ooh, a Clay shirt. My mom thinks having his face on my chest is too obsessive, though, unless I got a concert tee. So, he needs to do a concert!

Oh, and treenuts AT is Auto-Tune, which is a digital enhancer for singers. You can hear an extreme case with Cher's Believe or, as shown above, T-Pain and even Jamie Foxx when he squawks sings. Mostly, though it is used to enhance bad singing and make them sound passable or make mediocre singers sound good.

:/ I can see why singers use it, but to my mind, the "boner" notes are nice in their own right. (How magical would Merrillville have been if he hadn't had a boner the night before?) I was ranting about AT to my mother and said I'd probably give up music altogether if Clay ever used it and my mom said she didn't think he did because he has some boner notes. I'm so glad I have a chance to put Clay and 'boners' in the same sentence. :hubbahubba:

  3. I hate how the media always seems so secretly gleeful when someone at all famous dies. I remember when Anna Nicole Smith died, I just couldn't stand watching any tabloid-esque shows because they all seemed so fake-sad, so happy that they had something to cover. Maybe it's just me reading that into it. It could be that they just have the same emotions when they're covering any kind of news, but I found (and still find) most "news" coverage of a celebrity's death appalling.

As for Michael himself, I think I should keep my mouth shut since I don't really know much about him, but I did want to make one comment. For me, and probably for a lot in my generation, he's always been the "wacko Jacko" not the genius musician. But I've always found him to be incredibly sad--the epitome of money can't buy happiness.

  4. *wistful sigh* Someday I'd like to see a Clay concert. Clack is nice in the meantime. I sorta wish he'd come right to where I live, but the closest he'll probably get to me is Nashville or Atlanta. Birmingham would be nice...

I'm sad. I found out today that one of my favorite singers (Reba McEntire) uses Auto-Tune. :( Think anyone has ever tried getting Clay to use Auto-Tune? I hate AT, which is why whenever my friends tease me about how much I like Clay and other AI alums, I just say that at least we know they can sing.

  5. Thanks, Scarlett :cryingwlaughter::cryingwlaughter:

Since we have no new Clay pics to share, I just saw this new pic of Reed in front of the Marriot in Moscow posted at OC -

    Cute!!

tree... WOW... that Reed has curly hair! I wonder if it is natural or helped to be that curly. I can just imagine someone running his fingers thru those soft curls...

    I meant Reed...

    yah, right! :cryingwlaughter:

    cognitogrrl... :welcome22:Fresh meat... :whistling-1:

    :needclay:

merrieeee... maybe you can enjoy this snowflake picture??? Hope'n so!!!

That's some yummy fresh meat! :hubbahubba:

  6. Just curious... to everyone else who's using a cell phone here:

Do you use a ringtone or answertone and would you share what they are (name of song/artist or words&speaker)?

Heh heh. I have Invisible as my ringtone. I don't know what an answertone is... And my phone won't let me customize the text tones. :( I have an LG 600G tracfone, so that probably is why. The ringtone quality is pretty craptastic but, hey, it's better than the preloaded ones. I'd like to add ALAWH or FIEKY but I'm not computer savvy so it takes me a long time. Plus, I don't have my computer anymore, so that's hard...

It's funny. Whenever my phone goes off around my friends they give me these looks. One time one of them went, "That's so embarrassing!" and my response was "It ain't your ringtone!" Of course, that's actually why I picked Invisible. I knew that one would bug them the most. :cryingwlaughter: Tee hee hee.

  7. Pfft, cool or uncool, Clay's Clay and that's just fab. I mean, the way I think of it, all the "cool" people blend together. So what if he's uncool? Just means he's marching to the beat of his own drum (or orchestra). I called one of my best friends "weird" today and we agreed that it was a compliment. So I just think of Clay being called "uncool" as really a compliment... means he's not a sheep doing what everybody else is, 'sall! :laugh2:

Also, I appear to have gone from clayzycoffin to layzycoffin and missed wishing Couchie and Ansa HAPPY BIRTHDAYs!! This must be fixed! Happy (belated) Birthday, Couchie and Ansa!!! :BlowKiss:

  8. Happy Birthday, justclay12!

Has AL become Voldemort? Goodness! Quick, raise your hand if you too thought that the biggest post-finale Idol story was going to be Clay Aiken vs. Lamdemort! :laugh2: I know it's been said before, but other than The Clayman and Lamdemort are both gay, were on Idol, and have hot boyfriends, they don't have that much in common... Whatevs.

ETA: I keep forgetting to thank, PermaSwooned for trying to answer my question! *raps self on head* Thanks, PermaSwooned! It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but it made my day! *glances at treenuts' birthday offering* Now there's a happy birthday present!

  9. Can I :yeahthat: to the last few pages? And :tasty: to the gifs!

I have a picture request (I don't think there's a gif for it). I think it's a tour photo of Clay from the SRHPT where he has his arms folded and he's looking at the camera with one hand out with the palm up. I can't think of the word to describe it... sort of a "what do you think'' gesture, perhaps? Wish I could remember more about it other than that (and that Clay's brow might be knitted...) Anyone wanna take a shot on such a sketchy description?

  10. Aw, poor 00lsee! I hope you get to feeling better fast!

As for the whole backpack/sleeve fiasco... I've decided on a sleeve! *fanfare applause* :P It was cheaper and I already have backpacks I like, so I figure I'll just stick the laptop into the sleeve and into the backpack and be done with it.

Neil Patrick Harris is a blast! Has anyone seen the internet musical he did, Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long? It was written by Joss Whedon, of whom I'm a huge fan, but I haven't seen it yet. Too bad Clay didn't make the Tony's... I was hoping he'd sing or at least debut a new hairstyle for us to fight over dissect love!

  11. Thanks, jmh123! It was alright... It was mostly me stuck in a car with my mother for 2 weeks. I missed FCA! And it seems Clay went and made the news while I was gone! What timing, ha ha :D

I have a question though: Is something up with Clack Unlimited? I can't seem to access it, but I don't know if it's just my computer or what.

Oh wait, I have another question, for the more electronically-oriented FCA-ers. (Not Clay-related, bad me... ) I'm looking into getting either a laptop backpack or a neoprene sleeve for my laptop since I lug it to school all the time and worry about damage. I have a lot of backpacks already (though none with laptop compartments) and a sleeve would be cheaper so I'm leaning towards a sleeve, but I was wondering if anyone has either/both and has an opinion. :BlowKiss:

  12. I just read about 37 pages (from page 50 of the last thread to about 7 here, then my computer brought me to the end here)... Where's the weeble-wobble emotie?? *hunts* Found it! :Imok:

Can't say everything I was planning to say, forgot it all already... Thanks for all the birthday wishes, yes Clay does have big balls (and I love them too!), what Adam Susan Boyle didn't win?, and I love FCA! :laugh2: Off to read some more now!

  13. :hello:

Well, I'm going on vacation in the morning (hopefully) so I thought I'd say 'bye tonight! Been lurking and reading and pretty much enjoying all the convos. I'm gonna miss them while I'm gone! I need to make a big Clack list to download when I get back. Haven't been able to get the UM video or the DF&F Clack, yet... :(

    Ah, well. Cheerio!

    ETA:

I want Clay to record Unchained Melody. Just record it now and put it on iTunes. No album necessary. No promotion. Just do it!

And "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me." It's ridiculous that there isn't a version of that on iTunes. And a complete To Love Somebody. I'd better stop now.

:yeahthat: For me, Somewhere Out There and Tell Her About It and Build Me Up Buttercup are on that list!

  14. Man, I'm late. I like those snow pictures, but more for those sexy bedroom eyes than anything else about them. (My mind is a few pages back... give it a minute to catch up...)

Clay had COSMETIC SURGERY??? OMG, I can't love this man anymore! The chin-fat suckage totally means he can't SING, ACT, or be FREAKING HILARIOUS anymore! I'm done with Clay!

Yeah right. I could never be done with Clay. :laugh2: Couldn't the fat suckage have been somewhat medical anyway? You know, like have helped the surgeons work on his jaw better? Not that I care. He can have anything sucked that he wants... I might even volunteer to help him with that... *boots Reed out of the way, whistling innocently*

Couldn't watch 30 Rock :tears: Ever since this switch to digital, NBC hasn't been coming in in digital or analog. *glares at it* I guess I'll just have to wait.

  15. Whoo, I've been trying to catch up with all the posting recently! I'll try to see if I remember anything of what I was going to say... The recaps are awesome! Clay looks delicious! The new banner is triply delicious! I haven't had a chance to watch any of the initial Clack yet because I've been busy getting ready to leave, but I'm hoping I'll get the chance soon and I'm sure it too will be nummy, nummy eye/ear candy. :tasty:

I know I'm forgetting lots... Ooh, I'm pretty sure today is my one year anniversary of being a Clay fan! I know, I'm still a newbie yet, but it was a year ago today that Clay was on the Tonight Show promoting OMWH, right? If so, and I think I'm right, then yep, today marks the day that I went wonky over Clay! I should go watch that interview to celebrate. :D
