  1. My parents are embarrassed by me all the time hey that article mentioned his CD
  2. here you go Canfly http://foodallergies.about.com/od/seafooda...p/shellfish.htm are you the real Canfly or the fake Canfly because I don't see many cute pictures in your posts? The conspiracy of the non-smiley posts of Canfly
  3. That was not a very good report/sighting. No hair report? No clothes report? lazy journalism !!! When I see that cartoon picture I am reminded of the little girl I nanny for. Well she isn't that little anymore she is 9 now. When she was 3 she loved the Little Mermaid movie. On Mondays I had to grocery shop for the family. After her brother went to Kindergarten we would go to the grocery store. Get the free kid cookie & go to look at the lobsters. One day when looking at the lobsters she started crying. The lady behind the counter aksed her what was wrong and she asked "is that Sebastian?" and they answered no we don't sell any famous crabs or lobsters here.
  4. your welcome it was fun to talk about music for a little while. I always enjoy concerts. Can't always afford to go to them. Couchie I agree about Micheal Jackson. It is sad to see him now. Thriller and Bad were such great albums. Thriller was one of the best videos at the time. My friends husband is a high roller at the casino by us. Sometimes he gives me his free tickets. Two people that I enjoyed that I probably would have never gone to see on my own were Liza Minnelli and Tom Jones. They both put on very entertaining shows and I didn't know any of their music. Last time I watched Top Model this girl was talking to a tree. It was very strange and I watch trash tv all the time but I just could not deal with the drama on that show for some reason. It will be interesting to see Clay's acting challenge & his judging. Now to see when/where this show is & if I even get this station.
  5. Jmh glad your mom is okay sending hugs to you as for the other conversation soft songs and/or big lights to me it depends on the artist. I went to see Carrie Underwood and the opening act before them Blue Country was just two guys on stage singing & playing their guitars they were totally awesome. Actually purchased their cd after the concert. I went to see Big &Rich in concert. There was a big light show, some things thrown out in the audience back up dancers. Which show was better do me? Both were just as good.
  6. Do you have a job? CAP MR/DD worker. I work with a 13-year old young man with autism. Do you have any formal singing training? Occasional coaching for auditions. Where have you performed before? School functions in high school. Host of the North Carolina Music Connection. When did you first start to sing? I've been singing for as long as I can remember. My mother would say I've been singing since 18 months. What is your favorite song to sing? "Unchained Melody". What is the first concert you went to? I don't really know. What is the last concert you went to? James Taylor. What other talents do you have? I can turn both of my feet around backwards. If you don't make it on AMERICAN IDOL, what will you do? Prepare for graduation and a career teaching students with special needs. What are your goals in life? Success, happiness, stability. I would love to be known as a generous and selfless person. What album would your friends be surprised you own? My tastes are pretty eclectic. I can't think much would surprise them. What is the first CD you ever bought? Don't know. What is in your CD player right now? "This Is Who I Am" by Jody McBrayer. Who is your AMERICAN IDOL? My mother is the strongest person I know. What is your favorite type of music? I love music with strong melodies where the singer really has to sing. I like jazz, some slow R&B and pop/country ballads. What is your favorite song? Don't know. Favorite male pop artist? Jon Secada or Peter Cetera. Favorite female pop artist? Country crossovers like Shania Twain and Faith Hill. Favorite album? I LOVE James Taylor's "Hourglass." Who in the music world do you think your style is most like? A little Harry Connick, Jr., a little Elton John, a little Jon Secada. Most embarrassing moment? Goodness, I've gotten so used to embarrassing myself that I don't really get embarrassed that often. If you couldn't sing, which talent would you most like to have? I wish I could draw like my friend Meredith. Even her handwriting is art! What has been your proudest moment in life so far? I'm pretty dang proud of being in the final 32 of AMERICAN IDOL. What is your definition of an AMERICAN IDOL? Someone with a talent that leaves a mark on American society and inspires people to think, feel, love, act. Why do you want to be an AMERICAN IDOL? American celebrities have an amazing amount of influence on the way America thinks, feels and acts. I think that such influences should be used in the most positive way possible. Do you think the audition process was fair? Tough, but fair. I probably would have voted a different way a few times, but the judges' jobs were very tough. VERY. Who is your favorite judge and why? Randy. He is probably the best at giving truly constructive criticism. Who is your least favorite judge and why? I'm not stupid enough to answer thiss question. What advice do you have for other hopefuls? Believe in yourself and practice, practice, practice. What would people be surprised to learn about you? I don't really hide much. Not many surprises here. Who did you think was going to win last season? Probably Tamyra. If you could be a performer from any era, which would you choose and why? Big band in the 1940s. Music really brought people together during that era. of course those were his choices 6 years ago
  7. very interesting questions I felt the CD on OMWH had Christian music feel to some of the songs. At the meadow brook concert he said he was excited to be on the same stage as Allison (can't right now remember her last name) who recently went on tour w/ Robert Plant. I will bring over his AI profile which I find interesting as well.
  8. Hee I'm waiting for the......."Oh he told her but he didn't tell us" posts to start! That is a good article. I love Kelly. And it would make sense if he told her. That have been friends for a long time.
  9. that cake does sound really good even I eat it & drink my baking soda water does it cancel out the calories ? My friend from the AI site made this video of my favorite all time Clay Aiken song
  10. I wouldn't be so sure that it's their own clack. But I guess I'm just jaded and overly cautious at this point. that's okay I will just choose to be naive on this issue bundling Clack as a "freebie" -- there's no such thing as a "freebie". Letting others know that the seller usually "offers" Clack allows people to justify higher bids. Clack should be offered on a "no purchase necessary rule" since whoever offers them didn't pay anyone for the rights, whether they took them themselves or not. sigh I already purchased it and that website does not work well with my computer
  11. They aren't selling Clack it is free with your purchase. I had the feeling that it is the person's own DVD. They probably can't legally sell it because of copyright issues so they include it as a gift with your purchase. Kind of like the year some people were selling a red sox baseball hat & as a free gift to you for buying they included a World Series ticket.
  12. When I purchased All is Well from the same buyer she included a JBT concert & a Christmas concert. The quality was excellent. I am not sure which one I want because I love the clips I have seen of both those concerts. Kelly Clarkson is also one of my favorite female artists.
  13. Hey Merrieee do you still want to celebrate Clay? Watch this & try not to smile http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOYP_dZ7iS8 So does anyone have a opinion on which concert video I should choose? The solo tour Raleigh one or the IT tour?
  14. Anna that is cute actually I remember hearing once to just embrace the crazy. Did anyone see Britney might cancel her tour? One of my friends has tickets for her show here. She will be so disappointed if there isn't a concert.
  15. I am so confused you know this was my first ever online discussion about the term Claymate so I haven't been on this gerbil wheel before. And for new fans the converstaion is new. Anyway let's celebrate Clay okay sounds good to me. I won the EBay item I bid on of Clay's radio promotion CD and I have to chose a concert DVD that comes with it. Which one would you pick Raleigh first concert Kelly/Clay concert (not sure which venue)
  16. My friend Dave wore a Clay Aiken concert t-shirt to work on day. He recieved many strange looks. But I think it may have been because he wore a Christmas concert t-shirt in September (the day of the People magazine cover). My friend Dave wore a Clay Aiken concert t-shirt to work on day. 17. Canfly doesn't matter where ever I go I usually have people misunderstand me so if you can follow me that would be great My older sister followed the Grateful Dead one summer. Slept in fields. Some stuff she still won't admit to. She never calls herself a Deadhead. I have had people come in the store I work part time at and buy parrot statues & say they are Parrot heads & people go crazy over them. So maybe the term will come to be endearing one. Who knows.
  18. Oh tribeca -- I'm afraid those people at your Spamalot show were probably NOT the worse of the fandom. Not by a long shot. They were just rude. Let's put it this way -- I'm very very glad Clay has Jerome. I don't know when the lights came on & Sir Robin saw them he pooped his pants
  19. I'm sittin' here laughin' my ass off :lmaosmiley-1: ...except for the face you posted. Don't be I thought maybe you didn't like my joke I woulda turned around and given them the Canadian death glare. :signs012: I have seen that Canadian death glare from my me mere (god rest her soul) That doesn't have anything to do with being a Claymate. That is just being an ignorant, inconsiderate person. Being one does not automatically make you the other. I think 'we' put a far more negative spin on the word than any of the 'not just us' people do. That's why I said Clay fan/Claymate because they were definitely one of them or that would not quoted only his lines. And yes they were very incondierate & probably turned some people off from Clay (it is sad but it is true that happens). I will disagree with your last statement. But may just being we see things differently. But the conversation is about the word Claymate, no? Why does rude behaviour have to be assigned to that name? Because 'we' are doing it, that's why. They weren't rude because they are Claymates, they were rude because they were rude. Rude, inconsiderate people are not exclusive to Clay fans. When I sat in the balcony there was a mother and son sitting in front of me, and the child spent the majority of the show playing with a gameboy and standing on the seat. Pretty sure they weren't Claymates. I was responding to Canfly about that lady who would not meet her. Lots of things are not exclusive to Clay or his fans . Right now David Archuleta youtube comments are very familar to many of us. Of course not all fans or all people are the same. for me they ruined my show that is all I meant and they represented probably the worst of the fanbase. Canfly yes that is what I meant can you follow me around?

  21. sorry Canfly well that lady lost out but to tell the turth the first time I went to Spamalot some Clay fans/Claymates ruined my show. The 2 ladies behind us said every darn line of Clay's with him. It was very annoying. My niece wanted to tell them she didn't pay to hear them talk . I would have said something but they scared me a little.
  22. Canfly are you the lady who made out with the pottery Clay on JKL? the poll is in the poll folder or you could just use the new posts key that Couchie loves so much. Funny I thought I was the only one who didn't like it although I have come to except that it isn't going anywhere.
  23. it made for a good discussion (that poll) for a little while than it got a little nasty in there. I don't know the person who posted it that well but honestly I felt the idea came out of things that had been posted. Also the person who started it I read her posts & she to me seems very kind & very intelligent. I don't think it was done in a mean spirited way or childish way like some people had posted. JMHO I don't vote only because I have only belonged there for not even a month. I did vote on thread about the term Claymate though.
