  1. Well, I think all of us are nuts, but love ya anyway; have loved I Survived You with a obsessive love since I first heard it (Houston IT 2004 kicks TOTAL ass!)
  2. KAndre snickers quietly to herself... Kayaking? In November? In SEATTLE?!?!?!? I'll go to Seattle. I like Seattle. And I will quite happily have committed anyone who attempts to convince me to freeze my ass off in a little boat in the middle of the wilderness in the middle of winter. I was tricked once by you people into dipping a toe in the Pacific - never again. The Carribbean is my water world, people. Besides, we need to meet up in San Antonio for Labor Day anyhow.
  3. KAndre stops writhing around Everlasting Love and To Love Somebody in a orgiastic menage a trois long enough to say... If I showed any more love to EL, I'd be having triplets! EL is one of the few songs I am interested in the lyrics - I'll be your freakin' bride, Clay! No pre-nups! But the visual of To Love Somebody owns me, lock, stock and barrel.
  4. Hmmm...a Clay concert experience versus other artists....I have to agree with Couchie. I've never gone to a lot of concerts but the ones I've been to were incredible in different ways. Clay does have more a direct connection with his audience than any other entertainer I've seen for the size of the venue (I've been to little jazz clubs where I swear I was on a date with the bass player)...MJ put on an extravaganza that was an event - the audience united in a way that's hard to describe - it was almost an out of body experience. Prince - oh man, Prince - he hit Houston on that tour where he said this was the last time he would do his old stuff and it was sublime. John Legend - eye candy and pretty singing. I honestly can't say Clay is the best concert experience I've had - but he is third behind Prince and MJ - and I've have better seats at Clay's concerts. The concert at Buttfuck, ND - Lord, I can't even remember the name of the city - was the pinnacle of my Clay concert - first concert of the tour so everything was fresh - perfect standing placement at the catwalk - a freakin' killer setlist - and I got to flirt with Clay AND Jacob. And then there was Atlantic City, nights 1 and 2 with the JBT - perfect in every way - including screaming at some heifer trying to make me sit down. And last, but not least, West Point - where I saw the heart of a performer (and Scarlett couldn't recognize Jerome).
  5. I'm alive! Caresses her modem passionately... merrieeee, whaddaya mean it doesn't work like that? I did the exact same thing in Rome and figure I got a free pass from the Pope! BTW, Peche Lambic is tasty.
  6. Am suffering through family issues in East Texas (no freakin' cell and am at my Uncle's girlfriend's son's girlfriend house on dial-up on what has got to be a 486 - and please don't get me started on the public health system in Texas for people without insurance) and hope to be back in pocket next week. Have skimmed enough to say good riddance to bad rubbish (I am not in the mood to be tolerant) - to correct Scarlett (Chick, it wasn't Ben - hell, I owned the original soundtrack album with all the rats on it - Ben is in my top 10 MJ songs - it was some other cut I still have never heard because you still haven't got it to me) - and I'll be damned if I'm not heartbroken that Michael Jackson is dead... He did the soundtrack to my life, and I could not and cannot believe the worst of him. RIP, Michael.
  7. And I was funny in a literary way! Apparently it's a quote from Beowulf (ya know, one of naked Angelina Jolie's offspring, or the guy that killed her...there's only so much literature that sticks in my head), and Wiki claims it means "That was [a] good king!" And while I'm typing, a real literary type person shows up! OK, here goes nuttin': Clay: Þæt wæs god cyning of singinde! That goodness the internets make me a complete smartass... ETA: A little scary, but we love you anyhoo...
  8. checks to see if her basketball team is still in the playoffs. Apparently not. OK. Go Rockets! Nah, I think everybody on the page was trying to be funny (I was successful, but apparently nobody noticed. Ha! I slay myself!)
  9. "Notith"? "Notith"?!?!? Pah! Clay! Þæt wæs god cyning! Now that's old school!
  10. Some people need to check their PMs and voice mails AND texts! Ha! kf's my girl. Even though she knows a lot of esoteric songs by some Beatles dudes and doesn't have my deep appreciation for the Monkees. pets Clay's Wiki page... The man is doing good. I'm not stressing.
  11. Having put on a large (but sexy) turban, KAndre actually notices the pleas of her minions...and since answering questions is more fun than work, decides to give it a shot... How many vacation days should I set aside this year? Hmmmm, the answer is...LOTS! (this is easier than I thought!) Where should we fly on our next vacation (and please don't say Buenos Aires in July)? Preferably someplace with an airport (and cabana boys carrying drinks) What's your favorite color? Diamond. And yes, it makes perfect sense! I know you said to just ask questions but do you know how much we adore you? Counts fan club receipts...Why, yes, yes I do! Keep sending me love! And do you like <insert random long narrative that explains the questioner's connection to this thing she's asking because you know she just wants a connection and/or long list of achievements and excellent traits of said questioner>? No, I only like things you have never heard of, are extremely esoteric or things that would be poisonous to you but I'll developed an immunity to over the years...like NC BBQ. Oh, and I have no question but I just wanted to wish you a nice day! No, I refuse to have a nice day, dammit! I'm only looking for kickass days! Question1 quickly followed by Question2 followed by Question3 and Questions4,5,6...10? Files nails, surfs the 'net, plays old school Tower Defense.... Why did you answer
  12. Heh. As far as I know, I've seen only 4 Rolling Stone covers - David Cassidy where he was OMG nekkid (man, that was hot to an 11 year old); one with what's his head from the Rolling Stones that looked like he was an ambulatory revenant (my sister pointed it out to me to show the weird taste of some people because she claimed she knew someone who thought he was still hot. Some delusional person clearly); Ruben's (because someone posted on a board) and I actually purchased Clay's. Never particularly cared about RS before this (as is clear), don't care one way or another about Lambert as he is not important in any way enough to me to care about. Though it does look like he has some sort of unrequited crush on Clay. Somebody needs to get him "He's Just Not That Into You." Idea: next eHP road trip, let's do some dance thingies! I'll still up for Buenos Aires!
  13. BWAH HA HAHAHAHHAHA! I mean, oooh, how nice! I definitely need a new spork! The old one is all bloody...not as clean as it should be...and the tines bend at awkward moments..
  14. BTW, I tend to look like I'm always on because I tend to have a least one computer hooked to FCA - and to look like I'm actually always keeping an eye on you people... Can't do Thai this week (anyhoo, aren't we meeting up with Kimiye at Linda's? Somebody call me tonight) - family issues abound. And I turned into a great-aunt yesterday. And am horrified. I must go out and do something hootchy immediately.
  15. Eh, I don't know - I really like old school Whitney. And I apparently liked a lot of stuff Clive put out in the day (including a number of Clay's albums). I might give it a listen if I remember.
  16. Interesting article on MSNBC today Hell, I thought Pro-Tools was bad... I really have never liked a lot of live concerts - simply because I did think the singing was sub-par in so many ways. Which was one of the reasons Clay is at the top of my favorite musical acts today - because he can really sing...and lets it all hang out there.
  17. Take home mp4s my butt (hmm, there's an idea?) Those will belong to the business! Webmistresses R Us, baybee! New sales of MOAM: Touch and WYSYLM can be the soundtracks for our little flicks! We need to call Team Clay and make 'em an offer! We are so wrong, but so right...
  18. clayzed, it may think you've already voted, otherwise you should see it just fine.
  19. Dang, I thought I was first with an esoteric reference!
  20. But damn...can someone at least tell the boy you need some actual cred before you start talking smack? Give yourself six months to see if you'll be an Aiken or Daughtery or even a Pickler...patience, djs he might end up a what's-her-name, whoozit, or his-name-was-on-the-tip-of-my-tongue... Chickies, these are just minor skirmishes - you know the real outbreaks of hostilities don't start until there are nachos decorating asses...
  21. My, isn't Adam just special! American Idol must be really grateful to have had such an established star (with coattails, even!) participate in their little show! And so willing to help the little people! Bless his itty bitty heart!
  22. Eh...the "Clay/Adam" feud is more interesting than the woman with a billion kids whose husband fooled around (how in the world did he make time?) - at least I know Adam's name. Beyond that, don't care. Clay at his worse is nicer than I - just read some of my comments on past AI contestants - hell, read some of my comments on some of Clay's outfits - and I like Clay. Apparently Adam was bitchy because of Clay's critique? OK. Was he amusingly bitchy or just boring bitchy? If boring bitchy, not interested. It's like this dude who came across PerusingOne and I as we were exiting our hotel on our first day in London. As he passed us on the sidewalk, he said quite clearly, "Fat American!" PO basically looked at each other and went "Huh?" and I scrabbled in my mind to remember if I had kicked any short Englishmen to the curb recently, but it's hard to keep track of these things. Then we made mock of him for the rest of the trip. Clay ignores the brouhaha because I think he's nicer than me; I ignore brouhahas because I generally don't care one way or other about the people making comments.
