WOW, that photo is stranger than mine! But how do you explain the pink bow? Legend has it that a stagehand hung himself in the Brady and that he sits in the rafters watching the shows. I thought maybe he was jumping down to get a better look.

I have a question for you all...Can you get a double exposure using a digital camera or is this one of the Brady ghosts? It looks like Clay's jacket sleeve but it is flat like there is no arm in it and if it IS a double exposure, where did that pink bow come from?

Another update: Tulsa Pre-Party The Tulsa pre party will be at the Crowne Plaza tentatively from 3:00pm-6:00pm. The chef is working on the final menu so that is not finalized but it is called "The Will Rogers". Until the menu is determined we do not have a set price but it will NOT be over $25. Being that the food is buffet style you do not have to be there right at 3:00pm to eat. There will be a auction that has been approved by The BAF, raffle and drawings. Not to mention free give aways. More information plus menu and cost to come so please stay tuned. OKClayfans

I just want to make sure that everyone knows that if you want the special rate for more than one night, you need to call the hotel directly . When you call, make sure you are talking to someone at the hotel. If nobody is at the reservation desk they automatically transfer the call to the 800 number. If you have any problems let me know either here or by pm and I'll call the lady I have been dealing with at the hotel. I know you were talking about IGB and this doesn't have anything to do with that, but I read something interesting today. I get the newspaper everyday but seem to end up reading them all on Saturday mornings. lol. Anyway in Monday's paper there was a big picture of Ruben and a big headline saying "Ruben Studdard coning here". ( Of course when we had our CD Release Party Clay got a full page.) The article says: "American Idol" season 2 winner Ruben Studdard comes to Tulsa on May 25 for the Expo Square Pavilion concert "Superstar Idols Live". Joining Studdard will be season 4 and 5 finalists Ace Young, Lisa Tucker, Will Maker, Jessica Sierra, Lindsey Cardinale and Mikalah Gordon. Studdard known to his fans as the Velvet Teddy Bear, boasts a silky R&B voice, which beat out "Idol" favorite Clay Aiken in 2003. Goes on to talk about Ruben's CD sales. Tickets are $20, $25, $30 and for $100 you get a meet & greet backstage pass, autograph and after-party access. (Bold is mine) Did we know about this? I don't mean to put Ruben down in any way. I just found it interesting that they have another Idol tour. This is just one more reason why we need to be thankful that Clay did not win because Clay will be singing at Frisco and other places with an orchestra...and tickets will not be $20-$30 (although one can wish).

Hotel problems have been resolved. ALL rooms will be non smoking after the remodeling so if you booked a smoking room but wanted a non-smoking room, you are okay. Also those who are coming in a day early or staying a day late need to call the local number for the hotel (918-582-9000) to get the special rate for each day. She apologized and said they always have problems like this when people use central reservations (800 number), probably because they don't know our agreement. If you paid a higher rate, call them back...we added another 20 rooms to the block. :TourExcite: edited to fix phone number

I understand the hotel in Tulsa is telling people they only have smoking rooms left. I called the hotel and was told there were non-smoking rooms available, just not in our block. Hey all! Just wanted to update you on Oklahoma concert plans. I have been working with the Crowne Plaza, which is within walking distance to the Historic Brady Theater. It is beautiful. They are totally remodeling and should be completed by the time of the concert. We will be getting a special rate. I should have the password tomorrow (it has to be put into the system). The preparty will probably be held at the hotel also so it should be easy for everyone! :TourExcite:

I so agree with all of you. I posted on the OFC once and was viciously attacked...won't make that mistake again. lol! I personally believe there has been no update or response to the venue situation because Clay is in Africa or somewhere for UNICEF. And since Clay is not around, here is another Tulsa update for you. :medium-smiley-070: I emailed the Brady Theater and asked if it really was confirmed and this was his response: Yes, Tulsa has been quadruple confirmed.

ldyjocelyn, Southwest has a $79 fare from Houston to Tulsa. A lot of the Oklahomans are going to Houston and then flying back. Not me though...my two were Dallas and Tulsa. Still hoping for something in Kansas, Arkansas, or Missouri. They are also looking into chartering a bus from Dallas to Tulsa for those who had nonrefundable tickets. After the AI recap, Clay Looney (go figure- Clay announces Clay) said "another American Idol, Clay Aiken, remember him?, is coming to Tulsa, July 7th at the Brady Theater. Clay Aiken has released 3 CD's, including a Christmas CD. I am sure it will be a sell out". (Meanwhile, they showed the totally hot pictures from the photo shoot taken for ATDW.) Couch, my brother was the exact opposite when I asked him if he wanted to go to a concert. His exact words were "Hell yes, me in a room with hundreds of women, you bet!" haha And you know what? He loved the concert and wants to go to more! And this is coming from a "hard rock" guy. BTW, he's single, 51, and lives in Grand Prairie ladies. Cute too if I say so myself. I also think Clay wants to be played on the radio...remember how excited he was during the DS interview when he heard Invisible on the radio? Here's another thing that confuses me about Clay and radio. There is so much talk in the media about how Clay should have been the winner and how much better he has done than Ruben, that AI is rigged-just look at Clay and Ruben, etc., so everyone knows how great of a singer he is, but no one will play him on the radio. Doesn't make sense to me. I guess it is just one more thing that makes me go hmmmm. Oh and just so you all know...I've been on the waiting list for that elite board for 3 years! :medium-smiley-070:

We have a large fan group that gets together monthly here and everyone is always talking about how evil RCA and Clive are. I used to believe that too but then it just didn't make sense to me anymore. Why would they not want to make money? We had a DJ come talk to us about 2 years ago. We asked him why Clay wasn't played on the radio and why there was no push by RCA. He said Clay didn't need it...RCA would spend the money on those who needed it. I have always wondered though, if he can sell 500,000 with no promotion, wouldn't they want him to sell more which in turn means more money for them (the failing record business)? Anyway, back to my group here, my only argument has been "what if this is what Clay wants?" Maybe he's happy with things the way they are...it lets him do other things that he likes. They don't agree with me. I think I heard a while back that the payola came from the artist...is that right? If so, I would definitely believe Clay didn't want it (not that I would know, of course).

WOW what a great discussion you guys are having. And I agree with most of what you are saying; other things I still wonder about occasionally like what I am going to tell you about here. First let me say I have had a dialogue going with a few DJ's in town for the past 3-4 years. It is all good natured. I beg for them to play Clay, they say when he hits the top 20 they will, and I say okay. That's it. Anyway, since The Brady Theater said Clay was definitely going to be there, a friend of mine came up with this really fun idea...a dunk tank where we could dunk the DJ's who wouldn't play Clay. haha Anyway, I emailed one of the stations and told them Clay was going to be here in July and that we wanted to sell tickets to fans and let them try to dunk a DJ and asked if any of them would volunteer. I even suggested it should be the PD and named him. I got this response from the PD: He said he knew Clay was coming to Tulsa because they had asked KBEZ to sponsor it but they had a prior commitment. He said it will be interesting to see how it sells. (They have no clue do they?) I emailed him back and told him he didn't answer my question...would he let us dunk him? He replied "Why do you want to dunk me? I'm your only hope of hearing Clay on the radio. You should be wining and dining me." I told him "I tried that...it didn't work." He replied again, and this is what I find interesting: "hahahaha. I personally don't mind him, but he's really having an identity crisis with Radio right now. For some reason there is not much passion for his music and I can't put my finger on it. His label doesn't badger us much about his music either. FYI." I know you don't believe RCA is evil or the problem so how do you take this? This is one of the things I wonder about. Sounds like RCA is NOT helping Clay get played on the radio. Hi all! I live in Tulsa and have been in contact with the Brady Theater for a couple of weeks now. Believe me, we are trying to get everything cleared up. I don't think he knew what hit him today...I finally started getting generic emails. Here is the last one I received: Dear Clay Aiken fans – Many of you have written expressing the desire to see Clay perform in Tulsa. To give credit where it is due, then first request I received was from Susan Graves. Susan asked if I could see about getting Clay to come to Tulsa a while back and, as I always do, once I read the e-mail I contacted Clay’s agent. With that in mind, here’s the good news: we have confirmed Clay Aiken for a show at the Brady Theater on Saturday, July 7. Now, before everyone gets worked up because the fan club site has a Dallas date listed on July 7, I have to tell you that I have already contacted the agent and asked him about that. We just received confirmation of the show last night. I sent an e-mail to the agent this morning asking him to reconfirm the date. There could be an error on his part or an error on the fan club site’s part. I do not know when tickets will goon sale yet. As soon as the on sale date is set, it will be posted on our web site at www.bradytheater.com. I am sure this event will sell out and I feel confident it will do so quickly. All I can recommend is to try and buy your tickets as quickly as possible. While I certainly respect every fan’s enthusiasm for their favorite artist, I’ll ask that you please stay tuned the web site for updates. I would bet that I will have it listed on our events page within a few days or two and the information will include prices and when tickets go on sale. I'm sorry to hear about that. I also always feel a bit guilty when people say things like this -- because at almost 6 foot tall, I'm usually one of the people doing the obstructing. It's a real bind sometimes for me -- I want the best, but I also hate that people are having a terrible time seeing around me. What to do, what to do? I'm sorry...I keep opening my mouth and putting my foot in it huh? The problem more than likely isn't you...it could be because I'm only 5'2". BWAH!
