Happy Thanksgiving everyone. This is going to be the easiest thanksgiving for me in a long time. I usually cook everything but I guess my mom was bored and the turkey, stuffing and greens were already cooking when I got home from work yesterday. That works for me. Enjoy your food and company. I hope your team wins and you wake up ready to blast through those Xmas sales. Although work wise it has been an extremely difficult year I'm thankful for my family, and friends, including my internet buddies. I'm thankful for Ansa because she helped renew the fun in working on FCA. Special shout out to all my travel buddies this year and the reason for that travel.

glad to hear Clique is doing better. I may have to order my JNT stuff through them.

For those not listening to the reports...Clay sang Emmanuel tonight. No Jacob in the second half. Hope he is ok.

Whoo hoo Clay on Emmanuel..Can't wait for the mp3. I've never been in love with the song and I really love how Jacob sings it. I'm just always up for new clack from Clay.

Re: Finding Clay Aiken web site We're moving servers. Hopefully there won't be an interruption but since I don't know what the hell I'm doing there just might be. Hopefully when everybody wakes up tomorrow they won't notice a thing and everything will be working. If not, we'll get it back as soon as posssible.

Love that idea bottlecap...theoretically of course. If I had said Xmas pins I think that might work better for the holidays than the shadowbox.

The stream is really sketchy for me tonight. The last song is coming in pretty good though. And i can hear the laughter and response to the show...and that's nice.

ClaytonDaze..I agree with you. FCA did four pins and frankly only the Good News pin is in violation. We used a photo. We also got caught up in the whole thing. The other 3 pins I believe are all ok. Pins can be made without using Clay's image or violating his copyrights... it just take a bit more thought. And it will just take all of us working together to help each other stay on the right side. It can be done. Open communicaiton is important and hopefully we can discuss this without a lot of hyperbole and attacks on others!

Yeah, this is difficult. It was easy before because we just put everything up. I'm sorry but IMO sketches of Clay are still Clay and clearly are in violation. Pipe in if you know better. I admit to being ignorant on this. The trademarked terms are also kind of iffy. Are these all approved. And Claymates? I just don't know how anybody on Team Clay would come after a pin maker for that. I could be wrong though. I guess my advice to everyone is to really think about their pins before paying a pinmaker -- also use this forum for input and to get feedback. We will seek advice from those in the know.

Ok, in case you all haven't noticed, the new policy at FCA is that we will not host any pins that violate Clay's copyright or use his image. THIS MEANS GOING FORWARD. If your pin is already posted this does not apply to you. We will keep up all pins as a record of the pin craze. I have read some of the drama going on at the Clayboard and had written a post but it was locked before I could post it. The bottom line is that using Clay's image or his copyright is illegal. I knew that too. It's not a surprise to me. What also isn't surprising to me is that as usual Clay fans turn on each other or that Clay fans turn on him with a vengence. Frankly, when I heard about Soapy's C&D - I thought well it's time to play by the rules. There are a ton of pins that don't violate Clay's copyright whatsoever. Now folks will have to use a bit more creativity. The why why whys about why so and so is still on ebay is typical. Because some would rather have Clay's people move on from one pin maker to all pin makers to clack to charms rather than just say..oops caught. There have always been diligent efforts to remove people who profit illegally from his very first Look What Love Has Done. There have been C&D orders issued in the past. They are reported and are taken through the process and they reappear using other names. I mean, soapy could do that too if she so wished and it could very well be 5 months before she got another letter. If Clay's people ignores the blatant violation of Clay's copyright or use of his image than he could lose it. Why fight to get it away from E19 only to lose it to us. Because he's supposed to what, love us? Get real folks. I personally am not angry that every pin maker didn't get a D&C. I'm happy about that. I am taking the hint and moving forward. When and if I ever get a letter from Clay's lawyers I'm gonna frame that baby as the ultimate peice of clack and understand I got it cuz I broke the rules in the first place and pushed things too far. All FCA pins have beens shipped - the last batch went out Saturday.

Bonniemeadow I often wonder the same things. My family knows a lot..but they sure as hell don't know everything. Yeah, they'd see my stash and wonder if I was crazy.... got lots of duplicate stuff (which reminds me I think I owe bottlecap something). But lord, I hope they just wipe the computer clean and take it home heee. Don't know what they'd say if they found my EAYOR book mark. Anyway, think I better start a trust account to pay for FCA after I cross over LOL- can't let all those links disappear into the great beyond.

I do remember you....because you specifically mentioned the FCA forums. I know we have a ton of traffic on FCA - the website --but we're still a small forum community compared to most. I hope you come to the next event -- there are parties in the bay area every now and then and I'll make sure you know about them. And maybe we can spend some time chatting. I didn't get to do much of that. I pretty much "worked" the whole party and didn't really get to enjoy as a guest. I was SO worried about folks having a great time. So far I haven't heard any complaints. And yes - the food was delicious. Loved the rest of your recap too!!

Hey everybody...I survived. Not Clay. But hosting my first pre-party..damn I've gone to twenty something of these things and now I know how much work they are. I hope everybody had a good time. You won't be seeing double I posted this at the CH also. I don't normally do that but how many ways can I say, I love Clay Aiken. Oh...yeah I know ..i can go on and on and on. What struck me most tonight is how wonderful he sounded. The voice is what I came for and it's why I stay - that amazing instrument. And there is nothing better than the one two punch of Don't Save it All for Xmas Day and Good News. And hopefully when I'm attending JNT10, he will still be saving the best for last. I guess others who have seen it before and then tonight will have to explain things to me..maybe something was different. I do believe some of the staging tonight was due to the small stage. I never lost sight of Clay. He was right there in front of me all night. He was the heart and soul of everything. Ya'll had me skeeeered. As for the whole production - I loved it. There were so many little touches. I found it sentimental, for sure, but not cheesy. I thought there would be more cheese. Hell I wouldn't have minded more cheese. I'm as cynical as they come but when it comes to Clay that cynicism drains away. Those wanting Clay to write a song so you can know what's on his mind - I say listen. He has told us time and again in a variety of ways. Perhaps what he has to say isn't what you want to hear. But I think when he finally writes that song it will not be so different from what he has been saying to us for the last 3 years. I'm glad Clay wasn't afraid to do something different. He fascinates me. I'm curious to know what he has in store. He will not always win everyone over. That's what happens when you take risks. Some folks will snicker. Others will be disappointed. But he has to go with his gut. Someone brought up the fact that he is an old soul. I feel like he was born about 40 years too late. He belongs in generations past. But I'm glad he's in the here and now. I want to thank everyone who attended the party tonight. We had a inter board party tonight with folks from all the boards laughing and eating and enjoying Clay together. In addition to all that -- WFI got a healthy dose of supplies for the upcoming Christmas season and I will be sending almost 1000 to BeadForLife. As my mom said... those Clay fans are good people!! I bought 3 cakes for the party but they never cut into the smaller one with Clay's beautiful face all over it. So unfortunately I had to bring it home. heee. I guess I should go to bed...I need to get up in 3 hours for work!

Ah Season of Romance...guess that's the real name of the song. Seattle seems to be into it. Yay. I love it when I hear a burst of laughter or appreciative applause.
