  1. I'm not so hot on Adam (a little shrieky, IMO, but whatevs, right? :D) but I gotta say I loved his duet with Allison last night! I think it was about the second time I really, really liked Adam's performance. Still, I he can't compare with our sexy singer man! :laugh2: Can anyone imagine what it would be like if they had done these themes when Clay had been on? They've done rock, disco, country... can't remember the others, but I know those three were the square holes to Clay's round... peg...

:sleezy: Totally inadvertent, I swear!

  2. Personally, I just want to be in on some smut, but I can't seem to think of anything good... I do enjoy a good smut session! Ha, I never would have thought that becoming a fan of Clay Aiken (who, I confess with my head hung down in shame, I regarded as "that geeky guy from Idol?" before becoming a fan) would allow me to make suggestive comments right and left. Whoo for all the little advantages to being a fan!

  3. this was just posted on the OFC

    David Foster and Friends

    Location: Mandalay Bay Events Center

    Date: May 9th, 2009

    Price: $134.25, $81.75, $55.50

Back by popular demand, a concert celebration featuring music’s premier songwriter and producer David Foster will take place Saturday, May 9 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. The event will pay tribute to the 15-time Grammy winner and will feature Clay Aiken, Philip Bailey from the chart-topping band Earth, Wind & Fire, Brian McKnight, Peter Cincotti and Oprah Winfrey’s protégé, Charice. Foster also will perform some of the hits he has written or produced during his 40-year musical career. The event is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

where do I donate my money to send Scarlett to this?

I am going to see Josh Gracin in a few weeks & he has a cd signing after wonder if I should take Clay's answer about Josh is full crap to him

    ??? I thought he seemed OK... :(

And, WHOOO-HOO for Clay to be performing somewhere! Wonder what?

  4. A few things I just don't get:

    1. "Fan" competition. I just don't get it.

    2. Why Clay gets slammed on the shirts and sweaters he wears. I think has his own casual and very unique style. I'm around at least 500 guys in their 20s and 30s five days a week. Clay's wardrobe is contemporary and undoubtedly more expensive, but very much like what guys wear every day, only better.

    3. Idol hate. Without Idol the world wouldn't have Clay. Sure the show is manipulative and can be ugly on occasion (the case for every reality show I know of), but it's Idol and sometimes a star really is born. As far as the principals are concerned, Idol could be around long after Simon, Paula and Randy are retired.

    4. Jennifer Hudson. She has a powerful voice, but I don't especially like the songs she recorded. Her album doesn't grab me and blow my mind -- and I kind of need that in my music. I don't know if Jordin Sparks will take an R&B turn in her career, but I heard her sing some Aretha in front of Aretha last year, and she did blow me away. And I love Allison this year.

    5. Why staying on top seems to be much harder for women than men in the music business, and especially in country music. Some of those old dudes are around long after they've lost their voices and their charms, but female country stars flame and fade so quickly. I have a friend who's a country fan, and looking through her album collection really drove that home to me. I guess it's still a beauty contest for the girls.

    6. Why some of the fans at OFC post 10 or 12 off-the-wall questions in a row that anybody with a ounce of sense knows Clay won't answer. What's up with that?

Okay that's it. Everything else I get. Oh, yeah, except maybe why KAndre loves to travel so much!!!!!!!

I think it's always a beauty contest for girls. Guys can get paunchy and bald and wear glasses and still get movie roles as the sexy stud-man (*coughNICHOLAS CAGEcoughcough*) while a woman has to be 22 and a stick or she's being cast as the mother or mother-in-law. Same thing with music. Voice, like acting talent, isn't the most important thing, looks are. Of course, I can only name about four female country singers (Reba, Dolly, Faith Hill, and Taylor Swift) so maybe I'm just talking out my rear. :)

  5. I have a totally off-topic question...I finally joined that freakin' Twitter thing so I could get timely Woots and now strange people are FOLLOWING me! As far as I know, I've never even twitted something. Man. And some person who name isn't even in Roman script wants me to add them as a contact. Why is all this social networking going on? Don't they realize I'm am NOBODY'S target demographic? I'm blaming RCA.

Clay is up to something. I like that in a man.

Depends on what he's getting up... to. :laugh2:

Love the new banner! Nothing like logging onto the internet and being greeted with Stubble!Clay! and a zoom in on his crotch!

    Uh, I mean, his buttons.

Like hearing the little tidbits about Clay answering questions from fans--tempts me more and more to find the moolah for an OFC membership. *ponders*

Oh, and today I counted up the ink cartridges I've collected--50 even! It seems like a small amount, but I'm pretty pleased with it. I intend to keep it going next semester, which means plastering more flyers and making up some more boxes since the ones I have up now will probably get tossed by housing. I'm hoping to save some of the ones that don't look too ratty.

Even his toes are cute! Not that I spent time studying them or anything... :whistling-1:

And, oh yeah forgot to mention, STUBBLE! :hubbahubba: I think I have a stubble addiction when it comes to Clay... other folks? I don't care. But Clay stubble... :tasty:

  7. One of the problems with the question thread is that the posts already number over 2000 and I understand why fans are reluctant to spend the time reading all of them to see if their particular question has already been asked.

I sure didn't read every post - I mostly power-skimmed to find Clay's responses, and just scanned a few of the questions until things slowed down. It seemed to me, though, that the questions he answered this afternoon were more recent ones. I suspect that getting answers in the future will be very much a function of lucky timing. If I were Clay (besides hopping on a plane to France in the very near future*), I'd scan back a page or two to find questions I wanted to answer. I wouldn't read the whole thread.

    *Seriously, Holy Six-Pack, Batman! :tasty:

    th_post_7217_1240624493.jpg

The six-pack's nice, but I see something sticking out a little lower that seems more worthy of close attention... :sleezy:

What? :whistling-1: I consider myself muskifest's backup in situations like this... maybe the third-string option... Yikes, I think I've been watching too much draft coverage!

ETA: Wonder what Clay would look like if he got all ripped like that... :tasty: Think Reed'll rub off on him...? *resists the urge to post another "sleezy" face*

  8. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

    I couldn't resist!

Soooooooooooo pretty! I frigging love glasses on Clay! Glasses and stubble slay me so bad! Everything else gives me a little zing, but glasses and stubble knock. me. out! :tasty:

    OK, I'll stop now.

ETA: Messed up trying to copy the picture... what? Confused now.

EATA: For clarity, I know he's stubble-less in those pictures, I was just leaping from the idea of glasses are sexy to stubble is sexy and I love glasses and stubble... I don't know what I was saying, the hotness has me all scattered of brain!

  9. clayzy, if you hit the little "quote" button at the end of each post you wish to quote, and then hit the "add reply" button at the bottom of your screen, all your quoted posts should be there. Then, delete out the stuff you don't want to quote, and voila!

I'm all over the map regarding what I love and what I don't. It's just my taste, and I own it. I do, however, have a problem with things being "oversold" to me, and I try not to do that, even with Clay. Gotta say I don't always succeed though -- because I would heartily recommend "Slumdog Millionaire" to anyone! I am also a firm believer in trying things more than once. I found it frustrating when some people listened to ATDW once and then put it away -- I found I appreciated some of the songs more the more they inhabited my consciousness!

Me too! The first time I listened to ATDW, I think I decided on BW, ATD, BYLM, and TOA as my favorites and, since I put it on my iPod, those were practically the only ones I listened to. And then I went back and started listening to it again and just about slapped myself for leaving out IWTKWLI!! Same thing happened with OMWH--I never noticed ALAWH until it popped up in my shuffle one day and it's probably my favorite now. I think there's something about not listening them just with the other songs on the CD because I sort of stop paying attention when I do that, but when it gets shuffled around to I pay more attention. Or something.

  10. Searching down in the far reaches of my photobucket for some vintage good stuff and early favs:

    SingaporeMOAM.jpg

Hummuna, hummuna, hummuna! I love that shirt! (And the man inside is pretty damn too.) I don't think I've ever seen it before...

Also, I need to figure out how to quote multiple posts from multiple pages... I saw a Stubble!Clay! pic from the Tonight Show (I think), which is about the sexiest effin' stubble I think I've ever seen Clay have! Stubble=:tasty:

Here's a random aside that has nothing to do with the other random asides... I want Clay to sing "I Kissed A Girl"! :hahaha:

ETA: Are we discussing pop culture? Good, someone should explain it to me. :laugh2: I really, really don't understand pop culture aimed at my age group--what, just because we're 25 and under we're supposed to like a lack of talent as long as it isn't wearing many clothes?? Pfft to that.

Although I will also add that I don't mind talent with a lack of clothes... :sleezy:

  11. I sometimes don't get fanaticism. Susan Boyles sounded fine to me but I'm not spending six years to follow her. And with all the press she is getting that's what I would call it. My favorite female voice of all time will always be Maria Callas. Unfortunately even I wasn't old enough to have seen her in person.

We watched the movie "MaMa Mia" Last night on DVD and neither of us could wait for it to be over. I think I would rather have listened to an ABBA cd, thank you very much. Sound of music in Greece, without the great voices. We paid for it so we had to watch it. I'm so cheap.

Maybe I'm just cranky. The prednisone I'm taking for the poison oak makes me want to sleep all the time. Except for the burn spots it's getting cleared up.

Hope you all have a great day.

I like to buy DVDs from pawn stores. They're usually in good condition and around $2-$3 a pop, so if it's a horrible movie it doesn't seem like a big waste of money but if it's a good one, I've got the DVD to keep. I've found some surprisingly good ones that way. It's also a good way for me to get to see movies that were really buzzy at one time but have cooled off since.
